New to competitive Pokemon

I'm new to competitive pokemon in X/Y and I need help building a team and have a few questions (they will be farther down in the post). I plan on running a graninja with protean, Rotom-Wash and Mega Kang.

Questions:
Is it worth it to run trick room team in X/Y?

Is smeargal worth it to run in doubles?

Are dragons still worth it to run?

Short answers: Yes, in VGC but not Doubles, yes.
