Set Description
=========

With a Choice Band equipped, Urshifu-R turns into one of the best physical wallbreakers in the tier, always 2HKOing would-be checks such as physically defensive Clefable and Corviknight after Stealth Rock with Surging Strikes. The fact that it is a multi-hit move helps Urshifu-R break past occasional Substitute from Pokemon like Volcarona, while the guaranteed critical hit lets it bypass Defense boosts from Pokemon like Iron Defense Skarmory and Cosmic Power Mew. Unseen Fist prevents Protect Pokemon, such as Garchomp, Melmetal, and Heatran, from scouting it's moves. Between its two STAB moves, Urshifu-R can hit most of the metagame at least neutrally. For the few that these moves bounce off of, such as Toxapex, Dragonite, and Slowbro, it can easily pivot away from them with U-turn, dealing chip damage and generating momentum. It also provides an easy middle ground in situations where one would otherwise have to make an uncomfortable prediction. Aqua Jet is a strong priority move that can help its team deal with threatening sweepers, such as Volcarona, and other faster threats that are weak to it, such as Blacephalon and Sand Rush Excadrill, which can be especially useful on the offensive teams that Urshifu-R often finds itself on. Ice Punch functions as an excellent lure against what is typically one of its cleanest counters in Dragonite and also allows it to cleanly OHKO Dragapult and Garchomp. Choice Band generally increases the raw power of Urshifu-R significantly; for instance, Choice Band allows it to 2HKO Corviknight after Stealth Rock damage and always 2HKO physically defensive Clefable. Thunder Punch is an alternative that helps deal with bulky Water-types like Toxapex and Tapu Fini. A Jolly nature lets it outspeed important metagame staples such as Landorus-T, Rotom-W, and non-Choice Scarf Tapu Lele. An Adamant nature is a less common option for when even more power is desired. It affords Urshifu-R a chance to OHKO Volcanion and defensive Tornadus-T and guarantee a OHKO on Rotom-W.

Choice Band Urshifu-R typically requires using more prediction than the Protective Pads set, although you can often just repeatedly use U-turn to create momentum. Effects that punish contact moves, such as Rocky Helmet on Pokemon like Clefable and Buzzwole and Flame Body on Heatran or Volcarona, can be devastating to Choice Band Urshifu-R, particularly when it uses Surging Strikes. Especially on offensive teams, it can be used as a temporary check to Pokemon like Weavile and Heatran, but its mediocre bulk only allows it to check the aforementioned threats once or twice. Additionally, losing its Choice Band to a Weavile's Knock Off can be a major hindrance in its task of breaking through the opposing team. If it is running Thunder Punch, it is generally used as either a middle ground against teams relying on defensive cores, such as Tapu Fini and Corviknight, or as a one-time lure on a bulky Water-type, such as Toxapex or Tapu Fini, due to the danger of staying in while locked into it.

Team Options
========

Typically, Choice Band Urshifu-R best fits on offensive teams that value its power over the longevity and stability offered by Protective Pads or the Speed offered by Choice Scarf. Offensive teams also often benefit from the ability to use Urshifu-R as a temporary check to Heatran and Weavile, which can be difficult to consistently answer on such teams. Entry hazards like Stealth Rock are very important for Urshifu-R, as they help immensely in wearing down its checks, such as Tapu Fini and Buzzwole, as it switches out with U-turn. Some of Choice Band Urshifu-R's most potent pairings are with powerful wallbreakers, like Tapu Lele, Melmetal, and Nidoking, that can abuse its checks such as Clefable and Tapu Fini. Similarly, Nasty Plot Galarian Slowking is a great partner due to being able to punish Toxapex as well as Fairy-type checks. Rain support from Pelipper can make Urshifu-R's Surging Strikes even more potent. Under rain, it can OHKO physically defensive Clefable and Corviknight, as well as 2HKO Tapu Fini with Surging Strikes after Stealth Rock. Future Sight support from the likes of Slowbro, Assault Vest Galarian Slowking, and Tapu Lele can help Urshifu-R break through Toxapex and Buzzwole.

Surging Strikes is a powerful STAB move for Urshifu-R that lets it obliterate Pokemon such as Landorus-Therian. The fact that it is a multi-hit move can help break past focus sashes and substitutes, add examples of Pokemon that use sash and sub while it always critting lets it bypass defense boosts. add examples of pokemon that boost defense Close Combat is a very strong STAB move that in particular helps entirely remove steels such as Ferrothorn and Melmetal. Between these two STAB moves, Urshifu-R can hit much of the metagame at least neutrally. For the few that these moves bounce off of, such as Tapu Fini and Slowbro, U-Turn can easily pivot on them to generate chip damage and momentum. It also provides an easy midground in situations where one would otherwise have to make an uncomfortable prediction. Aqua Jet is a strong priority move that can help it's team deal with threatening sweepers such as Volcarona and other faster threats weak to it such as Blacephalon, which can be especially useful on the offenses that Urshifu-R often finds itself on. Ice Punch functions as an excellent lure to what is typically one of it's cleanest counters in Dragonite and also allows it to cleanly OHKO Dragapult and Garchomp. Ice Punch isn't on the set. Choice Band generally increases the raw power of Urshifu-R significantly, for instance allowing it to consistently 2HKO Corviknight and physically defensive Clefable. Consistently implies it has a roll to 2HKO them without band. Thunder Punch is an alternative that helps against Toxapex. Expand on Thunder Punch. A Jolly nature lets it outspeed important staples such as Landorus-Therian, Rotom-Wash, and non-Choice Scarf Tapu Lele letting it threaten them out.

Choice Band Urshifu-R typically calls for more prediction than the Protective Pads set, although you can often just spam U-Turn to create momentum. Effects that punish contact moves such as Rocky Helmet on Clefable, Flame Body on Heatran or Volcarona, and Zapdos's Static can be devastating to Choice Banded Urshifu-R, particularly when it uses Surging Strikes. Especially on offensive teams, it can be used as a temporary check to Pokemon such as Weavile and Heatran, but it lacks significant bulk and can only come in on them once or twice before being KOd. Additionally, losing it's choice band to a Weavile Knock Off can be a major hindrance in it's task of breaking the opposing team.

Tapu Koko is also a great partner, as it can bring in Pokemon like Landorus-Therian, Ferrothorn, and Blissey that Urshifu-R can abuse. On the other hand, Urshifu-R helps by bringing in bulky waters such as Tapu Fini, Toxapex, and Slowbro that Tapu Koko destroys. Together, they form a powerful momentum-gaining core. Rain support from Pelipper can make Urshifu-R's Surging Strikes even more potent. Add examples of notable 1 or 2hkos. Future Sight support from the likes of Slowbro, Assault Vest Slowking-Galar, and Tapu Lele can help Urshifu-R break through Toxapex and Buzzwole.

With a Choice Band equipped, Urshifu-R turns into one of the best physical wallbreakers in the tier, being able to always 2HKO would-be checks such as physically defensive Clefable and Corviknight after Stealth Rock with Surging Strikes, Surging Strikes is a powerful STAB move for Urshifu-R that lets it obliterates water-weak Pokemon such as Landorus-Therian, Heatran and Tyranitar. Besides putting the CB sentence near the end here, I added some extra details to fit what the rest of the sentence was going for, namely how Surging Strikes destroys Pokemon weak to it. The fact that it is a multi-hit move can help helps Urshifu-R break past occasional Focus Sashes and Substitutes, while it always critting the 100% crit chance lets it bypass defense boosts from Pokemon such as Iron Defense Skarmory. Close Combat is a very strong its strongest STAB move that in particular helps entirely removes steels such as Ferrothorn and Melmetal. Might not be part of QC, but the original sentence felt very cluttered. Thunder Punch is an alternative that helps deal with Toxapex and other bulky waters such as Tapu Fini bulky waters such as Toxapex and Tapu Fini while being an excellent midground against teams that rely on using the aforementioned Water-types alongside Flying-types such as Corviknight and Tornadus-Therian to check Urshifu-R. Ice Punch functions as an excellent lure to what is typically one of it's cleanest counters in Dragonite and also allows it to cleanly OHKO Dragapult and Garchomp. Choice Band generally increases the raw power of Urshifu-R significantly, for instance allowing it to 2HKO Corviknight after rocks and always 2HKO physically defensive Clefable. A Jolly nature lets it outspeed important metagame staples such as Landorus-T, Rotom-W, and non-Choice Scarf Tapu Lele letting it threaten them out.

Additionally, losing it's its basic enough to justify a QC edit I think, please double-check your grammar before submitting even though we have GPs cleaning up choice band to a Weavile Knock Off can be a major hindrance in it's its Ditto task of breaking through the opposing team.

Tapu Koko is also a great partner, as it can bring in Pokemon like Landorus-T, Ferrothorn, and Blissey that Urshifu-R can abuse while powering up Urshifu-R's Thunder Punch so the latter can cleanly break through bulky waters such as Slowbro and Toxapex. On the other hand, Urshifu-R helps by bringing lures in bulky waters such as Tapu Fini, Toxapex, and Slowbro that Tapu Koko destroys. Together, they form a powerful momentum-gaining core. For instance, Urshifu-R under rain can OHKO physically defensive Clefable and Corviknight as well as 2HKO Tapu Fini with Surging Strikes after Stealth Rock it allows it to have favourable rolls to OHKO Pokemon such as physically defensive Clefable and Corviknight after rocks, and to 2HKO Tapu Fini after rocks. Set Description
=========

With a Choice Band equipped, Urshifu-R turns into one of the best physical wallbreakers in the tier, being able to always 2HKOing would-be checks such as physically defensive Clefable and Corviknight after Stealth Rock with Surging Strikes. The fact that it is a multi-hit move helps Urshifu-R break past occasional Substitutes Substitute from Pokemon like Volcarona, while the guaranteed critical hit chance lets it bypass Defense boosts from Pokemon such as like Iron Defense Skarmory and Cosmic Power Mew. Unseen Fist prevents Protect Pokemon, (ac) such as Garchomp, Melmetal, and Heatran, (ac) from scouting it's moves. Between it's its two STAB moves, Urshifu-R can hit most of the metagame at least neutrally. For the few that these moves bounce off of, such as Toxapex, Dragonite, and Slowbro, it can easily pivot on away from them with U-turn, (ac) to dealing chip damage and generate generating momentum. It also provides an easy middle ground in situations where one would otherwise have to make an uncomfortable prediction. Aqua Jet is a strong priority move that can help its team deal with threatening sweepers, (ac) such as Volcarona, (ac) and other faster threats that are weak to it, (ac) such as Blacephalon and Sand Rush Excadrill, which can be especially useful on the offenses offensive teams that Urshifu-R often finds itself on. Ice Punch functions as an excellent lure against what is typically one of its cleanest counters in Dragonite and also allows it to cleanly OHKO Dragapult and Garchomp. Choice Band generally increases the raw power of Urshifu-R significantly; for instance, allowing Choice Band allows it to 2HKO Corviknight after Stealth Rock damage and always 2HKO physically defensive Clefable. Thunder Punch is an alternative that helps deal with bulky Water-types such as like Toxapex and Tapu Fini. A Jolly nature lets it outspeed important metagame staples such as Landorus-T, Rotom-W, and non-Choice Scarf Tapu Lele. An Adamant nature is a less common option for if when even more power is desired. For instance, it allows you to have a roll to It affords Urshifu-R a chance to OHKO Volcanion and defensive Tornadus-T and guarantee a OHKO on Rotom-Wash.

Choice Band Urshifu-R typically calls for requires using more prediction than the Protective Pads set, although you can often just spam repeatedly use U-turn to create momentum. Effects that punish contact moves, (ac) such as Rocky Helmet on Pokemon like Clefable and Buzzwole and Flame Body on Heatran or Volcarona, (ac) can be devastating to Choice Band Urshifu-R, particularly when it uses Surging Strikes. Especially on offensive teams, it can be used as a temporary check to Pokemon such as like Weavile and Heatran, but its mediocre bulk only allows it to check the aforementioned threats once or twice. Additionally, losing its Choice Band to a Weavile's Knock Off can be a major hindrance in its task of breaking through the opposing team. If it is running Thunder Punch, it is generally used as either a middle ground versus against teams relying on defensive cores, (ac) such as Tapu Fini and Corviknight, (ac) or as a one-time lure on a bulky Water-type, (ac) such as Toxapex or Tapu Fini, (ac) due to the danger of staying in while locked into it.

Team Options
========

Entry hazards such as like Stealth Rock are very important for Urshifu-R, as they help immensely in wearing down its checks, (ac) such as Tapu Fini and Buzzwole, (ac) as it switches out with U-turn. Some of Choice Band Urshifu-R's most potent pairings are with powerful wallbreakers, (ac) such as like Tapu Lele, Melmetal, and Nidoking, (ac) that can abuse its checks such as Clefable and Tapu Fini. Similarly, Nasty Plot Galarian Slowking is a great partner due to being able to punish Toxapex as well as these Fairy-type checks. Rain support from Pelipper can make Urshifu-R's Surging Strikes even more potent. For instance, Under rain, (ac) it can OHKO physically defensive Clefable and Corviknight, (ac) as well as 2HKO Tapu Fini with Surging Strikes after Stealth Rock. Future Sight support from the likes of Slowbro, Assault Vest Galarian Slowking, and Tapu Lele can help Urshifu-R break through Toxapex and Buzzwole.
