Scale Shot and Icicle Spear combined with Loaded Dice and a Swords Dance boost allow Baxcalibur to deal with a myriad of foes such as Quagsire and Corviknight. Scale Shot's +1 Speed boost also allows it to quickly outspeed and threaten normally faster threats like Sneasler and Iron Treads. Earthquake grants Baxcalibur coverage against walls it normally would struggle with, such as Toxapex and Heatran. Alolan Ninetales is perhaps Baxcalibur's strongest teammate, being able to set up snow to boost its teammates' Defense as well as Aurora Veil, thus improving significantly Baxcalibur's survivability, while also threatening Pelipper and Iron Defense Corviknight with Freeze-Dry and Encore, respectively. Alolan Sandslash can remove hazards with Rapid Spin while being able to threaten Hatterene and opposing Ghost-types. Chien-Pao is another strong teammate, being able to resist Kingambit's Sucker Punch while threatening it back with Sacred Sword, and it also threatens Air Balloon Gholdengo. Mamoswine is able to set up Stealth Rock to wear down incoming foes like Toxapex into OHKO range.
