The Wonderful World of Bizarre Voice Acting Choices

Every so often, we watch a cartoon or a movie, and we hear a familiar voice. And sure enough, when we check the IMDB voice credits, we find out that one of our favorite voice actors from another piece of media took part in this. Now, depending on the quality of the TV program we just watched, our reaction can vary from "Oh, cool" to "WHY THE HELL DID THEY EVEN TOUCH THIS THING?! IS THE EXTRA CASH REALLY WORTH THE LOSS OF DIGNITY, MAN?!"

For a particularly hilarious(ly depressing) instance of this, let's take a look at A Car's Life 2.

This humble work is produced by a fairly well-known mockbuster studio by the name of Sparkplug Productions. As the name implies, this is a sequel to their previous attempt to cash in on Disney Pixar's Cars franchise, simply known as A Car's Life.

Meet Fender. This character, more likely than not intended as a rip-off of Cars' Doc Hudson, is the father of the main character of the Car's Life "franchise", Sparky. You see, in between the first and second movies, Fender underwent a voice actor change. In the second movie, he is voice by none other than Sean Schemmel. Does that name sound familiar to you? If you can't quite remember where you've heard that name, perhaps this clip will refresh your memory:
Yup, that's right. This weird, Brazilian(?) bootleg of a character from one of Pixar's least well-received films is voiced by Goku. This obviously brings up a ton of questions, questions we'll probably never get answers to. This only gets more strange when you realize this knock-off was made in 2011, several decades after Sean started his career as everyone's favorite blonde alien muscleman.

What do you consider to be the weirdest instances of voice actors who play(ed) roles they probably shouldn't be doing, or just seem weird in comparison to their most well-known appearances?
