Something I can see happening in Serie A is Pogba staying one more season at Juventus. People who think they need to sell Pogba to have the money to afford Higuain are wrong, Higuains clause would be paid as two payments of 47 million over two years. This might even be lowered if they throw in Pereyra as part of the deal, someone who Napoli are interested in. Regardless, even if they dont, theyre not in any trouble as they have Lemina, Pereyra and Zaza as transfer bait and all together they can get 50m from them easily, paying the first part of Higuain's clause, and thats without taking into account the Morata money.

Theyre gonna bring Higuain in, Pogba will see this as a power move and perhaps want to stay one season, and then Juventus become absolutely ridiculous in every single position.

After that I can only hope Napoli manages to buy Icardi with the Higuain money, theres been rumors Icardi has agreed to a move to Napoli and is gonna push for it, which would be fantastic business for us, bring in someone who is Serie A proven, with a higher potential than Higuain's peak and for half the price. This also weakens Inter which is funny.

But if what I said first happens, Serie A is donezo and they have a big chance at UCL.

when youre playing football manager, its year 2019 and Higuain finishes the season like this:

So, the Manchester derby got called off because of the bad pitch conditions. To call it off that late is pretty poor form though (especially Man Utd who are already in the papers recently because of the Martial shirt number issue).

The cancellation of the friendly match between Manchester United and Manchester City is very much due to the bad condition of the turf, both teams were not willing to play in such conditions. Tenxun Sports contacted the person in-charge of stadium/match operations of Bird Nest regarding this, and he does not agree with it.

When contacted, Mr He said "there is no problem with the turf". He said they need an evaluation from a 3rd party agency to ascertain that the turf is really not suitable for match, or not. At the moment, it is only of the opinions of the 2 clubs that the condition of the turf is bad, "but we do not agree that it is the turf that caused the cancellation".

Upon being shown the photos of the turf, he said they still need a 3rd party agency to evaluate. Now, it is very subjective, they need to see figures from the evaluation of the 3rd party agency.

In preparation for this match, they started laying new turf in early July. They used grasses for the winter/cold seasons. Those grasses is definitely not as good as those of summer/hot seasons in this time of the year, but he still insisted that they do not agree that it is the conditions of the turf that caused the cancellation.

It's probably just the media but if Martial has complained about his shirt number he needs to stop being an entitled whiny bitch.

You're an 18 year old who nobody had heard of a year ago, getting paid obscene amounts of money to kick a ball around. There will be kids who worship your club who can't even afford a shirt to put a number on.

Yes, but don't you agree that that was also some poor management by United? I mean, where's the problem in telling him that they'll change his number before they actually do that? I can understand AM9 being angry about that because that's just very disrespectful from the club's end.

Is that how the pitch currently looks? lol

Apparently yes, that's how bad the pitch was. That was why both clubs refused to play (though it would be better to inform the fans earlier since some have bought the tickets)

Subtlety is my middle name
Juventus paying quite a lot of money for a bottle, could probably live to regret that decision.
A 29 year old bottle at that. Napoli must be extremely pleased that they got a club to match their ridiculous valuation of a 29 year old not named Ronaldo, Messi or Suarez who isn't even one of the top three strikers in the world. They're still being annoyingly stubborn about selling Koulibaly to us though even though we offered a decent amount and the player is keen to join us. The fact that Juve agreed to meet Napoli's enormous asking price means that the Pogba deal is very likely to go through and I'm going to die of laughter when that happens, especially considering we got Kante for less than half of what United will be paying for him. Idiots.

Replace Kante with Pogba and Leicester don't win the league title, he cost nearly 3 times less as well. Chelsea got the better deal.

I also think Higuain was worth every penny, so what if he is 29, Juventus want to step up and win the champions league now not wait 5 years and he is the best striker they had a chance of getting.

By signing a legendary choker to do it?
By signing a striker who broke the Serie A goalscoring record last season and has scored 4 goals in 5 CL games for Napoli. Combined with their other signings this summer, Higuain puts them in the mix for the next 2 CLs barring incredibly bad luck with injuries. You can call him a choker all you want, but even if he is, winning a CL is much more than winning a final and he gives them a better shot of getting to one than any other striker they could have gotten.

Is the price inflated as hell? Yes, but that's the trend in football at the moment and sometimes you have to spend more than you would like to get what you want.

People calling Higuain a bottle and whatever are just sheep repeating hot memes, bet you these people havent watched a single Napoli game from last season besides vs Juventus or something. He just had quite possibly the best season for a striker in the history of Serie A, a league known for its defensive approach to the game. Sure, he missed a sitter in a couple games, so does Lewandowski and you dont shit on him nearly as hard. Getting a hundred million is nice but trust me when I say id rather have Higuain in the team, he was one of a kind for us and without him this season will be very hard, especially when we get fucking Milik as a replacement (although I cant be upset, Napoli never disappoint on their signings, seriously when was the last time one of our signings flopped?).

And yes we are tough to negotiate with, like most teams should be. Koulibaly is gonna be staying with us or youre gonna have to pay a shitton of money to get him, we are the Athletic Bilbao of Italy and every Napoli fan is glad about it.
