RU Rotom-Heat [QC 3/3] (GP 2/2) Written

[OVERVIEW]

Rotom-H supports bulky offensive teams with its ability to provide Volt Switch support and beat a plethora of Stealth Rock setters like Bronzong and Mega Steelix with Overheat + Defog. Its wide movepool also gives it the ability to choose between running Will-O-Wisp, Pain Split, Hidden Power Ice, and Thunderbolt in its last moveslot. In addition, it sports an amazing defensive typing that lets it switch in and check attackers such as Vanilluxe, Klinklang, Ribombee, Shaymin, and Moltres and beat Ground-types like Nidoqueen. However, although Rotom-H is superior to its counterpart Rotom-C in the way that it beats Steel-type Stealth Rock setters and checks attackers like Mega Abomasnow, it struggles much more heavily than Rotom-C against other Stealth Rock users like Rhyperior. Rotom-H's crippling weakness to Stealth Rock and lack of reliable recovery mean that it'll have trouble switching into some of the Pokemon it can check multiple times throughout games. Furthermore, Overheat's Special Attack drop makes Rotom-H vulnerable to setup sweepers.

[SET COMMENTS]

Moves
========

Defog lets Rotom-H support teammates like Yanmega and Moltres that are vulnerable to entry hazards. Volt Switch lets Rotom-H gain momentum by pivoting out of switch-ins like Cresselia and Porygon2. Overheat beats Pokemon like Mega Steelix and Mega Abomasnow. Rotom-H can use Will-O-Wisp to burn physical attackers like Bewear and cripple Ground-types like Flygon and Rhyperior that could potentially block Volt Switch. Alternatively, Hidden Power Ice lets Rotom-H beat Gligar while also hitting some other Ground-types like Zygarde-10% and Flygon.

Set Details
========

252 Speed EVs and a Timid nature let Rotom-H outpace Pokemon like Feraligatr and Mega Blastoise. 252 Special Attack EVs let Rotom-H hit as hard as possible. 4 HP EVs allow Rotom-H to consume its Iapapa Berry after three rounds of Stealth Rock damage. Levitate helps Rotom-H deal with Ground-type attacks. Firium Z is an option that gives Rotom-H a one-time nuke that lets it bypass the Special Attack drop that Overheat normally leaves it with.

Usage Tips
========

Capitalize on Rotom-H's ability to beat certain Stealth Rock setters like Mega Steelix by switching it directly into them. This will prevent Rotom-H from taking potential Stealth Rock damage later on and give it an opportunity to gain momentum with Volt Switch. Use Will-O-Wisp liberally when playing against aggressive opponents that might try to switch physical attackers like Flygon into a predicted Volt Switch. If your opponent is packing counters like Cresselia, use Will-O-Wisp cautiously, as it would be preferable to switch out and inflict it with Toxic poison instead of a burn. Try to avoid moves like Trick and Knock Off that will prevent Rotom-H from using its Iapapa Berry, as Rotom-H heavily depends on it late-game to use Defog and check Pokemon like Vanilluxe. If you foresee a wall like Cresselia switching into Rotom-H, use Volt Switch to gain momentum. If you find an opportunity to use Overheat, keep in mind that the Special Attack drop will make Rotom-H vulnerable to common setup sweepers. Take advantage of Rotom-H's great defensive typing by using it to check attackers like Vanilluxe, Ribombee, and Klinklang.

Team Options
========

Wallbreakers like Tyrantrum, Dragalge, and Vanilluxe appreciate Rotom-H's ability to bring them in freely with Volt Switch and prevent any potential entry hazard chip with Defog. Pokemon such as Yanmega that are weak to Stealth Rock appreciate Rotom-H's Defog support. Water-resistant Pokemon like Mega Abomasnow, Roserade, and Mega Ampharos synergize well with Rotom-H, since they can switch into Water-type attacks. Rotom-H is also complemented well by physically defensive Pokemon like Cresselia and Gligar that can take on the likes of Zygarde-10% and Rhyperior. Bulky Water-types like Milotic pair well with Rotom-H, since they can take on Ground- and Rock-types like Flygon and Tyrantrum.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============

Thunderbolt lets Rotom-H actually beat Pokemon such as Milotic and Mandibuzz, which can just recover any damage taken from Volt Switch. Pain Split is an option to take advantage of walls like Cresselia.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types like Mega Ampharos and Dragalge freely switch into any of Rotom-H's attacks and threaten it out with their own STAB moves.

**Residual Damage**: Toxic poison and Stealth Rock wear down Rotom-H quickly, preventing it from reliably Defogging throughout games and checking Pokemon like Vanilluxe.

**Rock-types**: Offensive Rock-type Pokemon like Choice Scarf Tyrantrum force Rotom-H out if given a free switch in, giving momentum to the opposing player. Other Rock-type Stealth Rock setters like Diancie and Rhyperior keep Stealth Rock up against Rotom-H, even if they get inflicted by a burn.

**Special Walls**: Special walls such as Cresselia can consistently counter Rotom-H throughout matches.

**Water-types**: Water-types like Feraligatr and Milotic beat Rotom-H in a one-on-one situation; Milotic is especially notable because it can simply heal off any damage from Rotom-H lacking Thunderbolt and beat it with Scald.

**Zygarde-10%**: Zygarde-10% outspeeds Rotom-H and OHKOes it with Thousand Arrows, which bypasses Levitate.

Ok, Im back.

With Durant gone and Rotom-Heat beating some rockers, and other offensive fire types being more appealing I believe the main set should focus on its defog capabilities. The main set should be like this:

Rotom-Heat @ Iapapa Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Defog
- Hidden Power [Ice] / Will-O-Wisp
- Overheat

The Will-O-Wisp slash is tentative so stay tuned if anything changes. This is the set you should focus the analysis on, mentions the benefits it has over the other common rotom form (rotom-cut) like mention how it resists ice and how this allows it to check prominent ice types like Mega Abomasnow and Mega Glalie (second is notable since it can defog on spikes glalie pretty decently) and how it deters Virizion from ever coming in with its stabs. The offensive EV spreads is to KO Nidoqueen with the combination of HP Ice + Overheat all the time, and HP Ice to punish Flygon and Gligar switch-ins. Mention that it also handles Bronzong and Mega Steelix as well.

You gotta mention the option of running firium under set details. Can mention max HP over max SpA as an option under set details as well.

Change everything on the analysis to focus on its defog utility, not wallbreaking and pivot capabilities. Usage Tips, partners, everything.

Mention Choice Specs in other options. Every little other option it could potentially use is also valid. Like Pain Split or even Z-Dream Eater to KO Dragalge after rocks damage.

Keep in touch with me if you need any more guidelines. This should be enough to get started but who knows.

Ready now
no worries, appreciate it.

hey
[OVERVIEW]
  • First sentence is where you probably want to mention that it has Volt Switch and a good Offensive STAB combo. Probably reword it since you mention its an offensive defogger which by definition would mean it isnt going to be deadweight offensively.
  • Mention that you can switch into Nidoqueen and threaten it out.
  • What ground type pokemon are you checking? I'd rather you list those instead of saying you check stuff other than Zygarde. You could just leave it at a mention that it provides offensive teams with some role compression re: defogger/ground immunity, but idk how that'd be worded.
  • Iappa berry mention is more of a set details thing.
  • This feraligatr sentence is a bit awkward, I'm not sure where you're trying to go with this. Maybe just a mention that
  • Something about ground-types typically having Rock-type coverage probably worth mentioning, maybe just a mention that Fire isn't an *amazing* defensive typing and most pokemon can typically take advantage of that.
  • Mention that its only usable Fire-type STAB leaves it as setup fodder after use.
[Offensive Defog]
  • Defog is the set name, list it as the first move.
  • make Will-o-wisp the first slash, so you can punish Rhyperiors coming in.
  • Move 4 SpD into 4 HP so you can use Iappa after 3 switch ins to rocks.
[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
  • Change the order to represent w/e the set order is after you change it @ above.
  • Wording is a bit awkward on the volt switch mention, add a Dragalge mention too as its definitely the best Rotom-H counter that you can Volt on.
  • Mention specific Pokemon that want to switch in to you that Will-o-wisp punishes, e.g. Rhyperior/Flygon.
Set Details
========
  • Levitate mention should be changed to talk about how it adds to its utility re: A ground immunity.
Usage Tips
========
  • What hazard setters does Rotom-H switch into because it beats them? Examples.
  • Mention you usually want to prioritize hazard removal if you need Rotom-H healthy, as blah blah
  • Mention that overheat leaves you as setup fodder afterwards.
  • What am I volt switching on? When do I use it? Mention something about the opponent having or not having an electric immunity and how that would affect how much you're using volt. Something about using wisp to ease prediction in that sense when they have an electric immunity.
  • What Pokemon am I switching into other than hazard setters?

Team Options
========

  • What type of Pokemon is Rotom-H using volt switch to pivot out of? What pokemon can abuse that? you can just make a general grouping for that instead of focusing on typings.
  • Mention the specific Water-type Pokemon Rotom-H has to worry about that Milotic/Aboma check,

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Mention why you wouldn't want to use Specs, e.g. speed tier, main fire stab being overheat.
  • Mention Pain Split synergizing with its Stealth Rock weakness to chip walls, but also mention its negatives, e.g. momentum killer for an offensive Pokemon, you'd rather use Volt Switch, etc.
  • I love z dream eater but remove it here because its not really viable lol.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Stealth Rock**: Mention why this is a bad thing lol, its obvious but e.g. can get worn down easily if you can't switch directly into their rocker.

**Faster Offensive Pokemon**: Don't mention the specific natures, mention that they're running natures that don't boost Speed. Mention some specific Pokemon also, there's others that aren't the base 100s that Rotom-H is sad it doesn't outspeed.

**Zygarde**: Change to Zygarde-10%

**Water-types**: Since Choice Specs isn't the main set, small detail but say "even a Choice Specs boosted..." or something like that.

**Rock-types**: Durant is banned, maybe just mention another Pokemon that runs rock-type coverage.

qc 1/3 but tag me once implemented and I'll give you another read over before someone 2/3s.

it's Rotom-H, not Rotom-Heat or just Rotom. change them all.
Will-O-Wisp, not Will-o-Wisp. change those too.

[OVERVIEW]

Rotom-Heat can act as an offensive Defog user in RU pretty well, being able to combine the use ofRotom-H acts as an offensive Defog user thanks to Volt Switch and Overheat to threaten Pokemon such as Mega Abomasnow and Mega Glalie, something that its counterpart Rotom-Mow is unable to do. volt switch doesn't threaten m aboma or mega glalie.. drop one of them for something it does Threatening out Grass- and Ice-type Pokemon is key to allowing itself to get free turns to Defog.this is a usage tip, not an overview bullet point. change it to something like "Rotom-H capitalizes on the influx of Grass- and Ice-type Pokemon, being able to switch into most of them and Defog." <- this still sounds like a bit of a usage tip so i'd just make it a usage tip and drop it from here. Thanks to its typing and ability Rotom-Heat can act both offensively and defensively, being able to check common Ground-type Pokemon like Nidoqueen, thanks to its ability Levitate. hard to follow. "A decent defensive typing and ability let Rotom-H check Ground-type Pokemon like Nidoqueen." Defog and Will-o-Wisp helps it give defensive support to the rest of the team, this that helps to fill gaps in teams that are weak to Ground-types or need hazard removal. Unfortunately, Rotom-Heat is weak to Stealth Rock, meaning it can struggle to Defog safely against certain teams and has limited switch ins. mention some stealth rock users its struggles against Rotom-Heats dual typing is not amazing defensively, being weak to Rock-type moves that are commonly used as coverage by Ground-type Pokemon. contradictory. you mention how it is a good check to ground-types earlier and now you say that it can't beat ground-types. drop this completely and focus earlier on how good of a check it is to attackers like vanilluxe, moltres, shaymin, ribombee etc thanks to its plethora of resistances. Due to Rotom-Heats most powerful move being Overheat, it lowers Rotoms Special Attack after use, making Rotom set up fodder after use. hard to follow. make this something like "Overheat lowers Rotom-H's Special Attack, making it vulnerable to setup sweepers." Rotom-Heat also suffers from having an underwhelming speed tier, being outsped by Pokemon with 100 speed even if they do not use a speed boosting nature. rotom-h has fine speed. drop this and mention a lack of recovery that lowers its potential to check pokemon like x, x, and x.

you have to include some more on its typing, all i see is info on ground-types. this thing has 8 resistances and an immunity, mention it somewhere.

[SET COMMENTS]

Moves
========

Defog is used to remove hazards, supporting the team by letting them switch in safely. Volt Switch is amazing for pivoting around an opposingoppositions team. Being able to pivot on Pokemon such as Dragalge or any Pokemon in the tier that can take both a Thunderbolt and an Overheat well gains your team a lot of momentum. this is a bunch of fluff. combine the sentences about volt switch. Hidden Power Ice is coverage for Ground-type Pokemon Rotom can check with Levitate such as Gligar and Flygon as well as any other Ground-type Pokemon that does not go down to Overheat. confusing. make this "Hidden Power Ice in conjunction with Levitate lets Rotom-H check Ground-types like Gligar and Flygon." the bit about overheat is just fluff. Will-o-Wisp is used to cripple and neutralise Physical Threats in the tier, especially catching Pokemon that try to catch Rotom using Defog or being immune to Volt Switch, physical Pokemon such as Rhyperior and Flygon are punished for doing so. idt flygon is a good example here. it can be crippled by wisp or hit hard by hp ice on the switch in. drop it Overheat acts as a nuke, hitting offensive teams for tons of damage.

Set Details
========

Rotom-Heat has a Timid nature with max Speed to outpace as much as possible in the tier, this allows it to attack before both Feraligatr and Mega Blastoise.A Timid nature lets Rotom-H outpace Pokemon like Feraligatr and Mega Blastoise. Max Special Aattack is used to hit as hard as possible as well. 4 HP EVs allows Rotom-Heat to cosume the Iapapa Berry after three switch ins to Stealth Rock. Levitate helps Rotom-Heat to deal with Ground-type attacks that would be 4x effective otherwise, it also adds great utility to a team that is weak to Ground-types and forces mind games with opponents. unnecessary fluff Firium Z can be used to make Overheat hit harder without the consequence of losing Special Attack. It is also a lure for bulkier Pokemon that are low on HP which try to use Rotom as heal fodder.

Usage Tips
========

Try to pivot in on hazard users such as Mega Glalie, Bronzong, and Nidoqueen that Rotom-Heat can beats such as Mega Glalie, Bronzong and Nidoqueen. Better flow. This is to stop prevent Rotom-Heat from taking unnecessary Stealth Rock damage and forces them out gaining a free Defog. Yeah this is just hard to follow lol. Change it to, “Pivot into hazard users like Bronzong and Nidoqueen that Rotom-H beats to prevent any Stealth Rock chip and use Defog.” Try to avoid being hit by a Knock Off as losing Iapapa Berry severely limits Rotom-Heats switch ins. Prioritise hazard removal as keeping Rotom-Heat as healthy as possible allows it to check Ground-type Pokemon more consistently. This is not good. Rotom h checks a ton of attackers like vanilluxe, ribombee, etc etc due to the plethora of resistances its typing provides. Mention something more than just ground-types and provide examples. Overheat at correct times, you do not want to give Pokemon such as Umbreon or Cresselia free recovery or end up as set up fodder for more offensive Pokemon such as – and -. Make use of Rotom-Heats ability to pivot with Volt Switch, try to gain momentum throughout the match by predicting when to Volt Switch. For example, ----. Make sure to check Pokemon that do not have coverage to hit Rotom-Heat such as Mega Glalie, Mega Abomasnow, Mandibuzz, and Shayminn., these are all Pokemon Rotom-Heat can check and force out. You say that rotom h can check them twice in a single sentence, just leave the fluff out. Also switch mandibuzz example since mandi walls non tbolt rotom h.

Add one more tip, implement that, and it’s fine.

Team Options
========

This is a part of the analysis where you **must** have examples. I can understand if you want to not use examples in other parts of the analysis but this portion of your analysis will literally be like worthless w/out examples

Wall breakers Wallbreakers like -, -, and - work well with Rotom-H, as they can be brought in with Volt Switch to deal with Pokemon like Dragalge and – that Rotom-H struggles with. Less confusing to read and has examples. Rotom-Heats pivoting abilities as it consistently pressures bulky Pokemon that can deal with Rotom-Heat. Pokemon such as Dragalge, Umbreon and Cresselia would struggle to consistently check Rotom-Heat when being pressured by Volt Switch into a Pokemon like Decidueye, Bruxish or Feraligatr. Extra fluff, everything is there in the single sentence. Salazzle is helped a lot by both Rotoms ability in Levitate and Defogging supportabilitywhy?. Yanmega needs Defog from Rotom-Heat as it is 4x weak to Stealth Rocks and can help Rotom-Heat deal with Pokemon such as Cresslia and Umbreon. You can merge Salazzle and Yanmega into a single sr weak point like this,”Pokemon like Salazzle, Yanmega, and – that are vulnerable to Stealth Rock appreciate Rotom-H’s ability to provide Defog support.” I would do this because Rotom-H and Lazzle don’t really do anything typing wise for each other but stack weaknesses so the bit about levitate is kinda useless lol. Yan beating cress/umb is completely fine so you can either drop the bit about levitate x lazzle or just make it a single sr weak point. Rotom-Heat would work well with a Water-type Pokemon such as it is a Water-type it resists Water-type moves, something Rotom-Heat does not deal with well. Rotom can deal with Grass-type Pokemon for Milotic. Mega Abomasnow is also a good pairing with Rotom as it helps deal with Water-types more efficiently than Milotic and is helped by Rotoms use of Defog. Chesnaught would also be great for dealing with both Rock- and Water-type Pokemon that Rotom-Heat is scared out by. Chensaught also deals with Zygarde-10% very well. Okay this piece doesn’t need to be >500 characters. Shorten it to this,” Rotom-H appreciates Water resists such as -, -, -, -, and – that can take advantage of common Water-types like -, -, and -.” You can go through and mention how these some of these resists take advantage of water types like milotic. (ex. Roserade takes advantage of water-types like milotic by switching in and setting spikes freely.)

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============

Rotom-Heat could make use of Choice Specs as it would hit harder and force more Pokemon out in order to pivot with Volt Switch. Choice Specs is not preferred as you are usually locking yourself into a move that lowers your Special Attack, leaving you more vulnerable to set up. More concise, “Choice Specs boosts Rotom-H’s wallbreaking capabilities but isn’t optimal because it’ll be stuck in an unfavorable position if it ever uses Overheat.” Pain Split Rotom is also used to give itself longevity in a battle, using this with Lum Berry or Leftovers is good in some situations. It is good for chipping away at walls and recovers HP lost to Stealth Rock. However, it is a momentum killer, as an offensive Pokemon, as Volt Switch is better when gaining momentum. This is one sentence, not three. Rephrase.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Stealth Rock**: Unfortunately, as a Defogger, Rotom-Heat is weak to Stealth Rock. Rephrase. Right now you make it sound like being a Defogger makes it stealth rock weak. You need to clarify that rotom-h’s fire typing gives it a sr weakness that is bad for it, especially as a defogger. Rotom-Heat is worn down easily if you can not directly switch in to the opponent hazard setter.you don’t need this, just say the above and add that rotom-h is worn down quickly by sr. don’t need a whole sentence

**Faster Offensive Pokemon**: Rotom-Heats Rotom-H’s unusual speed tier means that max speed Timid Rotom-Heat is still outsped by base 100 Pokemon running natures that do not boost speed. Flygon is allowed to run Adamant because of this as well as Shaymin also outspeeding without a speed nature.

**Zygarde-10%**: Rotom-Heat is 4x weak to Thousand Arrows and it does not account for its ability Levitate.

**Water-types**: Feraligatr is the main threat to Rotom-Heat as after one Swords Dance, it is able to OHKO with Aqua Jet. Even though Rotom-Heat has the Electric coverage for Water-types, with added bulk Araquanid is able to live even a Choice Specs boosted Thunderbolt.

**Rock-types**: Rock-type attacks on from Pokemon such as Tyrantrum and Rhyperior are hugely threatening for Rotom-Heat, forcing it out and giving the opposition momentum.

add something about toxic from pokemon like x and x wearing it down quickly, lowering its opportunity to defog and mention taunt shutting it down

Make use of Rotom-H's ability to pivot with Volt Switch, try to gain momentum throughout the match by predicting when to Volt Switch. Rotom-H appreciates Water resists such as Milotic, Mega Abomasnow, Roserade and Chesnaught that can take advantage of common Water-types like Feraligatr, Milotic, and Araquanid. Chesnaught and Roserade can take advantage of switching in to Grass-type Pokemon by getting up layers of Spikes. i'm not sure what the first part is doing but it needs to be dropped. add one more team option and this is fine.

on second thought, don't worry about taunt users but you need to add toxic. this is also missing a special walls bullet and and dragon-types bullet.

hi there

so basically, this analysis still has some alarming content issues that i need to go over again and gp has let me know that they'd be basically re writing a bunch of this, at least in its current state. i'm taking it upon myself to re write what i haven't already written so that we can get this 3 month old analysis out of this subforum in a more timely manner. (approved my mr aldo)

thanks for understanding and cooperating.
[OVERVIEW]

Rotom-H supports bulky offensive teams by being able to beat a plethora of Stealth Rock setters like Bronzong and Mega Steelix with Overheat + Defog and provide Volt Switch support. Rotom-H's wide movepool gives it the ability to choose between running Will-O-Wisp, Pain Split, Hidden Power Ice, and Thunderbolt in its last moveslot. In addition, it sports an amazing defensive typing that lets it switch in and check attackers such as Vanilluxe, Klinklang, Ribombee, Shaymin, and Moltres and beat Ground-types like Nidoqueen. Although Rotom-H is superior to its counterpart Rotom-C in the way that it beats Steel-type Stealth Rock setters and checks attackers like Mega Abomasnow, it struggles heavily against other Stealth Rock users like Rhyperior. A crippling weakness to Stealth Rock and lack of a consistently reliable source of recovery means that it'll have trouble switching into some of the aforementioned attackers multiple times throughout games. Overheat lowers Rotom-H's Special Attack, making it vulnerable to setup sweepers.

Moves

Defog lets Rotom-H support teammates like Yanmega and Moltres that are vulnerable to hazards. Volt Switch lets Rotom-H pivot out of switch ins like Cresselia and Porygon2 for momentum. Overheat beats Pokemon like Mega Steelix and Mega Abomasnow. Rotom-H can cripple physical attackers like Bewear with Will-O-Wisp and cripples Ground-types like Flygon and Rhyperior that could potentially switch in to block Volt Switch. Hidden Power Ice lets Rotom-H beat Gligar while also hitting some other Ground-types like Zygarde-10% and Flygon.

Set Details
========

A Timid nature lets Rotom-H outpace Pokemon like Feraligatr and Mega Blastoise. 252 Special Attack EVs let Rotom-H hit as hard as possible. The 4 HP EVs allow Rotom-H to consume its Iapapa Berry after three rounds of Stealth Rock damage. Levitate helps Rotom-H deal with Ground-type attacks and Firium Z gives Rotom-H a one-time nuke that lets it bypass the Special Attack drop that Overheat normally leaves it with.

Usage Tips
========

Capitalize on Rotom-H's ability to beat certain Stealth Rock setters like Mega Steelix by switching it directly in. This will prevent Rotom-H from taking potential Stealth Rock damage later on and give it an opportunity to gain momentum with Volt Switch. Use Will-O-Wisp liberally against aggressive players that might try to switch physical attackers like Flygon into a predicted Volt Switch. If your opponent is packing counters like Cresselia, use Will-O-Wisp cautiously, as you'll prefer switching out and inflicting it with Toxic poison instead of a Burn. Try to avoid moves like Trick and Knock Off that will prevent Rotom-H from using its Iapapa Berry, as it heavily depends on it late game to use Defog and check Pokemon like Vanilluxe. If you foresee a wall like Cresselia switching into Rotom-H, use Volt Switch to gain momentum. If you find an opportunity to use Overheat, keep in mind that the Special Attack drop will make it vulnerable to common setup sweepers. Take advantage of Rotom-H's great defensive typing by using it to check attackers like Vanilluxe, Ribombee, and Klinklang.

Team Options
========

Wallbreakers like Tyantrum, Dragalge, and Vanilluxe appreciate Rotom-H's ability to bring them in freely with Volt Switch and prevent any potential hazard chip with Defog. Pokemon such as Yanmega that are weak to Stealth Rock appreciate Rotom-H's ability to clear Stealth Rock. Water-type resists like Mega Abomasnow, Roserade, and Mega Ampharos synergize well with Rotom-H since they can switch into Water-type attacks. Rotom-H is also complemented by physically defensive walls like Cresselia and Gligar that can take on the likes of Zygarde-10% and Rhyperior. Bulky Water-types like Milotic pair well with Rotom-H, since they can take on Ground- and Rock-types like Flygon and Tyrantrum, respectively, for Rotom-H.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============

Thunderbolt lets Rotom-H actually beat Pokemon such as Milotic and Mandibuzz, as they can just heal off Volt Switch. Rotom-H can take advantage of walls like Cresselia with Pain Split.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types like Mega Ampharos and Dragalge freely switch into any of Rotom-H's attacks and threaten it out with their own Dragon-type STAB.

**Zygarde-10%**: Zygarde-10%'s Thousand Arrows ignores Rotom-H's Levitate and will consistently OHKO it.
