Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 128 SpD / 128 Spe
Calm Nature
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Taunt
- Toxic / Stealth Rock

Heatran is a devastating wallbreaker in the current OU metagame because of its potent combination of Magma Storm, Taunt, and Toxic that allows it to consistently overwhelm defensive cores and other Pokemon, making it near unwallable. Its defensive typing, nice defensive stats, and Flash Fire also let it check some key threats in the metagame, namely Tapu Koko and Volcarona. Stealth Rock can be a good option over Toxic, since Heatran can easily pressure common Defoggers, like Corviknight and Zapdos, with the threat of being trapped by Magma Storm. Dragapult can be very hard to deal with when paired with Heatran, since Heatran overloads their shared checks like Tapu Fini, Tyranitar, and Hippowdon over the course of a game, making Dragapult very hard to deal with late-game. Tapu Lele is another great example of this; Heatran can cripple their shared check in Slowking with Toxic and Taunt, making Tapu Lele very hard to deal with. Slowking is also a great partner for Heatran, since it can switch into bulky Water-types like Tapu Fini and offers it a free switch in with Teleport.

Heatran is a devastating wallbreaker in the current metagame. The because of its potent combination of Magma Storm, Taunt and Toxic that allows it to consistently overwhelm defensive cores and pokemon making it near unwallable. Its defensive typing and nice defensive stats also make it able to let it check some key threats in the meta, namely Dragapult Tapu Lele and Volcarona. tran can get overwhelmed very easily by repeated sballs Stealth Rock can be a good option over Toxic, which although makes it less unwallable but gives it good utility outside of stallbreaking. mention why tran is such a good rocker + reword this sentence to read better Heatran's ability to break through walls over the course of a game makes it a great partner for pokemon with shared checks; is this not true for every wallbreaker? Dragapult is a very good example of this since it can be very hard to deal with when paired with Heatran since Heatran absolutely ransacks overloads their shared checks like Tapu Fini, Tyranitar, and Hippowdon over the course of a game making Dragapult very hard to deal with late game. no need to use unnecessary flowery language if it takes away from the meaning of the statement Tapu Lele is another great example of this since Heatran and it can overwhelm their most common check in Slowking making Tapu Lele very hard to deal with once Heatran has crippled Slowking with its combination of Toxic and Taunt. Some defensive partners like Tangrowth can help against pokemon like Urshifu-R, and Garchomp. i would rather see something that fits on bulky offensive cores instead of a momentum sap like tangrowth that is restricted to balance/fatter stuff where heatran is less common. slowking/other waters fit fine here
lmk when implemented and ill look again

Its defensive typing and nice defensive stats also let it check some key threats in the meta, namely Dragapult and Volcarona. dk why volcarona is mentioned here if ur talking about defensive typing and stats. if u want to keep volc, then mention flash fire as well. i don't care what u slot in over pult, but pult should not be here as discussed earlier Stealth Rock can be a good option over Toxic since Heatran can easily pressure common defoggers, like Corviknight and Zapdos, with the threat of trapping with Magma Storm. Heatran's ability to break through walls over the course of a game makes it a great partner for pokemon with shared checks; unnecessary universal fact, you have already stated that heatran is a wallbreaker lol Dragapult is a very good example of this since it can be very hard to deal with when paired with Heatran since Heatran overloads their shared checks like Tapu Fini, Tyranitar, and Hippowdon over the course of a game making Dragapult very hard to deal with late game. Tapu Lele is another great example of this since Heatran and it can overwhelm their most common check in Slowking making Tapu Lele very hard to deal with once Heatran has crippled Slowking with its combination of Toxic and Taunt. Some defensive partners like Slowking are also great since it can switch into bulky Water-types like Tapu Fini and opposing Slowking that can trouble Heatran. elaborate on teleport giving safe switchins (which can often be hard for tran) + defensive synergy
1/1 when implemented
