[OVERVIEW]

* Necrozma can fill a variety of different roles; differing from a Stealth Rock setter to a Swords Dance sweeper to even a Choice Specs wallbreaker, this is possible thanks to its wide movepool and decent offensive stats.
* Necrozma's ability, Prism Armor, means it doesn't have to worry about Super Effective moves from Pokemon like Defensive Scizor, Alolan Muk, and Doublade that badly.
* Photon Geyser is Necrozma's signature attack; no other Pokemon has access to it. It's a remarkable attack as it can hit Pokemon on both their Defense or Special Defense stat, leaving the opponent at a guess.
* Necrozma's pure Psychic typing is pretty bad defensively because it leaves Necrozma weak to Pokemon like Hydreigon, Mega Sharpedo, and Mega Beedrill; coupled with its relatively underwhelming defensive stats, this means Necrozma can't act as a wall despite of its access to Prism Armor.
* Necrozma suffers a bit from four-moveslot syndrome because, it sometimes misses out on hitting Pokemon like Latias and Doublade, despite wanting to, as it simply doesn't have enough moveslots for it.
* Necrozma might struggle against common walls like Blissey, Alomomola, and Moltes but, between its variety of sets it's capable of overwhelming these Pokemon.

[SET]
name: Stealth Rock
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Photon Geyser
move 3: Heat Wave
move 4: Knock Off
item: Mind Plate / Life Orb
ability: Prism Armor
nature: Timid
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Stealth Rock is Necrozma's main way of supporting its team, it's an effective setter of Stealth Rock because of its ability to threaten common Defog users.
* Photon Geyser is Necrozma's best and most consistent STAB attack as it lacks any drawbacks.
* Heat Wave allows Necrozma to threaten Steel-types like Scizor and Klefki, which deter Necrozma from spamming Photon Geyser.
* Knock Off provides very useful utility for Necrozma's team because of its ability to remove items from Pokemon like Doublade, Blissey, Alolan Marowak, and Latias, to cripple them.
* Power Gem may be used instead of Knock Off to threaten Moltres, but, the utility that Knock Off provides is sometimes too good to pass up on.

Set Details
========

* Maximum Special Attack investment allows Necrozma to hit as hard as possible.
* Maximum Speed investment in tandem with a Timid nature allows Necrozma to outpace Pokemon like Scizor, Tentacruel, and Gliscor.
* Prism Armor is Necrozma's only ability and allows it to take Super Effective hits from Pokemon like Alolan Muk, Jellicent, and Krookodile better.
* Mind Plate enhances Photon Geyser's power and allows it to reliably 2HKO Gliscor.
* Life Orb can be used instead of Mind Plate to boost all of Necrozma's moves, but the fact that it wears down Necrozma means it isn't as consistent with setting up Stealth Rock.
* An alternative spread of 252 HP / 24 SpA / 232 Spe with a Modest nature and Leftovers as item can be used; 232 Speed investment lets Necrozma outspeed Jolly Scizor and gives a better, more reliable way of setting up hazards.

Usage Tips
========

* Try to set up Stealth Rock as soon as possible, preferably early-game, as this lets it support its team immediately. Necrozma forces a lot of switches due to its raw power and can use these switches to set up Stealth Rock for free. It can force switches against Pokemon like Amoonguss, Tentacruel, and Hippowdon.
* Use Necrozma's coverage moves accordingly to what's on the opposing side of the field; use Heat Wave when Scizor is on the field and use Power Gem if Moltres is on the field, for example.
* Photon Geyser is Necrozma's best STAB attack and should be used as efficiently as possible because it only has 8 PP. It can be used efficiently to take out Pokemon like Amoonguss, Tentacruel, Lucario, and Kommo-o.
* After Necrozma has set-up Stealth Rock it can switch into certain Pokemon like Tentacruel, Amoonguss, Alomomola, and Hippowdon to fire off powerful attacks.
* Try to avoid any status ailment, as they all cripple Necrozma.

Team Options
========

* Wallbreakers like Heracross, Scizor, Terrakion, and Azumarill appreciate the Stealth Rock support that Necrozma offers since it allows them to net a few KOs they'd otherwise miss out on.
* Similarly, set up sweepers like Azumarill, Scizor, and Nasty Plot Infernape also appreciate Necrozma's ability to set up Stealth Rock because it wears down the opposing team for them to sweep.
* Necrozma gets heavily crippled by status ailments like poison and burn, thanks to this clerical support from Pokemon like Sylveon and Togekiss is almost a necessity.
* Pokemon like Mega Altaria, Primarina, and Cobalion are capable of checking Dark-type Pokemon for Necrozma, which it greatly appreciates.
* Other Pokemon like Krookodile and Mega Beedrill can also check Dark-types for Necrozma, along with Psychic-types.
* Pursuit trappers like Alolan Muk and Krookodile are useful to check Ghost-types, which Necrozma tends to struggle against.

[SET]
Name: Choice Specs
Move 1: Photon Geyser
Move 2: Earth Power
Move 3: Heat Wave
Move 4: Signal Beam
Item: Choice Specs
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Photon Geyser is Necrozma's most powerful STAB move and doesn't hold a drawback.
* Earth Power can be used to let Necrozma deal with Alolan Muk.
* Heat Wave is used to deal with Steel-types like Mega Aggron and Scizor, which, stop Necrozma from using Photon Geyser all the time.
* Signal Beam lets Necrozma deal with Dark-type Pokemon like Krookodile and Mega Absol, which are immune to Photon Geyser.
* Power Gem can be used instead of Earth Power as it allows Necrozma to deal with Moltres easier, which it'd otherwise be unable to do thanks to Moltres's ability; Pressure.

Set Details
========

* Maximum Special Attack investment in conjunction with maximum Speed investment and a Timid nature maximize Necrozma's offensive potential.
* Prism Armor is Necrozma's only ability and allows it to take Super Effective hits from Pokemon like Defensive Scizor and Mega Absol better.
* Choice Specs enhances Necrozma's power and turns it into a powerful wallbreaker.

Usage Tips
========

* Try to pivot Necrozma in early- to mid-game for it to wallbreak as soon as possible.
* With this set Photon Geyser should be spammed as much as possible as it does a great amount of damage to any Pokemon that doesn't resist it or is a Specially Defensive wall.
* Choice Specs Necrozma forces a lot of switches; try to predict whatever may be used to switch in and choose the move that is appropriate to hitting the target upon switch in, for example, if Scizor is predicted to switch in while the opponent may have Tentacruel in, it might be wise to use Heat Wave to hit Scizor on its switch in for a lot of damage.

Team Options
========

* Pokemon like Mega Altaria, Terrakion, Azumarill, Primarina, and Cobalion are capable of checking Dark-types, Necrozma appreciates this because Dark-type Pokemon deter Photon Geyser spam.
* Dark- and Ghost-type Pokemon such as Alolan Muk, Mega Sharpedo, Mega Houndoom, and Gengar are capable of checking Ghost- and Psychic-types that Necrozma tends to struggle against.
* Pokemon that are capable of setting entry hazards for Necrozma like Swampert, Terrakion, and Mamoswine bring consistent chip damage to the opposing team; making it easier for Necrozma to break through the opposing team.
* Pokemon that can clean late-game like Serperior, Mega Beedrill, and Choice Scarf Terrakion appreciate Necrozma's ability to weaken walls.

[SET]
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Photon Geyser
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Stone Edge / Knock Off
item: Groundium Z
ability: Prism Armor
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Swords Dance allows Necrozma to boost its power to tremendously high levels; making it a powerful set up sweeper.
* Photon Geyser is Necrozma's main STAB move as it's very powerful and lacks any form of drawback.
* Earthquake allows Necrozma to break through Steel-type Pokemon like Mega Aggron. A Swords Dance-boosted Tectonic Rage can OHKO offensive variants of Scizor and has a chance to OHKO bulky variants after Stealth Rock damage.
* Stone Edge provides perfect coverage in tandem with Earthquake and allows it to hit Mandibuzz, which is immune to both Photon Geyser and Earthquake.
* Knock Off allows Necrozma to hit Latias, Celebi, and Bronzong for Super Effective damage, it also carries useful utility in the ability to remove items from foes like Doublade, Blissey, Alomomola, and Moltres.

Set Details
========

* Maximum Attack investment in conjunction with Maximum Speed investment and a Jolly nature maximizes Necrozma's offensive presence.
* Prism Armor is Necrozma's only ability and allows it to take Super Effective hits from Pokemon like Alolan Muk and Doublade better.
* Groundium Z is used since it allows Necrozma to deal with pesky Steel-types that deter the use of Photon Geyser.
* Psychium Z allows Necrozma to break past Gliscor and Hippowdon, but the ability to beat Steel-types will almost always eclipse this.

Usage Tips
========

* Swords Dance Necrozma is best used as an early- to mid-game sweeper, but it's not limited to this as it can also be used as a wincon late-game.
* In contrary to Necrozma's Stealth Rock set this set wants to use Photon Geyser as much as possible because, it is Necrozma's strongest move.
* Use Swords Dance on passive Pokemon that Necrozma can force out such as Amoonguss, Tentacruel, and Blissey.
* Preserve the use of Necrozma's Techtonic Rage for when it's up against a Steel-type like Scizor and Cobalion, or a Pokemon that it can't knock out with another move, like Mega Altaria.
* Consider if the Pokemon that Necrozma is up against is known to carry a way to induce a status ailment like burn or paralysis because this heavily cripples it.

Team Options
========

* Pokemon that can set up hazards like Gliscor, Cobalion, and Hippowdon are good teammates for Necrozma because, they provide consistent chip damage; easing up Necrozma's job.
* Swords Dance Necrozma gets crippled a lot by the 3 common status ailments in burn, paralysis, and poison thus making clerical support vital for it.
* Fairy- and Fighting-type Pokemon like Azumarill, Primarina, Mega Altaria, Terrakion, and Cobalion are able to check Dark-types for Necrozma, which it tends to struggle against.
* Dark- and Ghost-type Pokemon like Alolan Muk, Krookodile, Hydreigon, and Chandelure can pressure Ghost- and Psychic-types for Necrozma, which it greatly appreciates.
* Necrozma is capable of luring in and removing Steel-types for its teammates, Pokemon like Mega Pidgeot, Mega Altaria, and Snorlax struggle against Steel-types and thus appreciate this trait of Necrozma.
* Pokemon such as Scizor, Mega Manectric, and Zygarde-10% can clean up late-game after Necrozma has weakened the opposing team make for excellent teammates.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* An offensive Calm Mind set can be used to turn Necrozma into a Special Attacking wincon, but this is generally worse than Swords Dance as it takes longer to become an offensive threat.
* A Stored Power set that is more defensively orientated consisting of Morning Sun / Calm Mind / Stored Power / Rock Polish can be used too but Necrozma gets walled by Dark-types and is susceptible to Toxic, making it a rather poor choice.
* A set that utilizes Autotomize along with Weakness Policy may be used to become a very fast and powerful wallbreaker, but it's overly reliant on getting hit by a super effective move

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Dark-type Pokemon like Hydreigon, Mega Sharpedo, Alolan Muk, and Mega Houndoom discourage the use of Photon Geyser and can threaten Necrozma with their respective STAB moves.

**Status**: Necrozma is very easy to chip down, thus making it weak to status ailments like poison and burn. Paralysis can also be rather annoying, especially for Necrozma's Swords Dance set because it slows down Necrozma and stops it from wallbreaking or sweeping properly.

**Ghost-types**: Gengar, Chandelure, and Cofagrigus can threaten Necrozma with their STAB moves, Chandelure and Gengar can OHKO it with Shadow Ball while Cofagrigus can set up on it or OHKO it with Never-Ending Nightmare

**Bug-types**: Bug-types such as Scizor and Mega Beedrill can threaten Necrozma with their respective STAB moves, although they don't come close to OHKOing it.

**Strong Wallbreakers**: Strong wallbreakers like Choice Band Scizor, Choice Band Infernape, Choice Specs Hydreigon, and Choice Band Azumarill can easily overwhelm Necrozma due to its sub-par defensive stats and bad defensive typing.

Overview
* I'd attribute Necrozma's offensive versatility to not only its movepool, but its decent offensive stats, so do that in your first line.
* Talk about Photon Geyser here and why it helps Necrozma define a niche for itself.
* I think here would be a good place to mention that Necrozma can tend to suffer from four-moveslot syndrome. In saying this, specifically mention some of the things it can tend to miss out on, like Latias at times and Doublade.

Set: Stealth Rock
Set
* Indeed change the EV spread to what you asked us to change to. Mind Plate is fine for the item but make sure Life Orb is also slashed alongside it.
* Deslash Power Gem. It really only needs a mention in moves and not a slash, considering that it really only looks to hit one Pokemon. This would make Knock Off the only thing in the fourth slot btw.

Moves
* Instead of specifically saying that Photon Geyser can hit Fighting- and Poison-types super effectively, I'd just go and say that it's a consistent, powerful STAB attack that lacks drawbacks and leave it at that.
* Aggron isn't 2HKOed by Heat Wave and can cripple Necrozma with Toxic and additional Heavy Damage chip before going down. Due to this I think Klekfi or Cobalion is a better example of a Heat Wave target.
* Put the Knock Off line before the Power Gem line and be sure to reflect the wording to make Knock Off seem like the slightly more preferable option.
* Remove the Seismitoad mention and replace the Moltres example in Knock Off with Latias, which is a notable target of the move.

Set Details
* Adjust your EV points to address the new spread. This also means that you have to now make bullet points for Mind Plate and Life Orb and remove the one for Leftovers.
* Talk about an alternative spread of 252 HP / 24 SpA / 232 Spe with a Modest nature here. Say it's enough for Necrozma to outpace Jolly Scizor while more heavily investing in bulk, which can result in more reliable setup of hazards.
* Your examples in the Prism Armor line are the same as in your overview, so I'd suggest changing it up. Jellicent and Pursuit-locked Krookodile work as examples.

Usage Tips
* Add in your first line that Stealth Rock can be used as Necrozma forces switches. From there, talk about switches it can force in order to set the entry hazard.
* Elaborate as to how you can efficiently use Photon Geyser.
* If you want to further add to this section, you can definitely consider adding in examples of when Necrozma can switch in to begin firing off attacks or setting Stealth Rock, like against Tentacruel and Amoonguss, preferably after it's used Spore.

Team Options
* Replace your Feraligatr and Kommo-O examples, as there are absolutely better setup sweepers in the metagame. Cobalion, NP Infernape, and Celebi can all be used as examples.
* You have a few too many examples listed in your line on Dark-type checks, so I'd remove Azumarill and Terrakion since those are already mentioned earlier in this section.
* (on your last line) I'd argue that a line on Ghost- and Psychic-type checks and another line on Ghost-type checks is more appropriate than what you currently have, since otherwise it's a little confusing citing Mega Beedrill as a Ghost-type check. Make sure all of your examples are relevant.

Set: Swords Dance (don't add X-Scissor + Buginium btw, isn't necessary as a lure)
Moves
* Again, I'd just list Photon Geyser as a powerful move, possibly state that it can do some massive damage to even bulky walls after a boost.
* The Earthquake line's wording is messy and run-on. Try cleaning it up a little bit and consider just talking about Tectonic Rage in a whole other sentence.
* I think it's less important to list what Pokemon will have their items removed when Knock Off hits some pretty important targets. List Latias, Celebi, and Bronzong as particular targets of the move instead of focusing on what it can remove items from.

Set Details
* Add Psychium Z in this section and say that it can break past bulkier foes like Gliscor and Hippowdon, but generally doesn't compare to the utility of breaking past Steel-types that Groundium Z can provide.

Usage Tips
* 'when it's up against a Steel-type or a Pokemon that it can't knock out with another move' - give examples here.

Team Options
* Remove the Seismitoad mention.
* Terrakion and Cobalion aren't Fairy-types lol, remove them from that section.
* Five examples is too much, so remove Mega Absol as an example of a Dark-type.
* Give some examples in your last line.

Set: Choice Specs
Move this set before the Swords Dance set btw
Moves
* Do the same thing in the Photon Geyser line that I've had you do in your previous sections.
* Remove Power Gem as a slash, Photon Geyser hits Moltres pretty hard so Earth Power is generally a lot more preferable. In doing this be sure to move Power Gem to the bottom of the section.
* 'Deter the use of Photon Geyser' is way too commonly used throughout this analysis, please find another way of saying that here.
* Give examples of Dark-types that are hit by Signal Beam.

Set Details
* You need to find examples that are different than Alolan Muk and Doublade, you use those too frequently when discussing Prism Armor's use. Defensive Scizor can work as an example here.

Usage Tips
* This section absolutely needs to be fleshed out more. Talk about when to pivot Necrozma into play with one line, discuss when to begin wallbreaking with it in another, and possibly elaborate on predicting properly through giving some examples.

Team Options
* Change up your examples of Dark-type checks, the ones you have listed here have consistently been used throughout this entire analysis and that's honestly just sort of lazy.
* You also have the exact same examples of Dark- and Ghost-types in this section, change that up as well.
* Change up your entry hazard setting examples as well. Again, those are identical to the previous Team Options section.

Other Options
* Elaborate as to why Calm Mind isn't as good as Swords Dance (takes longer to become offensively threatening).
* Add in a Weakness Policy + Autotomize set here and say that it can adequately lure in Alolan Muk and other threats, but is also very situationally useful due to the reliance on being hit super effectively.

Checks and Counters
* Replace the Mega Absol example with Mega Houndoom.
* Add Gengar in the Ghost-type section.
* It's a Bug-type section, you absolutely need to include Scizor. I'd also remove Venomoth, as it's not really relevant at all at this stage in the meta.
* Go ahead and add in a strong wallbreakers section, as well as a steel-type section.

This is a lot to change, but since I trust you as a writer to implement it all I'm just going to stamp this now. Please make sure in the future that your wording isn't identical between sections, that's just lazy and isn't indicative of the actual capabilities you have as a writer, which otherwise are quite good. QC 1/3, make sure everything here is implemented

I've implemented everything and touched up my wording in some parts.

Felixx

I'm back.
not a QC team member, but I think it's worth mentioning that Photon Geyser ignores abilities, which means that SD Necrozma can't be walled by unaware Quag
