Calm Mind turns Clefable into a strong setup sweeper that can muscle past most Defoggers. Clefable is especially notable as a setup sweeper because it isn't worn down by Toxic poison, which is often used to deter other sweepers. Moonblast lets Clefable efficiently deal with Fighting- and Dragon-types such as Mega Medicham, Mega Lopunny, and most Zygarde variants. Soft-Boiled allows Clefable to stay healthy throughout the match to consistently switch into Pokemon such as Mega Lopunny and Zygarde. Stealth Rock provides excellent team support and is especially notable with Calm Mind, as Clefable can force out Mega Sableye so it can usually set Stealth Rock up against it thanks to Calm Mind letting Clefable muscle past Mega Sableye. Ice Beam does greater damage to Zygarde and lets Clefable more easily muscle past Gliscor. Thunder Wave lets Clefable cripple switch-ins by halving their Speed. It can also generate free turns, which makes it easier for Clefable to set up with Calm Mind. Flamethrower, when coupled with Calm Mind, lets Clefable get past its most common checks, Steel-types. Knock Off lets Clefable punish switch-ins and removes important items such as Leftovers from Heatran, Celesteela, and Ferrothorn. Thunder is another option that deals more damage to Celesteela and lets Clefable take on Heatran and Toxapex much more easily.

Set Details
========

Maximum HP and Defense investment with a Bold nature is necessary to minimize the chance of getting 2HKOed by Choice Band Thousand Arrows from Zygarde and let Clefable take on Mega Lopunny and Hawlucha. 12 Speed EVs should be run with Thunder Wave to outspeed unboosted paralyzed Tapu Lele. Magic Guard grants Clefable an immunity to passive damage like Toxic poison and entry hazard damage. Leftovers provides Clefable with passive recovery, letting it switch into moves such as Choice Band-boosted Thousand Arrows from Zygarde more frequently.

Usage Tips
========

Use Clefable to switch into and defeat various threats, such as Zygarde, Hawlucha, and Mega Lopunny. However, be wary of Iron Tail Zygarde variants, as they can muscle past Clefable. Clefable can use Calm Mind to punish switches and facilitate a sweep. Don't immediately use Stealth Rock against Mega Sableye if it is led off with, as it will most likely Mega Evolve and use Protect to guarantee Magic Bounce. Instead, try to punish Mega Sableye by using Calm Mind, as this will force it out and thus makes it easier to get up Stealth Rock. Try to use Thunder Wave or Knock Off as much as possible to cripple switch-ins such as Heatran and Celesteela to make it easier for Clefable to set up and sweep late-game. Make sure Steel-types such as Heatran, Celesteela, and Mega Scizor have been taken care of before attempting to set up with Calm Mind. Don't reveal Flamethrower if it is being run until Steel-types such as Celesteela and Mega Scizor feel comfortable switching into Clefable. Constantly use Soft-Boiled with Clefable, as it will struggle to switch into Pokemon it is supposed to check, such as Zygarde, Hawlucha, and Mega Lopunny, if it isn't at full health.

Team Options
========

Wallbreakers such as Mega Medicham, Zygarde, and Mega Mawile appreciate Clefable's ability to set up Stealth Rock to more easily plow through the opposing team. They also appreciate Thunder Wave support from Clefable. Clefable struggles with Steel-types if it's not running Flamethrower, which makes Heatran and Magnezone great partners, as they can effectively pressure Steel-types throughout the course of a match. Heatran can also set up Stealth Rock and allow Clefable to run other moves such as Thunder Wave and Ice Beam. However, Clefable can also set up Stealth Rock against stall for Heatran, as it beats Mega Sableye, which allows Heatran to run Toxic or other coverage moves freely. Heatran is one of the best checks to Clefable, so having a check to it is very important; Pokemon such as Gastrodon and Gliscor excel at this role. Zapdos punishes Steel-types such as Kartana, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela that may try to switch into Clefable. Ferrothorn can set up Spikes to wear down Heatran and deal with Tapu Koko. Ferrothorn also appreciates the fact that Clefable can punish Zapdos with Calm Mind. Tangrowth checks Tapu Koko and has a better matchup against Heatran thanks to its access to Earthquake. Celesteela can deal with special attackers that Clefable struggles against, such as Tapu Lele and Magearna.

Only minor stuff

* Don't use Flamethrower until Steel-types such as Celesteela and Mega Scizor feel comfortable switching into Clefable.
Change to "Don't reveal Flamethrower if you are running it until..."

* Clefable struggles with Steel-types, if it's not running Flamethrower, which makes Heatran and Magnezone great partners, as they can efficiently pressure Steel-types throughout the course of a match.
* Heatran is one of the best checks to Clefable, so having a check to it is very important. Pokemon such as Gastrodon and Gliscor excel at this role.
* Heatran can also setup Stealth Rock and thus allows Clefable to run other moves such as Thunder Wave and Ice Beam.
Reorder the second and third heatran lines, you start w/ talking about heatran as a partner, switch to opposing heatran, then go back to heatran as a partner which is a bit confusing

Real nice work, qc 1/3

  • Name the set Calm Mind and make Calm Mind move #1. I also think you should make the current move #2 slot become the last slot.

  • For Heatran's part, say how it can also appreciate Clefable muscling past Mega Sableye and setting up Stealth Rock to ease the Stall matchup considerably.
Outstanding work! 2/3

Hi Nuked! I see that you have a good understanding of English conventions, and many of your changes were great, especially in the last two paragraphs. There wasn't that much material where I can tell you to focus on one particular thing grammar-wise, so I suggest to keep practicing. However, one thing I noticed was that you included a lot of subjective changes, which I addressed in the check. Remember, GP wants to retain the author's voice, so if the original wording is fine as is, then it's best not to change it. Also a couple of edits weren't bolded so make sure to bold everything. You can PM me if you have any questions, and I hope to see more checks from you in the future!

although i hate it, you should slide in a thunder mention (probably over twave) because it aids in beating heatran and toxapex more easily, while also making it harder for celes to come in and just slam over and over, i can provide an example of a wcop game where thunder clef completely skewed the mu in the clef users favour because the celes was able to check ft/tbolt clef, but not thunder clef.

Leftovers provides Clefable with passive recovery, letting it switch into moves such as Choice Band-boosted Thousand Arrows from Zygarde more frequently.

Usage Tips
========

Don't immediately use Stealth Rock against Mega Sableye if it is lead off with, as it will most likely Mega Evolve and use Protect to guarantee Magic Bounce.

========
