Krilowatt

[OVERVIEW]

Krilowatt acts as a great late-game cleaner and pivot thanks to its wide neutral coverage, high bulk, and good Speed tier. It also sports a phenomenal ability in Magic Guard and has an absurdly high HP stat, allowing it to switch in and out of the battle often while keeping momentum with Volt Switch, which gives Krilowatt a way to pivot out of bulky Grass-types and special walls that want to switch in. Its solid base 105 Speed tier allows it to outpace threats such as Volkraken and Pajantom as well as Speed tie with Mega Pinsir, and its great defensive typing notably allows it to check Tomohawk and Tornadus-T as well as Choice Scarf Volkraken. However, despite its wide coverage, it is overly reliant on Life Orb to do sizable damage due to its relatively low Special Attack stat; because of this, it doesn't appreciate Knock Off. Finally, Krilowatt has no reliable recovery, meaning it can get easily worn down with powerful neutral hits.

Moves
========

Ice Beam targets prominent Ground-types such as Landorus-T, 2HKOes the likes of Pajantom, Necturna, and Tapu Bulu, and wears down Jumbao significantly. Thunderbolt guarantees Krilowatt an OHKO on Tornadus-T without Stealth Rock up and a 2HKO against specially defensive Celesteela and gives it a high chance to OHKO defensive Tomohawk and 2HKO specially defensive Arghonaut. Most notably, however, it drastically raises the chance of a 2HKO against standard Toxapex. However, Discharge is a great utility move to cripple faster offensive threats such as Mega Diancie and Choice Scarf Jumbao while still achieving many of the same KOs, notably still being able to OHKO or 2HKO common Water- and Flying-types such as Volkraken, Greninja, Naviathan, Mega Pinsir, Hawlucha, and Tomohawk. Earth Power is used to OHKO predicted switch-ins such as Mega Crucibelle and Tapu Koko after some prior damage.

Set Details
========

A Timid nature maximizes Krilowatt's Speed, allowing it to outspeed base 100s such as Mega Medicham as well as key threats such as Pajantom. In addition, it also allows Krilowatt to Speed tie with Mega Pinsir, which would otherwise be able to threaten Krilowatt with Earthquake.

Usage Tips
========

Krilowatt can be switched into status moves such as Toxic and Will-O-Wisp from Pokemon like Chansey, Toxapex, Celesteela, and Rotom-W thanks to Magic Guard. Krilowatt also has a notably good matchup against Celesteela thanks to its 4x resistance to Heavy Slam and immunity to Leech Seed. Volt Switch should be used early-game to lure in and pivot out of Krilowatt's checks such as Pyroak and Assault Vest Magearna. Prediction is essential when using Krilowatt, as its wide coverage allows it to hit Pokemon such as Tapu Koko, Colossoil, and Mega Crucibelle super effectively. Krilowatt can be used as a revenge killer by either coming in after a teammate was defeated or forcing out a heavy hitter like Choice Scarf Volkraken by taking a strong attack at full health and retaliating.

Team Options
========

Pokemon with Volt Switch or U-turn such as Magnezone, Landorus-T, Mega Scizor, and Mega Crucibelle complete a good VoltTurn core alongside Krilowatt, helping your team keep up momentum. Mega Crucibelle in particular appreciates Krilowatt's ability to pressure and force out opposing Landorus-T and can set up Stealth Rock in return. Mega Scizor and defensive Jumbao are both great partners that can switch into most Ground-types that threaten Krilowatt out and appreciate Krilowatt's capability to take on most Fire-types. Defensive Jumbao can also provide Wish support, allowing Krilowatt to switch into more attacks. Flying-types such as Celesteela, Tomohawk, and Mega Pinsir are great partners for Krilowatt, as they can take the Grass- and Ground-type attacks that Krilowatt fears. Mega Pinsir, Tornadus-T, and offensive variants of Tomohawk can also help on offensive teams by weakening opposing Grass-types. Entry hazard setters such as Smokomodo and Mega Crucibelle help Krilowatt achieve certain KOs against foes such as Volkraken, Tapu Koko, Cawmodore, and Flame Orb Colossoil. However, Krilowatt especially benefits from Spikes support from Pokemon like Syclant, Ash-Greninja, and Greninja, as Spikes can consistently wear down switch ins like Jumbao, potentially allowing Krilowatt to overwhelm them. Physical wallbreakers such as Kyurem-B and Pajantom can take down special tanks like Assault Vest Magearna and defensive Jumbao, allowing Krilowatt to clean up late-game. Due to Krilowatt's inability to threaten stall teams, stallbreakers such as Tapu Lele and Smokomodo are perfect partners to deal with them. Krilowatt is also a fairly good pivot and status absorber, helping these Pokemon get in late-game and start setting up.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Surf and Scald are both options for a Water-type STAB move, since Surf has enough power to 2HKO Assault Vest Colossoil, while Scald can spread burns, but they're hard to justify over other coverage options that Krilowatt has access to. Hidden Power Grass allows Krilowatt to lure in and 2HKO Gastrodon, a hard stop to VoltTurn teams, while Hidden Power Fire lets Krilowatt 2HKO Cawmodore after Stealth Rock, as well as Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor, all of which take little damage from anything else on the main set.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Grass-types**: Bulky Grass-types such as Pyroak, Mega Venusaur, Ferrothorn, Assault Vest Tangrowth, defensive Jumbao, and Tapu Bulu can all take Ice Beam from Krilowatt and threaten it out with their Grass-type STAB moves. The majority of these Pokemon allow Krilowatt to safely pivot out except Jumbao, which outspeeds Krilowatt when running Choice Scarf. It's only safe to Volt Switch on a predicted switch or if you're certain they are running a bulky variant. Additionally, a healthy Necturna can set up with Shell Smash or Shift Gear against Krilowatt.

**Chansey**: Chansey can wall Krilowatt and heal off the damage or set up Stealth Rock and wear down Krilowatt with Seismic Toss.

**Ground-types**: Ground-type Pokemon such as Colossoil and Landorus-T can all threaten Krilowatt with their super effective STAB attacks — however, they have a hard time switching in directly due to Ice Beam. Gastrodon walls Krilowatt, but it must be wary of the rare Hidden Power Grass.

**Faster Attackers**: Faster attackers such as Mega Alakazam, Syclant, Ash-Greninja, Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, Mega Latios, and Mega Crucibelle can pick off Krilowatt by virtue of their good offenses and coverage, but Krilowatt can tank some of their moves if it is at high health.

**Bulky Attackers**: Bulky attackers such as Kyurem-B, Revenankh, Assault Vest Slowking, Mega Tyranitar, and Assault Vest Magearna can all shrug off anything Krilowatt uses and hit it back hard or pivot out.

Why Surf instead of Scald?
Kril's Special Attack is so low that Surf's extra BP actually makes a big difference. It's most notable against Colossoil (160 SpD AV and Flame Orb).

That said, I think Volt Switch should be slashed with Surf; while Surf hits lots of threats neutrally, Electric / Ice / Ground / pivot is a potent moveset as well. Not sure about slashing vswitch with Earth Power either, but Electric / Ice / Water / pivot is good too

[OVERVIEW]

  • Krilowatt is blessed with amazing coverage, which allows it to hit most of the metagame for respectable damage. Maybe elaborate on this point more. What's so good about its coverage? (BoltBeam / Ice+Ground / Water being a good type to spam etc.)
  • It also has a phenomenal ability in Magic Guard, which prevents Life Orb recoil, as well as making it immune to hazards. and toxic, which would whittle it down, but it doesn't
  • It has great HP "great" seems like an understatement, but it's your dction, allowing it to switch in and out of the battle often, while keeping momentum with Volt Switch.
  • It sits at a solid 105 Speed tier, allowing it to outpace threats such as Colossoil and Mega Pinsir, and hit them hard thanks to its great coverage. Mega Pinsir speed ties, make this correction. Cite Garchomp, Mega Charizard, and Plasmanta as well
  • However, Krilowatt has middling bulk outside of it's high HP, meaning that it can faint to most non-neutral hits. This shouldn't be a negative. It's phenomenal bulk should definitely be a positive. Recovery is its issue, which you address later.
  • Its Special Attack isn't that great, meaning that bulky Pokemon such as Chansey and Pyroak take nothing from it's attacks. I see where you're getting at here, but it sounds misleading. It's more that despite its good damage output, it can't adequately break walls or tank Pokemon that it can't hit super effectively
  • Additionally, it's overly reliant on Life Orb to do sizeable damage, meaning that it doesn't appreciate Knock Off.
  • Finally, it has no reliable recovery outside of Rest, meaning it can get easily worn down. with powerful hits

Moves
========

  • Thunderbolt hits Water- and Flying-types such as Volkraken and Tomohawk for sizeable damage. what is "sizable damage?"
  • Ice Beam hits Ground- and Dragon-types such as Landorus-T and Garchomp for good damage, OHKOing both of them. hits some Grass-types too like Tapu Bulu and Necturna
  • Earth Power is a great option to OHKO predicted switches into Pokemon such as Crucibelle and Mollux. Cite Mega Crucibelle first. Talk about how Earth Power hits important Water-type immune Pokemon like Plasmanta and Mollux.
It might be good to talk about how Krilowatt completes BoltBeam and potent Ice/Ground coverage as well.
  • Volt Switch allows Krilowatt to regain momentum for the team. which capitalizes on Krilowatt's common counters
  • However, Surf is Krilowatt's most reliable Water-type STAB move, hitting Ground-types such as Colossoil for solid damage.
Mention Scald and Discharge in moves, as Krilowatt can pull these off pretty well. They'd be used over Surf and Thunderbolt, respectively.

Set Details
========

  • 252 Speed EVs along with a Timid nature maximize Krilowatt's Speed, allowing it to outspeed key threats such as Landorus-T and Zygarde. yes, but you're missing the right speed ceiling. It sounds like you're describing how Krilowatt has Base 96 Speed. Talk about how it outspeeds Garchomp, base 100s (v important), and ties with Mega Pinsir
  • 252 Special Attack EVs boosts Krilowatt's offensive presence while still maintaining a Timid nature.
  • Magic Guard nullifies Life Orb recoil and allows Krilowatt to avoid hazards, as well as being a good status absorber as it becomes immune to poison and burn.
  • Life Orb boosts Krilowatt's offensive power. merge the special attack investment point and this one, saying that it lets Krilowatt hit has hard as it can. make sure it's before the magic guard point

Usage Tips
========

  • Krilowatt can be switched into status moves such as Toxic and Thunder Wave thanks to Magic Guard, which allows it to be a great status absorber.
  • Prediction is essential when using Krilowatt, as it's wide coverage allows it to hit Pokemon on the switch such as Mollux, Colossoil, and Landorus-T.
  • Krilowatt can be used as a revenge killer, as well as a late-game cleaner once all of it's checks are weakened.
This section is lacking. When can Krilowatt switch in? Should Krilowatt be careful of what moves it use and why? A point about how Volt Switch should be used early-game to lure in and pivot out of Krilowatt's counters is something that definitely be here.

Team Options
========

  • Pokemon with Volt Switch or U-Turn such as Landorus-T and Mega Crucibelle can form a good VoltTurn combo I'd use "core" here, but that's just me, giving momentum for your team. Crucibelle in particular appreciates Krilowatt's ability to beat opposing Landorus-T.
  • Flying-types, such as Celesteela and Tomohawk, are great partners for Krilowatt as they can take the Grass- and Ground-type attacks that Krilowatt fears.
  • Pokemon with Rapid Spin or Defog such as Colossoil and Tapu Fini are helpful, as Krilowatt can get easily worn down by entry hazards on the field. Magic Guard says hi.
These are also lacking. Krilowatt appears on offensive teams as well, so things like offensive Tomohawk and Mega Pinsir are good as well. Add hazard setters and anything else you might think of.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • A bulkier set with Discharge, Ice Beam, Earth Power and Volt Switch can be used, thanks to Krilowatt's naturally good HP stat, however it can be worn down quickly due to it's lack of recovery. What EVs would it run? It could run Leftovers, Discharge, and Scald to spread status as well.
  • Krilowatt has a surprisingly vast physical movepool, which includes Ice Shard, Ice Punch, Earthquake and Low Kick. However, Krilowatt's physical STABs are extremely weak, making a full-on physical set not worth it. Ice Shard is worthless, don't mention it. It's physical STABs, Wild Charge and Aqua Tail, aren't any weaker than its Special STABs. Honestly, I think it might be worth mentioning that Krilowatt can run a set with max attack, and four of Wild Charge, Ice Beam (hits Landorus-T harder than Ice Punch), Volt Switch (pivoting), Aqua Tail, or Earthquake, just to surprise its checks. It wouldn't be that great but still a surprise. Wild Charge / Aqua Tail definitely need a good mention at least.
252 SpA Life Orb Krilowatt Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Mollux: 265-317 (67.2 - 80.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Krilowatt Earth Power vs. 200 HP / 252 SpD Assault Vest Magearna: 91-109 (25.9 - 31%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Krilowatt Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 8 SpD Charizard-Mega-Y: 250-296 (84.1 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Krilowatt Surf vs. 0 HP / 160 SpD Assault Vest Colossoil: 203-242 (49.8 - 59.4%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO

252 Atk Life Orb Krilowatt Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Mollux: 494-582 (125.3 - 147.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Krilowatt Earthquake vs. 200 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 190-224 (54.1 - 63.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Krilowatt Wild Charge vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Charizard-Mega-Y: 351-416 (118.1 - 140%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Krilowatt Aqua Tail vs. 0 HP / 36 Def Colossoil: 354-421 (86.9 - 103.4%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO

  • Counter and Mirror Coat are interesting options, thanks to Krilowatt's high HP and low defenses, but isn't that viable, as Krilowatt lacks reliable recovery. Mention that it can circumvent a lot of its counters like Pyroak, Ferrothorn, and Mega Venusaur.
  • Heart Swap is an option to get rid of boosts from set up sweepers such as Cawmodore, Calm Mind Naviathan, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Fini too but Krilowatt has trouble finding room for it, as it is very situational.
  • Thunder Wave + Confuse Ray is a niche option to form the ParaFuse combo, but it relies on luck, and limits Krilowatt's moveset to only two other moves. If you do anything with this analysis PLEASE get rid of this.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Entry Hazards**: Krilowatt can be worn down quickly from Stealth Rock and Spikes due to it's lack of reliable recovery. Are you sure you want to write this analysis?

**Special Walls**: Special walls such as Chansey, Cyclohm and Clefable can wall Krilowatt and heal off the damage and either wear it down with Toxic or set up Stealth Rock. Magic Guard, again. idk if you wanted to account for Trace variants, but if Kril doesn't run Magic Guard you're doing something very wrong. Also Cyclohm is a physical wall.

**Ground-types**: Ground-type Pokemon or Pokemon with Ground-type coverage such as Colossoil, Landorus-T and Stratagem can all threaten Krilowatt with their super-effective Ground-type attacks - however, they have a hard time switching in directly.

**Bulky Grass-types**: Bulky Grass-types such as Pyroak, Mega Venusaur and Malaconda can take Ice Beam from Krilowatt and threaten it out with their Grass-type STAB moves. This needs to be the first section. Add Ferrothorn too

A faster attackers section needs to be added and a powerful attackers section needs to be added, as they check Krilowatt
This is very rough. I'd like to take another look at this after you implement the comments.

"Pokemon with Rapid Spin or Defog such as Colossoil and Tapu Fini are helpful, as Krilowatt can get easily worn down by entry hazards on the field."

find this bit odd as Kril doesn't actually take damage from hazards by virtue of Magic Guard

Thank you so much for the check, I constantly kept forgetting about Magic Guard and I apologize for that. I admit that my analysis was a little rushed as I wanted to pump it out as quickly as I could.

  • Thunderbolt hits Water- and Flying-types such as Volkraken and Tomohawk for large damage.i still don't know what large damage is. does it OHKO? 2HKO?
  • Ice Beam hits Ground- and Dragon-types such as Landorus-T and Garchomp for good damage, OHKOing both of them, as well as some Grass-types like Tapu Bulu and Necturna
  • Earth Power is a great option to OHKO predicted switches into Pokemon such as Mega Crucibelle add Tapu Koko here too, as well as hitting important Water-type immune Pokemon like Plasmanta and Mollux.
  • Krilowatt's main moves completes BoltBeam coverage and also achieves very solid Ice- and Ground-type coverage.
  • Volt Switch allows Krilowatt to regain momentum for the team, which capitalizes on Krilowatt's common counters how?.
  • However, Surf is Krilowatt's most reliable Water-type STAB move, hitting Ground-types such as Colossoil for solid damage.
  • Scald is an option to spread burns across the opposing team why not use this over surf? what OHKOes / 2HKOes does it miss out on?.
  • Discharge is also another option to spread paralysis same as scald with tbolt.

Set Details
========

  • 252 Speed EVs along with a Timid nature maximize Krilowatt's Speed, allowing it to outspeed base 100s such as Mega Charizard Y, as well as key threats such as Garchomp.
  • 252 Special Attack EVs maximizes Krilowatt's offensive presence, which, along with Life Orb allows Krilowatt to hit as hard as it can while still maintaining a Timid nature. unnecessary to point out tbh
  • Magic Guard nullifies Life Orb recoil and allows Krilowatt to avoid hazards, as well as being a good status absorber as it becomes immune to poison and burn.

Usage Tips

  • Krilowatt can be switched into status moves such as Toxic and Thunder Wave from what? thanks to Magic Guard, which allows it to be a great status absorber.
  • Volt Switch should be used early-game to lure in and pivot out of Krilowatt's counters which are?.
  • Prediction is essential when using Krilowatt, as it's wide coverage allows it to hit Pokemon on the switch such as Mollux, Colossoil, and Landorus-T I'd pick examples that actually force Krilowatt out, like Mega Crucibelle or Tapu Koko.
  • Krilowatt can be used as a revenge killer, as well as a late-game cleaner once all of it's checks are weakened.
  • Krilowatt should be careful of what moves it uses, as it can give a free switch in to something that can directly threaten Krilowatt.
Every claim you make has to tie back with some examples to the metagame. I'd also mention that Krilowatt's immense bulk lets it tank Choice Scarf Volkraken's hits pretty well while switching in, as well as other hard hitting Pokemon that it resists. think up of more examples

Team Options

  • Pokemon with Volt Switch or U-Turn such as Landorus-T and Mega Crucibelle can form a good VoltTurn core, giving momentum for your team. Mega Crucibelle in particular appreciates Krilowatt's ability to beat opposing Landorus-T.

  • A bulkier set with Discharge, Ice Beam, Scald and Volt Switch with an EV spread of 252 HP , 252 Speed and 4 Special Defense with Leftovers can be used, thanks to Krilowatt's naturally good HP stat, however it can be worn down quickly due to it's lack of recovery. mention that its really weak though. also speed EVs, special defense EVs
i think it's better to invest in one of the defenses because of its high HP

252 SpA Volkraken Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Krilowatt: 118-140 (23.3 - 27.6%) -- 78.1% chance to 4HKO
252 SpA Volkraken Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 252 SpD Krilowatt: 89-105 (20 - 23.7%) -- guaranteed 5HKO

experiment with the ev spreads, but i suspect SpD would be a better than Def

  • Counter and Mirror Coat are interesting options, thanks to Krilowatt's high HP and low defenses, and can also be used to circumvent it's counters such as Ferrothorn, Pyroak and Mega Venusaur, but isn't that viable, as Krilowatt lacks reliable recovery and will generally be left at low HP.
  • Heart Swap is an option to get rid of boosts from set up sweepers such as Cawmodore, Calm Mind Naviathan, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Fini but Krilowatt has trouble finding room for it, as it is very situational.

252 SpA Life Orb Krilowatt Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Tapu Bulu: 198-234 (70.4 - 83.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery

add tangrowth

You are correct, two checks are needed for a writeup. I'm not suggesting you write it up and finish it immeditley, rather I was asking if you were down for the whole two checks, write up, one more check process for the USUM metagame. As it stands, you would update this analysis for USUM, and then go through the normal QC process.

  • It also has a phenomenal ability in Magic Guard, which prevents Life Orb recoil, as well as making it immune to hazards and Toxic add Leech Seed here - makes Kril a really great Celesteela switch-in.
  • It has excellent HP, allowing it to switch in and out of the battle often, while keeping momentum with Volt Switch. Volt Switch needs more emphasis, as it gives Krilowatt a way to pivot out of bulky Grass-types and special walls that want to switch-in
  • It sits at a solid 105 Speed tier, allowing it to outpace threats such as Garchomp, Mega Charizard Y, replace these with Zygarde and Volkraken Pajantom and Plasmanta, as well as speed tie with Mega Pinsir.
  • However, despite its good damage output, it can't adequately break walls or tanky Pokemon that it can't hit super effectively but Volt Switch helps Krilowatt pivot out of these matchups.
  • Additionally, it's overly reliant on Life Orb to do sizeable damage, meaning that it doesn't appreciate Knock Off.

Moves
========

  • Thunderbolt hits Water- and Flying-types such as Volkraken and Tomohawk, 2HKOing both of them.
  • Ice Beam hits Ground- and Dragon-types such as Landorus-T and Garchomp replace with Zygarde for good damage, OHKOing both of them, as well as some Grass-types like Tapu Bulu and Necturna. check to see how well AV Bulu tanks this. Also, try to reword this sentence so its more clearly explained Notably, Krilowatt is able to 2HKO non-Assault Vest variants of not many Pajantom run Assault Vest, remove this specification Pajantom, which can be good to pick it off on a predicted switch in to Thunderbolt or a Water-type move.
  • Earth Power is a great option to OHKO predicted switches into Pokemon such as Mega Crucibelle and Tapu Koko tapu Koko needs a little bit of chip damage, as well as hitting important Water-type immune Pokemon like Plasmanta and Mollux.
  • Krilowatt's main moves completes BoltBeam coverage and also achieves very solid Ice- and Ground-type coverage.I know I said to put this line in, but it's better to have in the overview section. Remove it from here and have something similar in the overview.
  • Volt Switch allows Krilowatt to regain momentum for the team, which capitalizes on Krilowatt's common counters like by allowing it to switch out on a predicted switch into a non-Ground-type counter. this sentence is oddly worded. Volt Switch allows Krilowatt to pivot out bulky walls that can tank its moves
  • However, Surf is Krilowatt's most reliable Water-type STAB move yes, but this misses the point of Surf. the point is that, unlike Ice Beam, it gets STAB, which makes it hit Victini, Colossoil, Tyranitar, and Blacephalon harder than it would with Ice Beam or Earth Power. Make it clear that it's the STAB boost that makes Surf an option, hitting Ground-types such as Colossoil for solid damage.
  • Scald is an option to spread burns across the opposing team, but it misses out on certain KOs such as against Flame Orb Colossoil.
  • Discharge is also another option to spread paralysis, but it also misses out on KOs that Thunderbolt would have gotten, such as against specially defensive Celesteela.

Set Details

  • 252 Speed EVs along with a Timid nature maximize Krilowatt's Speed, allowing it to outspeed base 100s such as Mega Charizard Y, replace this with Mega Medicham as well as key threats such as Garchomp.replace this with Pajantom
  • 252 Special Attack EVs maximizes Krilowatt's offensive presence, which, along with Life Orb allows Krilowatt to hit as hard as it can.
  • Magic Guard nullifies Life Orb recoil and allows Krilowatt to avoid hazards, as well as being a good status absorber as it becomes immune to poison and burn damage. Emphasize that this ability allows Krilowatt's HP to be preserved for tanking hits.

Usage Tips
========

  • Krilowatt can be switched into status moves such as Toxic and Will-O-Wisp from Pokemon like Chansey and Rotom-Wash name some other Toxic users thanks to Magic Guard, which allows it to be a great status absorber. add that you can switch into Celesteela at all times
  • Volt Switch should be used early-game to lure in and pivot out of Krilowatt's counters such as Pyroak and AV Magearna.
  • Prediction is essential when using Krilowatt, as it's wide coverage allows it to hit Pokemon on the switch such as Tapu Koko, Colossoil, and Mega Crucibelle.
  • Krilowatt can be used as a revenge killer elaborate on this, how Krilowatt can either outspeed the opponent and smack it super effectively or force out a heavy hitter like Choice Specs Blacephalon by being able to tank a Shadow Ball when Kril is at full health, as well as a late-game cleaner once all of it's checks are weakened.
  • Krilowatt should be careful of what moves it uses, as it can give a free switch in to something that can directly threaten Krilowatt. name some examples of these
  • Krilowatt's immense bulk lets it tank Choice Scarf Volkraken's attacks while switching in, as well as Mega Charizard Y - though it must be wary of a Solar Beam on the switch. sub out Mega Charizard Y with

Team Options
========

  • Pokemon with Volt Switch or U-Turn such as Landorus-T and Mega Crucibelle can form a good VoltTurn core, giving momentum for your team. Mega Crucibelle in particular appreciates Krilowatt's ability to beat opposing Landorus-T. add Mega Scizor which can switch into most Ground-types and like Krilowatt's capability to take on most Fire-types
  • Flying-types, such as Celesteela, Tomohawk and Mega Pinsir are great partners for Krilowatt as they can take the Grass- and Ground-type attacks that Krilowatt fears. Offensive variants of Tomohawk and Mega Pinsir can also help on offensive teams by breaking open Grass-types.
  • Hazard setters, such as Pyroak and Ferrothorn can help Krilowatt achieve certain KOs against foes such as Volkraken. Tapu Koko as mentioned earlier, name more examples.
  • Wallbreakers, such as Kyurem-Black can punch holes in the opponent's team so Krilowatt can clean up late-game. what holes do they punch? name more physical wallbreakers that can bust open special walls
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Krilowatt has a surprisingly vast physical movepool, which includes Ice Punch, Earthquake and Low Kick, as well as some STAB moves in Aqua Tail and Wild Charge, allowing it to surprise conventional checks such as Magearna, Mollux, Colossoil and Mega Charizard Y.
  • A bulkier set with Discharge, Ice Beam, Scald and Volt Switch with an EV spread of 4 Defense, 252 Special Defense and 252 Speed with Leftovers can be used, thanks to Krilowatt's naturally good HP stat, however it can be worn down quickly due to it's lack of recovery aside from leftovers, and it is quite weak. It is also very weak compared to the main set.
  • Heart Swap is an option to get rid of boosts from set up sweepers such as Cawmodore, Calm Mind Naviathan, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Fini but Krilowatt has trouble finding room for it, as it is very situational. add in Celebrate Victini instead

Checks and Counters
===================
**Bulky Grass-types**: Bulky Grass-types such as Pyroak, Mega Venusaur, Ferrothorn, Tangrowth and Tapu Bulu can all take Ice Beam from Krilowatt and threaten it out with their Grass-type STAB moves. However, these Pokemon are bait for Volt Switch if you predict a switch into them.

**Special Walls**: Special walls such as Chansey and Clefable can wall Krilowatt and heal off the damage or set up Stealth Rock and wear down Krilowatt with Seismic Toss and Moonblast.

**Ground-types**: Ground-type Pokemon or Pokemon with Ground-type coverage such as Colossoil, Landorus-T and Stratagem move Stratagem to the next section can all threaten Krilowatt with their super-effective Ground-type attacks - however, they have a hard time switching in directly. add Zygarde, and most of these Pokemon need to hit Krilowatt on the switch-in due to its speed - make this clear

**Faster Attackers**: Faster attackers, such as Mega Alakazam, Syclant, Ash-Greninja, Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and Mega Crucibelle can pick off Krilowatt by virtue of their good offenses and coverage. but Krilowatt can tank some of their moves if it is at high health

**Bulky Attackers**: Bulky attackers, such as Kyurem-Black, Mega Scizor and Assault Vest Magearna can shrug off anything Krilowatt uses and hit it back hard or pivot out.
I'd like to take another look at this before I stamp since I had to comment on so much. Please let me know when you implement!

[OVERVIEW]
  • Krilowatt acts as a great late-game cleaner, which allows it to hit most of the metagame for respectable damage, thanks to its access to wide neutral coverage.
  • It also has a phenomenal ability in Magic Guard, which prevents Life Orb recoil, as well as making it immune to hazards, Leech Seed, and Toxic.
  • It has excellent HP, allowing it to switch in and out of the battle often, while keeping momentum with Volt Switch, which gives Krilowatt a way to pivot out of bulky Grass-types and special walls that want to switch-in.
  • It sits at a solid 105 Speed tier, allowing it to outpace threats such as Zygarde, Volkraken, Pajantom and Plasmanta, as well as speed tie with Mega Pinsir.
  • Finally, it has no reliable recovery outside of Rest, meaning it can get easily worn down with powerful neutral hits.

Moves
========

  • Thunderbolt hits Water- and Flying-types such as Volkraken and Tomohawk, 2HKOing both of them.
  • Ice Beam hits can OHKO prominent Ground-types such as Landorus-T and Zygarde and also hits 2HKOs some Grass-types like Necturna and non-Assault Vest Tapu Bulu. i know i made a comment on this last check, but all Bulus get hit pretty well by Ice Beam - see usage tips later for this Notably, Krilowatt is able to 2HKO Pajantom, which can be good to pick it off on a predicted switch in to Thunderbolt or a Water-type switch into a predicted STAB move. that was a little wordy
  • Earth Power is a great option to OHKO predicted switches into Pokemon such as Mega Crucibelle and Tapu Koko after some prior damage, as well as hitting important Water-type immune Pokemon like Plasmanta and Mollux.
  • Krilowatt's main moves completes BoltBeam coverage, which is able to hit every Pokemon in the game neutrally or super-effectively except for Lanturn, Magnezone and opposing Krillowatt.
  • Volt Switch allows Krilowatt to regain momentum for the team, and lets it pivot out of bulky walls that can tank its moves.
  • However, Surf, unlike Ice Beam and Earth Power, is a STAB move, which lets Krilowatt hit Victini, Colossoil, Tyranitar, and Blacephalon harder than it would with Ice Beam or Earth Power.

  • Krilowatt can be switched into status moves such as Toxic and Will-O-Wisp from Pokemon like Chansey, Toxapex, Celesteela and Rotom-Wash thanks to Magic Guard, which allows it to be a great status absorber. Krilowatt also has a notably good matchup against Celesteela thanks to its 4x resistance to Heavy Slam and immunity to both Toxic and Leech Seed.
  • Volt Switch should be used early-game to lure in and pivot out of Krilowatt's counters such as Pyroak and Assault Vest Magearna.
  • Prediction is essential when using Krilowatt, as it's wide coverage allows it to hit Pokemon on the switch such as Tapu Koko, Colossoil, and Mega Crucibelle.
  • Krilowatt can be used as a revenge killer by either outspeeding the opponent and hitting it super effectively, or by forcing out a heavy hitter like Choice Specs Blacephalon by taking a strong attack at full health and retaliating. It can also function well as a late-game cleaner once all of its checks are weakened.
  • Krilowatt should be careful of what moves it uses, as it can give a free switch in to something that can directly threaten Krilowatt like Necturna.
  • Krilowatt's immense bulk lets it tank Choice Scarf Volkraken's attacks while switching in, as well as Blacephalon - though it can only take unboosted Choice Scarf Shadow Balls from it on the switch
