Welcome to the SV PU Winter Seasonal! Entering in this seasonal earns you points for an overall PU leaderboard and will go towards your chances to win the coveted PU Circuit Ribbon!

This is the first tournament of the 2024 PU Circuit, so it's your first chance to earn points in order to qualify for PU Circuit Playoffs!

Tour Specific Rules:

• This is a standard SV PU tournament.
• Best of three, double elimination.
• Matches are to be played on Pokémon Showdown.
• All matches are to be played in [Gen 9] PU. If a ban or unban to the tier occurs during a round, the change will take effect as of the following round.

Standard Rules and Clauses:

• General tournament rules and regulations can be found here
• Species Clause: A player cannot have two Pokémon with the same Pokédex number on his team.
• Evasion Clause: The moves Double Team and Minimize are banned.
• OHKO Clause: The moves Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, and Fissure are banned.
• Endless Battle Clause: Anything capable of intentionally creating an endless battle is banned.
• Sleep Moves Clause: Sleep-inducing moves are banned

FINALLY won a seasonal. I've wanted to win a seasonal so badly but always fell short after coming close multiple times; most certainly wasn't expecting to win from loser's bracket so had my expectations low but somehow managed to do it. Didn't really get much help from anyone but thank you to Danny/asa for the Golurk team .

Before set2 g3 i made coalossal heavy slam cause i knew the cm florg was coming, which im pretty certain wins me the tournament. But i changed it on PS and not on Stours... gonna be kicking myself for that, what an unfortunate way to self goob in a final game of a finals


GG to dugza tho. He's great, and i didn't just lose cause of that PS mistake. set 1 i played worse and used some untested stuff (commander tatsu lol), set 2 made bad fast clicks when things didn't go my way which is something to polish for future tournaments.
