[OVERVIEW]
Alolan Muk stands out as the one of the best specially defensive walls in the tier, as it's able to check powerful special foes such as Mega Alakazam, Mega Gengar, and Zapdos. Additionally, it's one of the few Pokemon that do well versus Mew, as it can deal consistent damage to it even when inflicted with a potential burn. Alolan Muk is also powerful by virtue of its great defensive typing, as it only has one exploitable type weakness in Ground. However, despite its high special bulk, Alolan Muk's Speed is very low and leaves it susceptible to faster foes such as Aerodactyl, Mew, and Poliwrath, and it also means that Alolan Muk must be damaged first before using an attack more often than not. Additionally, its poor physical bulk leaves it susceptible to powerful physical attackers such as Mega Aerodactyl, Mega Beedrill, Mega Gyarados, and Melmetal.

Set Information
========

Crunch is Alolan Muk's Dark-type STAB move, which allows it to threaten the two most dangerous Mega Evolutions in the tier in Mega Alakazam and Mega Gengar. Fire Blast is used to damage Melmetal effectively. Mega Drain take advantage of some of Alolan Muk's checks, namely Poliwrath and Rhydon, while also granting it recovery. Alolan Muk uses Toxic to set a timer on bulky foes such as Mew and Zapdos, which is especially useful because its accuracy is boosted through its Poison typing. Rest can be opted for over Toxic as a means of restoring its health, but this leaves Alolan Muk vulnerable to setup sweepers such as Calm Mind Mega Alakazam and Nasty Plot Mew; moreover, this move usually would require support from Eevee-S's Sparkly Swirl because of the time it takes for Alolan Muk to wake up. Facade can also be used in the last moveslot to deal extra damage when afflicted with a status condition and is especially beneficial against Will-O-Wisp Mew, despite it being worn down by a potential Toxic as well. A Sassy nature bolsters Alolan Muk's defensive capabilities without sacrificing any power while still letting it be faster than foes such as Rhydon and Melmetal. Both a Careful and a Lonely nature can be opted for over a Lonely nature to boost its Defense, to check foes such as Calm Mind Mega Alakazam and Zapdos more easily.

Usage Tips
========

Alolan Muk should be kept as healthy as possible in order to threaten powerful special attackers such as Mega Alakazam, Mega Gengar, and Starmie. If Alolan Muk is using Rest, it should avoid being taken advantage of by setup sweepers such as Calm Mind Mega Alakazam and Nasty Plot Mew. Alolan Muk should avoid powerful physical attackers such as Mega Beedrill and Dragonite because of its very poor physical bulk. It should also be cautious of Eevee-S, as its ability to burn it through Sizzly Slide and sap away at its health through Sappy Seed make it a nuisance to remove.

Team Options
========

Alolan Muk greatly appreciates Eevee-S's support, as it has the capability to heal its status conditions through Sparkly Swirl, burn some of its physical checks such as Dragonite and Mega Gyarados through Sizzly Slide, and even provide it with residual recovery by virtue of Sappy Seed. This especially holds true for Rest variants of Alolan Muk. Physically defensive foes such as Melmetal, Poliwrath, and Mega Venusaur can sponge powerful physical attacks for Alolan Muk(space)and can share the burden of sponging other special attacks from foes such as Mega Alakazam and Gengar if need be. Alolan Muk appreciates Flying-types such as Dragonite and Zapdos, as they cover its weakness to Ground-type moves. Psychic-types such as Mew and Mega Alakazam can also be paired with Alolan Muk, as they can heavily threaten common Fighting-types such as Poliwrath. In return, Alolan Muk can threaten opposing Psychic-types for Mew and Mega Alakazam.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Taunt can be utilized over Toxic to prevent recovery from foes such as Mew and Rest users like opposing Alolan Muk. However, Alolan Muk is too slow to utilize Taunt to the fullest capacity. Poison Jab can be utilized over Toxic as a means of poisoning the foe without having to worry without about opposing Taunt, and it also targets Fairy-types such as Clefable for super effective damage. However, the chance to poison the foe through Poison Jab is incredibly small compared to Toxic. Additionally, Poison Jab inflicts only regular poison damage instead of the bad poison damage that Toxic provides, making it less threatening to Mew. Self-Destruct can be used as a last-ditch (AH) effort to remove problematic foes from the field such as Mega Charizard X or Zapdos or heavily damage them to the point where setup sweepers such as Mega Alakazam and Mew can take advantage of them. However, Self-Destruct is very situational and isn't as optimal to utilize when foes such as Mega Alakazam and Mega Gengar require Alolan Muk's presence in order to be countered.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ground-types**: Ground-types such as Alolan Dugtrio and Rhydon have the capability to OHKO Alolan Muk with Earthquake, but they must be wary of switching in due to frailty and a 4x weakness to Mega Drain, respectively.

**Physical Attackers**: Powerful phsical attackers such as Mega Aerodactyl, Mega Beedrill, Mega Gyarados, and Melmetal threaten to OHKO or 2HKO Alolan Muk with their powerful physical attacks.

**Burns**: Foes that induce burns such as Eevee-S, Mew, and Poliwrath hamper Alolan Muk's physical attacks and chip away at its health. However, Alolan Muk can circumvent this status by utilizing Facade or return fire with its own Toxic.

Sorry for the delay, but this should be QC ready now. First time in a new tier is hard lol

Banned deucer.
[OVERVIEW]
*Alolan Muk stands out as the one of the best Specially Defensive walls in the tier, as it's able to check powerful special foes such as Mega Alakazam, Mega Gengar, and Zapdos.
*Alolan Muk is also powerful by virtue of its great defensive typing, as it only has one exploitable type weakness in Ground. This sole weakness is still pretty big, as a lot of physical attackers especially carry Earthquake as coverage.
*Despite its high special bulk, Alolan Muk's speed is very low and leaves it susceptible to faster status and Taunt users such as Aerodactyl, Mew, and Poliwrath. Also note that in general it always needs to take a hit before dishing out any damage of its own.
*Additionally, its poor physical defense leaves it susceptible to powerful physical attackers such as Mega Aerodactyl and Melmetal. Would add Mega Gyarados and Mega Beedrill here as well.

[SET]
name: Specially Defensive

move 2: Fire Blast
move 3: Mega Drain
move 4: Toxic / Rest
item: N/A
nature: Lonely

[SET COMMENTS]
Set Information
========

*Crunch is Alolan Muk's Dark-type STAB move which allows it to threaten Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Gengar and Starmie. You can also note its ability to lower defense which can help in matchups vs Zapdos and Snorlax.
*Fire Blast is used to damage Steel-types such as Alolan Dugtrio and Melmetal effectively.
*Mega Drain capitalizes on some of Alolan Muk's checks, namely Poliwrath and Rhydon while also granting it with recovery.
*Alolan Muk uses Toxic to set a timer on bulky foes such as Mew and Zapdos, which is especially useful as its accuracy is boosted through its Poison typing.
*Rest can be opted for over Toxic as a means of restoring its health, but leaves itself vulnerable to setup sweepers such as Calm Mind Mega Alakazam and Nasty Plot Mew.
* Mention a note on Facade
*A Lonely nature is utilized to boost the power of Crunch without hampering its special attack stat. Definetely should also mention Sassy / Careful as well to better the matchup versus Zapdos and Calm Mind Mega Alakazam.

Usage Tips
========

*Alolan Muk should be kept as healthy as possible in order to threaten powerful special attackers such as Mega Alakazam and Starmie.
*If Alolan Muk is using Rest, it should avoid being taken advantage of by setup sweepers such as Calm Mind Mega Alakazam and Nasty Plot Mew.
*Alolan Muk should avoid powerful physical attackers such as Mega Beedrill and Mega Charizard X because of its very poor physical bulk. I would remove Mega Zard X as most tend to go fully specially offensive. Would replace with Dragonite.
*It should also avoid utility users such as Stallbreaker Mew and Moltres, as they can take advantage of its slow speed and cripple it with their utility options. Note that it forces it to use Rest or rely on Facade for physical damage if burned. Also use Eevee-S as a status spreader example as well.
*Against foes that it threatens such as Mega Gengar, Alolan Muk should also utilize Toxic often to cripple potential switchins such as Poliwrath and Rhydon.

Team Options
========

*Alolan Muk greatly appreciates Eevee-S's functions, as it has the capability to heal its status conditions through Sparkly Swirl, burn some of its physical checks such as Dragonite and Mega Gyarados throug Sizzly Slide, and even provide it with residual recovery by virtue of Sappy Seed. Mention that Rest variants require Eevee-S support.
*Physically defensive foes such as Poliwrath and Mega Venusaur can sponge powerful physical attacks for Alolan Muk. Melmetal is also another noteworthy example as well as even if they share a Ground weakness, Melmetal can ease the burden in checking threats like Mega Alakazam.
*Alolan Muk appreciates Flying-types such as Dragonite and Zapdos as they circumvent its weakness to Ground-type moves.
*Psychic-types such as Mew and Mega Alakazam can also be paired with Alolan Muk, as they can heavily threaten common Fighting-types such as Poliwrath. In return, Alolan Muk can threaten opposing Psychic-types for Mew and Mega Alakazam.

Other Options

*Taunt can be utilized over Toxic to prevent recovery from foes such as Mew and Rest users like opposing Alolan Muk. However, Alolan Muk is too slow to utilize Taunt to the fullest capacity.
*Poison Jab can be utilized over Toxic as a means of poisoning the foe without having to worry without being Taunted. However, the chance to poison the foe through Poison Jab is incredibly small compared to Toxic, where Toxic always hits the foe because of Alolan Muk's Poison typing. Also note that it can target Clefable for super effective damage as well.
* A note on Self-Destruct.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ground-types**: Ground-types such as Alolan Dugtrio and Rhydon have the capability to OHKO Alolan Muk with Earthquake.

**Physical Attackers**: Powerful Physical attackers such as Mega Gyarados and Melmetal severely threaten to OHKO or 2HKO Alolan Muk with their powerful physical attacks. Add Mega Beedrill

**Burns**: Will-o-Wisp users such as Moltres and Scald users like Poliwrath and Slowbro utilize their burn-inducing moves to hamper Alolan Muk's physical attacks and chip away at its health. Mention Eevee-S Sizzly Slide and Mew WoW, and that it can circumvent somewhat via Facade.

Kinda busy so this is slightly rushed, just put some comments or ideas of what to add/remove in. If you feel like something isn't right or accurate feel free to question it!
[OVERVIEW]
*Alolan Muk stands out as the one of the best Specially Defensive walls in the tier, as it's able to check powerful special foes such as Mega Alakazam, Mega Gengar, and Zapdos. It also has a positive matchup versus Mew, being able to wear it down despite being burned via Toxic while dealing with common attacking options
*Alolan Muk is also powerful by virtue of its great defensive typing, as it only has one exploitable type weakness in Ground.
*Despite its high special bulk, Alolan Muk's speed is very low and leaves it susceptible to faster status and Taunt users such as Aerodactyl, Mew, and Poliwrath, and also implies that Alolan Muk must be damaged first before using an attack more often than not. Remove mentions of Taunt- the move isn't really used
*Additionally, its poor physical defense leaves it susceptible to poewrful physical attackers such as Mega Aerodactyl, Mega Beedrill, Mega Gyarados and Melmetal.

Set Information

*Crunch is Alolan Muk's Dark-type STAB move which allows it to threaten Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Gengar and Starmie, and also has the added benefit of lowering defense, which can be beneficial against foes such as Snorlax and Zapdos. I'd focus on that Dark is especially good versus the two threatening special Mega Evolutions Muk is primarily used to deal with, those being gar and zam
*Fire Blast is used to damage Steel-types such as Alolan Dugtrio and Melmetal effectively. Fire Blast doesn't do much more to Dugtrio than Crunch and achieves the same 2hko, make this point specifically for Melmetal (honestly that's the entire reason it runs the move)
Mention that Rest's downsides mean it should usually only be ran alongside a Starter Eevee with Sparkly Swirl
*Facade can also be used in the last moveslot to deal extra damage when dealt with a status condition. Mention that this is most relevant versus Will-O-Wisp Mew which can already be dealt with via Toxic
*A Lonely nature is utilized to boost the power of Crunch without hampering its special attack stat. A Sassy Nature bolsters Alolan Muk's defensive capabilities without sacrificing any offensive power, while still being faster than foes such as Rhydon and Melmetal.
*Both a Careful and a Sassy nature can be opted for over a Lonely nature to boost its special defense, making it able to check foes such as Calm Mind Mega Alakazam and Zapdos much easier.

Usage Tips
========

*Alolan Muk should be kept as healthy as possible in order to threaten powerful special attackers such as Mega Alakazam, Mega Gengar and Starmie. If these threats are already disposed of or not present, Muk can be used offensively to wear down the opposing team thanks to its strong coverage on common Pokémon and reliable Toxic.
*If Alolan Muk is using Rest, it should avoid being taken advantage of by setup sweepers such as Calm Mind Mega Alakazam and Nasty Plot Mew.
*Alolan Muk should avoid powerful physical attackers such as Mega Beedrill and Dragonite because of its very poor physical bulk.
*It should also avoid utility users such as Eevee-S, Stallbreaker Mew, and Moltres, as they can take advantage of its slow speed and cripple it with their utility options and often force Alolan Muk to use Rest or Facade. It mostly runs Toxic which makes the Mew matchup somewhat profitable, Moltres isn't hugely popular and sometimes doesn't even run Will-O-Wisp (and is also vulnerable to Toxic). Some point could be made about an unfavourable Eevee matchup though
*Against foes that it threatens such as Mega Gengar, Alolan Muk should also utilize Toxic often to cripple potential switchins such as Poliwrath and Rhydon. This might be poor advice as Gengar can burn or significantly dent Alolan Muk in return; if Muk is being used versus something it can deal with, it's generally safer to just focus on that threat

Team Options
========

*Alolan Muk greatly appreciates Eevee-S's functions, as it has the capability to heal its status conditions through Sparkly Swirl, burn some of its physical checks such as Dragonite and Mega Gyarados through Sizzly Slide, and even provide it with residual recovery by virtue of Sappy Seed. This holds true for Rest variants of Alolan Muk, as it is complimented by Eevee-S's support.
*Physically defensive foes such as Melmetal, Poliwrath, and Mega Venusaur can sponge powerful physical attacks for Alolan Muk, and can share the burden of sponging other special attacks from foes such as Mega Alakazam and Gengar if need be.
This all seems alright to me

Other Options

*Taunt can be utilized over Toxic to prevent recovery from foes such as Mew and Rest users like opposing Alolan Muk. However, Alolan Muk is too slow to utilize Taunt to the fullest capacity.
*Poison Jab can be utilized over Toxic as a means of poisoning the foe without having to worry without being Taunted, and also targets Fairy-types such as Clefable for super effective damage. However, the chance to poison the foe through Poison Jab is incredibly small compared to Toxic, where Toxic always hits the foe because of Alolan Muk's Poison typing. Regular Poison's lack of scaling also makes for a much worse Mew threat
*Self-Destruct can be used as a last ditch effort to remove problematic foes from the field such as Mega Charizard X or Zapdos, or heavily damage them to the point where setup sweepers such as Mega Alakazam and Mew can take advantage of them. However, Self-Destruct is very situational, and isn't as optimal to utilize when foes such as Mega Alakazam and Mega Gengar require Alolan Muk's presence in order to counter.

I don't really have much to add, except that for Poison Jab's OO option, it might be clearer to mention that it can only inflict regular poison instead of bad poisoning (I realize you imply that with the Mew mention, but people might not get that), Otherwise, Ezaphs basically covered everything I would have said, so QC Approved 3/3!

**Physical Attackers**: Powerful phsical attackers such as Mega Aerodactyl, Mega Beedrill, Mega Gyarados, and Melmetal severely threaten to OHKO or 2HKO Alolan Muk with their powerful physical attacks.

**Burns**: Foes that induce burns such as Eevee-S, Mew, and Poliwrath hamper Alolan Muk's physical attacks and chip away at its health. However, Alolan Muk can circumvent this status by utilizing Facade or return fire with its own Toxic.
