Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power Ice
- Overheat / Flamethrower

Mega Manectric's set allows it to apply pressure to a large number of tier staples, including Togekiss, Suicune, and Azumarill, consistently forcing them out and grabbing momentum. This combined with Intimidate, which compensates for otherwise lacking durability, lets it solidify a place on several offensive teams as one of the best specially offensive pivots available. Manectric is also fully capable of pairing well with other offensive pivots, including Infernape and Scizor, due to the great offensive synergy it has with them by virtue of its typing and coverage. However, Mega Manectric's typing, while good offensively, leaves it vulnerable to some of the tier's several bulky Ground-types, such as Swampert and Hippowdon, with bulk that leaves it fairly reliant on Intimidate to stomach most hits. Its fragility also prevents it from combating the tier's several Choice Scarf users that can outrun and threaten it like Infernape, Latias, and Hydreigon.

Here's a tournament replay that perfectly showcases Mega Manectric's ability to force switches and act as a big nuisance to the opponent:

You say "with bulk that leaves it fairly reliant on Intimidate" without even mentioning it previously, which sounded weird to me. A thing some others have done as well is listing replays, if you have any and wanna do that it doesn't seem like too bad of an idea.

>Its access to Hidden Power Ice allows it to cover Dragon-types that otherwise switch in for free, while Overheat and Flamethrower both provide it with a method of powering through a few other common Electric-resists, mainly Serperior and Gliscor.

How does Overheat help it against Gliscor? Wouldn't Hidden Power Ice do that? You could probably say Amoonguss here instead of Gliscor. It also might be worth mentioning somewhere that Mega Manectric works really well with U-turn users.

Ever since its introduction in SM, Mega Manectric has been as striking a presence in the UU metagame as the thunderbolt on its body. (we don't really care for a spotlight how it was like upon introduction) It possesses a fantastic Speed tier upon its Mega Evolution, which in tandem with its typing and high Special Attack, (rc) (not really necessary) Mega Manectric's set allows it to apply pressure to a large amountnumber of tier staples, including Togekiss, Suicune, and Azumarill, (ac) consistently forcing them out and grabbing momentum. Its access to Hidden Power Ice allows it to cover Dragon-types that otherwise switch in for free, while Overheat and Flamethrower both provide it with a method of powering through a few other common Electric-resists, mainly Serperior and Amoonguss. Because of these fantastic coverage options alongside, Mega Manectric is capable of consistently forcing switches and thus grabbing momentum with its powerful STAB Volt Switch. Its mere offensive prowess alongside(it's not an analysis; you don't need to say what every single move does) This combined with Intimidate, which compensates for otherwise lacking durability, lets it solidify a place on several offensive teams as one of the best specially offensive pivots available (shifted this from the end), (rc) and limits the defensive counterplay of multiple opposing teams. However, Mega Manectric's typing, while good offensively, leaves it vulnerable to some of the tier's several bulky Ground-types, such as Swampert and Hippowdon, with bulk that leaves it fairly reliant on Intimidate to stomach most hits. Its fragility also prevents it from combating the tier's several Choice Scarf users that can outrun and threaten it, (rc) like Infernape, Latias, and Hydreigon. Regardless, Mega Manectric is among UU's most defining Mega Evolutions and deserves recognition as quite possibly the best specially offensive pivot available.(there's definitely room to bring in stuff like VoltTurn partners that can support Manectric's role)

I was pretty liberal with my changes, since this tbh read more like an excerpt from the analysis than a spotlight, which made it way too long. There's no need to go so in depth regarding what each specific thing does; just talk about stuff like its role, why it's good on a team, what it has issues with, and what supports it. I'm sure there's a ton of replays even from just SPL with this mon btw.
