Grimmsnarl serves as the premier screen setter on Hyper Offense teams due to its ability Prankster and access to Taunt which crucially denies entry hazards from many common leads, as well as blocking opposing attempts to taunt you or remove your screens. Foul Play is the optimal attack for Grimmsnarl as it requires no Attack EV investment to function, allowing you to OHKO several Swords dance mons that try to take advantage of your passiveness and setup while they are at +2 such as Ogerpon Wellspring and offensive Garchomp. Thunder Wave is also an option to cripple fast threats and Parting Shot is sometimes used to pivot and to force out Mega Diancie. Tera Steel is the best option for Grimmsnarl allowing it to resist Steel and Fairy attacks from Tapu Lele, Mega Scizor and Iron Valiant, although using terastalization is typically not ideal. 140 Special Defense EVs allow Grimmsnarl to live two Moonblasts from Choice Scarf Tapu Lele behind light screen while the rest of its EVs are dumped into Defense as most priority moves that can outspeed your Prankster screens are physical such as Fake Out from Mega Lopunny and Mega Medicham, with Bullet Punch from the latter occasionally . Teammates that benefit from Grimmsnarl's utility are mainly setup sweepers that can blow through most teams if allowed multiple turns of setup such as Iron Crown, Mega Gyarados, Gouging Fire, Volcarona and Dragonite, hard hitting wallbreakers such as Ursaluna, and Mega Mawile that can 1v1 almost anything with screens up. Strong Fairy-type attackers such as Choice Specs Iron Valiant and Tapu Lele can often leave Grimmsnarl severely chipped despite Light Screen, hurting its ability to set screens later on in the game. Additionally, hazard setters who ignore Taunt such as Mega Diancie and Mega Tyranitar give Grimmsnarl and the Hyper Offense teams its found on trouble. Teammates like Iron Crown and Mega Mawile can turn these offensive Fairy-types into setup fodder, while teammates such as Urshifu-R and Zamazenta can turn Mega Tyranitar and other Dark-types capable, like Weavile and Hisuian Samurott, capable of ignoring Prankster into setup fodder

Grimmsnarl serves as the premier screen setter on Hyper Offense teams due to its ability Prankster and access to Taunt. Prankster providing its status moves with +1 priority allow it to invest maximum EVs into its bulk rather than needing to invest in speed like most other screens setters and also allows it to setup screens later in the game against speed boosted threats. (I think prankster providing prior is just dex info. if you want to specify that grim is bulkier than other screen setters, feel free to reword this sentence) Tera Steel is the best option for Grimmsnarl as it either resists or is immune to any type that would damage Grimmsnarl super effectively. (just specify that you resist steel and fairy now. maybe also say it doesn't click tera often) 140 Special Defense EVs allow Grimmsnarl to live two Moonblasts from Choice Scarf Tapu Lele while the rest of our EVs are dumped into physical bulk as most priority moves that can outspeed your Prankster screens are physical.(the usual order we go through this is moves -> tera -> evs) Foul play is the optimal attack for Grimmsnarl as it is a high power STAB move and requires no Attack EV investment to function, allowing you to OHKO several Swords dance mons that try to take advantage of your passiveness and setup while they are at +2 such as Ogerpon Wellspring and offensive Garchomp. (i wont mind chunking this out since technically it's stab and you dont need to talk about stab) Teammates that benefit from Grimmsnarl's utility are mainly setup sweepers that can blow through most teams if allowed multiple turns of setup such as Mega Gyarados, Gouging Fire, Volcarona and Dragonite, hard hitting wallbreakers such as Ursaluna, Iron Hands and Mega Mawile that can 1v1 almost anything with screens up and Stored Power users that can now set up multiple Calm Minds and have the added bulk to live super effective hits and possibly activate a Weakness Policy such as Mew, Iron Crown, Hatterene, Latias and Cresselia. Pokemon that give Grimmsnarl problems are strong Fairy attackers such as Choice Specs Iron Valiant and Tapu lele or Mega Diancie, defoggers that can 1v1 you such as Mega Scizor and Knock Off users especially ones with Dark typing making them immune to your Prankster Taunt such as Mega Tyranitar, Weavile and Hisuian Samurott. Good teammates to fix these matchups are strong Fighting types such as Urshifu Rapid Strike, Iron Hands or even Swords Dance Rillaboom which matches up well into all the Dark types and Fairy Resistances such as Pecharunt, Iron Crown, Volcarona and Mega Scizor.

- Foul Play im not a grimmsnarl expert but I always felt like parting shot and/or twave are also annoying options in this slot

Grimmsnarl serves as the premier screen setter on Hyper Offense teams due to its ability Prankster and access to Taunt. Prankster allows Grimmsnarl to be bulkier than other screens setters by not needing to invest speed evs and allows it to set screens against speed boosted threats. filler, you should describe taunt in further detail here as well as twave/pshot (if you add the latter 2) Tera Steel is the best option for Grimmsnarl allowing it to resist Steel and Fairy from who?, although using terastalization is uncommon typically not ideal. Foul play is the optimal attack for Grimmsnarl as it requires no Attack EV investment to function, allowing you to OHKO several Swords dance mons that try to take advantage of your passiveness and setup while they are at +2 such as Ogerpon Wellspring and offensive Garchomp. this line should be moved to the 2nd line directly after your opening sentence 140 Special Defense EVs allow Grimmsnarl to live two Moonblasts from Choice Scarf Tapu Lele behind Light Screen while the rest of our its EVs are dumped into physical bulk Defense as most priority moves that can outspeed your Prankster screens are physical such as Fake Out from Mega Lopunny and Mega Medicham, with Bullet Punch from the latter occasionally. Teammates that benefit from Grimmsnarl's utility are mainly setup sweepers that can blow through most teams if allowed multiple turns of setup such as Mega Gyarados, Gouging Fire, Volcarona and Dragonite, hard hitting wallbreakers such as Ursaluna, Iron Hands and Mega Mawile that can 1v1 almost anything with screens up and Stored Power users that can now set up multiple Calm Minds and have the added bulk to live super effective hits and possibly activate a Weakness Policy such as Mew, Iron Crown, Hatterene, Latias and Cresselia. these cmers can be included in the setup sweepers section with mgyara, gouging (the only one id include is crown tho, the others are quite niche) Pokemon that give Grimmsnarl problems are strong Fairy attackers such as Choice Specs Iron Valiant and Tapu lele or Mega Diancie, defoggers that can 1v1 you such as Mega Scizor and Knock Off users especially ones with Dark typing making them immune to your Prankster Taunt such as Mega Tyranitar, Weavile and Hisuian Samurott.
