Ubers Mega Diancie

Stoward

Ah, you're finally awake
Base:

Mega:

[OVERVIEW]

* Magic Bounce is a really useful ability, as it's able to prevent entry hazards from being set on the field and also prevents Mega Diancie's foes from trying to spread status.
* Boasting a base 160 in both offensive stats, Mega Diancie is able to utilize a mixed set incredibly well, being able to quite effectively dent through dedicated special and physical walls, such as Blissey and Giratina.
* Rock / Fairy is a useful offensive typing, as it allows Mega Diancie to check many defensive threats such as Ho-Oh, Lugia, Mega Sableye, Blissey, and Tyranitar as well as some offensive threats such as Yveltal, Mega Salamence, and Rayquaza as long as the latter two don't run Earthquake.
* At the same time, Mega Diancie loses to some of the most common offensive threats in the tier such as Primal Groudon, Necrozma-DM, Primal Kyogre, Mega Lucario, and Arceus Ground.
* Although it has a useful ability in Magic Bounce, Mega Diancie still loses to most of the common entry hazard setters in the tier such as Primal Groudon, Excadrill, Ferrothorn, and Skill Swap Deoxys-S sets, so it has to rely on other Pokemon in the tier to effectively keep entry hazards off the field. As a result, Mega Diancie can only really utilize its ability against more passive playstyles such as stall.
* Although base 110 in both defenses is quite respectable, its low HP combined with the fact that it has to run a nature that reduces bulk results in Mega Diancie being rather frail, even when those stats are boosted.
* Although a base 110 Speed is relatively impressive on paper, it should be noted that many of Mega Diancie's checks actually outspeed it, as support Arceus formes opt to run enough Speed investment to outpace Mega Lucario and other threats such as Xerneas commonly use a Choice Scarf.
* Due to the fact that Mega Diancie takes up a Mega slot and the fact that Necrozma-DM and Arceus Ground are two of the most common Pokemon in the tier, it is often hard to justify Mega Diancie's placement on a team.

Moves
========

* Moonblast is a Fairy-type STAB attack that allows Mega Diancie to hit a significant amount of the tier for neutral damage. It's also useful for hitting Marshadow, Mega Salamence, Zygarde-C, Rayquaza, Mega Sableye, and Tyranitar.
* Diamond Storm is a useful 100-Base Power STAB move that hits Flying-type Pokemon such as Ho-Oh for super effective damage. It also takes advantage of Mega Diancie's high Attack stat and allows it to easily take care of Pokemon with high Special Defense such as Blissey, Primal Kyogre, and Gothitelle. Another useful perk of Diamond Storm is the fact that it has a 50% chance to boost Mega Diancie's Defense by two stages, allowing it to survive crucial attacks such as a Precipice Blades from an uninvested Primal Groudon.
* Earth Power is useful for dealing with common Fairy-resistant Pokemon such as Primal Groudon, Mega Gengar, Magearna, and Toxapex. It should be noted, though, that there are a large number of Steel-type Pokemon that are unfazed by Earth Power, either due to a secondary typing that lets them take neutral damage from Earth Power or an ability combined with a lot of natural bulk that allows them to take minimal damage from Earth Power.
* Toxic punishes just about every non-Steel- and Poison-type Pokemon that switches in, wearing them down and making them easier for Diancie and other teammates to KO.
* Running Stealth Rock on Mega Diancie means that teammates such as Necrozma-DM and Primal Groudon don't have to run it and are then capable of running more offensive sets.
* Heal Bell allows Mega Diancie to act as an offensive cleric and can be very useful against offensive teams, where Mega Diancie can struggle to put in work and therefore help its teammates by curing them of status and slightly wearing down foes.
* Endeavor allows Mega Diancie to take advantage of its low HP stat and make offensive threats easier to wear down.

Set Details
========

* Maximum EVs in Speed let Mega Diancie take advantage of its base 110 Speed tier.
* 24 EVs in Attack guarantee a 2HKO on Blissey, meaning that it's unable to PP stall Mega Diancie with Soft-Boiled.
* The remainder of the EVs are placed in Special Attack for maximum damage output.
* A Naive nature is chosen so Mega Diancie is able to take advantage of its Speed stat and potential Defense boosts from Diamond Storm as well as effectively act as a mixed attacker.
* Diancite is required for Diancie to become Mega Diancie.

Usage Tips
========

* Try to Mega Evolve Diancie as soon as possible, as that way you're able to utilize its ability more effectively. Note that Clear Body can occasionally be useful when Sticky Web is on the field or to prevent Intimidate Attack drops from Salamence before it Mega Evolves, but in reality, this is still hard to justify not Mega Evolving, since Mega Diancie has a solid matchup against Sticky Web setters and is able to KO Mega Salamence with Moonblast anyway.
* While you should avoid letting Mega Diancie take any damage at all, it is best to bring Mega Diancie in against status or utility moves or against attacks that it resists such as Dark- and Flying-type moves.
* Although Diancie can quite easily gain a +2 Defense boost with Diamond Storm, it is still better to avoid letting it take supereffective physical attacks, as it is rarely able to survive these, even at +2.
* Mega Diancie is a very matchup-dependent Pokemon, as it can be a potential wincon against stall teams after defensive threats such as support Arceus-Ground and Arceus-Water have been removed from the field; against offensive teams, however, just use Mega Diancie to try to reflect entry hazards and other status moves, wear down foes with attacks, and potentially heal the status conditions of teammates with Heal Bell.
* Although Diamond Storm provides great benefits, be wary that it only has 8 PP, so avoid using it too liberally. It is especially important to conserve the PP of Diamond Storm when facing stall teams, as Mega Diancie needs Diamond Storm to KO threats such as Blissey and Ho-Oh.

Team Options
========

* Gothitelle makes a brilliant partner for Mega Diancie, as it can trap the support Arceus formes that threaten Mega Diancie as well as other defensive Pokemon that pose a great threat to Mega Diancie such as Celesteela and Ferrothorn. It is also worth noting that the core of Gothitelle + Mega Diancie beats every relevant Defogger in the tier one-on-one, which makes it easier for Mega Diancie to set up Stealth Rock and keep it on the field for the majority of the game.
* Necrozma-DM is a brilliant partner for Mega Diancie, as it is able to deal with Xerneas, Arceus-Water, and Arceus-Fairy lacking Will-O-Wisp. In return, Necrozma-DM appreciates Mega Diancie's ability to deal with Ho-Oh and Yveltal, and Mega Diancie's Stealth Rock support lets Necrozma-DM run more offensive sets like Double Dance. Support Necrozma-DM also makes a useful partner for Mega Diancie, as it is a strong Steel-type that shuts down some support Arceus formes such as Arceus-Ground and Arceus-Fairy.
* Ho-Oh makes a nice partner, as it can threaten the Steel-types that threaten Mega Diancie, and it also appreciates Mega Diancie's ability to prevent entry hazards from being set.
* Arceus-Ground is a useful partner, as it provides the team with a secondary means of keeping hazards off the field with Defog, as well as threatening many of the Ground- and Steel-type Pokemon that beat Diancie, such as Primal Groudon, Excadrill, Mega Lucario, and Zygarde-C.
* Giratina-O can take advantage of the status that Mega Diancie can potentially reflect with Magic Bounce and appreciates Diancie's resistance to Dark-type attacks. Furthermore, it can help support Mega Diancie by Defogging away hazards.
* Primal Groudon is also a nice partner for Mega Diancie, as it is able to check Necrozma-DM more effectively than Arceus-Ground and is also an effective check to Xerneas.
* Both offensive and defensive variants of Zygarde-C make good partners for Mega Diancie, as they provide the team with a check to Primal Groudon, Necrozma-DM, Earthquake Mega Salamence, offensive Arceus-Ground sets, Mega Lucario, and Ho-Oh. Offensive variants of Zygarde-C particularly appreciate Diancie's ability to deal with Yveltal.
* Marshadow makes a nice offensive partner for Mega Diancie, as it provides teams with a means of threatening Necrozma-DM, Ultra Necrozma, and common Ghost-types such as Mega Gengar, as well as providing teams with priority, making it easier to clean off weakened foes thanks to Shadow Sneak. Marshadow also appreciates Mega Diancie dealing with common threats to it such as Yveltal and checking Mega Salamence and Ho-Oh, which are two Pokemon that Marshadow can struggle with depending on whether it runs Hidden Power Ice or Rock Tomb.
* Arceus-Water makes a good defensive partner for Mega Diancie, as it is able to check a number of Pokemon that Mega Diancie struggles to deal with, such as Arceus-Ground, Primal Groudon, Ho-Oh, Mega Salamence, and Primal Kyogre sets lacking Thunder. Arceus-Water sets running Will-O-Wisp also have a decent matchup against Necrozma-DM and Mega Lucario, as it resists their Steel-type attacks and can burn them.
* Yveltal is a good offensive partner for Mega Diancie, since it threatens Necrozma-DM, Marshadow, and Mega Gengar. It also provides the team with a Ground immunity, which is crucial to have in a metagame dominated by Primal Groudon.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Hidden Power Fire can be a nice surprise attack, potentially OHKOing Mega Scizor after Stealth Rock damage and 2HKOing Ferrothorn, which are both otherwise relatively unfazed by Mega Diancie's attacks. However, this can only be used when predicting either of these Pokemon switching in, as both of them are able to OHKO Mega Diancie.
* Calm Mind can be a useful move, as it boosts Mega Diancie's Special Attack and Special Defense by one stage, making it a lot harder to switch into and a lot harder for defensive teams to wear down, since Magic Bounce grants Mega Diancie an immunity to Taunt and status moves. However, Mega Diancie only really gets to take advantage of Calm Mind in matchups against stall, which, considering that Mega Diancie's best matchup is already against stall, makes it hard to justify over any of its other common moves.
* Protect can be used to allow Diancie to Mega Evolve without having to take any damage doing so. It can also be useful for scouting for super effective coverage moves. However, Diancie struggles to find the moveslot to run it, as it already struggles between the options of Heal Bell, Endeavor, and Stealth Rock.
* Magnet Rise can be useful for dealing with Primal Groudon, as Mega Diancie can then 2HKO it with Earth Power. However, most Pokemon with Ground-type attacks are still able to beat Mega Diancie in a one-on-one situation, as Zygarde is able to hit it with Thousand Arrows regardless and Arceus-Ground outspeeds it.
* Rock Polish can boost Mega Diancie's Speed, potentially giving it more offensive presence, and making it harder to be revenge killed by faster Pokemon in the tier such as Marshadow; however, Mega Diancie still faces the issues of failing to KO many of the Pokemon that threaten it, as Mega Lucario and Mega Scizor have access to priority Bullet Punch, and Necrozma-DM and Arceus-Ground can KO Mega Diancie in return. Rock Polish also prevents it from running more effective moves such as Stealth Rock and Heal Bell.
* Power Gem and a Timid nature can be run in place of Diamond Storm on a Calm Mind Set to make Mega Diancie a full special sweeper, but it should be noted that it struggles immensely against special walls, as it has to get to +6 in order to be able to 2HKO Chansey with Moonblast.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Diancie has a 4x weakness to Steel-type attacks and therefore finds even the most passive of Steel-type Pokemon to be very threatening. Although Mega Diancie runs Earth Power or occasionally Hidden Power Fire as an attempt to combat Steel-type Pokemon, there are many Steel-types in the tier that are relatively unfazed by those moves, as they have a significant amount of natural bulk or a secondary typing that makes them take neutral damage from them. For example, Celesteela is a hard-counter to Mega Diancie, as it fails to 2HKO Celesteela, even if it opts to run Hidden Power Fire, and Celesteela can OHKO it in return with Heavy Slam to get a free Defense boost. Ferrothorn tends to run maximum Special Defense investment and therefore is barely even 2HKOed by Hidden Power Fire sets. Mega Scizor is also unfazed by Mega Diancie's attacks, with the exception of the rare Hidden Power Fire, and can OHKO Mega Diancie with priority Bullet Punch.

**Ground-types**: Both offensive and support variants of Arceus-Ground easily deal with Mega Diancie, as they are able to outspeed it and OHKO it with powerful STAB attacks. Primal Groudon is able to OHKO Mega Diancie with Precipice Blades, but it should be noted that it is 2HKOed by Earth Power. Zygarde-C is able to OHKO Mega Diancie with Thousand Arrows after Stealth Rock damage, but it needs to be in its Complete forme in order to be able to tank a Moonblast.

**Primal Kyogre**: Primal Kyogre has more than enough bulk to take any of Mega Diancie's hits and OHKO it with Origin Pulse.

**Arceus-Water and Arceus-Fairy**: Arceus-Water and Arceus-Fairy can Recover off damage taken from any of Mega Diancie's attacks and wear it down with Judgment or Ice Beam in Arceus-Water's case.

**Chansey**: Chansey has enough bulk thanks to its Eviolite to shrug off any attack from Mega Diancie with Soft-Boiled. It should be noted, though, that if it is not running Seismic Toss, it can't do anything back to Mega Diancie.

**Faster Attackers and Revenge Killers**: Faster attackers such as Marshadow, Ultra Necrozma, Mega Lucario, Arceus-Ground, and Choice Scarf Xerneas can all outspeed Mega Diancie and KO it with their hard-hitting attacks.

For Checks and Counters, merge Celesteela into the steel types point and add a mention of Necrozma-DM, add a point for suicide leads that can get hazards up vs Diancie- Skill Swap, Excadrill. Add a point for faster attackers/revenge killers- stuff like scarf xern, marshadow and ultra necro which can just ohko with their raw power.
For the point about stealth rock, it could be worth mentioning Mega Diancie's matchup vs common Defoggers- wins vs Mega Salamence, Giratinas, Ho-Oh, loses to support arcs bar darkceus and stuff like msciz. For the gothitelle point, think its worth mentioning how the combo of goth and mdiancie can get rocks up vs any relevant defogger except msciz

AM, implement what you agree
Watch out for capitalization, spelling, and some informal words like "really" and "nice", though these will most likely be handled in GP process.
Good stuff ig
[OVERVIEW]

* Magic Bounce is a really useful ability, as it's able to prevent entry hazards from being set on the field, and also prevents its opponents from trying to spread status. I would specify how would this benefit Mega Diancie's team. Discouraging Stealth Rock and Toxic, which are very common moves in the tier alone lets Mega Diancie be a justifiable choice in small number of teams.
* Boasting a base 160 in both offensive stats, Mega Diancie is able to utilise a mixed set incredibly well, being able to quite effectively dent through dedicated special or physical walls, such as Blissey and Giratina.
* Rock/Fairy is a useful offensive typing, as it is able to check many defensive threats such as Ho-Oh, Lugia, Mega Sableye, Blissey and Tyranitar, as well as some offensive threats such as Yveltal. I would re-order this from the most relevant to the least. Yveltal is obviously more relevant / threatening than every 'mon you have listed.
* At the same time, its typing is a bit of a double-edged sword as it also loses to some of the most common offensive threats in the tier such as Primal Groudon, Dusk Mane Necrozma, Primal Kyogre, Marshadow, Mega-Lucario and Arceus Ground. While what you said is true here, I would rather talk about how the defensive typing leaves Diancie with common weakness to Ground (meaning it loses against pdon groundceus and such while losing to p much anything with equake such as mmence or rayquaza) while leaving it vulnerable to Mega luke and DM as you have mentioned.
* Although it has a useful ability with Magic Bounce, it still loses to most of the common Entry Hazard setters in the tier such as Primal Groudon, Excadrill, Ferrothorn and Deoxys-S sets lacking Skill Swap, therefore it has to rely on other Pokemon in the tier to effectively keep entry hazards off the field.
-> How does Deoxys-S set lacking Skill Swap beat Diancie? It needs one to set rocks lolz
* Although 110 in both Defenses is quite respectable, its low HP stat of 50, combined with the fact that it has to run a negative-defense nature results in Mega Diancie being rather frail, even when those stats are boosted. even with Diamond Storm Boost. This also limits Diancie's usefulness as a check to threats such as Yveltal and Ho-oh since it cannot afford to switch into them too often.
* Although 110 Base Speed is relatively impressive on paper, it should be noted that many of Mega Diancie's checks actually outspeed it, as Support Arceus formes are opting to run enough speed to outpace Mega Lucario, and other threats such as Xerneas are commonly running a Choice Scarf.
* Due to the fact that Mega Diancie takes up a Mega Slot, and the fact that Necrozma-DM and Arceus Ground are two of the most common Pokemon in the Ubers tier, it is often hard to justify Mega Diancie's placement on a team over other Megas like... (list better mega's here)

Moves
========
* Moonblast allows Mega Diancie to take advantage of its Fairy-typing and hit a significant amount of the tier for neutral damage with a STAB 95 Base Power move thanks to STAB and high Special Attack stat. It’s also really useful for hitting Marshadow, Mega Salamence, Zygarde-C, Rayquaza, Mega Sableye and Tyranitar.
* Diamond Storm is really useful STAB 100 Base Power STAB move that hits flying-type Pokemon such as Ho-Oh and Lugia for super-effective damage. It also takes advantage of its High Physical attack stat and allows it to easily take care of Pokemon with large Special Defense such as Chansey, Blissey, Primal Kyogre, Lugia, and Gothitelle. Another useful perk of Diamond Storm is the fact that it has a 50% chance to boost Mega Diancie's defense by two stages.
* Earth Power is useful for dealing with common Fairy resists such as Primal Groudon, Mega Gengar, Magearna, and Toxapex. It should be noted though that there are a large number of Steel-type Pokemon who are unfazed by Mega Diancies Earth Power such as Necrozma-DM, Celesteela, Ferrothorn, and Skarmory, either due to a dual typing that means it takes neutral damage from Earth Power, or an ability combined with a lot of natural bulk that allows it to take minimal damage from Earth Power.
* Endeavor allows Mega Diancie to take advantage of its low HP stat and make offensive threats easier to wear down as it reduces its foes HP to the same number as its own.
* Heal Bell allows Mega Diancie to act as an offensive Cleric, and can be very useful against offensive teams, where Mega Diancie can struggle to put in work, and therefore it can help its teammates by slightly wearing down opponents and curing them of status.
* Stealth Rock can be nice on Mega Diancie, as it means that teammates such as Necrozma-DM and Primal Groudon don't have to run it and are then capable of running more offensive sets. This is situationally good since Diancie can threaten common defog users like gira-o or birds with Defog
* Calm Mind boosts Mega Diancie's Special Attack and Special Defense by one stage, and is a brilliant move against defensive teams, as it makes it a lot harder to switch into and a lot harder for defensive teams to wear down, since Magic Bounce grants Mega Diancie an immunity to Taunt and status moves.

* Max EVs in Speed let it take advantage of its base 110 Speed tier.
* 24 EVs in Attack guarantee a 2HKO on Blissey, meaning that it's unable to PP stall it with recover.
* The remainder of the EVs are placed in Special Attack in order for maximum damage output.
* A Naive or Hasty nature is chosen so that Mega Diancie is able to take advantage of its Speed stat as well as effectively act as a mixed attacker.
* Diancite is required for Diancie to become Mega Diancie.

Usage Tips
========
* Try to mega-evolve Diancie as soon as possible, that way you're able to utilize it's ability more effectively. It can be noted though that Clear Body can occasionally be useful when Sticky Webs are on the field or to prevent intimidates from Salamence before it Mega Evolves, but in reality, this is still hard to justify not mega evolving, since Mega Diancie has a solid matchup against Sticky Web setters and is able to KO Mega Salamence with Moonblast anyway.
* Try to avoid directly switching Diancie into attacks, as it doesn't have access to any recovery and it is quite frail especially after Mega Evolution.
* Although Diancie can quite easily gain a +2 defense boost with Diamond Storm, it is still better to avoid letting it take super-effective physical attacks from the likes of Primal Groudon, as it is rarely able to survive these, even with a +2 defense boost.
* Mega Diancie is a very matchup related matchup-dependent Pokemon, as it can be a potential win condition against stall teams after its defensive threats have been removed from the field, but against offensive teams, it is often just better to use it as death fodder, and to try and reflect bounce back hazards and the occasional status and wear down opposing threats, or potentially use it as an offensive cleric with Heal Bell.
* Although Diamond Storm provides great benefits, be wary that this move only has 8 PP so avoid using it religiously - especially against stall matchups, where Diamond Storm is essential for KOing threats such as Blissey and Ho-Oh.

Team Options
========
* Gothitelle makes a brilliant partner for Mega Diancie, as it can trap the support arceus formes that threaten Mega Diancie, as well as other defensive pokemon that pose a great threat to Mega Diancie such as Celesteela and Ferrothorn. it is also worth noting that Gothitelle + Mega Diancie beat every relevant Defogger in the tier one-on-one, which makes it easier for Mega Diancie to set up Stealth Rock and keep it on the field for the majority of the game.
* Ho-Oh makes a nice team partner, as it can threaten the Steel-types that threaten Mega Diancie, and it also appreciates Mega Diancie’s ability to prevent Hazards.
* Arceus-Ground is a useful team partner, as it provides the team with a secondary means of keeping hazards off the field with Defog, as well as threatens many of the Ground- and Steel-type Pokemon that threaten Diancie, such as Primal Groudon, Excadrill, Mega Lucario, and Zygarde Complete.
* Giratina-O can be nice as it can take advantage of the status that Mega Diancie can potentially reflect with Magic Bounce and appreciates Diancies resistance to Dark-type attacks. Furthermore, it can help support Mega Diancie by defogging away its hazards. Also switching into Toxic is nice
* Primal Groudon is also a nice partner for Mega Diancie as it is able to check DM Necromza more effectively than Arceus Ground and is also an effective check to Xerneas. More generally it hurts Steel-types and appreciates Diancie alleviating a slot for it to run another move.

Other Options
=============
* Hidden Power Fire can be a nice lure, potentially OHKOing Mega Scizor after Stealth Rock Damage and 2HKOing Ferrothorn, who are both otherwise relatively unfazed by Mega Diancie’s Attacks. However, this can only be used when predicting that either of these Pokemon are going to switch in, as both of them are able to OHKO Mega Diancie before it can actually attack.
* Protect can be used to allow Diancie to Mega Evolve without having to take any damage doing so. It can also be useful for scouting for super-effective coverage moves. However, it struggles to find the moveslot to run it, as it already struggles between the options of Heal Bell, Endeavor, Calm Mind or Stealth Rock.
* Magnet Rise can be useful for dealing with Primal Groudon, as it can then 2HKO it with Earth Power. However, most Pokemon with Ground-type attacks are still able to beat it in a one on one situation, as Zygarde is able to hit levitating Pokemon with Thousand Arrows, Arceus Ground and Mega Gengar outspeed it and Dugtrio, albeit rare, has to run an adamant nature in order to trap and KO Primal Groudon with Groundium Z and is therefore outsped and OHKOed by Moonblast, so it ends up being a waste of a moveslot anyway.
* Rock Polish can boost its speed, potentially giving it a more offensive presence, making it harder to be revenge killed by faster pokemon in the tier such as Marshadow, however it still faces the issues of failing to KO many of the Pokemon that threaten it, as Mega Lucario and Mega Scizor are unfazed by how much Speed Mega Diancie is running, and Dusk-Mane Necrozma, Arceus-Ground and having them KO back in return, and it prevents it from running more effective moves such as Stealth Rock and Heal Bell.
* Power Gem and a Timid Nature can be ran in place of Diamond Storm to make Mega Diancie a full special sweeper, however, it should be noted that it struggles immensly against Special walls, as it has to get to +6 in order to be able to 2HKO Chansey with Moonblast.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Steel-types**: Diancie has a 4x weakness to Steel-type attacks and therefore finds even the most passive of Steel-type Pokemon to be very threatening. Although Mega Diancie runs Earth Power or occasionally Hidden Power Fire as an attempt to combat Steel-type Pokemon, there are many Steel-types in the Ubers tier that are relatively unfazed by it as they have a significant amount of natural bulk, or they are blessed with a dual-typing that makes them take neutral damage from it. For example, Celesteela is a hard counter to Mega Diancie, as Mega Diancie fails to 2HKO Celesteela, even if it opts to run Hidden Power Fire and Celesteela runs 0 EVs in Special Defense, and Celesteela can OHKO it in return with Heavy Slam, granting it a free defense boost, Ferrothorn tends to run max SpD and therefore is barely even 2HKO'd by Hidden Power Fire sets. Mega Scizor isn't a common presence in the Ubers tier, but it is also unfazed by Mega Diancie's attacks, with the exception of a rare Hidden Power Fire, and can OHKO Mega Diancie with a priority Bullet Punch.

**Ground-types**: Both offensive and support variants of Arceus-Ground easily deal with Mega Diancie as they are able to outspeed it and OHKO it with powerful STAB attacks. Primal Groudon is able to OHKO Mega Diancie with Precipice Blades, but it should be noted that it is 2HKOed by Earth Power, Zygarde-C is able to OHKO Mega Diancie with Thousand Arrows after Stealth Rock damage, but it needs to be in its Complete forme in order to be able to tank a Moonblast.

**Primal Kyogre**: Primal Kyogre has more than enough bulk to take any of Mega Diancies hits and OHKO it with Origin Pulse.

**Arceus-Water and Arceus-Fairy**: Arceus-Water and Arceus-Fairy can recover off any of Mega Diancies attacks and wear it down with Judgement or Ice Beam in Arceus Water's case.

**Chansey**: Chansey has enough physical bulk thanks to its eviolite to shrug off any attack from Mega Diancie with Soft Boiled. It should be noted though that if it is not running seismic toss, it can't do anything back to Mega Diancie. Also variants that lack stoss and relies on Confide loses to CM diancie

**Faster Attackers and Revenge Killers**: Faster Attackers such as Choice Scarf Xerneas, Marshadow, Ultra Necrozma, Mega Lucario and Arceus-Ground can all outspeed Mega Diancie and KO it with their hard hitting attacks. Mega Scizor similarly can easily revenge-kill Mega Diancie, despite it being slower thanks to a technician boosted priority Bullet Punch.

Stoward

Ah, you're finally awake
Most of the stuff that you mentioned is GP stuff and this isn't close to GP stage, but I appreciate the check anyway :)

* Magic Bounce is a really useful ability, as it's able to prevent entry hazards from being set on the field, and also prevents its opponents from trying to spread status.
This is somewhat misleading. In practice, Diancie only really bounces stuff from completely passive mons like Lugia or Blissey, and the majority of hazard mons typically beat Diancie straight up. This means stall is Diancie's best matchup, the others are pretty bad. Magic Bounce is cool... but lacks practicality outside of risky switches to try and get use from it or when facing stall teams... which can still have Arceus-Ground to hard wall it.

* Rock/Fairy is a useful offensive typing, as it is able to check many defensive threats such as Ho-Oh, Lugia, Mega Sableye, Blissey and Tyranitar, as well as some offensive threats such as Yveltal.
Salamence and Rayquaza lacking Earthquake can also be offensively checked.

Change slots 3 and 4 to this:

move 3: Earth Power / Toxic
move 4: Stealth Rock / Heal Bell

Drop Endeavour to Moves, drop CM to OO. 4 slashes in a slot is crazy. The above slashing reflects Diancie's best niches which is vs stall or teams using Gira/Mence as the Defog mon, it makes SR typically the best choice for that slot. Toxic + SR trolls support Arceus despite the losing matchup where it otherwise would be useless against them. Heal Bell is Heal Bell, you can find use in it anywhere, but SR is still better utility for Primal Groudon's freedom (or Dusk).
Another useful perk of Diamond Storm is the fact that it has a 50% chance to boost Mega Diancie's defense by two stages.
Practical uses of this? hint:
0 Atk Groudon-Primal Precipice Blades vs. +2 0 HP / 0 Def Diancie-Mega: 200-236 (82.9 - 97.9%)
there are other notable calcs...

* 24 EVs in Attack guarantee a 2HKO on Blissey, meaning that it's unable to PP stall it with recover.
I can dig the first part but there's like zero chance Blissey would ever PP stall Diamond Storm when the chance to avoid the 2HKO is already miniscule regardless of attack investment.
Mega Diancie is a very matchup related Pokemon, as it can be a potential win condition against stall teams, after its defensive threats have been removed from the field, but against offensive teams, it is often just better to use it as death fodder, and to try and reflect hazards and the occasional status and wear down opposing threats, or potentially use it as an offensive cleric with Heal Bell.
huh? Diancie isn't THAT bad against offense. Its still a Flying-type resist and is faster than stuff like Primal Groudon before boosts. It can find room to do something.

I'll look at this more later.

Yeah true, added a point about how Mega Diancie is only really able to utilize Magic Bounce against stall further down in the overview. Magic Bounce is one of those things where it's one of Mega Diancie's best selling points in theory, but

Salamence and Rayquaza lacking Earthquake can also be offensively checked.

Yeah, that's a pretty neat selling point. When I wrote up this analysis, many of the Pdon sets from the old analysis ran attack investment, but considering only one set does, it's worth mentioning. Also removed Hasty Nature from the analysis, since it needs the defense in order to actually utilize Diamond Storm, Hasty is only really practical for CM sets, which is in OO now.

Yeah, I've probably made it out to be worse than it actually is against offense. I mean yeah it's useful to keep it healthy against Ygod and Mence and Ray squads without eq, but yeah, I'll reword this to say that against offensive teams, it's worth saving Mega Diancie so it can check those mons, or perhaps to use it to wear down other foes so that its teammates have an easier time sweeping.

Endeavor should be at the end of Moves as its not a slashed option. The ordering of Moves in general does not reflect the slashing when it should.

* Try to avoid directly switching Diancie into attacks, as it doesn't have access to any recovery.
It can make use of its resistance to Flying and Dark to switch in.
* Mega Diancie is a very matchup related Pokemon, as it can be a potential win condition against stall teams, after its defensive threats
which are?

The issue I had with usage tips earlier ("death fodder") has still not been fixed...

Scizor is mentioned in Steel-types and in "faster attackers and revenge killers". Ideally a mon should only be mentioned in one category of C&C.

There's a bunch of spacing errors going on here so fix those. I expect to see this properly implemented this time around.

Not QC, but I feel some parts of this analysis could be expanded on, especially team options, but besides from that it looks pretty solid.

Team options
I feel the following Pokemon should be added to team options
  • Water Arceus - Has a good defensive synergy, being able to check common Diancie answers such as Ground Arceus, helps out vs Groudon and reinforces against Ho-Oh and Mega Salamence. Will-o-Wisp variants in particular comes into mind here, being able to provide an answer against Necrozma-Dusk-Mane (which could set up on Diancie) and Mega Lucario etc. It also provides a Kygore pivot - Diancie tends sometimes tend to struggle vs Kyogre, especially offensive variants.
  • Marshadow - Life Orb sets make a good team option here as a revenge killing option, deal with common Ghost types such as Mega Gengar and provides a good offensive synergy, Marshadow appreciates Diancies ability to naturally deal with Yveltal and weaken common marshadow targets.
  • Yveltal - Similar to Marshadow, good offensive synergy, provides a offensive reliable ground immunity, helps combat Marshadow and Mega Gengar, Life Orb sets with taunt also best here to help deal with support Arceus formes that Diancie struggles against.
  • Necrozma Dusk Mane - Rock Polish + Swords Dance - provides a strong set up sweeper that appreciates Diancie's ability to deal with Ho-oh, Dark Arceus, and Zygarde,While DM is able to check Xerneas reliably. Dusk Mane is also able to deal with Water and Fairy Arceus if they don't have will-o-wisp, but has to be aware of ground arceus if trying to set up. Support Dusk Mane is also an option if the Diancie user decides to forgo Stealth Rock, being a strong support Steel type that shuts down support arc formes.
  • Zygarde - Both defensive and Dragon Dance fit Diancie teams quite well, giving essential checks to Primal groudon, Steel types. DD Salamence with EQ etc, Sub DD Zygarde in particular provides a good offensive synergy and appreciates Diancie dealing with the likes of Yveltal, though both struggle against Support Ground and Fairy Arceus so that one should invest in something to deal with these.
Mega Diancie is a very matchup related Pokemon, as it can be a potential win condition against stall teams, after its defensive threats such as support Arceus-Ground and Arceus-Water have been removed from the field
This could probably be expanded on a bit to help the newer users out - mention the bulky steels like Dusk Mane (Support laughs at Diancie because of Prism armour),Magearna, Scizor, Celesteela along with the support Arceus mentions.

That's all I have to comment on, if I missed anything, QC will pick up on it.

* Although it has a useful ability with Magic Bounce, it still loses to most of the common Entry Hazard setters in the tier such as Primal Groudon, Excadrill, Ferrothorn and Deoxys-S sets lacking Skill Swap,]
The last part is incorrect, gonna assume this is a typo and meant to be Deo-s sets with skill swap?

No mention of toxic in moves despite being a slash, mention what toxic does i.e statusing support arcs that commonly switch in, slight nitpick but move Stealth rock below Earth Power in moves section.

Good stuff otherwise, Implement the above

At the same time, its typing is a bit of a double-edged sword as it also loses to some of the most common offensive threats in the tier such as Primal Groudon, Dusk Mane Necrozma, Primal Kyogre, Marshadow, Mega-Lucario and Arceus Ground.
Being revenged by Marsh has nothing to do with Mega Dianice's typing, therefore removed Marshadow from this list.

It should be noted, that despite the brilliance of Mega Diancies ability, due to the fact that Mega Diancie's defensive typing isn't the best, combined with the fact that most of the common Hazard setters such as Primal Groudon, Excadrill, and Ferrothorn all beat it one-on-one.
This point is redundant with a previous point about hazard matchup. Merge them together.

Diamond Storm is really useful STAB 100 Base Power STAB move that hits flying-type Pokemon such as Ho-Oh and Lugia for super-effective damage. It also takes advantage of its High Physical attack stat and allows it to easily take care of Pokemon with large Special Defense such as Blissey, Primal Kyogre, Lugia, and Gothitelle. Another useful perk of Diamond Storm is the fact that it has a 50% chance to boost Mega Diancie's defense by two stages, allowing it to survive crucial attacks such as a Precipice Blades from a non-attack invested Primal Groudon.
Lugia is mentioned twice here. Fix, and make this point much more concise. Lugia can actually stall Diamond Storm, so it's not that great of a point to make in the first place.

Endeavor allows Mega Diancie to take advantage of its low HP stat and make offensive threats easier to wear down as it reduces its foes HP to the same number as its own.
Mention unlashed moves last please.

[OVERVIEW]

* Magic Bounce is a really useful ability, as it's able to prevent entry hazards from being set on the field,(RC) and also prevents its opponents Mega Diancie's foes from trying to spread status.
* Boasting a base 160 in both offensive stats, Mega Diancie is able to utilise utilize a mixed set incredibly well, being able to quite effectively dent through dedicated special or and physical walls, such as Blissey and Giratina.
* Rock / Fairy is a useful offensive typing, as it is able allows Mega Diancie to check many defensive threats such as Ho-Oh, Lugia, Mega Sableye, Blissey,(AC) and Tyranitar,(RC) as well as some offensive threats such as Yveltal, Mega Salamence, and Rayquaza—as long as they the latter two don't run Earthquake.
* At the same time, its typing is a bit of a double-edged sword as it also Mega Diancie loses to some of the most common offensive threats in the tier such as Primal Groudon, Dusk Mane Necrozma-(AH)DM, Primal Kyogre, Mega-(RH)Lucario,(AC) and Arceus Ground.
* Although it has a useful ability with in Magic Bounce, it Mega Diancie still loses to most of the common entry hazard setters in the tier such as Primal Groudon, Excadrill, Ferrothorn,(AC) and Skill Swap Deoxys-S sets with Skill Swap, therefore so it has to rely on other Pokemon in the tier to effectively keep entry hazards off the field. So as As a result, Mega Diancie can only really utilize its ability against more passive playstyles such as stall.
* Although base 110 in both defenses is quite respectable, its low HP stats,(RC) combined with the fact that it has to run a negative-defense nature that reduces bulk results in Mega Diancie being rather frail, even when those stats are boosted.
* Although a base 110 Base Speed is relatively impressive on paper, it should be noted that many of Mega Diancie's checks actually outspeed it, as support Arceus formes are opting opt to run enough Speed investment to outpace Mega Lucario,(RC) and other threats such as Xerneas are commonly running use a Choice Scarf.
* Due to the fact that Mega Diancie takes up a Mega slot,(RC) and the fact that Necrozma-DM and Arceus Ground are two of the most common Pokemon in the Ubers tier, it is often hard to justify Mega Diancie's placement on a team.

Moves
========

* STAB Moonblast allows Mega Diancie to take advantage of its Fairy-(RH)typing and hit a significant amount of the tier for neutral damage with a STAB 95 Base Power move. It’s It's also really useful for hitting Marshadow, Mega Salamence, Zygarde-C, Rayquaza, Mega Sableye,(AC) and Tyranitar.
* Diamond Storm is really a useful STAB 100-(AH)Base Power STAB move that hits Flying-type Pokemon such as Ho-Oh for super-(RH)effective damage. It also takes advantage of its High Physical attack Mega Diancie's high physical Attack stat and allows it to easily take care of Pokemon with large high Special Defense such as Blissey, Primal Kyogre, and Gothitelle. Another useful perk of Diamond Storm is the fact that it has a 50% chance to boost Mega Diancie's Defense by two stages, allowing it to survive crucial attacks such as a Precipice Blades from a non-attack invested an uninvested Primal Groudon.
* Earth Power is useful for dealing with common Fairy-(AH)resistant Pokemon resists such as Primal Groudon, Mega Gengar, Magearna, and Toxapex. It should be noted,(AC) though,(AC) that there are a large number of Steel-type Pokemon who that are unfazed by Mega Diancies Earth Powers, either due to a dual typing that means it takes lets them take neutral damage from Earth Power,(RC) or an ability combined with a lot of natural bulk that allows it them to take minimal damage from Earth Power.
* Toxic punishes just about every non-(AH)Steel- and Poison-type Pokemon that switches in, wearing them down and making them easier for Diancie or and other teammates to KO.
* Stealth Rock can be nice on Mega Diancie,(RC) as it means that teammates such as Necrozma-DM and Primal Groudon don't have to run it and are then capable of running more offensive sets.
* Heal Bell allows Mega Diancie to act as an offensive cleric,(RC) and can be very useful against offensive teams, where Mega Diancie can struggle to put in work,(RC) and therefore it can help its teammates by slightly wearing down opponents and curing them of status and slightly wearing down foes.
* Endeavor allows Mega Diancie to take advantage of its low HP stat and make offensive threats easier to wear down as it reduces its foes HP to the same number as its own. (Dex info)

* Maximum EVs in Speed let it Mega Diancie take advantage of its base 110 Speed tier.
* 24 EVs in Attack guarantee a 2HKO on Blissey, meaning that it's unable to PP stall it Mega Diancie with Recover.
* The remainder of the EVs are placed in Special Attack in order for maximum damage output.
* A Naive nature is chosen so that Mega Diancie is able to take advantage of its Speed stat and potential Defense boosts from Diamond Storm as well as effectively act as a mixed attacker.
* Diancite is required for Diancie to become Mega Diancie.

Usage Tips
========

* Try to mega-evolve Mega Evolve Diancie as soon as possible, as that way you're able to utilize it's its ability more effectively. It can be noted though Note that Clear Body can occasionally be useful when Sticky Webs are Web is on the field or to prevent intimidates Intimidate Attack drops from Salamence before it Mega Evolves, but in reality, this is still hard to justify not Mega Evolving, since Mega Diancie has a solid matchup against Sticky Web setters and is able to KO Mega Salamence with Moonblast anyway.
* While it is best to you should (repetition of "it is best" later in the sentence) avoid letting Mega Diancie take any damage at all, it is best to bring Mega Diancie in against status or utility moves or to bring it in against attacks that it resists such as Dark- and Flying-type moves.
* Although Diancie can quite easily gain a +2 Defense boost with Diamond Storm, it is still better to avoid letting it take super-(RH)effective physical attacks, as it is rarely able to survive these, even with a +2 defense boost at +2.
* Mega Diancie is a very matchup-(AH)dependent related Pokemon, as it can be a potential win condition wincon against stall teams,(RC) after its defensive threats such as support Arceus-Ground and Arceus-Water have been removed from the field, but against offensive teams, it is often just to use it Mega Diancie to try and to reflect entry hazards and the occasional status or utility moves and wear down opposing threats, or it could potentially be used it as an offensive cleric with Heal Bell.
* Although Diamond Storm provides great benefits, be wary that this move it only has 8 PP,(AC) so avoid using it religiously - liberally,(AC) especially against stall matchups, where Diamond Storm is essential for KOing threats such as Blissey and Ho-Oh.

Team Options
========

* Gothitelle makes a brilliant partner for Mega Diancie, as it can trap the support Arceus formes that threaten Mega Diancie,(RC) as well as other defensive Pokemon that pose a great threat to Mega Diancie such as Celesteela and Ferrothorn. It is also worth noting that Gothitelle + Mega Diancie beat every relevant Defogger in the tier one-on-one, which makes it easier for Mega Diancie to set up Stealth Rock and keep it on the field for the majority of the game.
* Necrozma Dusk Mane Necrozma-DM is a brilliant partner for Mega Diancie,(AC) as it is able to deal with Xerneas, Arceus-Water,(AC) and Arceus-Fairy—as long as they aren't it isn't running Will-O-Wisp—and it appreciates Mega Diancies Diancie's ability to deal with Ho-Oh and Yveltal,(RC) as well as the fact that Mega Diancie running and run Stealth Rock,(AC) which allows it to perform more offensive roles, such as sweeping with Rock Polish and Swords Dance. Support Necrozma-DM also makes a useful partner for Mega Diancie, as it is able to be a strong support Steel-type that shuts down other some support Arceus formes such as Arceus-Ground and Arceus-(AH)Fairy.
* Ho-Oh makes a nice team partner, as it can threaten the Steel-types that threaten Mega Diancie, and it also appreciates Mega Diancie’s Diancie's ability to prevent entry hazards from being set.
* Arceus-Ground is a useful team partner, as it provides the team with a secondary means of keeping hazards off the field with Defog, as well as threatens threatening many of the Ground- and Steel-type Pokemon that threaten beat Diancie, such as Primal Groudon, Excadrill, Mega Lucario, and Zygarde Complete Zygarde-C.
* Giratina-O can be nice as it can take advantage of the status that Mega Diancie can potentially reflect with Magic Bounce and appreciates Diancies Diancie's resistance to Dark-type attacks. Furthermore, it can help support Mega Diancie by Defogging away its hazards.
* Primal Groudon is also a nice partner for Mega Diancie,(AC) as it is able to check DM Necromza Necrozma-DM more effectively than Arceus Ground and is also an effective check to Xerneas.
* Both offensive and defensive variants of Zygarde-C make good team partners for Mega Diancie, as they provide the team with a check to Primal Groudon, Necrozma-DM, Earthquake Mega-(RH)Salamence sets running Earthquake, offensive Arceus-Ground sets, Mega Lucario,(AC) and also reinforces checks to Ho-Oh. Offensive variants of Zygarde-C particularly appreciate Diancies Diancie's ability to deal with Yveltal.
* Marshadow makes a nice offensive partner for Mega Diancie, as it provides teams with a means of threating threatening Necrozma-DM,(AC) and Ultra Necrozma, and common Ghost-types such as Mega Gengar, as well as provides providing teams with a means of priority, making it easier to clean off weakened foes thanks to Shadow Sneak. Marshadow also appreciates Mega Diancie as a team partner, as it is able to dealing with common threats to Marshadow it such as Yveltal,(RC) and reinforces checks against checking Mega Salamence and Ho-Oh,(AC) -(RH) which are two Pokemon that Marshadow can struggle with depending on whether it runs Hidden Power Ice or Rock Tomb as it's 4th moveslot.
* Arceus-Water makes a good defensive partner for Mega-(RH)Diancie, as it is able to check a number of Pokemon that Mega-(RH)Diancie struggles to deal with, such as Arceus-Ground, Primal Groudon, Ho-Oh, Mega Salamence, and Primal Kyogre sets lacking Thunder. Arceus-Water sets running Will-O-Wisp also have a decent matchup against Necrozma-DM and Mega-(RH)Lucario,(AC) as it resists their Steel-type attacks and can cripple their attack stat by burning burn them.
* Yveltal is a good offensive partner for Mega Diancie, as since it provides the team with a means of threatening threatens Necrozma-DM, Marshadow,(AC) and Mega Gengar. It also provides the team with a Ground immunity, which is crucial to have in a metagame dominated by Primal Groudon.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Hidden Power Fire can be a nice lure surprise attack (Mega Diancie is the lure, not the move), potentially OHKOing Mega Scizor after Stealth Rock damage and 2HKOing Ferrothorn, who which are both otherwise relatively unfazed by Mega Diancie’s Attacks Diancie's attacks. However, this can only be used when predicting that either of these Pokemon are going to switching in, as both of them are able to OHKO Mega Diancie before it can actually attack.
* Calm Mind can be a useful move,(AC) as it boosts Mega Diancie's Special Attack and Special Defense by one stage, and is a brilliant move against defensive teams, as it makes it making it a lot harder to switch into and a lot harder for defensive teams to wear down, since Magic Bounce grants Mega Diancie an immunity to Taunt and status moves,(RC).(period) However,(AC) Mega Diancie only really gets to take advantage of Calm Mind in matchups against stall, which,(AC) considering that Mega Diancie's best matchup is already against stall, it's makes it hard to justify using Calm Mind over any of its other common moves.
* Protect can be used to allow Diancie to Mega Evolve without having to take any damage doing so. It can also be useful for scouting for super-(RH)effective coverage moves. However, it Diancie struggles to find the moveslot to run it, as it already struggles between the options of Heal Bell, Endeavor, or and Stealth Rock.
* Magnet Rise can be useful for dealing with Primal Groudon, as it Mega Diancie can then 2HKO it with Earth Power. However, most Pokemon with Ground-type attacks are still able to beat it Mega Diancie in a one-(AH)on-(AH)one situation, as Zygarde is able to hit levitating Pokemon it with Thousand Arrows,(RC) regardless and Arceus Ground and Mega Gengar (Mega Gengar doesn't use Ground attacks) outspeeds it and Dugtrio, albeit rare, has to run an adamant nature in order to trap and KO Primal Groudon with Groundium Z and is therefore outsped and OHKOed by Moonblast, so it ends up being a waste of a moveslot anyway. (This isn't an example of how Diancie loses to Pokemon with Ground attacks. In fact, it's the opposite, and I don't see crucial info being left out by deleting this)
* Rock Polish can boost its speed Mega Diancie's Speed, potentially giving it a more offensive presence,(RC) and making it harder to be revenge killed by faster Pokemon in the tier such as Marshadow,(RC);(SC) however,(AC) Mega Diancie it still faces the issues of failing to KO many of the Pokemon that threaten it, as Mega Lucario and Mega Scizor are unfazed by how much Speed Mega Diancie is running have access to priority Bullet Punch, and Dusk-Mane Necrozma,(RC) Necrozma-DM and Arceus-Ground and having them can KO back Mega Diancie in return.(period),(RC) and it Rock Polish also prevents it from running more effective moves such as Stealth Rock and Heal Bell.
* Power Gem and a Timid nature can be ran in place of Diamond Storm to make Mega Diancie a full special sweeper, however,(RC) but it should be noted that it struggles immensly immensely against special walls, as it has to get to +6 in order to be able to 2HKO Chansey with Moonblast.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Diancie has a 4x weakness to Steel-type attacks and therefore finds even the most passive of Steel-type Pokemon to be very threatening. Although Mega Diancie runs Earth Power or occasionally Hidden Power Fire as an attempt to combat Steel-type Pokemon, there are many Steel-types in the Ubers tier that are relatively unfazed by it those moves,(AC) as they have a significant amount of natural bulk,(RC) or they are blessed with a dual-(RH)typing that makes them take neutral damage from it them. For example, Celesteela is a hard-(AH)counter to Mega Diancie, as Mega Diancie it fails to 2HKO Celesteela, even if it opts to run Hidden Power Fire, and Celesteela runs 0 EVs in Special Defense,(RC) and Celesteela can OHKO it in return with Heavy Slam, granting it a free Defense boost,(RC).(period) Ferrothorn tends to run maximum Special Defense investment SpD and therefore is barely even 2HKO'd 2HKOed by Hidden Power Fire sets. Mega Scizor isn't a common presence in the Ubers tier, but it (I wouldn't say that, it's the first mon in B+) is also unfazed by Mega Diancie's attacks, with the exeption exception of a the rare Hidden Power Fire, and can OHKO Mega Diancie with a priority Bullet Punch.

**Ground-types**: Both offensive and support variants of Arceus-Ground easily deal with Mega Diancie,(AC) as they are able to outspeed it and OHKO it with powerful STAB attacks. Primal Groudon is able to OHKO Mega Diancie with Precipice Blades, but it should be noted that it is 2HKOed by Earth Power,(RC).(period) Zygarde-C is able to OHKO Mega Diancie with Thousand Arrows after Stealth Rock damage, but it needs to be in its Complete forme in order to be able to tank a Moonblast.

**Primal Kyogre**: Primal Kyogre has more than enough bulk to take any of Mega Diancies Diancie's hits and OHKO it with Origin Pulse.

**Arceus-Water and Arceus-Fairy**: Arceus-Water and Arceus-Fairy can Recover off damage taken from any of Mega Diancies Diancie's attacks and wear it down with Judgement Judgment or Ice Beam in Arceus-(AH)Water's case.

**Chansey**: Chansey has enough physical bulk thanks to its Eviolite to shrug off any attack from Mega Diancie with Soft-(AH)Boiled. It should be noted,(AC) though,(AC) that if it is not running Seismic Toss, it can't do anything back to Mega Diancie.

**Faster Attackers and Revenge Killers**: Faster attackers such as Choice Scarf Xerneas, Marshadow, Ultra Necrozma, Mega Lucario,(AC) and Arceus-Ground can all outspeed Mega Diancie and KO it with their hard-(AH)hitting attacks.

* Giratina-O can take advantage of the status that Mega Diancie can potentially reflect with Magic Bounce and appreciates Diancie's resistance to Dark-type attacks. Furthermore, it can help support Mega Diancie by Defogging away hazards.
* Primal Groudon is also a nice partner for Mega Diancie, as it is able to check Necrozma-DM more effectively than Arceus Ground Arceus-Ground and is also an effective check to Xerneas.
* Marshadow makes a nice offensive partner for Mega Diancie, as it provides teams with a means of threatening Necrozma-DM, and Ultra Necrozma, and common Ghost-types such as Mega Gengar, as well as providing teams with priority, making it easier to clean off weakened foes thanks to Shadow Sneak.

Other Options
=============

* Hidden Power Fire can be a nice surprise attack, potentially OHKOing Mega Scizor after Stealth Rock damage and 2HKOing Ferrothorn, which are both otherwise relatively unfazed by Mega Diancie's attacks. However, this can only be used when predicting either of these Pokemon switching in, as both of them are able to OHKO Mega Diancie before it can actually attack. (Ferro doesn't move before mega diancie)
* Calm Mind can be a useful move,(AC) as move, as it boosts Mega Diancie's Special Attack and Special Defense by one stage, making it a lot harder to switch into and a lot harder for defensive teams to wear down, since Magic Bounce grants Mega Diancie an immunity to Taunt and status moves. However, Mega Diancie only really gets to take advantage of Calm Mind in matchups against stall, which,(AC) considering which, considering that Mega Diancie's best matchup is already against stall, makes it hard to justify over any of its other common moves.
* Protect can be used to allow Diancie to Mega Evolve without having to take any damage doing so. It can also be useful for scouting for supereffective super effective coverage moves.
However, most Pokemon with Ground-type attacks are still able to beat Mega Diancie in a one-on-one situation, as Zygarde is able to hit it with Thousand Arrows regardless and Arceus Ground Arceus-Ground outspeeds it.
* Rock Polish can boost Mega Diancie's Speed, potentially giving it more offensive presence, and presence, and making it harder to be revenge killed by faster Pokemon in the tier such as Marshadow; however, Mega Diancie still faces the issues of failing to KO many of the Pokemon that threaten it, as Mega Lucario and Mega Scizor have access to priority Bullet Punch, and Necrozma-DM and Arceus-Ground can KO Mega Diancie in return.(period), Rock return. Rock Polish also prevents it from running more effective moves such as Stealth Rock and Heal Bell.
* Power Gem and a Timid nature can be ran run in place of Diamond Storm to make Mega Diancie a full special sweeper, but it should be noted that it struggles immensely against special walls, as it has to get to +6 in order to be able to 2HKO Chansey with Moonblast. (Specify that Calm Mind is also used on this set, since you mention mega diancie being at +6)

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Diancie has a 4x weakness to Steel-type attacks and therefore finds even the most passive of Steel-type Pokemon to be very threatening. Although Mega Diancie runs Earth Power or occasionally Hidden Power Fire as an attempt to combat Steel-type Pokemon, there are many Steel-types in the tier that are relatively unfazed by those moves, as they have a significant amount of natural bulk or a dual secondary typing that makes them take neutral damage from them. For example, Celesteela is a hard-(AH)counter hard-counter to Mega Diancie, as it fails to 2HKO Celesteela, even if it opts to run Hidden Power Fire, and Celesteela can OHKO it in return with Heavy Slam, granting it a Slam to get a free Defense boost.

**Ground-types**: Both offensive and support variants of Arceus-Ground easily deal with Mega Diancie,(AC) as Diancie, as they are able to outspeed it and OHKO it with powerful STAB attacks.

**Faster Attackers and Revenge Killers**: Faster attackers such as Choice Scarf Xerneas, Marshadow, Ultra Necrozma, Mega Lucario, and Arceus-Ground Arceus-Ground, and Choice Scarf Xerneas can all outspeed Mega Diancie and KO it with their hard-hitting attacks.
