ORAS OU Manaphy Balance

Alright, this is a team i built for a friend of mine a while ago. I really ended up liking it alot.


Manaphy @ Wacan Berry
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Energy Ball
- Tail Glow
Manaphy was the Pokemon that i initially tried to build this team around.
It gives great offensive Pressure, sometimes being able to sweep Teams
on its own after setting up a Tail Glow. The Wacan Berry is used to set up
on Rotoms occasionally aswell as enabling manaphy to sometimes take an
Electric attack and continue sweeping.


Dugtrio @ Choice Band
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Memento
- Sucker Punch
I decided to pair Duggy with Manaphy because it has the abiility to trap
many problematic Pokemon such as Raikou, Jolteon, to an extent M-Manectric
(Without Rocks or prior damage, with Rocks it has a 25 chance to be ohkod),
while also occasionally being able to help Manaphy set up with Memento.
It runs just enough speed to outspeed timid Raikou.


Venusaur-Mega @ Venusaurite
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 248 HP / 100 Def / 140 SpD / 20 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Giga Drain
- Leech Seed
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Sludge Bomb

Mega Venusaur is the teams mains check to threats like Azumarill
or Rotom-Wash. It also is able to deal with fighting and Electric types quite well
and is a great defensive mon in general. HP Fire is to deal with switchins like
Scizor and Ferrothorn, which would otherwise completely counter it.
It is EVd to outspeed adamant Azu.


Rotom-Heat @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Overheat
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
Rotom-Heat is my primary specially defensive pivot. it not only
grants the team additional backup versus Electric and Fire types,
but also grants relatively slow voltswitches for Manaphy and Duggy.
Will-O-Wisp is some much needed utility aswell.

Weavile @ Life Orb
Ability: Pickpocket
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Pursuit
Weaviles main purpose in this team is dealing with Dragons, also
trapping mons like Lati-Twins, Gengar, Starmie and similar mons.
Additionally, it is often able to cleanup teams in lategame,
given its exceptional offensive stats and its great offensive movepool.


Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers​
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 244 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
Landorus-Therian is a great defensive pivot and also serves as the teams rocker.
Its EV-Spread allows it to outspeed jolly Azumarill and to survive M-Manectrics
HP Ice at full hp. Once again helping Duggy and Manaphy do their jobs by
providing slow U-Turns, it also is used as a soft check to zard x.
