Pokémon that are great competitively but suck in-game (and vice versa)

Clefable's also decent in-game in FRLG for the same reasons. Makes a great powerhouse to take on Misty due to how early you evolve it too; which is nice because it's honestly one of the harder fights in the game if you're not prepared. Power starts to peter out late-game however and it doesn't get any particularly good moves aside from Double Edge to make up for that, so it's more or less kind of average.
