Dragapult @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Draco Meteor
- U-turn
- Flamethrower / Thunderbolt

Dragapult's blistering Speed tier and spammable STAB Shadow Ball make it one of the most potent wallbreakers in OU. It can pivot out against the few Ghost-resistant Pokemon and specially defensive walls like Mandibuzz, Blissey, and Tyranitar with U-turn, gaining momentum for offensive teammates. Aside from its excellent offensive STAB options, Dragapult also has unmatched special coverage. While Flamethrower targets Steel-types like Scizor, Ferrothorn, and Melmetal, Thunderbolt is able to finish off weakened Mandibuzz, Tapu Fini, and Toxapex. Dragapult is most often seen on bulky offensive teams, as it benefits its teammates as a form of speed control, wallbreaker, and pivot. Heatran is great for Dragapult, as it traps and eliminates its most common checks in Toxapex and Blissey and is able to set up Stealth Rock, further weakening Steel-types for it. Urshifu-R can help generate momentum for Dragapult with U-turn while pressuring Blissey and Tyranitar, while Dragapult can punish Slowbro and revenge killers like Kartana. Dragapult is often paired with other Dragon-types like Kyurem and Hydreigon because of their ability to overload shared specially defensive checks.

Dragapult's blistering Speed tier and spammable Ghost STAB in Shadow Ball STAB combination make it one of the best wallbreakers and cleaners in OU. i don't think you should just mention its ghost stab since that downplays the effectiveness of its dual stab, its stab combination in general is ridiculous and there's a lack of pokemon that want to switch into either of its stab moves It can pivot out of the few Ghost resists or specially defensive walls like Mandibuzz, Blissey, and Tyranitar with U-turn, gaining momentum into other wallbreaking teammates. Aside from its excellent offensive STABs from its typing, Dragapult also has unmatched special coverage. i don't think its necessary to emphasize its coverage when it doesn't use all of it outside of a small pool of moves While Flamethrower targets Steel-types like Scizor, Ferrothorn, and Melmetal, Thunderbolt is able to finish off weakened Mandibuzz, Tapu Fini, and Toxapex specifically. Dragapult is most often seen on bulky offensive teams, where its offensive utility as a form of speed control and ability to both wallbreak and pivot let it benefit its teammates effectively. i think it's worth expanding on this point, talk about what teammates benefit from its presence Heatran can help enable Dragapult offensively by trapping and eliminating its most common checks in Toxapex and Blissey, and is able to set up Stealth Rock, further weakening Steel-types for Dragapult. It is often paired with other Dragon-types, like Kyurem and Hydreigon, because of their ability to overload shared specially defensive checks. such as?

urshifu-r is super important to mention here imo, it completely dismantles blissey and ttar, overpowers clef especially if its spdef while pult can overwhelm / revenge kill stuff like slowbro and kartana
lmk if this gets over the character limit.

Might be slightly over the character limit with my additions, but it should be fine
