UU Choice Scarf Hydreigon (QC 1/1 GP 1/1)

Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- U-turn

Hydreigon is a great Choice Scarf user on offense teams because of its typing and power. U-turn allows it to gain momentum on the targets that it forces out, like Starmie and Kyurem, and also allows it to form a VoltTurn core with Pokemon like Mega Manectric and Scizor. Hydreigon can forgo Fire Blast to act as a last-minute Defogger on teams that need the role compression. Levitate gives Hydreigon a crucial immunity to Spikes and Toxic Spikes and lets it easily come in Krookodile and Hippowdon and gain momentum. Additionally, Hydreigon appreciates Fighting-type teammates that can deal with bulky foes that it struggles against in Umbreon, Blissey, and Porygon2. Hydreigon's so-so Speed tier puts it below other common Choice Scarf users, like Infernape and Latias, but this can be fixed with teammates that wall these Pokemon, like Tentacruel and Sylveon. Its lack of a boosting item on this particular set also makes it harder to break through Pokemon such as Alolan Muk, Azumarill, and Nihilego, but entry hazard setters and wallbreakers like Gliscor and Heracross can make for amazing teammates, as they can break through bulky defensive Pokemon.

"Hydreigon is a great Choice Scarf user because of its solid power, great offensive typing and coverage moves, useful resistances, and access to U-turn, which allows it to gain momentum on the targets that it forces out, like Starmie and Kyurem." - this sentence is sort of run-on and a lot to take in. I'd find a way to separate it into two sentences.

Expand on Levitate's utility a little. Talk about how it allows Hydreigon to come in on stuff like Krookodile and Hippowdon in order to either generate momentum or fire off attacks.

I'd also add when talking about this set's drawbacks that Hydreigon's decreased power without a boosting item leaves it more easily taken on by Pokemon like Alolan Muk, Nihilego, and Azumarill.

This looks good otherwise, QC 1/1

Hydreigon is a great Choice Scarf user on offensive offense teams because of its typing and power. Additionally, it has access to U-turn, which allows it to gain momentum on the targets that it forces out, like Starmie and Kyurem. Another good move than can be run over Fire Blast is Defog, as Hydreigon can allowing Hydreigon to act as a last-minute Defogger on offensive (implied by the mention in the first sentence) teams that need the role compression. Levitate is also a great ability, giving Hydreigon a crucial immunity to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, as well as all Ground-type moves from the likes of (subjective) Krookodile and Hippowdon, which means that it can easily come in on them and gain momentum. Hydreigon also loves having other Volt Switch and U-turn users like Mega Manectric and Scizor as teammates because it, (RC) which can form a VoltTurn core with it them to gain momentum and wear down defensive threats. Additionally, Hydregion appreciates Fighting-type teammates that can deal with bulky foes that it struggles against in (or something like this; give reason as to why it likes Fighting-types as teammates) Umbreon, Blissey, and Porygon2. However, Hydreigon's so-so Speed tier puts it below other common Choice Scarf users, like Infernape and Latias. Additionally, its offensive typing leaves it walled by Sylveon, Mega Altaria, and Blissey, (RC) all of which it can not break through (implied by "walled'). Its lack of a boosting item also makes it harder to break through Pokemon such as Alolan Muk, Azumarill, and Nihilego. Despite this, Hydreigon still shines as a fantastic Choice Scarf user on offensive teams and is almost always a good pick.

hey Nuked ! i'm getting this ready for scheduling but it's quite a bit over the word limit + comes off as a bit unconnected right now. are there more big-picture things (like its effect on the metagame or how to use the set in battle) you can think of for Hydreigon rather than "this move does this, this ability does this"?
here are some suggestions on how to cut down on text:

Additionally, it has access to U-turn, which allows it to gain momentum on the targets that it forces out, like Starmie and Kyurem.
"Access to" is almost always removable.
Another good move that can be run over Fire Blast is Defog, allowing Hydreigon can forgo Fire Blast to act as a last-minute Defogger on teams that need the role compression.
Says the same thing in fewer words.
Levitate is also a great ability, giving gives Hydreigon a crucial immunity to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, as well as all Ground-type moves from Krookodile and Hippowdon, which means that it can and lets it easily come in on them Krookodile and Hippowdon and gain momentum.
You can assume that our readers know what Levitate does.
Hydreigon also loves having other Volt Switch and U-turn users like Mega Manectric and Scizor as teammates because it can form a VoltTurn core with them Pokemon like Mega Manectric and Scizor to gain momentum and wear down defensive threats.
Says the same thing in fewer words. Also, you've been talking about momentum a lot, so maybe that's something you can connect these sentences with to have it flow better?
However, Hydreigon's so-so Speed tier puts it below other common Choice Scarf users, like Infernape and Latias. Additionally, its offensive typing leaves it walled by Sylveon, Mega Altaria, and Blissey. Its lack of a boosting item also makes it harder to break through Pokemon such as Alolan Muk, Azumarill, and Nihilego.
From the intro to set spotlights: If you end your writeup by listing all of the things this Pokemon struggles with, I will think "oh damn this mon sucks, guess I won't use it on my team". TELL PEOPLE HOW TO ADDRESS THESE FLAWS. This can range from "use this teammate" to "keep an eye out for this foe".
My ideal set spotlight does not have a sentence about flaws and a sentence about teammates but instead connects the ideas in an informative way. The teammates should resolve the flaws. "Hydreigon's so-so Speed tier puts it below other common Choice Scarf users, like Infernape and Latias, but [you can support it by doing this]". If there's actually nothing that can be done about its flaws, you could just tell them to keep them in mind (or just don't mention all of them lol).
Despite this, Hydreigon still shines as a fantastic Choice Scarf user on offensive teams and is almost always a good pick.
This is a repeat of the first sentence and conclusion sentences aren't needed anyway; from the intro to set spotlights: Similarly, there is zero need for a conclusion sentence reminding people that this Pokemon is excellent. If it wasn't, why would we bother writing a spotlight about it.

This might be a lot but I think this can be a great spotlight so let's do what we can to improve it!
