SM OU Some help on team building?

Hello, I have been playing pokemon since red and blue first came out, but have always done it in a casual way. Long story short a buddy from work told me to try my hand at online battling since it ups the experience from playing. First time I tried it I got wrecked, so I was wondering if anyone here can give me tips on how to build an effective team. I'd like to build my team around mega lucario since its my favorite pokemon, I copied some builds for the pokemon from smogon.

So far I have:

Lucario @ Lucarionite
Ability: inner focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Meteor Mash
- Close Combat
- Bullet Punch

Chandelure @ Choice Scarf
Ability: flash fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Memento
- Trick

Greninja @ Life Orb
Ability: Protean
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Extrasensory
- Gunk Shot
- Dark pulse

Garchomp @ Dragonium Z
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Swords Dance

That's all, if anyone can give me pointers on what pokemon to add or take out. I still don't quite understand how to build an effective team and breeding is beyond me (#casual), what can I do to make this team better. I'm following the 1) Physical Sweeper x 2, Special Sweeper x 2, Tank, and a Staller. Rule. Also what's a stalker? Can't find concrete info on that.
