There are quite a few round NPCs in the city, which I would guess are overweight people. I think most characters you actually see a full detailed sprite of are trainers and they probably stay relatively fit just from training their pokemon.

Am I correct in thinking that moves like Giga Impact, Hyper Beam, Blast Burn, and the other variations count as a miss if the target uses protect? Meaning if one of those moves is used on a protecting pokemon, the user wouldn't have to recharge the next turn?
