Monotype Rotom-W

[OVERVIEW]

Rotom-W is the best defensive Pokemon available for Electric-type teams and is an amazing pivot because of its immunity to Ground and its good physical bulk. Rotom-W's STAB Hydro Pump allows it to counter Pokemon such as Sand Rush Excadrill and hit Rock- and Fire-types for super effective damage. Rotom-W also has access to Will-O-Wisp, which allows it to weaken physical attackers. Rotom-W has a poor HP stat, but it makes up for this with its access to Pain Split, which increases longevity and allows Rotom-W to support its team. Pain Split is Rotom-W's only way of recovering health other than holding Leftovers, however. Also, Rotom-W has a lackluster Speed tier and cannot afford Speed investment, so it fails to outspeed threatening wallbreakers like Dragonite and Tapu Bulu. Rotom-W can be a Defogger for Electric-type teams, but it's limited because it wants room for other moves.

Moves
=======

Volt Switch is an Electric-type STAB attack that allows Rotom-W to gain momentum against many Pokemon. Hydro Pump is how Rotom-W handles Ground-types and counters Pokemon such as Sand Rush Excadrill, Hippowdon, and most physical Fire-types like Infernape and Entei. Will-O-Wisp allows Rotom-W to weaken physical attackers that may pressure the rest of its team, and it also lets Rotom-W check Pokemon like Terrakion, Garchomp, and Landorus-T. Pain Split is crucial for Rotom-W because of low HP stat and lack of other recovery forms. It allows Rotom-W to take hits and exploit Pokemon like Chansey. Defog can be used over Pain Split because there are not many viable Defoggers for Electric teams outside of Zapdos. With Rotom-W running Defog, Zapdos has the freedom to use different sets.

Set Details
=========

Maximum HP EVs allow Rotom-W to take hits despite its poor HP stat. Maximum Defense EVs with a Bold Nature allow Rotom-W to be the physically defensive pivot that Electric-type teams need. It can take attacks like Outrage from Choice Band Dragonite and even an Earth Power from Life Orb Kyurem-B. Leftovers is the best item for Rotom-W because of its lack of a reliable recovery move.

Usage Tips
========

Rotom-W is part of Electric's defensive core and thus should be preserved throughout a game. It is great at gaining momentum and burning Pokemon that can potentially threaten Electric-type teams, and it can use its lower Speed stat to its advantage by getting off a slow Volt Switch. Rotom-W may be a defensive pivot, but it shouldn't be used to check every physical attacker. Tapu Bulu, for example, can potentially OHKO Rotom-W. If using Rotom-W as a Defogger, you may have to play more cautiously if you want to keep hazards off the field because Defog Rotom-W lacks Pain Split. In addition, Electric-type teams rely on Rotom-W to burn and cripple physical attackers that could threaten the rest of the team. Try to avoid getting Rotom-W hit by Toxic because that will make it quickly worn down. Rotom-W should also avoid Knock Off because it relies on Leftovers to stay healthy. Since Rotom-W is a physically defensive pivot, it does not take special hits very well. Pokemon like Latios threaten Rotom-W out because of powerful moves like Draco Meteor and Psychic being capable of 2HKOing it.

Team Options
=========

Zapdos is one of Rotom-W's best partners due to their good defensive synergy, as Rotom-W is able to burn physical attackers like Tyranitar, which can threaten Zapdos with Stone Edge, whereas Zapdos takes Grass-type attacks that Rotom-W can't and commonly runs Heat Wave to beat Pokemon like Ferrothorn. This core holds Electric-type teams together because both Rotom-W and Zapdos have recovery options and are capable of taking on most offensive cores. Tapu Koko helps tackle Dragon-type Pokemon that threaten Rotom-W such as Kyurem-B and Latios, and Rotom-W supports Tapu Koko by switching into strong Steel- and Ground-type attacks that threaten it. Magnezone is a great partner for Rotom-W because it traps and beats Ferrothorn, which otherwise checks Rotom-W. Rotom-W can use Volt Switch on Ferrothorn and switch to Magnezone to then use Hidden Power Fire. Ferrothorn being KOed gives Rotom-W a much easier time against Steel teams because it does not have to worry about Leech Seed taking away its HP. Alolan Raichu supports Rotom-W by beating Mega Venusaur, which counters Rotom-W. Although Poison-type teams do have Alolan Muk to stop Alolan Raichu, Rotom-W can check Alolan Muk and burn it. Xurkitree and Rotom-W also work well together because Xurkitree's access to Energy Ball means it can offensively check Gastrodon and Seismitoad, both of which counter and badly poison Rotom-W. Rotom-W supports Xurkitree because of its Ground immunity. Thundurus is another Pokemon that works well with Rotom-W because it offensively checks Pokemon that counter Rotom-W, such as Chansey and Mega Venusaur, with Knock Off, Superpower, and Supersonic Skystrike. Rotom-W supports Thundurus by taking Ice-type attacks such as Icicle Crash from Mamoswine and Ice Beam from Kyurem-B.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
============

Electric
-------
Toxic can be run over Will-O-Wisp, which allows Rotom-W to wear down and beat Pokemon that it usually can't such as Gastrodon, Seismitoad, and Cradily. However, Rotom-W not running Will-O-Wisp will make its team vulnerable to physical setup attackers sweepers like Bisharp and Garchomp.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-type Pokemon**: Almost every Grass-type can switch in on Rotom-W and beat it. Tapu Bulu, Mega Venusaur, and Breloom all counter Rotom-W.

**Dragon-type Pokemon**: Dragon-type Pokemon resist both of Rotom-W's STAB moves. Rotom-W also does not take Draco Meteor from Pokemon like Latios and Hydreigon very well.

**Gastrodon and Seismitoad**: Both Gastrodon and Seismitoad can switch into Rotom-W and are immune to its attacks.

**Wallbreakers**: Pokemon like Choice Band Dragonite, Choice Specs Hydreigon, Choice Band Diggersby, and Mega Charizard X are very threatening to Rotom-W because they need no setup to overpower it.

**Teravolt and Mold Breaker Users**: Kyurem-B's ability Teravolt allows it to use Earth Power on Rotom-W, and its Dragon typing makes it a solid switch-in to Rotom-W. Excadrill can beat Rotom-W with Earthquake because of Mold Breaker.

**Toxic Users**: Since Electric-type teams lack a cleric, a badly poisoned Rotom-W will become limited on how many times it can switch into physical attackers and will faint quickly.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon like Chansey and Zapdos can always switch into Rotom-W and recover against it because of its lack of power.

Overview

Electric

*Rotom-W is the one of the best defensive walls available for Electric-type teams and is an amazing pivot for the type because of the its immunity to Ground-type attacks and access to good defensive bulk.
*Rotom-W may have a poor HP stat of 50, however, Rotom-W it makes up for this with the fact that it has access to Pain Split which increases longevity and makes it a great wall for Electric.
Have Hydro Pump in another bullet
Rotom-W's STAB Hydro Pump allows it to counter a check Pokemon like such as Excadrill, being able to by switching in on it and knocking it out. Add how Hydro Pump allows Rotom to threaten Ground, Fire, and Rock type Pokemon
*Also, Rotom-W has access to Will-o-Wisp which allows it to burn physical attackers like Azumarill. Unforunately for Rotom-W, with the lackluster speed tier of 86, it struggles to outspeed pokemon like Kyurem-B and Landorus-T.
*In Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, all Rotom forms have gained access to Defog and which allows Rotom-W to act as a Defogger for Electric-type teams is more than capable of doing this for the type as well, but it's limited because of the option of only having four moves on this very diverse Pokemon. reword this to something like "Although it has to give up pain split for Defog."

* Volt Switch is Rotom-W's Electric STAB and allows Rotom-W to be act as a pivot and gain momentum against many other Pokemon.
* Hydro Pump is how Rotom-W handles Ground-type Pokemon and counter Pokemon such as Sand Rush Excadrill and Hippowdon. Give other examples of Pokémon that hydro pump hit/is useful against
* Will-O-Wisp allows Rotom-W to weaken physical attackers that may pressure the rest of the team, Pokemon like Dragonite, Garchomp, and Landorus-T can be checked by being burned.
* Pain Split is great for Rotom-W because of the it's low HP stat of 50, it which allows Rotom-W to take hits and Pain Split to gain HP back against Pokemon like Chansey with a massive HP Stat
* Defog can be ran over Pain Split on Rotom-W because other than Zapdos and it's other Rotom forms, there is not many viable defoggers for the type. Add how it offers role compression

*248 HP EV's helps Rotom-W be able to take hits with it's poor HP stat to the best of it's ability, it can take hits like Outrage from Choice Band Dragonite and even an Earth Power from Life Orb Naive Nature Kyurem-B.
*Max Defense EV's allow Rotom-W to be the physically defensive pivot Electric needs and allows Rotom-W to switch into many Pokemon physical attackers and check them.
* 8 Speed EV's on Rotom-W is optional and allows Rotom-W to hit the speed 210, it is used to outspeed Adamant Nature Crawdaunt.
*Bold nature
*Leftovers

Usage Tips
========

*Rotom-W is a part of Electric's defensive core and should be preserved if possible throughout a matchup game. Rotom-W is great at gaining momentum and burning Pokemon that can potentially threaten Electric-types.
*Rotom-W may be a defensive pivot, however, it shouldn't always be a check to every physical attacker. Pokemon like Diggersby and Tapu Bulu can potentially knock out Rotom-W in one attack.
* If using Rotom-W as a Defogger, you may have to play more aggressively if you want to keep hazards off because Rotom-W cannot run both Defog and Pain Split together. This is because Electric relies on Rotom-W to Will-O-Wisp and burn and cripple Pokemon that could beat threaten the rest of your the team.
* Avoid getting Toxic'd with Rotom-W if possible because Rotom-W will slowly get whittled down and faint to retain longivity. You could also rephrase this to something like "Switch Rotom Wash out of Toxic users in order to..."
*Add how you should use Volt Switch on predicted switches into its counters to grab momentum
*Add how you should try not to let Rotom get hit with knock off as losing lefties really suck in terms of staying healthy
*add how Rotom doesn't take special hits very well and can get worn down easily if you switch it in on special attackers

Team Options
=========

* Zapdos is one of Rotom-W's best partners because defensively they pair very well defensively , as Rotom-W burns physical attackers like Tyranitar that could threaten Zapdos, while Zapdos takes Grass-type hits that Rotom-W cannot handle. This core holds Electric teams together because both Rotom-W and Zapdos have ways of recovery and they take on most offensive cores. mention how Zapdos learns Heat Wave and can use that to pressure Pokémon like Ferrothorn that may annoy Rotom. Also mention how running Defog on Zapdos allows you to run Pain Split on Rotom.
*Tapu Koko is a very good partner for Rotom-W because it beats Pokemon like Kyurem-Black, Latios, and Breloom, All these threats would be able to switch into Rotom-W and either set up on it, knock it out, or force a switch. Tapu Koko sets the Electric Terrain, which means that Breloom cannot use Spore on any Pokemon that is grounded, I don't know how this is relevant as Rotom Wash has levitate which means it gets spored either way and Tapu Koko uses it's Fairy STAB to beat all three of these Pokemon. Tapu Koko and Rotom-W can work together to have a VoltTurn core and use each other for momentum. mention how Rotom wash is able to pivot into strong attacks aimed at Tapu Koko
* Magnezone helps supports Rotom-W because Magnezone has the with it's ability, Magnet Pull, which traps all Steel-type Pokemon such as This helps Rotom-W because trapping Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Celesteela to and knock them out with Thunderbolt or and Hidden Power Fire. Both Ferrothorn and Celesteela bother Rotom-W because offensively Rotom-W does not beat either of the two and they gain back HP from it, Magnezone beats them and helps Rotom-W stay Healthy. I'm kind of shaky on Celesteela as Rotom Wash volts out on it, while Celesteela can't do much in general to electric teams. Add that Balloon Magnezone traps Mold Breaker Exca that can easily hit Rotom with Earthquake.
Add Alolan Raichu and how it appreciates Rotom wash's ability to pivot safety into it while also beating bulky Pokémon such as Venusaur

Rotom-W has no other viable options currently.

Checks and Counters
===================

Diggersby: Whenever Diggersby comes out, Rotom-W will get OHKO'd by Diggersby's Choice Banded Return/Frustration
I wouldn't really call Diggersby a check since Banded Return doesn't even OHKO and Diggersby can't afford to take a hydro pump or Will O wisp in return.
Kyurem-B: Kyurem-B uses it's Teravolt Ability to switch into Rotom-W and Earth Power Rotom-W.

Gastrodon: Switches into Rotom-W and is immuned to both of Rotom-W's stabs because of it's Storm Drain ability, then proceeds to Toxic Rotom-W.

Seismitoad: Switches into Rotom-W and has Water Absorb, healing anytime Rotom-W attempts to use Hydro Pump, can also Toxic Rotom-W.
I think you should merge Gastrodon + Seismitoad into one since they beat Rotom the same way

Grass-types: Almost every Grass-Type switches into Rotom-W and beats it because Rotom-W is also a Water-type and weak to Grass attacks. rephrase this to something like Grass-type Pokémon such as *, *, and * are able to threaten Rotom-W with their Grass-type attacks.
Give examples of Grass type Pokemon such as Tapu Bulu etc

Special Walls: Pokemon like Chansey and Zapdos always switch into Rotom-W and recover in front of it because Rotom-W is not very strong, these Pokemon capitalize on Rotom-W's lack in power and passiveness. add how Rotom wash is able to volt switch on abovementioned Pokémon although it struggles to do anything else

I think you should add wallbreakers somewhere as Rotom Wash easy gets worn down when it switches into wallbreakers such as band dnite etc

Overview

Electric

*Rotom-W is the one of the best defensive wallsPokemon available for Electric-type teams and is an amazing pivot for the type because of its immunity to Ground-type attacks and having overall good defensive bulk. It's not really a wall due to its lack of reliable recovery. Also "defensive bulk" essentially both mean the same thing, unless you mean physically defensive bulk.
*Rotom-W may have a poor HP stat of 50, however, it makes up for this with the fact that it has access to Pain Split which increases longevity and makes it a great defensive pivot for Electric. Unfortunately though, this is Rotom-W's only way of reliable recovery other than holding leftovers.
*Rotom-W's STAB Hydro Pump allows it to counter a Pokemon such as Sand Rush Excadrill, by being able to switch-in on it and OHKO it. Hydro Pump also allows Rotom-W to also hit Rock-types and Fire-types for super effective damage.
*Also, Rotom-W has access to Will-O-Wisp which allows it to burn physical attackers like Azumarill. Unfortunately for Rotom-W, with the lackluster speed tier of 86, it struggles to outspeed pokemon like Kyurem-B and Landorus-T. What does the speed tier have to do with having access to Will-o-Wisp? You need to clarify how the two relate to each other. I'm assuming you mean to burn one of them in which case, I would find different examples as not every Kyu-B set cares about will-o-wisp (especially vs Electric-type) and Landorus-T can't really touch Rotom-W unless its the double dance set (which isn't very prevalent atm) and has already gotten +2 Attack AND still has Z-Stone Edge available.
*In Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, all Rotom forms have gained access to Defog which allows Rotom-W tocan act as a defogger for Electric-type teams, but it's limited because of the option of only having four moves on this very diverse Pokemon. As a general rule, don't make references to generation/game switches/changes.

* Hydro Pump is how Rotom-W handles Ground-type Pokemon and counter Pokemon such as Sand Rush Excadrill and Hippowdon, also handling most physical Fire-type Pokemon like Infernape and Entei.

*248 HP EVs helps Rotom-W be able to take hits with it's poor HP stat to the best of it's ability, it can take hits like Outrage from Choice Band Dragonite and even an Earth Power from Life Orb Naive Nature Kyurem-B.
*Max Defense EVs with a Bold Nature allows Rotom-W to be the physically defensive pivot Electric needs and allows Rotom-W to switch into many physical attackers and check them.
* 8 Speed EV's on Rotom-W is optional and allows Rotom-W to hit the speed 210, it is used to outspeed Adamant Nature Crawdaunt. Crawdaunt isn't very relevant/worth mentioning in my opinion. Is there anything else you're looking to outspeed with 8 EVs?
*Leftovers is the best item for Rotom-W because consistently getting HP back every turn is important for Rotom-W due to its lack of a reliable recovery move such as Soft-Boiled or Recover.

Usage Tips
========

*Rotom-W is a part of Electric-type's defensive core and should be preserved throughout a game. Rotom-W is great at gaining momentum and burning Pokemon that can potentially threaten Electric-types. Mention how its a slow pivot specifically and how that can be useful.
*Rotom-W may be a defensive pivot, however, it shouldn't always be a check to every physical attacker. Pokemon like Diggersby and Tapu Bulu can potentially knock out Rotom-W in one attack. Diggersby can't OHKO Rotom-W, it does less damage than Choice Band Dragonite does with Outrage, but you talked about living that attack in a previous bullet as a good thing. I'd change this example to something else + Bulu.
* If using Rotom-W as a Defogger, you may have to play more aggressively if you want to keep hazards off because Rotom-W cannotshould not run both Defog and Pain Split together. This is because Electric relies on Rotom-W to burn and cripple physical attackers that could beat the rest of your team. Change "play more aggressively" to "play more cautiously" - the lack of pain split means you have to be more careful with when to bring in Rotom-W as you won't be able to heal it.
* Avoid getting Toxic'd with Rotom-W if possible because Rotom-W will slowly get whittled down and faint. Rotom-W is a member of Electric-type's defensive core, so you want to preserve the core of Rotom-W and Zapdos if possible.
* Since Rotom-W lacks a great HP stat, it is very important to make sure that Rotom-W does not get knocked off because it relies on leftovers to stay healthy.
* Because Rotom-W is a physically defensive pivot, it does not take special hits very well. Pokemon like Latios threaten it out because of powerful moves like Draco Meteor and Psychic being capable of 2HKOing Rotom-W.

Team Options
=========

* Zapdos is one of Rotom-W's best partners because they pair well defensively, as Rotom-W burns physical attackers like Tyranitar that could threaten Zapdos with Stone Edge. Zapdos not only takes Grass-type hits that Rotom-W cannot handle, but also can beat a few of them with Heat Wave. For example, a Pokemon like Ferrothorn always switches-in on Rotom-W, but Zapdos can counter Ferrothorn with Heat Wave. Also, Zapdos has access to Defog which allows Rotom-W to run Pain Split over Defog as one of its' moves, which increases Rotom-W's longevity and strengthens the core because unlike Rotom-W, Zapdos can run both Roost and Defog on the same set. This core holds electric together because both Rotom-W and Zapdos have ways of recovery and they take on most offensive cores.
*Tapu Koko is very good for Rotom-W because it beats Pokemon like Kyurem-B, Latios, and Breloom, All these threats would be able to switch into Rotom-W and either set up on it, Knock it out, or force a switch. Tapu Koko sets the Electric Terrain, and powers up it's Electric-Type attacks while also being immune to Breloom's Spore and Tapu Koko uses it's Fairy STAB to beat all three of these mons. Tapu Koko and Rotom-W can work together to have a VoltTurn core and use each other for momentum. Also, Rotom-W has great typing being Water, Electric-type because not only does Rotom-W resist steel hits Tapu Koko may not want to take, but with the ability levitate, Rotom-W is immune to Tapu Koko's Ground-Type weakness. What does the underlined sentence have to do with Rotom-W? Rotom-W doesn't gain any benefits from Electric Terrain because it isn't grounded. Electric terrain specifically doesn't help Tapu Koko beat KyuB or Latios either. Rewrite this sentence better to relate it back to this analysis.
* Magnezone supports Rotom-W because with its' ability Magnet Pull, which traps Steel-type Pokemon such as Ferrothorn and Celesteela. This helps Rotom-W because trapping Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Celesteela to then knock them out with Thunderbolt and Hidden Power Fire. Both Ferrothorn and Celesteela bother Rotom-W because offensively Rotom-W does not beat either of the two offensively and they gain backsap HP from it with leech seed, Magnezone beats them and helps Rotom-W stay Healthy. The underlined sentence needs to be rewritten, it's an incomplete statement. Also refer to the moves used to beat each threat in order and follow with ",respectively."
*Raichu-Alola also supports Rotom-W because of Raichu-Alola'sits offensive typing allowing it to beat Mega Venusaur, which countered Rotom-W. Although Poison-type teams do have Muk-Alola usually, Rotom-W checks Muk-Alola and burns it, which helps Raichu-Alola because once Poison-Type Teams lose their Psychic-Type immunity, Raichu-Alola does not have much trouble Knocking out the rest of the team.
*Xurkitree
*Thundurus

Checks and Counters
===================

Diggersby: Rotom-W can take a hit from Diggersby when at full, however, when Diggersby comes out after a couple of Stealth Rock switch-ins, Rotom-W will get KO'd by Diggersby's Huge Power Choice Banded Return/Frustration This should just go under wall breakers, not have its own line.

Kyurem-B: Kyurem-B uses it's Teravolt Ability to Earth Power Rotom-W, and due to it's Dragon-Typing, Kyurem-B resists both of Rotom-W's STAB's and is a solid switch-in for Rotom-W. Change this to mold breakers and add in excadrill

Gastrodon and Seismitoad: Gastrodon They both switch in on Rotom-W and isare immuned to both of Rotom-W's STABs because of it's Storm Drain abilitytheir Water-type immunity. then proceeds to Toxic Rotom-W.

Offensive Grass-types: Almost every Offensive Grass-Type switches-in Rotom-W and beats it because Rotom-W is also a Water-type and weak to Grass attacks, so Pokemon like Tapu Bulu, Mega Venusaur and Breloom all check/counter Rotom-W. This isn't really limited to only offensive Grass-type Pokemon. Mega Venusaur isn't offensive in nature and other defensive Grass-type Pokemon like Cradily also beat it. Change this bullet to be just "Grass-type Pokemon" (in general).

Special Walls: Pokemon like Chansey and Zapdos always switch-in to Rotom-W and recover in front of it because Rotom-W is not very strong, these Pokemon capitalize on Rotom-W's lack in power and passiveness. Can just change this to specially defensive Pokemon - it doesn't take a "Wall" to beat Rotom.

Wall Breakers: Pokemon like Choice Banded Dragonite, Specs Hydreigon, and Mega Charizard X are very threatening to Rotom-Wash because they need no set up to overpower and KO Rotom-W

Toxic Users: Since Electric-type teams lack a cleric, if Rotom-W does get Toxic'd it will become limited on how many times it will be able to switch-in on physical attackers and faint a lot more quickly than if it were just healthy with no status. Once Rotom-W does get Toxic'd it is likely to become dead weight to the team.
QC 1/3. As I tell most people, please read your analysis out loud. It will help you check for grammar mistakes as well as bad sentence flow, which there were a decent amount of issues. That isn't a QC thing, but it will help a lot moving forward for future QC as well as when GP rolls around. Also, make sure you capitalize all items, Pokemon, and moves as well as referring to types always as ___-type.

Implemented some changes, however, Moosical. I do not believe that duostatus Rotom-W is very relevant or useful in this meta because of the addition of the defog option, if any Pokemon on electric is running toxic it would more likely be Zapdos as it is more effective in spreading status and has better longevity than Rotom-W. That being said, I am not sure I necessarily need to add it because there is nothing notable that makes duostatus Rotom-W better than the set I analyzed.

I read through this analysis a few times and can safely say that Torkool didn't mention anything about running duo status on Rotom-W (it's pretty bad as well). Toxic is just listed as an "Other Option" or "alternative" move that they can be used in place of one of the above moves. The section has other viable moves, abilities, and items that aren't worthy of being apart of the set but is at least viable enough in being mentioned in the analysis, in other words, anything that is "inferior" to the current set in the analysis goes there. Also, I agree with adding Toxic in Other Options as well, nobody has really said anything about duo status in their checks, just that Toxic should at least be discussed about as one of the things Rotom-W can also utilize. One more thing, it's Toxic being used over Will-O-Wisp, having two status moves in one set together is something I never heard of being used on Rotom-W. Explain why as to Toxic not being used as much as the above set btw.

Alright just to clarify some stuff.

- In the first bullet point, you don't need to include that it's not a wall. What I wrote was just an FYI for you as to why I deleted the word wall.
- I talked to the other QC members, and we agreed that 8 speed is unnecessary in the set as Crawdaunt isn't relevant this gen at all and it doesn't help you with anything else. You can put those remaining 8 EVs into SpD. Also, mention why you're 248 HP and not 252.
- Like Misaka said, I was referring to Toxic over Will-o-Wisp, which is indeed viable as it helps Rotom-W deal with aforementioned Pokemon that can wall it (Walls with reliable recovery, water immune Pokemon, etc). It's not optimal over Will-o-Wisp because it obviously has downsides, which is why it's only in Other Options, not on the main set.
- Please implement everything I commented on. Official QC isn't really optional (AM QC is), unless stated otherwise (like when I mentioned offensive scarf which has some utility on HO builds, although that itself isn't extremely viable). Going through it, I noticed you skipped a couple of things I commented on. If you have any concerns about what I wrote, you can always PM me on discord (like you did, and we discussed some points).

[OVERVIEW]

*All Rotom forms have gained access to Defog which allows Rotom-W can act as a defogger for Electric-type teams, but it's limited because of the option of only having four moves on this very diverse Pokemon.
- Don't say 'gained access', there isn't any need to mention generation changes, just say it has access to Defog. (Which Torkool also mentioned in his QC; you just changed one incorrect sentence to another incorrect sentence.)

[SET COMMENTS]

Moves

* Pain Split is great for Rotom-W because of the low HP stat of 50, it allows Rotom-W to take hits and Pain Split to gain HP back against Pokemon like Chansey with a massive HP Stat
- Mention Pain Split being Rotom-W's only form of recovery.
* Defog can be ran over Pain Split on Rotom-W because other than Zapdos and it's other Rotom forms, there are not many viable defoggers for the type. With Rotom-W running defog, it allows Zapdos more freedom to use different sets and forego the former mandatory defog set.
- Rotom's other forms aren't viable, remove that.
- Mention Rotom-W's reliance on Leftovers as its only form of recovery if Defog is opted for (in the Defog bullet)

*Max HP EVs helps Rotom-W be able to take hits with it's poor HP stat to the best of it's ability, it can take hits like Outrage from Choice Band Dragonite and even an Earth Power from Life Orb Naive Nature Kyurem-B.
- I don't think you need to mention the nature of Kyurem-B?

Team Options

- You should mention how running Defog on Rotom-W can let Zapdos run other sets too.
* Magnezone supports Rotom-W because with its' ability Magnet Pull, which traps Steel-type Pokemon such as Ferrothorn and Celesteela. This helps Rotom-W because trapping Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Celesteela to then knock them out with, respectively Hidden Power Fire and Thunderbolt.
- What does the second statement even mean? (Torkool mentioned this in his check too, can you please implement everything properly?)

QC 2/3, write this up after implementing my check.

Overview

Electric

Rotom-W is the one of the best defensive Pokemon available for Electric-type teams and is an amazing pivot for the type because of its immunity to Ground-type attacks and having overall good physically defensive bulk. Unfortunately, Rotom-W has a poor HP stat of 50, but it makes up for this with the fact that it has access to Pain Split which increases longevity and makes it a great defensive pivot for Electric. Pain Split is Rotom-W's only way of reliable recovery other than holding Leftovers. Rotom-W's STAB Hydro Pump allows it to counter a Pokemon such as Sand Rush Excadrill, by being able to switch-in on it and OHKO it. Hydro Pump also allows Rotom-W to also hit Rock-types and Fire-types for super effective damage. Also, Rotom-W has access to Will-O-Wisp which allows it to burn physical attackers like Azumarill. Unfortunately for Rotom-W, with the lackluster speed tier of 86, it struggles to outspeed pokemon like Dragonite and Tapu Bulu. Both Tapu Bulu and Dragonite are wall breakers, and since they do outspeed defensive Rotom-W they both can get a big hit off on Rotom-W before it can burn and cripple the opposing Pokemon. All Rotom forms have access to Defog and Rotom-W can take the role as a defogger for Electric-type teams, but it's limited because of the option of only having four moves on this very diverse Pokemon.

Volt Switch is Rotom-W's Electric-type STAB and allows Rotom-W to be a pivot and gain momentum against many other Pokemon. While it has Water-type STAB, Hydro Pump, is how Rotom-W handles Ground-type Pokemon and counter Pokemon such as Sand Rush Excadrill and Hippowdon, also handling most physical Fire-type Pokemon like Infernape and Entei. Also, Will-O-Wisp allows Rotom-W to weaken physical attackers that may pressure the rest of the team, Pokemon like Dragonite, Garchomp, and Landorus-T can be checked by being burned. Pain Split is critical for Rotom-W because of its low HP stat of 50 and because it is Rotom-W's only form of recovery outside of Leftovers, it allows Rotom-W to take hits and Pain Split to gain HP back against Pokemon like Chansey with a massive HP Stat. Defog can be ran over Pain Split on Rotom-W because other than Zapdos , there are not many viable defoggers for the type. With Rotom-W running defog, it allows Zapdos more freedom to use different sets and forego the former mandatory defog set.

Max HP EVs helps Rotom-W be able to take hits with it's poor HP stat to the best of it's ability, it can take hits like Outrage from Choice Band Dragonite and even an Earth Power from Life Orb Kyurem-B. While max Defense EVs with a Bold Nature allows Rotom-W to be the physically defensive pivot Electric needs and allows Rotom-W to switch into many physical attackers and check them. Also, Leftovers is the best item for Rotom-W because consistently getting HP back every turn is important for Rotom-W due to its lack of a reliable recovery move such as Soft-Boiled or Recover.

Usage Tips
========

Rotom-W is a part of Electric-type's defensive core and should be preserved throughout a game. Rotom-W is great at gaining momentum and burning Pokemon that can potentially threaten Electric-types, and Rotom-W uses its slower speed stat to its advantage by getting off a slow Volt Switch to help the rest of the Electric-type team gain switch initiative. Rotom-W may be a defensive pivot, however, it shouldn't always be a check to every physical attacker. Pokemon like Tapu Bulu can potentially knock out Rotom-W in one attack. If using Rotom-W as a Defogger, you may have to play more cautiously if you want to keep hazards off because Rotom-W should not run both Defog and Pain Split together, also Rotom-W would now lack recovery options because of running defog. In addition, Electric-type teams rely on Rotom-W to burn and cripple physical attackers that could threaten the rest of the team. Try to avoid getting Toxic'd with Rotom-W if possible because Rotom-W will slowly get whittled down and faint. Rotom-W is a member of Electric-type's defensive core, so you want to preserve the core of Rotom-W and Zapdos if possible. Since Rotom-W lacks a great HP stat, it is very important to make sure that Rotom-W does not get knocked off because it relies on leftovers to stay healthy. Since Rotom-W is a physically defensive pivot, it does not take special hits very well. Pokemon like Latios threaten it out because of powerful moves like Draco Meteor and Psychic being capable of 2HKOing Rotom-W.

Team Options
=========

Zapdos is one of Rotom-W's best partners because they pair well defensively, as Rotom-W burns physical attackers like Tyranitar that could threaten Zapdos with Stone Edge. Since Rotom-W does have access to Defog though, it can allow Zapdos to run a different set. This core holds electric together because both Rotom-W and Zapdos have ways of recovery and they take on most offensive cores. Tapu Koko is very good for Rotom-W because it beats Pokemon like Kyurem-B, Latios, and Breloom, All these threats would be able to switch into Rotom-W and either set up on it, Knock it out, or force a switch. Tapu Koko beats all three of these Pokemon with it's Fairy-type STAB, Dazzling Gleam and helps Rotom-W with offensive threats that it cannot handle defensively. Tapu Koko and Rotom-W can work together to have a VoltTurn core and use each other for momentum. In addition, Rotom-W has great typing being Water, Electric-type because not only does Rotom-W resist steel hits Tapu Koko may not want to take, but with the ability levitate, Rotom-W is immune to Tapu Koko's Ground-Type weaknesses. Magnezone is a great partner for Rotom-W because Magnezone has the ability Magnet Pull which helps Rotom-W beat a Pokemon that checks it, Ferrothorn. Rotom-W can Volt Switch on Ferrothorn and switch-in to Magnezone to then Hidden Power Fire.Once this Pokemon is gone it allows Rotom-W to switch around Steel-type teams much easier because it does not have to worry about Leech Seed taking away its HP. Ferrothorn does check or even sometimes counter Rotom-W because Ferrothorn can carry Power Whip or Toxic. Also, it does not beat Ferrothorn offensively and Ferrothorn can get back HP from Leech Seed, Magnezone beats Ferrothorn and helps Rotom-W stay Healthy. Raichu-Alola also supports Rotom-W because of Raichu-Alola's offensive typing allowing it to beat Mega Venusaur, which countered Rotom-W. Also, Xurkitree and Rotom-W work well together because Xurkitree has access to Energy Ball. Using this Grass-type attack, Xurkitree can offensively check Gastrodon and Seismitoad, both of which counter Rotom-W and can Toxic it. Likewise, Rotom-W supports Xurkitree because with Rotom-W's ability Levitate, it is immune to all Ground-type attacks which is Xurkitree's only weakness. Then, Thundurus-I is another Pokemon that works well with Rotom-W because Thundurus-I has access to the following moves: Knock Off, Super Power, and Z Fly. Usually Thundurus-I carries Flyinium Z or Life orb and with these moves Thundurus-I offensively checks Pokemon that counter Rotom-W. For example, Thundurus-I can use Z Fly to beat Mega Venusaur, which is one of the best Rotom-W counters in the game. Also, with access to Knock Off and Super Power, Thundurus-I can beat Chansey which also gives Rotom-W a hard time. Rotom-W supports Thundurus-I by taking Ice-type attacks that Thundurus-I cannot handle such as Icicle Crash from Mamoswine or Ice Beam from Kyurem-B.

Electric
-------
Toxic can be used over Will-O-Wisp to which allows Rotom-W to wear down a Pokemon's longevity and helps Rotom-W beat Pokemon that it usually doesn't such as Gastrodon, Seismitoad, and Cradily. However, when Rotom-W runs Toxic instead of Will-O-Wisp it makes the Electric-type team very weak to physical attackers that would normally be checked by Rotom-W Pokemon such as Bisharp and Garchomp would be able to Swords Dance on Rotom-W and KO it.

Checks and Counters
===================

5) **Mold Breakers**: Kyurem-B uses it's Teravolt Ability to Earth Power Rotom-W, and due to it's Dragon-Typing, Kyurem-B resists both of Rotom-W's STAB's and is a solid switch-in for Rotom-W. Also, Excadrill can beat Rotom-W with its Ground-type attack Earthquake because of Mold Breaker, Rotom-W loses its immunity to Ground-type attacks.

3) **Gastrodon and Seismitoad**: They both switch-in on Rotom-W and are immune to both of Rotom-W's STABs because of their Water-type immunity.

1) **Grass-type Pokemon**: Almost every Grass-Type switches-in on Rotom-W and beats it because Rotom-W is also a Water-type and weak to Grass attacks, so Pokemon like Tapu Bulu, Mega Venusaur and Breloom all check/counter Rotom-W.

7) **Special Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon like Chansey and Zapdos always switch-in to Rotom-W and recover in front of it because Rotom-W is not very strong, these Pokemon capitalize on Rotom-W's lack in power and passiveness.

4) **Wall Breakers**: Pokemon like Choice Banded Dragonite, Specs Hydreigon, Choice Banded Diggersby and Mega Charizard X are very threatening to Rotom-Wash because they need no set up to overpower and KO Rotom-W.

6) **Toxic Users**: Since Electric-type teams lack a cleric, if Rotom-W does get Toxic'd it will become limited on how many times it will be able to switch-in on physical attackers and faint a lot more quickly than if it were just healthy with no status. Once Rotom-W does get Toxic'd it is likely to become dead weight to the team.

2) **Dragon-types**:

Reorder this section from 1-7
The team options section is way too big. This is an analysis about Rotom-W and only half of the information in this analysis pertains to that mon. Cut the section down to only absolutely necessary information for each option. Make sure the Overview goes from Pros to Cons so that you aren't jumping back and forth. You mention Dragonite being dangerous for Rotom-W to face 1v1 then later mention how Rotom-W is important for checking Dragonite with Will-O-Wisp. Remove the first mention and use a different example.

Make sure to read over this entire analysis again before sending it to GP as well, it has a ton of awkward wording and mistakes.

Toxic can be run over Will-O-Wisp, which allows Rotom-W to wear down a Pokemon's longevity and helps Rotom-W and beat Pokemon that it usually can't such as Gastrodon, Seismitoad, and Cradily. However, when Rotom-W runs Toxic instead of Will-O-Wisp it makes the Electric-type teams very weak to physical attackers that would normally be checked by Rotom-W Pokemon such as Bisharp and Garchomp, which will be able to Swords Dance on Rotom-W and KO it Rotom-W not running Will-O-Wisp will make its team vulnerable to physical setup attackers like Bisharp and Garchomp.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Grass-type Pokemon**: Almost every Grass-type can switch in on Rotom-W and beats it because, Rotom-W is also a Water-type and weak to Grass-type attacks. Pokemon such as Tapu Bulu, Mega Venusaur, (comma) and Breloom all counter Rotom-W.

**Dragon-Type Pokemon**: Dragon-type Pokemon resist both of Rotom-W's STAB moves. Rotom-W also does not take Draco Meteor very well from Pokemon like Latios or and Hydreigon very well.

**Gastrodon and Seismitoad**: Both Gastrodon and Seismitoad can switch-in on into Rotom-W and are immune to both of Rotom-W's STAB moves because of their Water-type immunity its attacks.

**Wallbreakers**: Pokemon like Choice Band Dragonite, Choice Specs Hydreigon, Choice Band Diggersby,(space)and Mega Charizard X are very threatening to Rotom-Wash because they need no set(space)up to overpower and KO Rotom-W it.

**Teravolt and Mold Breaker Users**: Kyurem-B's ability Teravolt allows it to use Earth Power on Rotom-W, and due to it's Dragon-typing, Kyurem-B resists both of Rotom-W's STAB's and is its Dragon typing makes it a solid switch-in for to Rotom-W. Also, Excadrill can beat Rotom-W with its Ground-type attack Earthquake because of Mold Breaker, Rotom-W loses its immunity to Ground-type attacks.

**Toxic Users**: Since Electric-type teams lack a cleric, if a badly poisoned Rotom-W does get Toxic'd it will become limited on how many times it will be able to switch-in on physical attackers and faint a lot more quickly than if it were just healthy with no status in how many times it can switch into physical attackers and will faint quickly. Once Rotom-W does get Toxic'd it is likely to become dead weight to for the its team.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon like Chansey and Zapdos always switch-in to Rotom-W and recover in front of it because Rotom-W is not very strong, these Pokemon capitalize on Rotom-W's lack in power can always switch into Rotom-W and recover against it because of its lack in power.

[OVERVIEW]

Rotom-W is the best defensive Pokemon available for Electric-type teams and is an amazing pivot because of its immunity to Ground and its good physical bulk. Rotom-W's STAB Hydro Pump allows it to counter Pokemon such as Sand Rush Excadrill and hit Rock- (add hyphen) and Fire-types for super effective damage. Rotom-W also has access to Will-O-Wisp, (comma) which allows it to weaken physical attackers. Rotom-W has a poor HP stat, but it makes up for this with its access to Pain Split, which increases longevity and allows Rotom-W to support its team. Pain Split is Rotom-W's only way of recovering health other than holding Leftovers, (comma) however. Also, Rotom-W has a lackluster Speed tier of base 86 and cannot afford Speed investment, so it fails to outspeed threatening wallbreakers like Dragonite and Tapu Bulu. Rotom-W can take the role of be a Defogger for Electric-type teams, but it's limited because it wants room for other moves.

Moves
=======

Will-O-Wisp allows Rotom-W to weaken physical attackers that may pressure the rest of its team, (add comma) and it also lets Rotom-W check Pokemon like Terrakion, Garchomp, and Landorus-T. Pain Split is crucial for Rotom-W because of its low HP stat and lack of other recovery forms. It allows Rotom-W to take hits and exploit Pokemon like Chansey. Defog can be used over Pain Split because there are not many viable Defoggers for Electric teams outside of Zapdos. With Rotom-W running Defog, Zapdos has the freedom to use different sets.

Set Details
=========

Maximum HP EVs allow Rotom-W to take hits despite its poor HP stat. Maximum Defense EVs with a Bold Nature allows allow Rotom-W to be the physically defensive pivot that Electric-type teams need. It can take attacks like Outrage from Choice Band Dragonite and even an Earth Power from Life Orb Kyurem-B. Leftovers is the best item for Rotom-W because of its lack of a reliable recovery move.

Usage Tips
========

Rotom-W is part of Electric's defensive core and thus should be preserved throughout a game. It is great at gaining momentum and burning Pokemon that can potentially threaten Electric-type teams, using and it can use its lower Speed stat to its advantage by getting off a slow Volt Switch. Also Rotom-W should also avoid Knock Off because Rotom-W it relies on Leftovers to stay healthy. Since Rotom-W is a physically defensive pivot, it does not take special hits very well; (semi) Pokemon like Latios threaten it out because of powerful moves like Draco Meteor and Psychic being capable of 2HKOing it.

Team Options
=========

Zapdos is one of Rotom-W's best partners because they have due to their good defensive synergy, as Rotom-W is able to burn physical attackers like Tyranitar, which can threaten Zapdos with Stone Edge while, (add comma) whereas Zapdos takes Grass-type attacks that Rotom-W can't and commonly runs Heat Wave to beat Pokemon like Ferrothorn. This core holds Electric-type teams together because both Rotom-W and Zapdos have recovery options and are capable of taking on most offensive cores. Tapu Koko helps tackle Dragon-type Pokemon that threaten Rotom-W such as Kyurem-B and Latios, while and Rotom-W supports Tapu Koko by switching into strong Steel- and Ground-type attacks that threaten it. Magnezone is a great partner for Rotom-W because it traps and beats a Pokemon that checks Rotom-W, Ferrothorn Ferrothorn, which otherwise checks Rotom-W. Rotom-W can use Volt Switch on Ferrothorn and switch to Magnezone to then use Hidden Power Fire. Ferrothorn being KOed gives Rotom-W a much easier time against Steel teams because it does not have to worry about Leech Seed taking away its HP. Alolan Raichu also supports Rotom-W by beating Mega Venusaur, which counters Rotom-W. Thundurus is another Pokemon that works well with Rotom-W because it offensively checks Pokemon that counter Rotom-W, like such as Chansey and Mega Venusaur, with Knock Off, Superpower, and Supersonic Skystrike. Rotom-W supports Thundurus by taking Ice-type attacks such as Icicle Crash from Mamoswine and Ice Beam from Kyurem-B.
