"Aloha, breh. If you haven't noticed yet, we do things a little differently here in the Alola Region. Our mega stones are missing, we don't have gym leaders, and the Pokemon you thought you knew are, well, not the same.

"Take this Starmie, for example:

"Starmie are usually the Water/Psychic type, but in Alola you can find Grass/Rock types instead. Besides that, it also knows new moves, has new abilities, and even carries a slight variation in stats. Woah!"

Removed Water moves: Brine, Bubble Beam, Dive, Hydro Pump, Scald, Surf, Water Gun, Water Pulse, Waterfall
Removed Psychic moves: Cosmic Power, Dream Eater, Psychic, Psyshock, Psywave, Telekinesis, Trick, Trick Room, Wonder Room
Net loss: 18

New Grass moves: Absorb, Mega Drain, Giga Drain, Solar Beam, Leech Seed, Synthesis, Ingrain, Seed Bomb, Leaf Blade, Energy Ball, Worry Seed
New Rock moves: Sandstorm, Ancient Power, Rock Tomb, Rock Polish, Stealth Rock, Wide Guard
Net Gain: 17

New abilities: Suction Cups/Water Absorb (Regenerator)

New Stats: 60/75/95(+10)/100/95(+10)/95(-20) Total: 520

"So, brehs, as you can see, the Alola Starmie is quite different! I need your help, though. I was surfing the other day and dropped my computer in the ocean, so I need you to set out and catalog all the Alola formes for me to keep on record. It should be easy! Just follow the directions below. All right, brahs, surfs up!"

How to submit an Alola Forme

Pokemon:
New typing: (Family must share at least one type)[Be creative! Try to make the new typing as far from the original as possible for a really fun twist!]
New abilities: (Keep the same amount as original)
New stats: Net change must equal 0. No more than +/- 30 in any single stat. (You cannot increase a Pokemon's higher attack/defense if the difference between both attacks/defense is more than 50. For example, Tauros has an attack "gap" of 60 (100 - 40), so you can't add to its higher Attack stat. You can deduct from it, however, to put toward other stats.) Also, try not to go too crazy with boosting already powerful stats; Just because you can make a Tyranitar forme with 164 base Attack doesn't mean you should. You may swap a Pokemon's Attack and Special Attack before modifying them, but the gap rule still applies to the new higher stat.
New/removed moves
: (You cannot add more moves than you remove unless you're adding a dual type to a single typed Pokemon. Then you can double the new moves total. If you're just adding a secondary type to a single-typed Pokemon, you can add 10 moves for free.)
Flavor/Design: (optional)

Pokemon: Staryu

Pokemon: Oddish
New Typing: Fire / Ghost

Flavour / Design: Oddish used to be found abundantly in Alolan rainforests until several cataclysmic volcanic eruptions destroyed the forests, leaving Oddish with no home. But the ashes of the burnt trees proved very nutritious, so the Oddish hung around forest fires and volcanic eruptions until they adapted to the surroundings. The grass on its head is replaced by a red-orange bonfire and its colour turns into a deep burgundy.

Pokemon: Gloom
New Typing: Fire / Ghost
New Abilities: Flame Body / Flash Fire (Aftermath)
New Stats: 60 / 70 (+5) / 40 (-30) / 105 (+20) / 50 (-25) / 70 (+30)

Flavour / Design: Alolan Gloom evolve from Alolan Oddish and have different features from their Kanto hailing counterparts. The droolsap is replaced by molten lava that drips from Gloom's mouth. The molting petals of Gloom are replaced by orange flames and the budding flower is replaced by black coals formed from the torched remains of grass types lost in Forest Fires. Alolan Gloom collect these remains and use them in bonfire rituals to worship and honour the dead grass types.

Pokemon: Vileplume
New Typing: Fire / Ghost

Flavour / Design: Alolan Vileplume have a burgundy body, with the coals on its head forming a miniature volcano. Vileplume studies the physiology of the volcanoes it lives near and can predict whenever a volcano is about to erupt. It, however, summons eruptions whenever either Pokemon or people disturb its sacred bonfire rituals, so it is both revered and feared amoung the Alolan local.

Pokemon:Bellossom
New Typing: Fire / Fairy

Alolan Bellossom have flaming grass skirts with a flaming ponytail. A bright red and slight pink colour scheme shows on Bellossom. Alolan Bellossom has moved past the deaths in forest fires and eruptions, and instead performs dancing rituals to celebrate the new life generated by them.

Pokemon: Paras
New typing: Ground/Poison
New abilities: Poison Touch/Sturdy (Rough Skin)
New stats: 41(+6)/45(-25)/61(+6)/60(+20)/55/18(-7)
Removed moves: Leech Life, Giga Drain, Aromatherapy, X-Scissor, Sunny Day, Solar Beam, Energy Ball, Struggle Bug, Grass Knot, Leech Seed, Seed Bomb, Synthesis, Worry Seed (-13)
New Moves: Rock Slide, Stealth Rocks, Ancient Power, Earthquake, Earth Power, Sand Attack, Venom Drench, Acid Spray, Powder, Toxic Spikes, Rock Blast, Mud Shot, Mud Bomb (+13)
Flavor: In the Alola region, a different type of mushroom infected Paras, one that is much more poisonous. Paras uses these poison spores for surprising Pokemon that enter its territory. These mushrooms have caused Paras to live underground, as that is the perfect place for them to grow. Along with its poisonous spores, Alolan Paras uses its larger body and pincers to catch any prey that wanders into its domain.
Design: Alolan Paras has a slightly larger, rockier looking body that is brown, as well as larger pincers. The mushrooms on its back are dark purple with bright lime green spots.

Pokemon: Parasect
New typing: Ground/Poison
New abilities: Poison Touch/Sturdy (Rough Skin)
New stats: 65(+5)/65(-30)/93(+13)/85(+25)/75(-5)/22(-8)
Removed moves: Leech Life, Giga Drain, Aromatherapy, X-Scissor, Sunny Day, Solar Beam, Energy Ball, Struggle Bug, Grass Knot, Leech Seed, Seed Bomb, Synthesis, Worry Seed (-13)
New Moves: Rock Slide, Stealth Rocks, Ancient Power, Earthquake, Earth Power, Sand Attack, Venom Drench, Acid Spray, Powder, Toxic Spikes, Rock Blast, Mud Shot, Mud Bomb (+13)
Flavor: While Alolan Paras spend all their time in caves, Alolan Parasect will often leave its cave to hunt for food. It has endless patience, and can wait days to find prey that will get close enough for it to strike. Alolan Parasect uses its huge claws and extremely deadly poison to surprise its prey and subdue it quickly, as it cannot move fast enough to chase after escaping prey.
Design: Alolan Parasect has thicker legs, as well as giant claws used for digging through the earth. The mushroom on its back is a dark purple with lime green spots.

Pokemon: Mankey
New typing: Psychic/Fire
New abilities: Inner Focus/Magic Guard (Serene Grace)
New stats: 40/50/30/65/45/85 (305) (0/-30/-5/+30/0/+5)
New/removed moves: Removed: Close Combat, Karate Chop, Low Kick, Brick Break, Rock Smash, Bulk Up, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Earthquake, Hone Claws, Thrash, Fury Swipes, Scratch (-13)
Added: Tail Glow, Psychic, Psyshock, Confusion, Psybeam, Calm mind, Healing Wish, Recover, Dazzling Gleam, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Lava Plume, Will-O-Wisp (+13)
Flavor/Design: The Mankey in Alola region seem calm and collected thanks to the wonderful aroma in the region. These Mankey conistently show a smiling face and prefers to meditate rather than fight. These Mankey group together so they can play together after meditation. One notable feature that is seen on Alolan Mankey is its tail, which is glowing very bright with Fire.

Pokemon: Primeape
New typing: Psychic/Fire
New abilities: Inner Focus/Magic Guard (Serene Grace)
New stats: 65/75/50/90/70/115 (455) (0/-30/-10/+30/0/+10)
New/removed moves: Removed: Close Combat, Karate Chop, Low Kick, Brick Break, Rock Smash, Bulk Up, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Earthquake, Hone Claws, Thrash, Fury Swipes, Scratch (-13)
Added: Tail Glow, Psychic, Psyshock, Confusion, Psybeam, Calm mind, Healing Wish, Recover, Dazzling Gleam, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Lava Plume, Will-O-Wisp (+13)
Flavor/Design: Now that Mankey evolved into Primeape, its tail is now gone, but it's hands are now covered with Fire. Its fire though, is not very harmful unless facing an enemy. Unlike Mankey, Alolan Primape are solitary Pokemon. An Alolan Primapae likes to spend its time learning about Fire Magic.

Pokemon: Growlithe
New typing: Ice
New abilities: Strong Jaw/Snow Cloak(Fur Coat)
New stats: 55/75/40/65/45/70 (0/+5/-5/-5/-5/+10)
New/removed moves:
Removed: Ember, Flame Wheel, Flame Burst, Flamethrower, Heat Wave, Flare Blitz, Fire Blast, Overheat, Will-O-Wisp, Fire Spin, Incinerate, Flame Charge, Sunny Day, Solar Beam (14)
Added: Ice Fang, Ice Shard, Powder Snow, Ice Ball, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Freeze Dry, Frost Breath, Hail, Icy Wind, Avalanche, Water Pulse, Hone Claws, Icicle Crash (14)
Flavor/Design: While the people of Kanto have tamed their Growlithe to become their loyal pets, the people of Alola have instead resisted and isolated the Growlithe to the icy mountains. Due to this, the Growlithe had to adapt to the cold mountain climate. As the life there is harsher, the jaws and teeth of the Growlithe have grown very strong to ensure the catch of the prey. Due to the lack of heat, Growlthe's fur had grown thicker to preserve body heat. The Growlithe in the mountain learned to coexist with some of the Pokemon that live in the cold mountain such as Vulpix and Sandshrew.

Pokemon: Arcanine
New typing: Ice/Dark
New abilities: Strong Jaw/Snow Cloak (Fur Coat)
New stats: 90/120/70/90/70/115 (0/+10/-10/-10/-10/+20)
New/removed moves:
Removed: Ember, Flame Wheel, Flame Burst, Flamethrower, Heat Wave, Flare Blitz, Fire Blast, Overheat, Will-O-Wisp, Fire Spin, Incinerate, Flame Charge, Sunny Day, Solar Beam (14)
Added: Ice Fang, Ice Shard, Powder Snow, Ice Ball, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Freeze Dry, Frost Breath, Hail, Icy Wind, Avalanche, Water Pulse, Hone Claws, Icicle Crash, Knock Off, Night Slash, Dark Pulse, Feint Attack, Pursuit, Foul Play (20)
Flavor/Design: While the icy mountain has made Pokemon such as Vulpix and Ninetales nice and fuzzy, it has made Growlithe much tougher therefore evolving to the very aggressive Arcanine. With jaws as hard as steel, and limbs as fast as Rapidash, this thing is very scary to face. This untamable creature cannot be stopped, biting and clawing anyone who comes near it. It is said that the only thing that can calm this beast down is the aura and beauty of the majestic Ninetales.

Pokemon: Bulbsocket the Bellsprout
New typing: Grass/Electric
New abilities: Chlorophyll/Heatproof (I wanted to add Volt Absorb, but the Bellsprout family only has two abilities :()
New stats: 50/35/35/75/70/50 (and believe me: I wanted to make it much faster).
New/removed moves:
Added: Charge Beam, Light Screen, Rain Dance, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Thunder Wave, Volt Switch (+9)
Subtracted: Acid, Acid Spray, Belch, Clear Smog, Gastro Acid, Infestation, Poison Powder, Sludge Bomb, Venoshock (-9)
If Didn't Care About Rules: Discharge, Electro Ball, Electroweb, Hyper Voice, Shock Wave, Sonic Boom, Supersonic, Thunder Shock, Wild Charge (++9)
Flavor/Design: Has a more yellowish set of leaves from storing electricity. The roots are black and more like cable than anything else, through which Bellsprout absorbs electricity. Has a pair of antennae which glow, which is used to attract the bugs that Bellsprout and co eat. Entire family glows like a lightbulb if agitated, excited, or attacking.

Pokemon: Weepinbulb the Weepinbel
New typing: Grass/Electric
New abilities: Chlorophyll/Heatproof (H/A) (I wanted to add Volt Absorb, but the Bellsprout family only has two abilities :()
New stats: 65/45/50/90/55/65
New/removed moves:
Added: Charge Beam, Light Screen, Rain Dance, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Thunder Wave, Volt Switch (+7)
Subtracted: Acid, Acid Spray, Belch, Clear Smog, Gastro Acid, Infestation, Poison Powder, Sludge Bomb, Venoshock (-9)
If Didn't Care About Rules: Discharge, Electro Ball, Electroweb, Hyper Voice, Shock Wave, Sonic Boom, Supersonic, Thunder Shock, Wild Charge (++9)
Flavor/Design: The antennae are now a little bit longer, while the vine from which Weepinbel hangs is more like a tail, with a bulb like appendage at the end.

Pokemon: Victreebolt the Victreebel
New typing: Grass/Electric
New abilities: Chlorophyll/Heatproof (H/A)
New stats: 80/60/65/105/100/80 (0/-45/0/+5/+30/+10)
New/removed moves:
Added: Boomburst, Charge Beam, Light Screen, Overheat, Rain Dance, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Thunder Wave, Volt Switch (+9)
Subtracted: Acid, Acid Spray, Belch, Clear Smog, Gastro Acid, Infestation, Poison Powder, Sludge Bomb, Venoshock (-9)
If Didn't Care About Rules: Discharge, Electro Ball, Electroweb, Hyper Voice, Shock Wave, Sonic Boom, Supersonic, Thunder Shock, Wild Charge (++9)
Flavor/Design: Other than the previous changes, the antennae have been moved towards the stem of the top leaf. The rear vine is even longer.

This subspecies of the Victreebel family absorbs electricity from the roots (and later the cable-like vine on the back), and stores it in the leaves like a capacitor. They can be a PITFA around power plants and power cables. They will pierce cables or other electrical sources of electricity using their roots or vines, but normally live in areas with naturally occuring magnetic fields. The guts of the Alolan Bellsprout is tougher, with Victreebel being able to charge enough electricity and heat to momentarily create a strong flame, while notedly being in possession of a somewhat fire-retardant skin. Could this be to adapt to the local Marowak that normally would pose no threat? The tongue-like sensory organ can ring like a bell similar to the Chimecho family, but louder, which is used to scare off would-be predators and to make territorial/hierarchical claims.
Those ill-prepared who enter into areas inhabited by these Victreebel are known to disappear, much like the Common Victreebel. Apparently, they are just as aggressive as their cousins.

Pokemon: Geodude
New typing: Psychic/Steel
New abilities: Analytic/Anticipation/Levitate (Hidden)
New stats: 50 (+10) HP / 50 (-30) Atk / 70 (-30) Def / 60 (+30) SpA / 70 (+30) SpD / 10 (-10) Spe
New/removed moves:
Removed: Bulldoze, Rock Throw, Rock Polish, Wide Guard, Mud Sport, Magnitude, Rollout, Stone Edge, Smack Down, Rock Blast, Dig, Rock Tomb(12)
Added: Iron Head, Doom Desire, Future Sight, Confusion, Psychic, Psyshock, Gravity, Amnesia, Barrier, Calm Mind, Healing Wish, Meditate, (12)
Flavor/Design: A Geodude that lived in a cave charged with energy. Over the generations the Geodude living here absorbed so much energy that they gained psychic powers of their own. These psychic powers had unexpected effects on their bodies, by causing the Geodudes to produce magnetism and attract masses of steel to their bodies. From Chargestone Cave in Unova

Pokemon: Graveler
New typing: Psychic/Steel
New abilities: Analytic/Anticipation/Levitate (Hidden)
New stats: 65 (+10) HP / 65 (-30) Atk / 95 (-20) Def / 75 (+30) SpA / 75 (+30) SpD / 15 (-20) Spe
New/removed moves:
Removed: Bulldoze, Rock Throw, Rock Polish, Wide Guard, Mud Sport, Magnitude, Rollout, Stone Edge, Smack Down, Rock Blast, Dig, Rock Tomb(12)
Added: Iron Head, Doom Desire, Future Sight, Confusion, Psychic, Psyshock, Gravity, Amnesia, Barrier, Calm Mind, Healing Wish, Meditate, (12)
Flavor/Design: This Graveler is said to be able to control the metal coating around its body with its psychic abilities, forming arms out of the metal at will.

Pokemon: Golem
New typing: Psychic/Steel
New abilities: Analytic/Anticipation/Levitate (Hidden)
New stats: 100 (+20) HP / 90 (-30) Atk / 110 (-20) Def / 75 (+30) SpA / 85 (+30) SpD / 15 (-30) Spe
New/removed moves:
Removed: Bulldoze, Rock Throw, Rock Polish, Wide Guard, Mud Sport, Magnitude, Rollout, Stone Edge, Smack Down, Rock Blast, Dig, Rock Tomb(12)
Added: Iron Head, Doom Desire, Future Sight, Confusion, Psychic, Psyshock, Gravity, Amnesia, Barrier, Calm Mind, Healing Wish, Meditate, (12)
Flavor/Design: A Golem with a small, glowing head sticking out of the huge metal ball of spikes that is its body. This Pokemon is able to focus all of its mental energy on anything and extract any metal out of it, adding it to its own body. There have been reports of angry Alolan Golems draining the iron out of trainer's blood, causing intense dizziness.

Purpose: Looking at its special movepool, you don't see anything too amazing. Looking at its physical movepool, it's slightly worse than a Golem. Its stats aren't too impressive, either. What's the point of this thing? Well, let me tell you! Adequate mixed defensive stats mean this Pokemon can come in on quite a few things and start setting up. How does it set up, you ask? Why, with Calm Mind and Barrier of course! Calm Mind boosts its attacking power and gives it a very nice SpD boost, allowing it to easily take special hits, while Barrier gives it a huge Def! This Pokemon sets up to the point where it's borderline invincible, and no attack will do more than 20% to it if things get out of hand. Its only disadvantage is that its sole recovery move is Rest, although Rest is probably the best move for it anyway, since it relieves status, and Alolan Golem does not like status.

Pokemon: Ponyta
New typing: Water / Rock
New abilities: Run Away / Water Absorb (Sap Sipper)
New stats: 70(+20)/95(+10)/65(+10)/40(-25)/55(-10)/85(-5) Total: 410

Pokemon: Rapidash
New typing: Water / Rock
New abilities: Run Away / Water Absorb (Sap Sipper)
New stats: 80(+15)/120(+20)/80(+10)/50(-30)/70(-10)/100(-5) Total: 500
New/removed moves:
Removed Fire Moves: Ember, Fire Blast, Fire Spin, Flame Charge, Flame Wheel, Flamethrower, Flare Blitz, Heat Wave, Incinerate, Inferno, Overheat, Sunny Day, Will-O-Wisp, Solar Beam
Net Loss: 15

New Water Moves: Bubble, Hydro Pump, Whirlpool, Aqua Jet, Waterfall, Surf, Dive, Aqua Tail, Scald, Water Pulse, Rain Dance, Soak, Ice Beam, Blizzard
New Rock Moves: Sandstorm, Stealth Rock, Rock Polish, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Smack Down, Rock Tomb, Rock Throw, Head Smash, Rock Blast, Earth Power, Earthquake, Bulldoze, Iron Head
Net Gain: 30 (15 Water+15 Rock)

Flavor/Design: In the region of Alola, Ponyta and Rapidash first developed in the most fresh areas of the islands, where cold air current blew and temperature was always mite or even cold. As a result, the flames on their bodies began to dim. Groups of these Pokémon established on the beaches near the sea and got used to drink its water, being capable of digesting and reusing it thanks to the strong gastric juices that they had developed when they were able to spit fire. So their manes became made of bubbles, their bodies were gradually covered by corals and rocks, that grew on them during their long walks (that suddenly became swims) in the ocean, and their coat became green due to the marine salt. So at the present days during the cold seasons herds of Ponyta and Rapidash swim to reach the most far and warm parts of the archipelago of Alola, where their favourite algae naturally grow and return near the beaches of the places that they first colonised during spring and summer.

They are inspired to the hippocampus legend, a mythological creature that used to carry Poseidon's stagecoach and were basically finned horses.

Pokemon: Magnemite
New typing: Ghost / Psychic
New abilities: Unnerve / Illuminate / Analytic
New stats: 45 (+20) / 15 (-20) / 55 (-15) / 85 (-10) / 55 / 70 (+25) (Net Total: +0)
New/removed moves: - Thunder Shock, - Spark, - Electro Ball, - Discharge, - Zap Cannon, - Electroweb, - Shock Wave, - Thunder, - Wild Charge, + Calm Mind, + Shadow Ball, + Confusion, + Psychic, + Psybeam, + Shadow Sneak, + Future Sight, + Will-O-Wisp (Net Total: -1)
Flavor/Design: Alolan Magnemite are small energy-based life forms characterized by their semi-corporeal forms and large glowing eyes. Due to their inability to hold a completely physical existence, they are weaker and less resistant than their Kanto counterparts, although it does grant them an unnatural durability in comparison. Thus, as a result, they reside high in the skies above Alola to keep safe from threats, and to absorb radiation from the ozone from which they draw nourishment. Because of the aforementioned luminescent oculi possessed by the species, the people of Alola have been known to falsely report sightings of the Pokemon as ones accredited to extraterrestrial activity.

Pokemon: Magneton
New typing: Ghost / Psychic
New abilities: Tinted Lens / Download / Analytic
New stats: 75 (+25) / 35 (-25) / 70 (-20) / 110 (-10) / 70 / 100 (+30) (Net Total: +0)
New/removed moves: - Thunder Shock, - Spark, - Electro Ball, - Discharge, - Zap Cannon, - Electroweb, - Shock Wave, - Thunder, - Wild Charge, + Calm Mind, + Shadow Ball, + Confusion, - Electric Terrain, - Tri Attack, + Psychic, + Psybeam, + Shadow Sneak, + Future Sight, + Will-O-Wisp, + Trick, + Phantom Force (Net Total: -1)
Flavor/Design: When Alolan Magnemite have absorbed sufficient radiation, their structure transmutes to a more corporeal state, and arranges itself into a pyramidical shape. They become calculating observers, traveling in triangular patterns and watching life, Pokemon and people alike, from a safe distance, but occasionally descend to a low altitude (However, they are known for widespread terror among the groups of people when descending onto a village, so the Pokemon mainly appears near mountains, forests, or over seas.) at which they analyze choice objects/animals using beams of light from their eyes. Although they shy away from conflict at nearly all costs, The Pokemon's erratic burst movement and triangular set of ocular lights allow it to thoroughly confuse opponents when forced into a confrontation and cut through a Pokemon's natural resistances to incapacitate its foes.

Pokemon: Magnezone
New typing: Ghost / Steel
New abilities: Shadow Tag / Levitate / Analytic
New stats: 100 (+30) / 40 (-30) / 115 / 115 (-15) / 115 (+25) / 40 (-20) (Net Total: +0)
New/removed moves: - Thunder Shock, - Spark, - Electro Ball, - Discharge, - Zap Cannon, - Electroweb, - Shock Wave, - Thunder, - Wild Charge, + Calm Mind, + Shadow Ball, + Confusion, - Electric Terrain, - Tri Attack, - Magnetic Flux, + Psychic, + Psybeam, + Shadow Sneak, + Future Sight, + Will-O-Wisp, + Trick, + Phantom Force, + Trick Room (Net Total: -1)
Flavor/Design: If its pre-evolutions are the UFO phenomena of the Alolan region, then Alolan Magnezone is the mothership itself. Metamorphosed after an Alolan Magneton is exposed to a metal coat, the Magnezone native to this region have evolved into a species of collective intelligences that inhabit warped saucers of a reflective and metalline substance. It uses rounds of brightly- colored flashing lights to captivate targets before channeling its spiritual energy into a beam of energy fired from its core which immobilizes the creature and draws it close to Magnezone to allow for a complete study of its biochemical structures. Due to this new breakthrough of a type of analyzation, Alolan Magnezone has grown sluggish, capable of burst movement only at a high cost to its energy reserves, but has allowed it to form a durable and resistant vessel for its spiritual form.

Pokemon: Shellder
New typing: Poison / Electric
New abilities: Water Absorb / Poison Point / Bulletproof (HA)
New stats: 40 (+10) / 55 (-10) / 80 (-20) / 65 (+20)/ 45 (+20) / 20 (-20) (BST 305)
New/removed moves:
Added
Poison Sting, Poison Jab, Sludge Bomb, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Volt Switch, Sunny Day, Spark, Scald, Thunder Wave, ThunderShock
Removed
Aurora Beam, Ice Beam, Ice Shard, Icicle Spear, Avalanche, Icy Wind, Blizzard, Hail, Bubble Beam, Whirlpool, Aqua Ring
Flavor/Design: Due to the hot climate, Shellder have lost their Ice-typing and now live in the beaches. It more resembles a Hawaiian Cone Shell, bearing a bright yellow and white coloring. It's new typing is formed to protect it from being eaten by other fish Pokemon that live in the water, becoming venomous and fueling itself with neurotoxins. Eventually this lead to the species to be able to conduct electricity.

Pokemon: Cloyster
New typing: Poison / Electric
New abilities: Water Absorb / Poison Point / Bulletproof (HA)
New stats: 60 (+10) / 90 (-5) / 150 (-30) / 105 (+20)/ 70 (+25) / 50 (-20) (BST 525)

Removed
Aurora Beam, Ice Beam, Ice Shard, Icicle Spear, Avalanche, Icy Wind, Blizzard, Hail, Bubble Beam, Whirlpool, Frost Breath, Aqua Ring
Flavor/Design: Due to the hot climate, Cloyster have lost their Ice-typing and now live in the beaches.

Added: Mach Punch, Shell Smash, Superpower, Thunderpunch, Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Play Rough, Shadow Sneak, Karate Chop, Mega Punch, Arm Thrust, Poison Jab (13)

Pokemon: Kingler
New typing: Fighting/Normal
New abilities: Scrappy/Sharp Claws Limber(HA)
New stats: 55/145(+15)/115/20(-30)/55(+5)/85(+10)
New/removed moves: Removed: Surf, Bubble, Bubble Beam, Mud Shot, Brine, Rain Dance, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Agility, Dive, Ally Switch, Icy Wind, Water Pulse, Dig (14)
Added: Mach Punch, Cross Chop, Shell Smash, Superpower, Thunderpunch, Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Play Rough, Shadow Sneak, Karate Chop, Mega Punch, Arm Thrust, Poison Jab (14)
Flavor/Design: This poor variant of Kingler has been forced inland by invasive species several thousands of years ago. Becoming scrappy, their claws became sharper with a fist inside them, yet their lifestyle oddly enough, became simpler. Food was easier to find with the new fists within claws. Most of the new moves represent its new fighting spirit, although it tends to want to pop out of its shell far more often than before just to beat things up. Its newfound flexibility can be a hidden talent.

Pokemon: Porygon

New moves: Aqua Jet, Whirlpool, Water Gun, Bubble Beam, Surf, Scald, Water Pulse, Hydro Pump, Liquidation, Reflect (10)

Pokemon: Porygon2
New typing: Water
New abilities: Illuminate/Water Veil (Filter)
New stats: 90(+5)/110(+30)/95(+5)/105(+0)/90(-5)/25(-35) (515 BST)
New/removed moves:
New: Dive, Surf, Scald, Liquidation, Aqua Jet, Water Gun, Bubble Beam, Whirlpool, Aqua Tail, Reflect, Light Screen, Water Pulse, U-Turn, Bulk Up, Hydro Pump (15)
Removed: Thunder, Thunderbolt, Discharge, Magnet Rise, Gravity, Electroweb, Swift, Tackle, Zap Cannon, Foul Play, Double-Edge, Endure, Nightmare, Trick, Magic Coat(15)

Flavor: More duck-like. Designed for deep-sea exploration and research.
Competitive justification: Slow pivoting bulky water. Has 2 great abilities in Water Veil and Filter. Water Veil makes it one of the best Keldeo answers, while Filter is always a good ability for a slow pivot. Bulk Up lets this thing try to boost and sweep, as a physical bulky boosting water is something that hasn't been done yet. Of course, you can always use Scald if you don't want to boost.

Pokemon: Porygon-Z
New typing: Water
New abilities: Technician/Water Veil (Filter)
New stats: 90(+5)/135(SpA swap)/75(+5)/80(Atk swap)/60(-15)/95(+5) (535 BST)
New/removed moves:
New: Dive, Surf, Scald, Liquidation, Aqua Jet, Water Gun, Bubble Beam, Whirlpool, Aqua Tail, Reflect, Light Screen, Water Pulse, U-Turn, Bulk Up, Hydro Pump, (15)
Removed: Thunder, Thunderbolt, Discharge, Magnet Rise, Gravity, Electroweb, Swift, Tackle, Zap Cannon, Nasty Plot, Dark Pulse, Foul Play, Double-Edge, Endure, Nightmare (15)

Flavor: Modified by a third-party company to act as a surveillance drone that can operate both in and out of water.
Competitive justification: A physical counterpart for Keldeo. Fast physically offensive Waters are near nonexistent, making this an interesting experiment. Porygon-Z has a surprisingly good movepool for Technician, with Aerial Ace, the new Aqua Jet, and Thief. You can even go mixed and use Hidden Power Fire or Shock Wave to hit specific targets.

Pokemon: Dratini

Pokemon: Dragonite
New typing: Fire/Poison
New abilities: Intimidate [HA: Levitate]
New stats: 91/134/95/100/100/80 --> -5/-24/-15/+30/-16/+30 --> 86/110/80/130/84/110
New/removed moves:
Removed: Draco Meteor, Dragon Breath, Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Rage, Dragon Rush, Dragon Tail, Outrage, Twister, Aerial Ace, Air Cutter, Defog, Fly, Hurricane, Sky Drop, Tailwind, Wing Attack [-17]
New: Blaze Kick, Overheat, Fire Blast, WoW, Ember, Fire Fang, Flare Blitz, Lava Plume, Sunny Day, Eruption, Flamethrower, Acid Armor, Sludge bomb, Sludge Wave, Poison Jab, Gunk Shot, Toxic [+17]

Flavor: It all began with a horde of dratinis which was shedding their skins in the alola region, but as their new skin began growing off, It got a lot of heat due to the large amount of heat gained from the sun and turned into red, which turned their skin rough and made some of them have the ability to control the heat of its body, making it either normal heat like it was before the "accident" or extra heat enough to make other feel a burn, except they actually did not like their new "self" and hoped it would disappear by evolution.. but it didn't, It actually grew a lot more and made them begin covering themselves with mud and some less effective acid, trying to cool themselves down and return to their normal self after time or evolution, but it began to cause them to have poisonous capabilities and turned their wings and antenna's into poisonous materials, some was able to levitate across the ground and some wasn't able to, covering themselves in more poison and mud to make them more intimdating, Generation after generation, they no longer had problems with their new shape and adapted to it, and now it is more common than normal dragonite in the alola region especially in volcanoes which dragonites now consider their home and therefor slowly began adapting into making volcanic eruptions and lava plumes.

Pokemon: Chinchou (Alolan)
New typing: Fairy/Steel
New abilities: Light Metal, Illuminate (Motor Drive)
New stats: 55(-20)/38/48(+10)/56/66(+10)/67 (330 Total)
New/removed moves:
Removed: Bubble, Water Gun, Bubble Beam, Aqua Ring, Hydro Pump, Charge, Discharge, Ion Deluge, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Hail, Rain Dance, Scald, Wild Charge, Surf, Waterfall, Dive, Brine, Water Pulse, Soak, Mist, Whirlpool, Icy Wind (-23)
Added: Fairy Wind, Baby-Doll Eyes, Disarming Voice, Misty Terrain, Moonblast, Flash Cannon, Gyro Ball, Iron Defense, Metal Shot, Mirror Shot, Iron Head, Metal Sound, Magnet Rise, Moonlight (+14)
Flavor/Design: In terms of design, it's grey-colored, with a metalic texture. The "lightbulbs" look more like lightbulbs. It's fins have turned into triangular "wings" similar to an airplane. Most people believe Chinchou would be a good predator, but the amount of competition and predators preying on them was too much, and they turned to the land. Initially, they had trouble with grass types, but they turned into Steel types and changed their electric energy into something more effective to them. They are most often seen during the night, where they help humans by lighting up paths.
Pokemon: Lanturn (Alolan)
New typing: Fairy/Steel
New abilities: Light Metal, Illuminate (Motor Drive)
New stats: 95(-30)/58/78(+20)/76/96(+20)/67(-10) (460 total)
New/removed moves:
Removed: Bubble, Water Gun, Bubble Beam, Aqua Ring, Hydro Pump, Charge, Discharge, Ion Deluge, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Hail, Rain Dance, Scald, Wild Charge, Surf, Waterfall, Dive, Brine, Water Pulse, Soak, Mist, Whirlpool, Icy Wind, Aqua Tail (-24)
Added: Fairy Wind, Baby-Doll Eyes, Disarming Voice, Misty Terrain, Moonblast, Flash Cannon, Gyro Ball, Iron Defense, Metal Shot, Mirror Shot, Iron Head, Metal Sound, Iron Tail, Magnet Rise, Moonlight (+15)
Flavor/Design: It's grey colored and metalic. The two lights on it's head antenna are more like street lights now. It's thiner, and has legs instead of fins. The eyes are black with yellow pupils. It is meaner then Chinchou, and uses it's lights to hunt prey. They are particularily viscious to grass types, as some form of revenge for giving them trouble previously. However, it is still helpful to humans occasionally, so it keeps it's Fairy type.

Pokemon: Yanma-A
New typing: Electric/Ice
New abilities: Compound Eyes, Levitate, Prankster
New stats: 65/45 (-20)/40 (-5)/100 (+25)/40(-5)/100 (+5)
New/removed moves:-
Removed: Aerial Ace, Air Cutter, Air Slash, Bug Bite, Bug Buzz, Silver Wind, String Shot, Wing Attack, Detect, Leech Life, Steel Wing, Reversal, Foresight (Total: 13)
Added: Blizzard, Thunder, Discharge, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Thundershock, Glare, Powder Snow, Frost Breath, Volt Switch, Power Gem, Earth Power, Quiver Dance (Total: 13)
Flavor/Design: Yanma-A's colour scheme switches to electric blue, and its wings are changed to seem almost like forcefields. Its large goggle-looking eyes are now a very pale grey, as are its legs. Its body is also rather different, forming the shape of a stereotypical lightning bolt. In the Alola region, they are revered as the protectors of children, and they are often seen to herd lost children safely down from their mountain homes. When they swarm they tend to head for city skylines, since they're the most full of light; the night sky is lit up by their bright blue glow, and the cities often hold street parties in the Yanma's honour.

Pokemon: Yanmega-A
New typing: Electric/Ice
New abilities: Frisk Levitate, Speed BoostPrankster, Tinted Lens Adaptability
New stats: 98 (+12)/46 (-30)/70 (-16)/116/70(+14)/115 (+20)
New/removed moves:
Removed: Aerial Ace, Air Cutter, Air Slash, Bug Bite, Bug Buzz, Silver Wind, String Shot, Struggle Bug, Wing Attack, Detect, Leech Life, Steel Wing, Reversal, Foresight (Total: 14)
Added: Blizzard, Thunder, Discharge, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Thundershock, Glare, Powder Snow, Frost Breath, Volt Switch, Power Gem, Earth Power, Aura Sphere, Quiver Dance (Total: 15)
Flavor/Design: While the normal Yanmega's form goes darker when it evolves, Yanmega-A grows brighter, its electric blue body glowing with power and its forcefield-wings holding it aloft with sparks dancing between them. Its eyes and the markings on its body are a pale silver rather than red, and those markings have adopted the shape of stylized lightning bolts. Its body is streamlined for flight and its prominent spikes are now swept back, rather like the dorsal fins of sharks. Yanmega-A are far more active than their prevolution, actively hunting down those who would harm children and corralling them. As such, they are a popular choice of partner for police officers, who trust their honourable nature and appreciate their battling prowess.

Pokemon: Murkrow
New typing: Fire/Flying
New abilities: Vital Spirit/Super Luck/Solar Power (Hidden Ability)
New stats: 80/80/42/80/42/81 (+20/-5/0/-5/0/-10)
New moves: Ember, Fire Spin, Flamethrower, Lava Plume, Flame Charge, Will-o-Wisp, Blaze Kick, Heat Wave, Morning Sun, Gust, Focus Energy, Cosmic Power, Defog (13)
Removed moves: Rain Dance, Astonish, Night Shade, Shadow Ball, Assurance, Feint Attack, Foul Play, Sucker Punch, Torment, Quash, Snatch, Flatter, Haze, Swagger, Thief, Embargo, Payback, Dream Eater (18)
Design: Gets a third leg (this is based on a three-legged crow) and the bluish black feathers becomes reddish black. The typical hat that Murkrow has becomes more of a ribbon.

Pokemon: Honchkrow
New typing: Fire/Dragon
New abilities: Vital Spirit/Super Luck/Drought (Hidden Ability)
New stats: 75/115/62/105/62/86 (-25/-10/+10/0/+10/+15)
New moves: Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Breath, Dragon Claw, Dragon Dance, Fiery Dance, Solar Beam, Overheat, Incinerate, Fire Blast, Inferno, Flare Blitz, Dazzling Gleam, Gravity, Healing Wish, Stored Power, Flash, Weather Ball, Nature Power (19 = 18 from new type + 1 removed)
Removed moves: Night Slash
Design: Same thing as Murkrow, with the added features of the white feathers becoming deep red, the red feathers becoming blue with orange hues.

Flavor: Murkrow, known as Yamikarasu in Japanese, gets a subspecies based on the Japanese Yatagarasu (reversed your name origin, gg Gamefreak). Yatagarasu is the three-legged sun crow, so Murkrow becomes a Fire/Flying type. Honchkrow becomes a Fire/Dragon type with emphasis on it being a creature sent by the sun god that is more powerful than the Chinese dragon or the phoenix in legends. The in-lore explanation for this is pretty simple, instead of remaining a nocturnal Pokemon, Murkrow becomes a diurnal Pokemon. Instead of being feared as a symbol of misfortune, it becomes a symbol of guidance. The "Big Boss Pokemon" becomes a boss for diurnal Pokemon and not some shady nocturnal gang. Following this diurnal theme, the first ability is the "diurnal" version of Insomnia which Murkrow gets, the second ability remains the same but for a "good" reason (this crow has luck because it is helped by the will of Heaven), and the third ability is based on it being a... well, sun-based Pokemon.
With that Region/Route lore idea in mind, this would probably be found in Hoenn, since it is by far the sunniest region so far and the closest we have to a sun god is Groudon. It could actually be an Alolan subspecies because Alola is tropical and sunny as well, but it is a Japanese legend and Hoenn is based on a part of Japan so...

Pokemon: Shuckle
New typing: Grass/Poison (original, right?)
New abilities: Sturdy/Harvest (Prankster)
New stats: 20/10/230/10/230/5
Removed moves: Ancient Power, Bulldoze, Dig, Earth Power, Earthquake, Infestation, Mud Slap, Rock Blast, Rock Polish, Rock Slide, Rock Throw, Rock Tomb, Sandstorm, Sand Tomb, Shell Smash, Smack Down, Stealth Rock, Sticky Web, Stone Edge, String Shot, Struggle Bug (-21)
New moves: Absorb, Acid Armor, Acid Spray, Aromatherapy, Belch, Bullet Seed, Giga Drain, Grass Knot, Gunk Shot, Leech Seed, Mega Drain, Milk Drink, Poison Jab, Poison Powder, Poison Sting, Seed Bomb, Sleep Powder, Sludge, Solar Beam, Stun Spore, Toxic Spikes (+21)
Flavor/Design: Alolan Shuckle, while still recognizable as Shuckle due to sharing the same yellow, worm-like body, varies from the more known form Shuckle in a variety of ways. While the common Shuckle is famous for it's rock-like shell, Alolan Shuckle uses a coconut shell! This coconut shell is actually responsible for most of the differences between Shuckle forms. For example, while normal Shuckle is famous for producing berry juice, Alolan Shuckle can produce coconut milk! And while both forms of Shuckle love berries, Alolan Shuckle takes it one step further. Alolan Shuckle often live in or around trees and helps to make it's own berries. However, Alolan Shuckle doesn't just make delicious berries and milk substitutes, it can also produce it's own poison, so people should be careful.

Pokemon: Swinub-A
New typing: Poison/Bug
New abilities: Oblivious Poison Point, Snow Cloak Fur Coat, Thick Fat Skill Link
New stats: 65 (+15)/50/65 (+25)/10 (-20)/40 (+10)/20 (-30)
New/removed moves:-
Removed Moves: Earth Power, Freeze-Dry, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Powder Snow, Mud Bomb, Mud Shot, Ice Shard, Icicle Crash, Fissure, Avalanche, Mud Sport, Mist (13)
Added Moves: Pin Missile, Coil, Poison Jab, Megahorn, Toxic Spikes (5)
Flavor/Design: Rather than... the bastard child of a hamster and a mid-Sixties carpet swatch, Alola's Swinub are based on the puss moth caterpillar, here reimagined as the larval stage of some demented hairy beetle effort (as we shall see later). I should mention that the only reason Fur Coat is selected for the ability is because the more appropriate Fluffy is not present. In Alola, Swinub are found in dense forests, snuffling around in the undergrowth for interesting fungi to nibble. Unfortunately, this has the effect of making them quite unbelievably poisonous, and the Rangers of Alola are obliged to put signs up warning people not to stroke them, especially young children. This is a regrettable state of affairs, as Alola Swinub are rather lonely creatures, only congregating at specific times but always eager for someone to train them; because of this, humans showing them affection can get swarmed by well-meaning, lonely, and extremely toxic Swinub.

Pokemon: Piloswine-A
New typing: Poison/Fighting
New abilities: Oblivious, Snow Cloak Fur Coat, Thick Fat Skill Link
New stats: 125 (+25)/100/95 (+15)/30 (-30)/80 (+20)/20 (-30)
New/removed moves:-
Removed Moves: Earth Power, Freeze-Dry, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Powder Snow, Mud Bomb, Mud Shot, Ice Shard, Icicle Crash, Fissure, Avalanche, Mud Sport, Mist, Blizzard (14)
Added Moves: Pin Missile, Coil, Poison Jab, Megahorn, Toxic Spikes, Sacred Sword, Low Kick, Gunk Shot (8)
Flavor/Design: Piloswine-A has gone from its puss-moth beginnings to a kind of furry beetle effort, its long, chitinous tusks now able to dig through the undergrowth for hidden seeds and nuts. They've also internalized their poison better, so their thick, quilted coats aren't as poisonous as those of their pre-evolution. Its six legs are rather stumpy, all things considered, but they're able to kick trees so hard that they can knock them over! If a Piloswine-A happens on a group of Swinub-A in the swarming season, they will find a fruit-bearing tree and boot it over for the little Swinub to nibble on the berries. Piloswine-A are often tamed by orchard farmers, who often journeyed from farm to farm with them in tow during harvest time to help kick the apples and suchlike down from the trees.

Pokemon: Mamoswine-A
New typing: Poison/Fighting
New abilities: Oblivious, Snow Cloak Fur Coat, Thick Fat Skill Link
New stats: 135 (+25)/115 (-15)/110 (+30)/40 (-30)/80 (+20)/50 (-30)
New/removed moves:-
Removed Moves: Earth Power, Freeze-Dry, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Powder Snow, Mud Bomb, Mud Shot, Ice Shard, Icicle Crash, Fissure, Avalanche, Mud Sport, Mist, Blizzard (14)
Added Moves: Pin Missile, Coil, Poison Jab, Megahorn, Toxic Spikes, Sacred Sword, Low Kick, Gunk Shot, Rock Blast, High Jump Kick, Horn Leech, Blaze Kick, Mega Kick(13)
Flavor/Design: And at last there is Mamoswine-A, our resident enormous stompy mammoth stag beetle thing. Rock Blast is there for coverage options, as is Horn Leech. Blaze Kick and Mega Kick are more lore-based moves that tie into the prior evolution's dex entries. Now, though, Mamoswine-A are known throughout Alola as protectors of the wild, slow and gentle beings who nevertheless live in harmony with the world around them. They mark their territory by finding old, dead trees and drumming on them with their back legs so fast it sounds like machine-gun fire. Those back legs have a lot of strength in them, but Mamoswine-A's now-enormous pincers can also snap through trees as easily as a human might break a twig. Mamoswine-A can and do wander around the region with humans in tow or on their backs, guiding swarms of nearby Swinub-A and Piloswine-A to new lands and fresh grazing. They store nuts and seeds in their huge, thick coats during winter, just so that the Swinub-A don't have to dig through icy soil to eat.

Pokemon: Delibird
New typing: Fire / Fighting
New abilities: Moxie / No Guard / Surge Surfer (Hidden)
New stats: 45 / 90 (Swap / +25) / 27 (-18) / 40 (Swap / -15) / 27 (-18) / 101 (+26)
New/removed moves:
  • Removed Moves (17): Drill Peck, Hail, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Rain Dance, Aurora Veil, Frost Breath, Aurora Beam, Bestow, Freeze-Dry, Ice Ball, Ice Punch, Ice Shard, Icy Wind, Bounce, Icy Wind, Avalanche
  • New Moves (17): Ember, Sunny Day, Solar Beam, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Flame Charge, Incinerate, Overheat, Blaze Kick, Inferno, Rolling Kick, Mach Punch, Close Combat, Rock Smash, Strength, Taunt, Extreme Speed
Design: Alolan Delibird is taller and bulkier than Johtonian Delibird, reaching 1.2m in height. Alola Delibird's sleek, scarlet plumage sprouts from a body that is physically perfect, with rippling muscles and a biologically impossible physique similar to that displayed by a sculpture of a Greek deity. Alolan Delibird's flippers have devolved into powerful, elongated arms that end in gauntlets of snowy feathers, from which protrude five short claws; while its feet emit a soft glow if the bottoms are exposed. Its tail has mostly changed into a structure similar to a turbojet engine, though the mouth of its sack, still existent and connected to the main tail, is held at Alolan Delibird's hip. In lieu of the Johtonian version's tufts and beard, the feathers that adorn Alolan Delibird's head resemble a racer's helmet that frames a pair of piercing, ice-blue eyes, which gleam with barely restrained power. Alolan Delibird's beak is quite small and unsuitable for combat.

Flavor: Descended from Delibird thought to have been lost during a delivery when a storm raged over Blush Mountain, Alolan Delibird metamorphosed into its regional forme through intense training and the belief that more speed would have allowed them to succeed at their tasks. Initially harassed by the area's Electric-type Pokemon, Alolan Delibird developed steel-crushing muscles and scorching flames to defend itself. Its ardent desire for speed has led to two major adaptations: Alolan Delibird's tail has changed into an organic engine that allows it to attain speeds that significantly exceed those reached by its Johtonian counterpart, and the bottoms of its toes now contain specialized organs that siphon electricity from the ground and use the energy to temporarily supercharge the previously mentioned evolution.

Alolan Delibird are dogged by the failure of their ancestors and, in an attempt at atonement, act as the bounty hunters of their species. Alolan Delibird relentlessly pursue any Johtonian Delibird that continuously displays a cavalier attitude toward its deliveries and deliver burning justice. Wild specimens appear audacious and overconfident, but Alolan Delibird are fiercely loyal and will push themselves to a dangerous condition if it allows Alola Delibird to avoid disgracing a trainer counting on it. They are rumored to be clairvoyant, but only with regards to the movements of their quarries.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, I was feeling whimsical, so I made a Pokedex entry.
Complete with classic Pokedex exaggerations. :p

Delibird, the Delivery Pokemon

Sun: When excited, flames of increasing temperature leak from its pores. If engaged in intense combat, Alolan Delibird throws explosive punches that exceed 5000 degrees C.

Moon: Guilt inherited from its ancestors places Alolan Delibird in an eternal quest for speed. It never slows down, prompting wise trainers to vacate its path upon sight.

Alolan Skarmory
New Typing
: Flying
New Abilities: Tough Claws / Rattled (Unburden)
New Stats: 65 / 110 / 110 / 40 / 40 / 100
Removed Moves: Autotomize , Iron Head , Flash Cannon, Spikes , Stealth Rock , Iron Defense , Metal Sound , Assurance, Guard Swap, (-8)
New Moves: Acrobatics, Knock Off , Play Rough, Superpower, U-Turn, Wild Charge , Shadow Claw , Crush Claw , Hone Claws (+9)
Flavor: In the Alola region Skarmory are much more aggressive, this has caused them to shed their rough steely exterior in order to gain more speed. Their powerful claws can crush steel making Skarmory from other regions easy pickings.

Other : Skarmory's role does a 180 and becomes an offensive power-house, it loses the ability to set hazards and the majority of its steel moves. In return it gets some much need coverage options that still make sense. Acrobatics as without the steel coat they would be much more agile, Play Rough because my rationale for adaptation is them competing aggressively with each other. Superpower because of the increased strength. U-Turn for a meta-joke because we like Meta jokes and Wild Charge because well it can charge wildly.

Alolan Miltank
New Type
: Ground
New Abilities: Thick Fat/Sand Rush (Sap Sipper)
New Base Stats: 95/80/110/35/100/70 (+5 Def/-5 SpA/+30 SpD/-30 SpE)
Removed Moves: Stomp, Bide, Round, Echoed Voice, Dizzy Punch (5)
New Moves: Earth Power, Dig, Mud Bomb, Mud Slap, Spikes (5)
Flavor: After Miltank were imported into the Alola Reigon, they were imported into farms with Mudsdale. In these farms, the Mudsdale would attack the Miltank constantly, so the Miltank adapted to defeat them by rolling in the mud. The mud gave them an extra coat of armor, so they could take Mudsdale's powerful kicks. While doing this, their genes changed, giving them the ability to produce chocolate milk instead of regular milk. This discovery increased chocolate milk sales immensely, so chocolate miltanks were bred throughout the reigon.

Pokemon: Raikou
New typing: Ghost
New abilities: Cursed Body / Infiltrator (Hidden)
New stats: 90 / 85 / 75 / 115 / 100 / 115 --- ---> 75/70/90/130/70/145
New/removed moves: Moves removed: Charge Beam, Discharge, Magnet Rise, Shock Wave, Spark, Thunder, Thunder Fang, Thunder Shock, Thunder Wave, Volt Switch, Wild Charge, Zap Cannon, Weather Ball, Extremespeed, Bulldoze (15)
Added Moves: Phantom Force, Ominous Wind, Night Shade, Hex, Confuse Ray, Shadow Sneak, Lick, Dark Pulse, Hypnosis, Dream Eater, Perish Song, Yawn (12)
Flavor/Design: Raikou is the guardian of humanity on the islands. It is said that Raikou watches over the dying and shepherds them into the next world. It is also a popular that the dead of Albatross become one with Raikou, watching over the residents of the islands forever. It is celebrated as a protector, rather than feared as a killer, as it is thought to protect from the suffering of death. Raikou is the color of the night, not black, but dark greyish. It is covered is a fur that looks like its thundercloud somewhat, and moves silently. It is capable of invisibility, so sightings are very rare.

Pokemon: Entei
New typing: Fairy
New abilities: Serene Grace/Illusion
New stats: 115/115/75/85/100/90 (0/0/-10/-5/+25/-10)
New moves: Play Rough, Fairy Wind, Disarming Voice, Dazzling Gleam, Moonblast, Misty Terrain, Moonlight, Charm, Wish, Light Screen, Zen Headbutt (11)
Removed moves: Ember, Fire Spin, Flamethrower, Fire Fang, Lava Plume, Fire Blast, Eruption, Flame Charge, Overheat, Incinerate, Heat Wave (11)
Flavor: Instead of taking refuge in the Burned Tower and roaming though Johto unleashing its sheer power, Entei settles in the Bell Tower, a place of high sanctity to the people of Johto, and roams around granting wishes and bringing happiness mystically, like its rainbow-colored bird master. Illusion is a reference to Movie 3 Entei, but it's also related to Entei appearing and disappearing very fast as it travels Johto, almost as if you're encountering an illusion and the real thing is in the opposite side of the region.
Design: It becomes sly, thinner, loses some fur and gets a wine and pink hue instead of brown and red hue. The spikes on its back become rainbow-colored.

Pokemon: Alola Whismur
New typing: Fairy
New abilities: Serene Grace / Pixilate (Hidden)
New stats: 74 (+10) / 61 (+10) / 23 / 41 (-10) / 23 / 18 (-10)
New/removed moves:
  • Removed Moves (9 total): Ice Beam, Blizzard, Icy Wind, Extrasensory, Fake Tears, Mud-Slap, Rollout, Solar Beam, Stomp
  • New Moves (8 total): Acid, Sludge Bomb, Play Nice, Play Rough, Payback, Belch, Misty Terrain, Gastro Acid
Flavor: Decades ago, Alola's Whismur were drawn from their cavernous homes by a sound that seemed to originate from some esoteric creature. The species were enraptured by this mystical siren, and their investigation lead to the discovery of groups of odd, colorful organisms that manipulated the delightful tone through the usage of a mysterious box. However, when the aliens left, the Whismur, unwilling to part from the sounds, followed them until they arrived at a strange area comprised of stone, metal, and wood, where they have dwelled ever since.

Alola Whismur can be found wherever there is music—though it prefers the pop and rock genres—and has adapted to its (occasionally) filthy environment by developing powerful immune and digestive systems. Alola Whismur can manipulate the dimensions of its vocal folds and larynx, which it uses in combination with specialized organs to produce a variety of sounds, some of which bear striking resemblances to synthesized or electronically corrected chords. It is attracted to songbirds and will collect and wear loose feathers to resemble them.
Design: Alola Whismur is bulkier and hardier from years of urban life. Its purple / yellow coloration has dulled to help it camouflage itself amongst urban developments, but, if one is familiar with the species, Alola Whismur can be easily spotted by the brightly-colored feathers that hang from the tips of its ears.

Pokemon: Alola Loudred
New typing: Fairy / Poison
New abilities: Poison Touch / Pixilate (Hidden)
New stats: 94 (+10) / 81 (+10) / 43 / 61 (-10) / 43 / 38 (-10)
New/removed moves:
  • Removed Moves (9 total): Ice Beam, Blizzard, Icy Wind, Extrasensory, Fake Tears, Mud-Slap, Rollout, Solar Beam, Stomp
  • New Moves (9 total): Acid, Sludge Bomb, Play Nice, Play Rough, Venoshock, Payback, Belch, Misty Terrain, Gastro Acid
Flavor: Alola Whismur who bide their time and absorb enough acoustic knowledge from their civilized homes eventually develop into the well-known Pokemon, Alola Loudred. These are boisterous creatures with a deep appreciation for music of all sorts, and coalesce into packs to spread their unique songs throughout their territories. Alola Loudred can be a bit picky about its audience, though, and it is not uncommon for the Pokemon to utilize its toxic sweat to paralyze problematic individuals to prevent interruptions to its performance.
Design: Alola Loudred is a tougher version of its parent species that has a greater stature, thicker limbs, and longer ears. The subdued palette of its pre-evolution has been replaced with a vivid black / pink palette for aposematic purposes. Alola Loudred has accumulated enough feathers to wear makeshift wristbands and ear ornaments.

Pokemon: Alola Exploud
New typing: Fairy / Poison
New abilities: Vital Spirit / Pixilate (Hidden)
New stats: 134 (+30) / 121 (+30) / 53 (-10) / 61 (-30) / 63 (-10) / 58 (-10)
New/removed moves:
  • Removed Moves (13 total): Ice Beam, Blizzard, Ice Fang, Icy Wind, Extrasensory, Fake Tears, Avalanche, Mud-Slap, Rollout, Surf, Whirlpool, Solar Beam, Stomp
  • New Moves (11 total): Acid, Sludge Bomb, Poison Fang, Play Nice, Play Rough, Venoshock, Payback, Gunk Shot, Belch, Misty Terrain, Gastro Acid
Flavor: Alola Exploud is very popular with musicians due to its ability to run the gamut in the style of every musical instrument, rendering it a valuable asset. Contrary to its fearsome appearance, Alola Exploud is gregarious and loves children, but watchful parents ostracize it with accusations of it "poisoning the minds of the youth." When provoked, though, Alola Exploud secretes a poisonous film inside of its valves and fires it at the instigator alongside a blast of sound waves.
Design: Alola Exploud is significantly larger than its foreign counterparts, with a stature of 1.85m while hunching over, a longer tail, thicker limbs, and noticeably higher mass. It possesses bony ridges in place of teeth. Its vivid appearance remains, with additional pink coloration manifesting itself on armored scales present on its shins, knees, forearms, elbows, and torso. Feathers decorate its shoulders and its cephalic and caudal tubes.

Alolan Cacnea
New Typing: Grass/Water
New Abilities: Speed Boost/ Rattled (HA)
New stats: 50/85/40/85/40/35->40(-10)/65(-20)/40/65(-20)/60(+20)/65(+30)
New moves:
+Icicle Spear (Because spikes), Shadow Sneak, Surf, Water Shuriken, Waterfall, Ice Punch, Ice Beam, Camouflage, Scald, Water Gun (+10).

Alolan Cacturne
New Typing: Grass/Water
New Abilities: Skill Link/ Analytic(HA)
New stats: 70/115/70/115/70/55-> 100(+30)/85(-30)/90(+20)/100(-15)/95(+25)/25(-30)
New moves:
+Icicle Spear, Shadow Sneak, Surf, Water Shuriken, Waterfall, Ice Punch, Ice Beam, Camouflage, Scald, Water Gun (+10).

Flavor/Design: Cacnea is based on a ninja, but not your average ninja more like this depiction of a ninja:

So it is still short and stubby but he can still do some sneaking. Alolan Canea are also comicly frightfull and get startled very easily, but don't let that fool you, they are ninja none the less! Its crown disapears and instead they get a sort of dark flower that covers its face, its arms are really stretchy and its coloring is darker with some yellow details on the spikes.

Alolan Cacturne are slightly different, they aren't ninja, they are more shoguns leading Cacturne ninjas (I know Ninjas and Samurai are different). Its hat becomes a helmet and it is constantly sitting with its legs crossed and its eyes closed relaxing strategising for a next battle. The colour scheme continious from Cacnea but its helmet is a dark shade of red instead. A few small flowers can be seen blooming on its skin and even its hat!

Edit: I just remembered! I forgot the explaination of the Water typing and how it developed into a ninja. In Alola there seems to be a Japanese-inspired area (if you look at the map), since the Cacnea there didn't find any desert that suited their preferences they decided to raid villages in anger, however they were not treated as a threat and in fact the villagers really enjoyed their presence and utility in blending in to the enviroment and stealing enemy secrets.

Their water typing comes from cacti's natural water absorbing capabilities (see: why their regular Hidden Ability is Water Absorb). This ability was taken to its limit when they had to spend a lot of days camouflaged in rainy battledfields, absorbing a lot of water.

Competitively, Cacnea-A is a fast attacker that can be either physical or special, it can certainly be threatning with Speed Boost, a solid defensive typing and good stab options plus boosting moves. However it has a serious problem with priority and while it waits to have it speed raised.

Cacturne-A reverses that role by having it be a slow attacker. It has a dreadful STAB Skill Link Water Shuriken but it comes down from its weaker attacking stat, altough it can mitigate that with Swords Dance. It can also be really annoying with a Nasty Plot set with Scald and Analytic.

Pokemon: Zangoose

New typing: Steel
New abilities: Vital Spirit / Hyper Cutter
New stats: 73 / 117 / 64 / 50 / 58 / 96 (Total 458)
New Moves : Iron Head , Iron Defense , Bullet Punch , Sucker Punch , Flash Cannon , Snarl (6)
Removed Moves : Icy Wind , Blizzard , Shock Wave , Solarbeam , Waterpulse , Giga Drain (6)

The Zangoose in the Alola region adapted to better fend off venomous snake Pokémon like Seviper. Becoming a Steel-type Zangoose's immunity becomes full proof and it becomes more viscous and powerful than before.

It loses most of it's special coverage options here but in return gains some decent steel stab, priority replacement with Bullet Punch and Sucker Punch and some special moves replaced with Flash Cannon and Snarl. It didn't feel right taking away normal moves like Body Slam or Crush Claw.

Vital Spirit and Hyper Cutter are kind of lackluster abilities over all but they are fitting. Zangoose gets another immunity to status and it's spirits are of course high now that it can safely take out those Seviper while Hyper Cutter prevents it being intimidated into backing down.

Pokemon: Seviper
New typing: Water
New abilities: Shed Skin -> Swift Swim (Infiltrator) -> (Intimidate)
New stats: 67/115/60/70/55/91 (-6 Hp/+15 Atk/0 Def/-30 Spa/-5 Spd/+26 Spe)
New moves: Aqua Jet, Surf, Whirlpool, Dive, Water Pulse, Aqua Ring, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Ice Fang, Cut (+10)
Removed moves: Poison Tail, Venoshock, Venom Drench, Belch, Poison Jab, Sunny Day, Sludge Wave, Sludge Bomb, Flamethrower, Dig, Gastro Acid, Earthquake (-12)
Flavor: When Seviper was brought to the Alola region, they were unable to find food on the islands, so they went into the sea to catch the abundance of fish. While living in the ocean, Seviper lost its poison and gained water typing. With the loss of its poison Seviper used its fangs and tail to hunt down other Pokemon. Alolan Seviper relies on its blistering speed and savage power to overwhelm its foes, as it is incapable of taking many hits itself.
Design: Alolan Seviper has vertical black and white stripes the length of its body similar to an actual sea snake, as well as blue accent marks on its face and tail.

Pokemon: Alolan Tropius
New Typing: Dragon/Fairy
New Abilities: Multiscale/Cheek Pouch (Harvest)
New Stats: 109/58/90/92/90/22 (+10 HP, -10 Atk, +7 Def, +20 SpA, +3 SpD, -30 Spe)
Removed Moves: Aerial Ace, Air Cutter, Air Slash, Defog, Fly, Gust, Roost, Tailwind, Grass Knot, Leaf Blade, Leaf Storm, Leaf Tornado, Razor Leaf, Solar Beam, Synthesis (-15 Total)
New Moves: Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, Fairy Wind, Charm, Moonlight, Disarming Voice, Dragon Rage, Dragon Breath, Dragon Claw, Dragon Rush, Draco Meteor, Dragon Tail, Flamethrower, Fire Blast (+15 Total)
Flavor: Due to the people of Hoenn over herding (I guess, could be worded differently) Tropius for it's delicious fruit, they decided to flee to the Alolan Region for saftey. Due to the overbearing presence of the sun, some of it's skin on it's neck shed faster, causing it's skin to become something similar to a Rainbow Eucalyptus (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eucalyptus_deglupta). It's rainbow complexion also gave it more fairy like appearance. With it's new calm nature (Pun not intended) it no longer needs it's wings to escape predators, they shrink to a smaller size. It's Alolan form still likes to feed children, but they don't like it's fruit, and the children bring it Petaya Berries, which the Tropius absolutely love. The Petaya berry's English counterpart, the Pitaya Berry (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pitaya), or otherwise known as the dragon fruit, is why Tropius gains its dragon type. And the fruit begins to grow on Tropius' neck.

Pokemon: Regirock
New typing: Grass
New abilities: Harvest (Regenerator)
New stats: 110(+30)/100/200/20(-30)/130(+30)/20(-30)
New/removed moves: Removed: Rock Throw, Stone Edge, Smack Down, Sandstorm, Rock Tomb, Rock Slide, Stealth Rocks (-7)
Added: Wood Hammer, Bullet Seed, Synthesis, Vine Whip, Leech Seed, Ingrain, Grassy Terrain (+7)
Flavor/Design: Regirock, now instead of resembling a lump of dry rocks, resembles petrified wood, with mossy vines around it. Its petrified logs is rumored to have been unearthed from different locations all over the globe. The only thing that lumps Alolan Regirock together is its thick moss, which is actually made up of many different types of mosses that absorb sunlight and produce energy and berries for Alolan Regirock. It's also as resistant to damage as ever, since the petrified wood is very resilient.

Pokemon: Regice
New typing: Fire
New abilities: Flame Body (Drought)
New stats: 110(+30)/20(-30)/130(+30)/100/200/20(-30)
New/removed moves: Removed: Avalanche, Blizzard, Frost Breath, Hail, Ice Beam, Ice Punch, Icy Wind (-7)
Added: Inferno, Overheat, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Will-O-Wisp, Recover, Sunny Day
Flavor/Design: Regice, now instead of resembling an ice crystal, resembles obsidian, with an almost blue glow. Its magma is rumored to be at a constant 34,000 degrees Celsius, and the only thing between Alolan Regice and the total destruction of the world is its impervious obsidian-like armor, which also absorbs most of the heat. It can also still burn as brightly as ever in temperatures down to absolute zero.

Pokémon: Registeel
New Typing: Water
New Abilities: Hydration (Drizzle)
New Stats: 80(+30)/75(-15)/150(+15)/75(-15)/150(+15)/50(-30)—>110/60/165/60/165/20
New/Removed Moves:
Removed: Metal Claw, Iron Head, Iron Defense, Sunny Day, Flash Cannon, Sandstorm, Rock Polish, Stealth Rock (-8)
Added: Surf, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Scald, Soak, Whirlpool, Water Pulse, Aqua Ring
Flavor/Design:
Registeel, now instead of resembling a ball of steel, resembles a pearl, with a crystalline sheen. Its pearl is rumored to be the result of seawater rusting away the outer casing and forming after being eaten by a Shellder. The only thing between Alolan Registeel and the thieves that would take its massive pearl is the Shellder, now fused to its body. The pearl is valued at over $10,000,000,000.

Flavor: Alolan Bidoof is an anomaly among Alolan Pokemon. Researchers have concluded that this Bidoof actually predates those from Sinnoh. Its long beak makes it look like a cross between the Psyduck line and the Bidoof line. Alolan Bidoof navigates through murky waters using their mental prowess to sense obstructions and food, often smashing head first into their prey. After evolving into Alolan Bibarel, it develops venom throughout its tail and flippers which aid it in hunting. The venom pains Alolan Bibarel, making it more aggressive and frail than its Sinnoh counterpart.

Pokemon: Bidoof
New typing: Psychic

New Moves: Volt Switch, Thunder Shock, Electro Ball, Discharge, Spark, Ember, Flamethrower, Heat Wave, Fire Blast, Solar Beam, Morning Sun, Flame Charge (12 Total)
Flavor/Design: The winds of Sinnoh has caused Drifloon and Drifblim to float out of the region and into Alolan region After seeing many natives, tourists, and especially children paragliding, the Drifloon and Drifblim, decide to use their ghostly power to shift their bodies to make them longer and larger, to make sure that they passed as a paraglider. They live at the top of mountains at popular paragliding spots. Once people started to glide using Drifloon and Drifblim, it was having so much fun that it forgot about it's ghostly kidnapping ways, and became well known because of their ability to make people have more fun while gliding by taking unexpected turns, speeding up and slowing down. While doing this, they adapted based on other paragliders, and changed their color to be more similar to other paragliders. They are now a combination of yellow (Electric Typing), red, and light blue. Due to increased exposure to the sun, they now become a fire type, and they gain chlorophyllic cells, allowing them to glide faster in sunlight. And if it rains, they will absorb any lightning bolts that strike them, leaving it and the rider totally unharmed.

Pokemon: Alolan Drifblim
New typing: Electric/Fire

Pokemon: Chingling
New typing: Normal
New abilities: Levitate
New stats: 60/30/50/65/50/30 (+15/+0/+0/+0/+0/-15)
New/removed moves: + Iron Defense, Metal Burst, Metal Sound, Mirror Shot, Screech(+5)
- Psychic, Psyshock, Confusion, Dream Eater, Future Sight, Zen Headbutt(-6)

Pokemon: Chimecho
New typing: Normal / Steel
New abilities: Suction Cups
New stats: 100/40/80/95/90/50 (+25/-10/+0/+0/+0/-15)
New/removed moves: + Flash Cannon, Iron Defense, Metal Burst, Metal Sound, Mirror Shot, Screech, Gyro Ball, Autonomize, Perish Song, Grass Whistle, Iron Head(+11)
- Psychic, Psyshock, Confusion, Dream Eater, Future Sight, Zen Headbutt, Stored Power (-7)

Flavor: The Chimecho of other regions ride the air currents, chiming soft music as they pass from place to place. But the sound of bells was lost on the isolated Alolan islands. According to Alolan legend, a great storm tore through the islands, bringing with it all of the Pokemon it had swept into its vortex. The Chimecho managed to weather the storm by securing themselves to the ground with the suction cup on their heads. No longer able to ride the air currents, the winds repeatedly smashed the Chimecho against the ground and rocks. The constant impact has scrambled their brains, but has also made Chimecho-A far tougher while the high winds have made it far louder. Chinglings lack suction cups, and so they are able to ride the air currents. As they are bashed into things by the heavy winds, they grow tougher until they are finally ready to evolve.

Design: I was thinking Chimeco-A would look kind of like this, but inverted so that the top of the bell is stuck to the ground.https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/11/RyoanJi-Kane.jpg As for Chingling, I was thinking basically the same as the standard version, except it has various cracks in it.

Gameplay: So I thought I'd add a section about some of the neat things gameplay wise this can do. This makes for a really nifty cleric and wish passer. The boost to HP really helps in this regard. Autonomize gives it a chance to act as a sweeper too. A Calm Mind set seems cool and Healing Wish would be great for an offensive set.

Pokemon: Alolan Skorupi
New typing: Electric/Fairy
New abilities: Intimidate/Static/Iron Barbs (H)
New stats: 40/60(+10)/90/30/60(+5)/50(-15)
New/removed moves:

Removed: Toxic Spikes, Cross Poison, Fell Stinger, Infestation, Payback, Venoshock, Swagger, Whirlwind, Acupressure, Scary Face, Screech (11)

Added: Thunder Wave, Baby-Doll Eyes, Camouflage, Mirror Move, Sharpen, Draining Kiss, Sweet Kiss, Spark, Metal Claw, Slack Off, Bulk Up (11)

Flavor/Design: A light pink Skorupi with tiny wings on its back, no fangs, sharper claws and small holes all over its tail. It has evolved to be a herbivore in Alola that mainly survives by drinking coconut milk. It uses its sharp claws to cut coconuts in half, and then bends down to drink it. It has evolved claws designed to cut through leaves and coconuts, and its fangs have become small incisors to aid in chewing the occasional leaf. The holes in its tail can launch spikes full of electric pulses that make anything they touch briefly immobilised, helping it to get away from predators. It likes pretending it's a pink flower while it hides in tall grass, which also has the evolutionary benefit of avoiding any predators in said grass. They can make their electric stingers stick out of their tail holes to intimidate foes. They are quick to learn and are generally friendly. These Pokemon mostly tend to live in flower fields, but can be found in other rural areas.

Pokemon: Alolan Drapion
New typing: Electric/Dragon
New abilities: Intimidate/Sheer Force/Technician (H)
New stats: 70/110(+20)/110/60/80(+10)/65 (-30)
New/removed moves:

Removed: Toxic Spikes, Cross Poison, Fell Stinger, Infestation, Payback, Venoshock, Swagger, Whirlwind, Acupressure, Scary Face, Screech, Ice Fang, Thunder Fang, Fire Fang (14)

Added: Thunder Wave, Baby-Doll Eyes, Camouflage, Mirror Move, Sharpen, Draining Kiss, Sweet Kiss, Spark, Metal Claw, Slack Off, Bulk Up, Discharge, Spark, Wild Charge (14)

Flavor/Design: Unlike the Alolan Skorupi, who is limited to producing small amounts of electricity in its tail and filling its stingers with it, Alolan Drapion is an electrical powerhouse. It has a heavy organ in its torso which scientists have named a "generator liver", a large energy converter that fills up with the food Drapion eats and transfers the energy from the food's chemical store into kinetic energy through rapid shaking, which it then converts into electricity through a mysterious process scientists call " electrification". It then opens up holes in its generator liver and skin and coats its sticky body with this electricity. It can then launch this electricity outwards or use it in its next attack.

Like its pre-evolution, it is primarily pink, although Alolan Drapion has blue tiger-like markings around its body. They are thought to have evolved these markings to look more intimidating and dragon-like. It is said that when Alolan Drapion gets angry, these spikes glow as electricity emanates from them, creating a sound similar to a Mega Charizard Y's cry.

They don't like flowers and are polar opposites of Alolan Skorupi. They tend to stay in warm caves, and are social with other dragon types, often living with Druddigon and Drampa. They hate humans entering their caves.

Pokemon: Mantine
New typing: Ground/Ghost
New abilities: Sand Rush/Dry Skin (Arena Trap)
New stats: 50/25/100/80/140/70 (465)
Removed moves: Aqua Ring, Brine, Bubble, Bubble Beam, Hydro Pump, Surf, Scald, Water Pulse, Water Sport, Waterfall, Whirlpool, Ice Beam, Haze, Blizzard, Hail, Acrobatics, Aerial Ace, Air Cutter, Air Slash, Bounce (-20)
New moves: Dig, Earth Power, Mud Bomb, Mud Shot, Sand Attack, Sand Tomb, Steel Wing, Stealth Rock, Sandstorm, Pain Split, Spite, Shadow Sneak, Shadow Ball, Phantom Force, Ominous Wind, Night Shade, Hex, Destiny Bond, Curse, Astonish (+20)

Flavor/Design: The Alolan Mantine line developed after Mantykes and Mantines continually ended up beached. Alolan Mantykes and Mantine move through sand as if it were water, and because of their semi-ethereal nature can even move through rocks if need be. The Alolan Mantine line originally only lived at beaches, but now can be found in deserts as well. The Alolan Mantine line is noticeably flatter than the original sandy brown in color, blending in almost perfectly with the sand around it when it "swims"/"glides" near the surface.

Pokemon: Ducklett
New Typing: Water/Ground
New Abilities: Mold Breaker / Hydration (Rain Dish)
New Stats: 72 (+10)/40(-4)/53(+3)/50(+6)/60(+10)/30(-25)
New / Removed Moves: Aerial Ace, Air Cutter, Air Slash, Defog, Feather Dance, Fly, Gust, Hurricane, Mirror Move, Pluck, Roost, Tailwind, Wing Attack (-13)

Mud Shot, Mud Bomb, Mud Slap, Magnitude, Earthquake, Slack Off, Rock Slide, Aqua Jet, Hydro Pump, Earth Power, Stealth Rock, Waterfall(+12)
Flavour: When Ducklett and Swanna migrated to the Alolan region, the abundance of Electric types led it to abandon the flying typing and its attributes. It started roaming in swamps amd mudholes to gain a protective layer of mud to weaken electric type attacks. Over time its physiology adapted and it became part ground. Ducklett worships rainfall, as it provides it with plenty of water to form muddy puddles. The design for Ducklett generally remains the same, however the light blue downy feathers became replaced with think water repellant navy blue feathers, as it spends almost all of its time in or below water. The dark blue feathers that form a heart on its chest are now completely caked in mud that mixed with the feathers natural waterproof oils to make a permanent unwashable mudstain.

Pokemon: Swanna
New Typing: Water/Ground
New Abilities: Mold Breaker / Hydration (Drizzle)
New Stats: 105 (+30) / 64 (-23) / 67 (+4) / 93 (+6) / 76 (+13) / 68 (-30)
New / Removed Moves: Aerial Ace, Air Cutter, Air Slash, Defog, Feather Dance, Fly, Gust, Hurricane, Mirror Move, Pluck, Roost, Sky Attack, Tailwind, Wing Attack (-14)

Mud Shot, Mud Bomb, Mud Slap, Magnitude, Earthquake, Slack Off, Rock Slide, Aqua Jet, Hydro Pump, Earth Power, Stealth Rock, Waterfall, Stone Edge, Fissure, (+14)
Flavour: Alolan Swanna love the mud and rain so much, they harnessed the power to summon rain whenever they choose to. Swanna has gotten skilled enough with earth and mud to the point of it being able to create massive and destructive shockwaves in the earth with enough tectonic force to crumble buildings to the ground. Alolan Swanna are stouter with shorter necks and smaller flipper-like wings which helps it glide through the water. Its white flight feathers are replaced with hardy Navy blue water resistant feathers. The tips of its wings, its chest and its headcrest are all covered in mud similar to that found on the chest of Ducklett, but more oily.

Pokemon: Cottonee
New typing:Grass/Rock
New abilities: Prankster|Regenerator (Magic Guard)
New stats: 70 (+30)|17 (-10)|60|37|60 (+10)|33 (-30)
New/removed moves:
Removed: Cotton Guard, Cotton Spore, Charm, Fairy Wind, Dazzling Gleam, Dream Eater (6)

New: Stealth Rock, Power Gem, Ancient Power, Shell Smash, Rollout, Earth Power (6)

Flavor/Design: Instead of cotton, the Cottonee from Alola have a coconut shell as their form of protection. It's body has a rocky structure while the top and bottom of what used to be cotton are two halves of a whole coconut. It's leafs resemble that of a coconut tree's. Alolan Cottonee usually hang out on top of trees, as they love the sun. Once Alolan Cottonee is given a Sun Stone, it will evolve into Alolan Whimsicott.

Pokemon: Whimsicott
New typing:Grass/Rock
New abilities: Prankster|Regenerator (Magic Guard)
New stats: 90 (+30)|37 (-30)|95 (+10)|77|95 (+20)|86 (-30)

New: Stealth Rock, Power Gem, Ancient Power, Shell Smash, Rollout, Synthesis, Clamp, Batton Pass, Earth Power (9)

Flavor/Design: Much like its Pre-Evolution, Alolan Whimsicott has a coconut as form of protection. Although, now the coconut is more like a shell it can close whenever it wants, even if it looks like it's only half of a coconut on its back. It's horns have two small holes capable of creating Coconut Juice from the left one and offer Coconut Water from the right one. The horns are now less curly in order to do so. Whimsicott's body seems like it's a rocky structure, much like Cottonee's. Alolan Whimsicott are gentle to people around them and normally hang around in beaches.

Added: Autotomize, Flash Cannon, Gyro Ball, Iron Defense, Metal Sound, Iron Head, Mirror Shot, Bug Buzz, Infestation, Leech Life, Signal Beam, Silver Wing, String Shot, Struggle Bug (+14).
Flavor/Design: It is now an olive color. It's head is a lot less tall and doesn't haves black markings; instead, it has three antenna. It is also now piloting a small honeycomb-like UFO with a laser cannon under it. These Elgyems came from another "Colony" then the one that went in Unova and thus adapted to Alola instead. They are usually seen floating above towns and mountains, although they avoid volcanoes because of how vulnerable they are to fire.
Pokemon: Beheeyem (Alolan)
New typing: Bug/Steel
New abilities: Honey Gather, Levitate (Heatproof)
New stats: 75/55(-20)/100(+25)/105(-20)/100(+5)/50(+10) (485 total)

Added: Autotomize, Flash Cannon, Gyro Ball, Iron Defense, Metal Sound, Iron Head, Mirror Shot, Bug Buzz, Infestation, Leech Life, Signal Beam, Silver Wing, String Shot, Struggle Bug (+14).
Flavor/Design: Unlike Elgyem who was olive, Beheeyem is a golden yellow similar to a bee's. Like Elgyem, it's head is much less tall and instead has three antenna on it. Instead of having "buttons" on it's torso, it has black stripes. It has a red marking on it's forehead; it seems to be trying (and failing) to pass for a Vespiquen. Just like Elgyem, they pilot an UFO, although this UFO is much bigger and more complex then Elgyem's. Alolan Beheeyem are considered scary by Alolan natives and the latters usually avoid encounters. Few of them are seen around the islands, but they're usually seen around certain stores. Some researchers found out all of these stores sold honey, and that Alolan Beheeyem are in fact attracted to honey!

Pokemon: Vullaby

Pokemon: Mandibuzz
New typing: Ice/Ground
New abilities: Thick Fat/Snow Cloak (Fluffy)
New stats: 110/65/120/55/110/50 (510)
Removed moves: Dark Pulse, Embargo, Feint Attack, Fake Tears, Nasty Plot, Payback, Punishment, Snarl, Snatch, Torment, Air Slash, Brave Bird, Gust, Mirror Move, Tailwind, Incinerate, Shadow Ball, Sunny Day, Sky Attack (-19)
New moves: Avalanche, Blizzard, Hail, Haze, Ice Beam, Ice Shard, Icicle Crash, Icicle Spear, Icy Wind, Mist, Powder Snow, Dig, Earthquake, Magnitude, Sand Attack, Spikes, Sandstorm, Stealth Rock, Sheer Cold (+19)

Flavor/Design: Many Pokemon tried to adapt to Alola's colder region. However, only a few Pokemon, like Sandshew and Vulpix, were able to adapt successfully while the rest failed. These other Pokemon that failed to adapt played a big part in the Vullaby line's Alola forms! Being vultures the Vullaby line were drawn to Alola's colder region where many Pokemon could not weather the cold for food. Eventually, a significant amount of Vullaby and Mandibuzz resided there permanently. The most noticeable difference between the Alolan Vullaby line and the main Vullaby line is that they appear to have white feathers instead of black/brown. In reality, they are just covered in snow and frost. However, the Alolan Vullaby line do boast thicker coats then the main Vullaby line to keep them warmer. While their thicker coat does not prevent them from flying per se, the extra weight alongside the colder air makes it harder to do so, to the point where they'd rather be grounded. However, they do fly to get to high places or to move in a hurry when need be.

Pokemon: Larvesta
New typing: Fairy/Dark
New abilities: Wonder Skin (Illusion)
New stats: 55/55(-30)/65(+10)/70(+20)/65(+10)/50(-10)
New/removed moves:
Removed: Flare Blitz, Will-o-Wisp, U-turn, Bug Buzz, Ember, String Shot, Leech Life, Flame Charge, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Overheat, Incinerate, Struggle Bug, Morning Sun, Signal Beam, Heat Wave (-16)
Added: Moonlight, Cosmic Power, Fairy Wind, Misty Terrain, Fake Tears, Memento, Taunt, Torment, Draining Kiss, Healing Wish, Magic Coat, Fake Out, Wish, Stored Power, Power Trick, Future Sight (+16)
Flavor/Design: The points sticking out on it are now one giant, pale blue crescent. Its eyes are now bright white, as if it is blind, and the white fluff is now a dark gray. The brown on its body is now dark purple, with a light shimmer to it. These Larvesta adapted to become more active in the night, and feed off the moonlight for energy. They use a veil of stardust to shield themselves from enemies, and tend to live near areas with anything of extraterrestrial origin, such as a crater from a meteoric impact. They often use an as-of-yet unexplained cosmic force to create disguises to protect them from any would-be predators.

Pokemon: Volcarona
New typing: Fairy/Dark
New abilities: Wonder Skin (Tinted Lens)
New stats: 105(+20)/60/95(+30)/110(-25)/105/75(-25)
New/removed moves:
Removed: Flare Blitz, Will-o-Wisp, U-turn, Bug Buzz, Ember, String Shot, Leech Life, Flame Charge, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Overheat, Incinerate, Struggle Bug, Morning Sun, Signal Beam, Heat Wave, Silver Wind, Fiery Dance, Rage Powder, Sunny Day, Overheat (-21)
Added: Moonlight, Cosmic Power, Fairy Wind, Misty Terrain, Fake Tears, Memento, Taunt, Torment, Draining Kiss, Healing Wish, Magic Coat, Fake Out, Wish, Stored Power, Power Trick, Future Sight, Moonblast, Dark Pulse, Snarl, Night Shade, Destiny Bond (+21)
Flavor/Design: Whereas regular Volcarona is thought to be an embodiment of the sun, Alolan Volcarona is thought to be an embodiment of the moon. Its wings emit a soft white glow, reminiscent of moonlight. Its main body is pitch black, like the night of a new moon without stars. Its eyes are white, like its pre-evolution's. Its antenna things are now white, long, and relatively floppy, paralleling the moon rabbit of Chinese folklore to some degree. Unlike its pre-evolution, it no longer needs to use illusions to disguise itself, and unleashes its lunar wrath on anything that tries to go after it.

Pokemon: Litwick
New typing: Fire/Ice
New abilities: Ice Body/Snow Cloak (Refrigerate)
New stats: 50/60(+30)/55/35(-30)/55/20
New/removed moves: Removed: Astonish, Confuse Ray, Shadow Ball, Memento, Energy Ball, Night Shade, Spite, Minimize, Clear Smog (-8)
Added: Aurora Beam, Echoed Voice, Hail, Mist, Icy Wind, Ice Shard, Ice Beam, Sheer Cold, Hyper Voice(+8)
Flavor/Design: Alolan Litwick is primarily seen around Mount Lanakila, providing warmth to frostbitten hikers. However, it is not as benevolent as it seems. It drains their souls away as they are warmed for the sake of power. They now look like icicles that vaguely resemble candles, with their flames glowing an absurdly bright and haunting blue.

Pokemon: Lampent
New typing: Fire/Ice
New abilities: Ice Body/Snow Cloak (Refrigerate)
New stats: 60/70(+30)/60/65(-30)/60/55
New/removed moves:
Removed: Astonish, Confuse Ray, Shadow Ball, Memento, Energy Ball, Night Shade, Spite, Minimize, Dark Pulse, Dream Eater, Thief, Clear Smog (-11)
Added: Aurora Beam, Echoed Voice, Hail, Mist, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Ice Shard, Hyper Voice, Icicle Crash, Blizzard, Sheer Cold (+11)
Flavor/Design: Alolan Lampent is usually seen around Froslass and Glalie, draining the souls of the frozen. It uses these to empower its icy curses, letting it freeze and drain the souls out of any would-be predators. It resembles an icy prism with an ominous blue flame eternally burning inside, without melting it. Its arms are now consisted of several ice crystals of various sizes, making it somewhat resemble a crystal chandelier.

Pokemon: Chandelure
New typing: Fire/Ice
New abilities: Ice Body/Flash Fire (Refrigerate)
New stats: 60/85(+30)/60(-30)/115(-30)/90/110(+30)
New/removed moves:
Removed: Astonish, Confuse Ray, Shadow Ball, Memento, Energy Ball, Night Shade, Spite, Minimize, Dark Pulse, Dream Eater, Thief, Clear Smog (-11)
Added: Aurora Beam, Echoed Voice, Hail, Mist, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Ice Shard, Hyper Voice, Icicle Crash, Blizzard, Sheer Cold (+11)
Flavor/Design: Alolan Chandelure can freeze absolutely anything around it, and drains souls from those who are frozen. It then shatters them immediately afterwards, assuring there is no way they can be brought back from death. Its mere presence freezes everything within several feet of it. It now resembles a crystal chandelier, with threads of ice connecting various crystals with ominous blue flames in them, with the large crystal in the middle having a large blue flame emanating from it.

- Icicle Crash, Ice Shard, Avalanche, Powder Snow, Hail, Icy Wind, Frost Breath, Sheer Cold
Flavor / Design: Upon moving to the alola region, Cubchoo suffered from the heat, eventually becoming forced to move in the water to keep it's temperature cool. However, by moving into the water it became a prime prey for many different creatures. To defend itself, it took many of the rocks it found at the bottom of the ocean and attached it to it body. However, the loose nature of these rocks means that they can fall of quite easily

- Icicle Crash, Ice Shard, Avalanche, Powder Snow, Hail, Icy Wind, Frost Breath, Sheer Cold
Flavor / Design: Upon evolution, the rocks Beartic attached to itself melded with it's body, forming a large defensive coating. Because of this, it wasn't affected as much by the heat of Alola and was able to come out of the water. It's sudden growth allowed it defend itself much better, causing quite the overconfidence. This led to Beartic becoming much more aggressive, attacking almost anyone in sight.

Flavor/Design: The Alola Cryogonal is the result of an unfortunate incident where a group of Cryogonals turned into steam due to the heat of Alola, which is usual for them, except they fused with air pollution, which caused their body to completely change structure. Few of the original steam is left in them; they can expel it with a nice Scald attack. Their body is now a metallic grey, with a tint of purple in it. Their edges now look more like blades or daggers, and at the tip of them is a purple fluid. Their eyes still glow blue, but have a purple tint now. Their ice chains have turned into steel spheres.

Alolan Clauncher
New Typing: Fighting/Fairy
New Ability: Tough Claws
New stats: 50/53/62/58/63/44->
50/63/43/58/42/74
New/Removed moves:
- Muddy Water, Smack Down, Surf, Aqua Jet, Vicegrip, Cut, Scald, Icy Wind, Ice Beam (-9).
+Play Rough, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, Mega Punch, Comet Punch, Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Mach Punch, Close Combat, Bulk Up, Meteor Mash, Bullet Punch, Lock On, Aura Sphere, Dynamic Punch, Focus Blast (+19).

Alolan Clawitzer
New Typing: Fighting/Fairy
Ability: Mega Launcher
New stats: 71/73/88/120/89/59-> 80/85/65/110/75/85
New/Removed moves:
- Muddy Water, Smack Down, Surf, Aqua Jet, Vicegrip, Cut, Scald, Icy Wind, Ice Beam (-9).
+Play Rough, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, Mega Punch, Comet Punch, Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Mach Punch, Close Combat, Bulk Up, Meteor Mash, Bullet Punch, Lock On, Dynamic Punch, Vaccum Wave, Taunt (+19).

Flavor/Design: Alolan Clauncher and Clawitzer are based on the Peacock Mantis Shrimp. With its multitude of raving colours it can certainly pass as a Fairy-type (Its not the strongest argument but whatever). If you know your Shrimp lore, you will know that:
  1. They have ultra developed eyes (Lock On), capable of seeing radiation we humans can’t.
  2. They have super fast, super strong punches! They are know for, while in captivity in glass aquarians, to just break the glass with their mighty bullet punches!
Design wise their eyes pop out and their coloring isn’t stable, rapidly changing colours and giving of some light in the process. Their claws are now closer to short scythe with spikes on the outside. They’re know for being the life of the party but can get violent if carried away.

Alolan Clawitzer differs slightly from regular Clawitzer because its claw-cannon blasts are not as strong however it can rival other fighters because, while its punching is still not as powerful as something like Machamp, it punches so fast that it can create vaccum bullets from the air that it punches giving it an edge over other notable punchers (Vacuum Wave).

I still need to implement last slate's results into the archive, but I thought I'd make an announcement for those of you who didn't notice.

Boyeraj17 has left Smogon, P2X7 will be replacing him on the council.

Also, the submission limit is now two. You're free to post.

Flavor/Design: Based on Indotyphlops braminus, which are one of the few species of snakes in hawaii. Alolan Serperior has underwent a divergent evolution long ago, adapting a life underground, safe from the local avians. While their eyesight devolves as a side effect, now they can stalk preys with their excellent sense of smell, and their control over the elements of earth and dirt has made them feared predators that can even take on Flying-types.

Removed moves: Water Gun, Razor Shell, Encore, Hydro Pump, Hail, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Scald, Dragon Tail, Air Slash, Copycat, Hydro Cannon, Water Pledge, Icy Wind (14)
Flavor/Design: Based off the fact that sea otters use rocks as tools regularly, and, uh, how they're fine after eating toxic shellfishes? (They just discard the organs where the toxins are concentrated at, but still.) Shedding the seashell armor, Alolan Samurott aren't quite as heavy as their Unovan counterpart; However, now they are much more of a hit-and-run type - utilizing the rocks scattered around riversides as weapons, they are capable ot creating effective weapons in short order, and even then the poison they have developed to counteract their seashell preys allows them to pin down foes without much trouble. Despite no longer being Water-types, they still prefer the presence of water, as their fur gets rigid when dried which makes it annoying for them when moving around.

just keeping the post up first, will fill in later.

Added: Water Gun, Hydro Pump, Brine, Aqua Ring, Hydro Cannon, Rain Dance, Scald, Soak, Surf, Whirlpool, Water Spout, Water Pledge, Ice Beam (+13)
Removed: Sunny Day, Earthquake, Bulldoze (-3)
Flavor/Design: Chikorita's line in Alola live in the sea unlike normal Chikorita. This is believed to have been the result of an abundance of birds like Spearow where they lived. They're now found in Kala'e Bay, where they make seaweed and coral grow. Using their sweet aroma, they lure in Pokémon like Shelder, Corsola and Luvdisk. They are now a blue-green color, except Bayleef who's cyan. Their leaves are now strands of seaweed that cover their head like hair, and they are praised as goddesses of the sea by the local inhabitants. The petals on Meganium are replaced by beautiful corals. Their legs are now more like fins, which has the side effect of making them less powerful physically. However Bayleef and Meganium are stronger magically due to the praise they get.

Flavor/Design: Thousands of years ago, Cyndaquil's line emigrated to Alola's icy mountains due to the ice type pokemon there being easy prey for them. But after a series of particularly cold years, even their fire typing couldn't protect them from the cold, and they adapted to the ice type as a result.

Pokemon: Tepig
New Typing: Fire/Flying
New Abilities: Contrary (Reckless)
New Stats: 45(-20)/63/35(-10)/45/45/75 (+30)
New/Removed Moves:
Removed: Rollout, Take Down, Defense Curl (-3)
New: Brave Bird, Fly, Sky Attack, Wing Attack (+4)
Flavor/Design: Tepig is now light brown, and has sprouted wings. It is almost always flying, leading to a common saying for something being impossible is "when the Tepigs stop flying". Its wings are bony and kind of bat-like, and it has a small set of horns. They were brought to Alola as livestock, but began to fly as a way to escape the slaughterhouse.
Competitive Analysis: Powerful physical nuke in LC with Reckless Brave Bird but a major weakness to Stealth Rock, which means it gets worn down very quickly, so it can't quite function as a sweeper. It also has a good for LC base 75 Speed stat.
Pokemon: Pignite
New Typing: Fire/Flying
New Abilities: Intimidate (Tough Claws)
New Stats: 70(-20)/93/45(-10)/90(+20)/35(-20)/85(+30)
New/Removed Moves: Removed: Rollout, Take Down, Defense Curl, Focus Punch, Low Kick, Low Sweep, Power-Up Punch, Rock Smash, Arm Thrust (-10)
New: Brave Bird, Fly, Sky Attack, Wing Attack, Aerial Ace, Air Slash, Air Cutter, Gust, Hurricane, Dragon Claw (+10)
Flavor/Design: Unlike Tepig, which flies somewhat agilely, Pignite flops around and barely manages to stay airborne most of the time. Its wings are barely too small to support its body
Competitive Analysis: Only here for uniformity's sake, not sure why you would use Pignite in competitive.
Pokemon: Emboar
New typing: Fire/Dragon
New abilities: Intimidate (Tough Claws)
New stats: 120(+20)/123/85(+20)/80(-20)/85(+20)/35(-30)
New/removed moves:
Removed: Rollout, Take Down, Defense Curl, Focus Punch, Low Kick, Low Sweep, Power-Up Punch, Rock Smash, Arm Thrust, Superpower, Assurance (-12)
New: Brave Bird, Fly, Sky Attack, Wing Attack, Aerial Ace, Air Slash, Air Cutter, Gust, Hurricane, Dragon Claw, Dragon Dance (+12)
Flavor/Design: Alolan Emboar rarely ever flies, and its huge wings are only really there as an evolutionary leftover and as a means of intimidation, and said wings are torn and dilapidated from combat. It also wields a trident, and its body is mostly blue.
Competitive Analysis: A slow, powerful physical powerhouse with pretty nice bulk and Tough Claws and 123 base Attack, plus good 120/85/85 mixed bulk. Also yes, I did seriously turn Emboar into a Ganon expy with wings.

Pokemon: Oshawott
New typing: Dark/Fighting
New abilities: Early Bird (Adaptability)
New stats: 55/73(swapped, +10)/25(-20)/55(swapped)/35(-10)/75(+30)
New/removed moves: Removed: Aqua Jet, Aqua Tail, Brine, Blizzard, Dive, Hydro Cannon, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Rain Dance, Razor Shell, Scald, Waterfall, Water Gun, Water Sport, Water Pledge, Water Pulse (-17)
Added: Bite, Crunch, Brutal Swing, Embargo, Fake Tears, Hone Claws, Knock Off, Arm Thrust, Drain Punch, Final Gambit, Fake Out (+11)
Flavor/Design: Oshawott no longer has a seashell, and it has a very angry facial expression constantly. It puts on a tough guy facade to seem like an intimidating threat, when it is in reality still considered very cute. Its body is now various shades of gray, and its eyes are light blue.
Competitive Analysis: Great STAB combination and Adaptability plus great Attack stat make this an all-around terror in LC
Pokemon: Dewott
New typing: Dark/Fighting
New abilities: Infiltrator (Adaptability)
New stats: 75/93(swapped,+10)/40(-20)/65(swapped, -10)/60/90(+30)

Added: Bite, Crunch, Brutal Swing, Embargo, Fake Tears, Hone Claws, Knock Off, Arm Thrust, Drain Punch, Final Gambit, Fake Out, Dynamic Punch, Force Palm, Focus Punch, Mach Punch (+15)
Flavor/Design: It no longer has its scalchops, but instead has claws growing out of its hands. They are very quick and stealthy, allowing them to serve as great spies, and have experience in underhanded combat tactics. Their bodies are now gray, and the dark blue is now black.
Competitive Analysis: Its stat spread and movepool make it surprisingly decent in PU with its typing and Adaptability
Pokemon: Samurott
New typing: Dark/Fighting
New abilities: Infiltrator (Adaptability)
New stats: 95/138(+30, swapped)/65(-20)/100(swapped)/60(-10)/100(+30)
New/removed moves:
Removed: Aqua Jet, Aqua Tail, Brine, Blizzard, Dive, Hydro Cannon, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Rain Dance, Razor Shell, Scald, Waterfall, Water Gun, Water Sport, Water Pledge, Water Pulse (-17)
Added: Bite, Crunch, Brutal Swing, Embargo, Fake Tears, Hone Claws, Knock Off, Arm Thrust, Drain Punch, Final Gambit, Fake Out, Dynamic Punch, Force Palm, Focus Punch, Mach Punch, Dark Pulse, Nasty Plot, Sacred Sword, Close Combat (+18)
Flavor/Design: Samurott is now bipedal, and has a longer and thinner whisker-mustache. It has discarded its armor in exchange for stealth and kimono-like fur. Its body is now all black, and it has a long claw growing out of its right hand. Alolan Samurott is said to be able to strike down several people in a single blow from its swordlike claw, and not even break a sweat.
Competitive Analysis: Great Attack and great and somewhat above average Speed make this a surprisingly decent sweeper in OU, but it won't be the best thing in the world.

Added: Teeter Dance, Petal Dance, Dragon Dance, Fiery Dance, Quiver Dance, Blaze Kick, Flare Blitz, Fire Lash, Flame Charge, Shell Trap, WoW, Lava Plume, Close Combat, Aura Sphere, Cross Chop, Drain Punch, Dynamic Punch, Flying Press, HJK, Sacred Sword, Vacuum Wave, Rock Slide, Thunder Punch, Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Poison Jab (26)

Flavor: Once moved to Alola, Samurotts had trouble with the heat due to it's shell heatning it's body. Thus, it lost most of it's shell, but still has some. It's horns are now natural rather then a shell. Due to the weight loss, Samurotts became more fragile and more agile. They can move at much faster speeds. They also became bipedal as time passed by, leading them to learn more Punching and Kicking moves. Enchanted with the dance moves of Marowaks and Kiawe, they mastered the fire dances as well, and the razors they had now burn at their tips.

Design: Oshawott mostly stays the same, with it's collor changing from white to dark grey and baby blue to red, while it's feet and tail become black and the shell has the same collor. Dewott has a hula skirt instead of it's natural "short", and the same collor changes as Oshawott, with it's whispers being inflamable. Samurott becomes bipedal, has only shells at it's arms and legs, and it's horn being natural. It has more defined hands and a inflamable beard. Color wise, Shell stays the same, the dark blue becomes dark gray, it's belly and tail becomes a dark red, and it's feet and hand stays the same.

Pokemon: Tepig
New typing: Normal/fighting
New abilities: Wimp Out (Run Away)
New stats:
HP: 65
Atk: 43 (-20)
Def: 45
Sp. Atk: 35 (-10)
Sp. Def: 45
Speed: 75 (+30)

Flavor: Alolan Tepig were brought and released in the wild. Although, they have terrible surviving skills as they are acostumed to be given to trainers shortly after they are born, and be raised as a domesticated Pokemon. Due to this it gets desperate in the wild as it is hopeless. It rarely ever attacks a pokemon and is almost always scarred and running away from them. Not using the fire moves it's acostumed to made it loose the typing, and becoming a Normal type.

Design: Mostly looks like regular Tepig, but it's pink like an actual pig and it doesn't have the diaper-like thing on it's back legs

Moves: Removed: Blast Burn, Ember, Fire Blast, Fire Pledge, Flame Charge, Flamethrower, Flare Blitz, Heat Crash, Heat Wave, Incinerate, Overheat, Sunny Day, Thrash, Grass Knot, Head Smash, Heavy Slam, Zen Headbutt, Solar Beam (18)

Added: Agility, Baton Pass, U-Turn, Quick Attack, Baby-Doll Eyes, Extemespeed (6)

Pokemon: Pignite
New typing: Ghost/Fighting
New abilities: Moxie (Tough Claws)
New stats:
HP: 90
Atk: 103 (+10)
Def: 80 (+25)
Sp. Atk: 40 (-30)
Sp. Def: 80 (+25)
Speed: 25 (-30)
Flavor: Most Tepigs were too weak for the wild. Most of them were quickly hunted by other Pokemon and got easly hurt. So they died. Altough, they became a ghost ready for revenge. Alolan Pignite prepared themselves more then when they were a Tepig, having raised their defenses and much greatly their attack. Instead ofrunning, they decided to stay and wait for the foe to come, so they can attack. Instead of being preys, they became predators being very aggressive.

Desig: Stays on four legs. It's body is a dark, black fur. On it's back there's also hair (idk what it's called, sorry) that comes from it's head to the back of the spine, that is made of smog (Think Gastly). Two small spiky teeth comes out of the bottom part of it's mouth.

Moves: Removed: Blast Burn, Ember, Fire Blast, Fire Pledge, Flame Charge, Flamethrower, Flare Blitz, Heat Crash, Heat Wave, Incinerate, Overheat, Sunny Day, Thrash, Fire Punch, Grass Knot, Heavy Slam, Zen Headbutt, Solar Beam (18)

Added: Agility, Baton Pass, U-Turn, Quick Attack, Baby-Doll Eyes, Extemespeed, Slack Off, Confuse Ray, Phantom Force, Shadow Claw, Shadow Sneak, Spectral Thief, Trick-Or-Treat, Scarry Face, Revenge, Retaliate (16)

Pokemon: Emboar
New typing: Ghost/Fighting
New abilities: Moxie (Tough Claws)
New stats:
HP: 110
Atk: 133 (+10)
Def: 90 (+25)
Sp. Atk: 70 (-30)
Sp. Def: 90 (+25)
Speed: 35 (-30)
Flavor: Much like Pignite, Emboars in the alolan region are wild beasts. They may be slower then what they were in Unova, but they hit slightly harder and are much more resilient. They are found mostly in wet forests and open mountain pastures. It is recomended that if you see one, you should follow Tepig's steps of running away as fast as possible.

Design: Keeps most traits it has from Pignite as staying quadruped with the same coloration. It doesn't have the fire beard that Unova Emboars have. It's eyes glows, and are purple. It's teeth became giant tusks.

Moves: Removed: Blast Burn, Ember (Ironically), Fire Blast, Fire Pledge, Flame Charge, Flamethrower, Flare Blitz, Heat Crash, Heat Wave, Incinerate, Overheat, Sunny Day, Thrash, Fire Punch, Heavy Slam, Solar Beam, Grass Knot, Zen Headbutt, Power-Up punch, Scald, Thunder Punch (21)

Added: Agility, Baton Pass, U-Turn, Quick Attack, Baby-Doll Eyes, Extemespeed, Slack Off, Confuse Ray, Phantom Force, Shadow Claw, Shadow Sneak, Spectral Thief, Trick-Or-Treat, Scarry Face, Shadow Bone, Spirit Shackle, Close Combat, Revenge, Retaliate, Cross Chop, Head Charge (21)

Note: Some move Tepig looses can be learned after it evolves, that's why some of it's removed moves are on it's evolutions.

A lttle question here: Can we do cloned abilities from already existing abilities like in Megas For All? For example, making a Poison type clone of Torrent, or a Water type clone of Steelworker?

New Moves - Cross Poison, Gunk Shot, Poison Fang, Poison Jab, Poison Tail, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Toxic Spikes, Bullet Punch, Iron Head, Iron Tail, Metal Claw, Shift Gear, Smart Strike, Thunder Fang, Thunder Punch - 16
Removed Moves - Agility, Water Gun, Ice Fang, Flail, Aqua Tail, Hydro Pump, Hail, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Rain Dance, Scald, Surf, Waterfall, Ice Punch, Aqua Jet, Water Pulse, Hydro Cannon, Water Pledge, Dive, Avalanche - 20

Flavor - Many Feraligatrs were brought from Jhoto to Alola to help contain the massive populations of Yungoos that were starting to inhabit Alolan islands, however, to prey on Yungoos more easily, Feraligatrs would have to leave water, since Yungoos are commonly found on land. The Feraligatrs brought then started developing a protective Steel Armor, since they allowed Feraligatr to take less damage from Yungoos and Gumshoos's Normal-Type Moves, the Poison-Type came for they're association with Swamps, where they would hide themselvews from danger and protect the smaller Totodiles
Design - Alolan Totodile, Croconaw and Feraligatr all have a metallic like body, with green and purple poison and rust. They are all bipedal and crocodillian-like. A very notable feature from this specific Pokémon line is their steel jaw which also happens to contain poison to help them prey on their targets. The evolution line also has many sets of spikes, commonly on the top of their heads, at their back and at the tip of their tail. The final evolution, Feraligatr, also has a huge rusted gear at the very middle of his belly, there's a hole on the middle of the gear where its clear to see the toxins that its body creates.

Competitive Analysis - Shift Gear allows Alolan Feraligatr to be extremely threatening, Sheer Force Gunk Shot really hurts, and Iron Head can be used as a secondary STAB, or maybe Iron Tail if you really want to risk a miss for more power. Earthquake is a very nice coverage move to complement its STABs however, it doesn't get a Sheer Force boost but is still very powerful nonetheless, Crunch is recommended if Earthquake isn't chosen

New Moves - Astonish, Hex, Phantom Force, Shadow Claw, Shadow Punch, Shadow Sneak, Autotomize, Bullet Punch, Heavy Slam, Iron Defense, Iron Head, Metal Claw - 12
Removed Moves - Water Gun, Water Sport, Water Pulse, Aqua Jet, Aqua Tail, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Scald, Surf, Waterfall, Brine, Hydro Cannon, Water Pledge, Dive - 15

Flavor - Oshawotts started learnning their Shadow skills with Alolan Marowaks at Wela Volcano Park, many of them eventuallt evolved into Samurotts eventually and these Samurotts started developing a metallic armor to guard their shadow souls better, also, Samurotts love for blades helped them on this evolution, since now that they're Stell-types they love using Steel swords and their armor is said to be made from the same material that constucted the most powerful swords in both Alolan and Unovan history.
Design - Oshawotts and Dewotts are both dark purple and loose their association with shells. Samurott looks similar but it has a metallic Samurai-like armor sorrounding its body

Competitive Analysis - Alolan Samurott is a very potent wallbreaker with base 128 Atk, it has respectable base 78 Speed as well and can easily boost with Autotomize and Swords Dance to Sweep. It does have somewhat average bulk though, 95/71/78 isn't too much tbh

When Oshawott were introduced to the Alola region, they settled in the Melemele Sea. They liked the close interaction they had with the swimmers from Hau'oli City. However, they struggled with the native Mareanie and Toxapex populations. Their shells evolved into a hard steel that provided an immunity to the poison from the urchins. Thanks to them, the local Corsola populations have recovered.

The smoke is also contagious to inhale, as it contains poisons that can harm people and Pokémon alike. It, like Cyndaquil, is very darker in its colors, has the fire replaced with smoke and also has red eyes.

Pokémon:

Flavor/Design: Typhlosion, finally getting the strength it desired, rampages throughout Alola firing dark pulses everywhere. People had to border these Pokémon in designated areas and keep others out. Seeing dark smoke cover the road is a sure sign that a Typhlosion is near so people run away when they see smoke. The color scheme is a very dark grey, it's fire replaced with smoke and has red eyes.

Pokemon: Alolan Oshawott
New typing: Fairy
New abilities: Aroma Veil (Pixilate)
New stats: 55/75(+20)/50(+5)/43(-20)/45/40(-5)
New/removed moves:
Removed: Water Gun, Water Sport, Water Pulse, Razor Shell, Water Pledge, Aqua Jet, Aqua Tail, Hydro Pump, Surf, Dive, Hydro Cannon, Waterfall, Icy Wind, Scald, Brine, Ice Beam, Blizzard (17)
New: Acrobatics, Aromatic Mist, Baby-Doll Eyes, Beat Up, Bounce, Brutal Swing, Icicle Spear*, Poison Jab, Sharpen*, Sky Uppercut, Smart Strike (11)
Flavor/Design: Alolan Oshawott has pink stripe-like markings on its face and a pink nose allowing it to blend in with the flowers on Akala island. Its dark blue ears have turned grey and become dots on its head which it uses to sense vibrations in the air, helping it run away from Pa'u Style Oricorio, its natural predator. Its shell has become a small spear to thrust at Oricorio, and its body has grown a purple exoskeleton that extends until its tail which has become muscular enough to propel it into the air.

Pokemon: Alolan Dewott
New typing: Fairy
New abilities: Intimidate (Pixilate)
New stats: 75/95(+20)/75(+15)/53(-30)/65(+5)/50(-10)
New/removed moves:
Removed: Water Gun, Water Sport, Water Pulse, Razor Shell, Water Pledge, Aqua Jet, Aqua Tail, Hydro Pump, Surf, Dive, Hydro Cannon, Waterfall, Icy Wind, Scald, Brine, Ice Beam, Blizzard (17)
New: Acrobatics, Aromatic Mist, Baby-Doll Eyes, Beat Up, Bounce, Brutal Swing, Icicle Spear*, Poison Jab, Sharpen*, Sky Uppercut, Smart Strike, Throat Chop, Brick Break, Sucker Punch, Quick Attack, Knock Off, Headbutt (17)
Flavor/Design: Alolan Dewott patrol Akala island frequently. They have two swords which they stick to their back with nectar. This has given them a "nectar pouch" on their stomach, where they store nectar they gather. Their pink whiskers sense vibrations in the air, and the bone on their head resembling a small rhino horn is extremely hard, often used for combat between males. Their body is purple and their "skirt" has hardened, coiled around their legs and turned white.

Pokemon: Alolan Samurott
New typing: Fairy/Steel
New abilities: Sturdy (Pixilate)
New stats: 95/110(+10)/95(+10)/78(-30)/80(+10)/70
New/removed moves:
Removed: Water Gun, Water Sport, Water Pulse, Razor Shell, Water Pledge, Aqua Jet, Aqua Tail, Hydro Pump, Surf, Dive, Hydro Cannon, Waterfall, Icy Wind, Scald, Brine, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Dragon Tail (18)
New: Acrobatics, Aromatic Mist, Baby-Doll Eyes, Beat Up, Bounce, Brutal Swing, Icicle Spear*, Poison Jab, Sharpen*, Sky Uppercut, Smart Strike, Throat Chop, Brick Break, Sucker Punch, Quick Attack, Knock Off, Headbutt, Zen Headbutt, Floral Healing, Heavy Slam, Dazzling Gleam (20)
Flavor/Design: Alolan Samurott is a behemoth. Covered in several layers of winding metal armour, no predator even tries to attack it. Blindingly white winding armour plating that curls up its legs, down its corkscrew tail and covers a lower layer of partially transparent armour that coats its whole, pink body. Its nectar pouch has turned into a kind of pocket in its underbelly where it stores multiple swords and spears, said to have healing properties.

*It literally has a spear.

Competitive: I'll admit this Oshawott isn't doing much in LC, and that most of the competitive focus is on Samurott. It has good bulk, good Attack and a speed tier perfect for a wallbreaker or a scarf. Pixilate gives it a crazy powerful Fairy STAB in Return, Smart Strike is a decent Steel STAB, and its wide coverage makes it even better at breaking. It even has strong priority in Quick Attack (Pixilate boosted) and Sucker Punch!

Pokemon: Alolan Cyndaquil
New typing: Water
New abilities: Swift Swim (Stakeout)
New stats: 39/62(+10)/43/40(-20)/40(-10)/75(+10)
New/removed moves:
Removed: Smokescreen, Ember, Flame Wheel, Leer, Flame Charge, Burn Up, Eruption, Lava Plume, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Inferno, Wild Charge, Flame Burst, Flare Blitz, Will-O-Wisp, Blast Burn, Heat Wave, Crush Claw (18)
New: Tail Whip, Water Gun, Aqua Tail, Aqua Jet, Waterfall, Dive, Iron Tail, Surf, Rain Dance, Scald, Slash, Night Slash, Water Spout (13)
Flavor/Design: Alola is a region with a lot of water. Because of this, for a Pokemon line such as Cyndaquil's it was a natural step to become aquatic. Its flame-bursting back has become a blowhole, allowing the aquatic mammal to breathe effectively. Its squinting eyes have become cat-like to see faraway prey and predators, and its long nose has shortened and become a sensor of vibrations in the water that connects to its now light blue underbelly. Alolan Cyndaquil are fast scavengers, eating the bones of large predators and picking off Wishiwashi that got separated from their school. Alolan Cyndaquil also have a small tail to help them swim faster.

Pokemon: Alolan Quilava
New typing: Water
New abilities: Swift Swim (Stakeout)
New stats: 58/84/58/60(-20)/60(-5)/85
New/removed moves:
Removed: Smokescreen, Ember, Flame Wheel, Leer, Flame Charge, Burn Up, Eruption, Lava Plume, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Inferno, Wild Charge, Flame Burst, Flare Blitz, Will-O-Wisp, Blast Burn, Heat Wave, Crush Claw (18)
New: Tail Whip, Water Gun, Aqua Tail, Aqua Jet, Waterfall, Dive, Iron Tail, Surf, Rain Dance, Scald, Hydro Pump, Slash, Night Slash, Water Spout, Bite, Poison Fang, Thunder Fang, Ice Fang (18)
Flavor/Design: Alolan Quilava are smooth creatures with fins on each leg and light blue lines along their sleek blue bodies. Their sharp eyes can spot things 5x as effectively as human eyes, and their small mouths conceal several layers of canines that constantly regrow until they evolve, like a shark. Their long bodies allow them to confuse prey by "coiling" around them with a unique swimming pattern, before biting them with their many teeth.

Pokemon: Alolan Typhlosion
New typing: Water
New abilities: Swift Swim (Strong Jaw)
New stats: 73(-5)/109(+20)/73(-5)/104(-5)/70(-15)/110(+10)
New/removed moves:
Removed: Smokescreen, Ember, Flame Wheel, Leer, Flame Charge, Burn Up, Eruption, Lava Plume, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Inferno, Wild Charge, Flame Burst, Flare Blitz, Will-O-Wisp, Blast Burn, Heat Wave, Crush Claw, Gyro Ball (19)
New: Tail Whip, Water Gun, Aqua Tail, Aqua Jet, Waterfall, Dive, Iron Tail, Surf, Rain Dance, Scald, Hydro Pump, Slash, Night Slash, Water Spout, Bite, Poison Fang, Thunder Fang, Ice Fang, Fire Fang (19)
Flavor/Design: Alolan Typhlosion loses its fins upon evolution, and becomes semiaquatic, comfortably living on both land and in the sea. Their bodies are very sleek, making them extremely fast swimmers. Their fangs have gotten larger, now able to penetrate steel. Its dark blue body has light blue dots all over, and their back is full of water which they can shoot at predators. Well, they would if they weren't the top predator in all of Alola. Their incredible speed and bite have allowed families of Typhlosion to destroy schools of Wishiwashi and Gyarados in the wild.

Flavor/Design: Alolan Tepig stand taller than Unovian Tepig, measuring 0.6m and weighing 9.5kg. They have prominent brows, beady eyes, and small tusks that protrude from their bottom jaws. Their hides are a sage green color. Alolan Tepig have small, round ears that sit on top of their heads, and their tails have evolved into a slightly stubby, but relatively thick, appendage reminiscent of reptilian creatures. The darkened sides of a Unovian Tepig's flesh is covered by a thick layer of grey-brown mud on the Alolan equivalent's skin, which it uses as a light armor to stop predation attempts. Alolan Tepig are characteristically lazy and unmotivated, but exhibit an attraction to shiny objects such as coins, which they will travel relatively far to obtain.

New abilities: Steadfast / Stakeout (HA)

Flavor/Design: Alolan Pignite's size further differentiates from its Unovian family, and it now stands 1.2m tall and weighs 50kg. Their hides have lightened to a degree, now resembling a dull grass shade. Alolan Pignite have prominent brows and enormous snouts, the jaws of which protrude far from their faces. The species has tusks on its bottom jaw, and has begun to grow small horns, one above each eye. Alolan Pignites have large noses, which it uses to detect, and alert its trainer to, unfamiliar scents. Alolan Pignite has a coat of mud that it covers its pate and torso with, giving it the appearance of wearing a helm and breastplate. Alolan Pignite, although rather stupid beasts, are quite popular within the security industry due to their fierce loyalty and strong dispositions to obedience.

Pokemon: Emboar
New typing: Ground / Fairy
New abilities: Own Tempo / Dancer (HA)
New stats: 110 / 105 (-18) / 64 (-1) / 105 (+5) / 64 (-1) / 80 (+15) (Net Change: +0)
New/removed moves: - Hammer Arm, - Arm Thrust, - Ember, - Flame Charge, - Smog, - Flamethrower, - Take Down, - Heat Crash, - Flare Blitz, - Sunny Day, - Solar Beam, - Fire Blast, - Overheat, - Will-O-Wisp, - Curse, - Superpower, - Thrash, - Zen Headbutt, - Fire Pledge, - Wild Charge, - Low Swepe, - Focus Blast, - Gyro Ball, - Blast Burn, + Mud-Slap, + Play Rough, + Wide Guard, + Pay Day, + Entrainment, + Dragon Dance, + Swords Dance, + Quiver Dance, + Teeter Dance, + Dragon Tail, + Feather Dance, + Tail Slap, + Dazzling Gleam, + Earth Power, + Lick, + Iron Tail, + Perish Song, + Play Nice, + Sing, + Disarming Voice, + Hyper Voice, + Draining Kiss, + Aqua Tail, + Wonder Room, + Revelation Dance (Net Change: +0)
Flavor/Design: Alolan Emboar are larger but significantly lighter than their Unovian counterparts. They stand around 1.8m tall and weigh about 100 kg . Alolan Emboar's flesh is a bright green color, and it has a prominent jaw with large tusks jutting out from the sides of its mouth, and small horns jutting from its brow line. It covers its torso and head with mud fashioned similarly to a helmet and tunic, the latter of which it casts off when in a confrontation to avoid becoming encumbered. Alolan Emboar appeared suddenly and without warning in the new region; locals say that it came from the stars, but scientists think that it was attracted by the shiny native currency. Although they prefer to fight using vocal strikes and gesticulating dodges, when an Alolan Emboar sees that its foe is sufficiently exhausted, it waggles its large tongue as it moves in before delivering the finishing blows with its powerful reptilian tail. Alolan Emboar are dull and otherwise unintelligent creatures, but are beloved by wealthy trainers for their rythmic talents; it is said that once an Alolan Emboar starts its song and dance, all who witness this event are enthralled, and can't help but join in themselves.

Alolan Emboar is designed to be a versatile yet balanced setup sweeper. It has a plethora of boosting options, and a great offensive typing, but is slow for a speed-boosting sweeper and has lower offenses than most of today's threats. Its movepool, which consists of Ground/Fairy/Water/Dark/Steel/Poison/Normal typed STAB and coverage options, focuses mainly on its STAB combination alone but gives it a definite list of counters and checks no matter the set of choice; to name a few bulky: Waters, bulky Grasses, users of strong bullet punch/ice shard, many Choice Scarf users, and in general anything that resists Fairy and is immune to Ground, such as Skarmory or Weezing.

Sample Sets:

Dragon Dance

Quiver Dance

Swords Dance

Bulky Quiver Dance

Pokemon: Alolan Oshawott
New typing: Water / Ghost
New abilities: Steelworker (Fluffy)
New stats: 55 / 65 / 45 / 53 / 45 / 45
- Changes: 0 / +10 / 0 / -10 / 0 / 0
New/removed moves:
REMOVED (11): Dig, Rock Smash, Cut, Dive, Secret Power, Detect, Trump Card, Water Sport, Fury Cutter, Water Pulse, Aqua Tail
ADDED (11): Shadow Ball, Torment, Thief, Snarl, Payback, Iron Head, Curse, Will-O-Wisp, Metal Claw, Shadow Claw, Shift Gear
Flavor/Design: Up until a few years ago, Alola was home to a thriving Oshawott population, but an oil spill at a nearby drill site wiped them out. Their original bodies gone, these spectral Oshawott used their scalchops to sculpt new forms from the oil rig that caused their demise, and they now roam the seafloor, denying all attempts to resume extraction. Their handiwork is impressive - save for a few strands of scrap sticking out here or there, they look almost exactly like mainland Oshawott, and the finely shredded metal is somehow even softer to touch - but while their new exoskeleton has impressive durability, trace amounts of oil make some of them less resistant to fire than a mainland Oshawott's pelt.

Pokemon: Alolan Dewott
New typing: Water / Ghost
New abilities: Steelworker (Fluffy)
New stats: 75 / 85 / 65 / 68 / 60 / 60
- Changes: 0 / +10 / +5 / -15 / 0 / 0
New/removed moves:
REMOVED (11): Dig, Rock Smash, Cut, Dive, Secret Power, Detect, Trump Card, Water Sport, Fury Cutter, Water Pulse, Aqua Tail
ADDED (11): Shadow Ball, Torment, Thief, Snarl, Payback, Iron Head, Curse, Will-O-Wisp, Metal Claw, Shadow Claw, Shift Gear
Flavor/Design: When Alolan Oshawott evolves, it learns how to alloy its scalchops with steel. This makes them more potent both as weapons and as tools. Alolan Dewott have also developed a fighting style different from that of their dual-blading mainland counterparts, preferring to wield one scalchop as a buckler. Any residual oil on the scalchop - and Dewott's silky steel coat - still catches fairly easily, however. Alolan Dewott see themselves as protectors of the forgotten and the ignored, and they draw power from this sense of duty; if a Dewott sees a person harm another through negligence, it will pursue and attack until that person is satisfactorily contrite.

Pokemon: Alolan Samurott
New typing: Water / Ghost
New abilities: Steelworker (Fluffy)
New stats: 95 / 110 / 95 / 78 / 80 / 70
- Changes: 0 / +10 / +10 / -30 / +10 / 0
New/removed moves:
REMOVED (13): Strength, Megahorn, Dig, Rock Smash, Cut, Dive, Secret Power, Detect, Trump Card, Water Sport, Fury Cutter, Water Pulse, Aqua Tail
ADDED (13): Shift Gear, Iron Head, Shadow Ball, Torment, Thief, Snarl, Payback, King's Shield, Curse, Will-O-Wisp, Metal Claw, Shadow Claw, Spirit Shackle
Flavor/Design: When the soul of a Dewott draws enough power to become corporeal, it evolves into Samurott. Alolan Samurott carry the same regality as its mainland brethren, backed by a strong sense of honor and care for the meek. Samurott's armor and seamitars are composed of masterfully tempered steel, with intricate chitinous accents providing added strength and style. Touching this material is said to carry a curse, draining the victim's will to resist. Alolan Samurott can channel this curse by driving a seamitar into the ground, cutting off its foe's escape as it hands down its sentence. Although it prefers to stand and fight - its pliable spectral form able to soften all manner of blows - in a truly dire situation Samurott can suck itself into its shell, sheltering it from attack. Occasionally, Alolan Samurott has been witnessed channeling its power into a berserker's rage, moving far more quickly than its heavy armor should allow and swinging its seamitars with enough force to shatter cliffs.

Oshawott and its evolution line are the least competitively viable Water-type starters. However, although their numbers suck, their flavor design isn't the worst - they're a feudal society of blade-wielding sea otters. That noted, the first thing I felt they needed was a secondary type to differentiate them from other bulky Water attackers. I almost settled on Steel, but since Empoleon can pull off an offensive set, I decided to see what an offensive Water/Ghost could do.

Between the two abilities, I assume it's obvious which one is a flavor pick and which one's a practical pick. Fluffy provides Samurott opportunities to set up, even in the face of Knock Off, and gives Oshawott and Dewott a bit of a push so they stand out in LC and lower tiers. Steelworker is the flavor pick, but Water/Steel/Ghost provides incredible STAB coverage, with only Bibarel and the Water/Dark crowd able to resist it.

As for the moves, I removed the Bug-type moves (they're mostly redundant given Samurott's other moves), the ORAS HMs, some useless Egg Moves, and some weaker Water moves to make room for a movepool befitting a Ghost-type. Spirit Shackle and King's Shield are there to push a bulky attacking set, while Shift Gear makes the entire line a credible sweeping threat. As for the stats, I switched Special Attack and Attack to better suit Samurott's usual gameplan, then further dropped the Special Attack to help focus it.

Alolan Chikorita line soon to follow.
