Quagsire usually is an easy switch into Piloswine because it can take any hit and can attempt to Scald Pilo or use it as curse bait but Freeze-Dry 2HKOs and puts Quag in a very bad spot. The beauty of this is that you don't need SpA investment either which is nice. I guess losing Ice Shard is annoying but it's not that bad. Alternative EV spread with a Brave nature gives you a favorable chance to 2HKO Mantine with lefties, limiting Pilo's switch-ins even further. You can run 100 HP and 36 speed with a Naughty nature if you want the Gourgeist-XL speed creep.

Stolen from the main thread, but still works. Standard set before Quag came back, consisting of Acro, E-Power and Stone Edge usually can't break Quag unless for crits, but with HP Grass, you can kill Quag after a single Acrobatics even with the lowest of rolls and Leftovers. Also works against Gastrodon, except not with an OHKO with two min rolls(93% minimum).

252 Atk Archeops Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 153-180 (38.8 - 45.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

You can SD on teams that use Quag as their sole SD Rott check and proceed to cleanly 2hko it with Hydro. Better yet, a smart Quag will try to Curse on Samurott, which removes the chance of getting Scald burned.

Stone Edge allows to OHKO Mantine which otherwise completely walls it. Air Slash doesn't OHKO and does more or less 70%. Unfortunately, it loses out on Bulk Up, however, it's now able to hit flying types. Nothing much more to explain.

Water-type Mantine normally checks but instead surprises it with a wild HP Electric. Cool (albeit not creative) lure that is still super useful outside of bopping just Mantine unlike some other more niche lures. Neat teammates are other water-types such floatzel or fighting type that generally struggle to break through this Mantine set such as Gurdurr.
