FAQ:
- why scarf bruxish?
i don't really know, I didn't feel like stacking up ice weaknesses with flygon and i felt like a fire-resist as a scarfer would be nice, but i can't 100% remember my thought process when i built the team

- wtf is that lix spread?
jump point for attack max hp and spdef

I wanted to build around a cool lure i came up with - SD Fightinium Sneasel, which I made a post on in the VRs http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/ru-viability-rankings-v2.3622740/#post-7618475
It lures Bewear, Milo, Lix, P2, Umby. Paired it with Glalie bc I wanted to use some form of type spam for once and spikes+set up mon is always cool. Tsar is very important on this team, as it spins for my three rocks weak mons and keeps me from losing to webs at preview. Refresh Milo is amazing and comp is much more useful than you'd think. Even if it's defensive, it's still able to punish defog and webs. Scarf Delphox revenges all the set up sweepers bar DD Gatr, which Milo easily beats. Garde for instance is not capable of revenging DD Kommo, which otherwise 6-0s, as Ice Shard doesn't even do half. Zong as the sr user bc I needed a rocker that could function as a Queen check. Got a decent record on my test acc with this squad.

Week 10: Ditto

Taking a break from Pokemon with USM buffs, this week's challenge is to build a team with Ditto. Ditto remains one of the most unique Pokemon available, performing a niche but similar role across the spectrum of tiers to scout, pivot, and threaten to countersweep opponents. A well used Ditto can provide a headache for any team, especially those reliant on sweepers to push through for wins. However, in fitting Ditto on to a team, players sacrifice a reliable offensive or defensive slot and thus be prepared to make full use of the Pokemon's capabilities. How will this week's builders utilize Ditto to it's full potential?

What if the pokemon has no potential?
It does have potential via countersweeping something with imposter. I can see it being used as a hyper offense checker.

Where do you get the sprites anyway? I'd love to make a team with ditto. And how do I get permission to make a team?

teachable

Banned deucer.
first up, tangela for next week PLEASE

okie here's the team i was willing to make, didn't do a *ton* of testing but... it works.
Ditto balance sounds a LOT more fun but honestly its incredibly niche; more of a "everything works perfectly on this team but I need a revenge killer for x, y, AND z. Oh, ditto works"
so ditto stall was the only *build around me* type of team I felt I could make

You may be thinking: where's the dark resist? Where's the scald switch in? Why does this team suck so much? The answer to those questions is simple: Ditto. In fact, Ditto has exactly three roles in this team. The first being a revenge killer against set up sweepers like Feraligatr, Salazzle, Kommo-o, and etc. The second role is being a switch in for opposing STAB moves. Sludge Wave from an opposing Salazzle? Tanked. Psychic from Espeon? Tanked. Iron Head from a CB Durant? Fookin Tanked. Finally, Ditto's last role is to be sacked prematurely so you can safely bring banded Durant and watch stuff die.

The Team Itself (Besides Ditto)

The first mon that I wanted in my team was a set up fodder. A mon that can take hits, encourage set ups, and bring in Ditto safely to steal the boost from the sweeper. So I chose Gligar.

I took a look at the common walls that checks set up sweepers and decided that having a mon that beats those will help Ditto's slim chances of sweeping. I realized that not only does Bruxish fit the color scheme of the team, it also beats stuff like Milotic, Chesnaught, and Bewear after a boost. Plus, it gives the team a priority user and a serviceable sweeper. (Liquidation can be used instead of Aqua Jet to break stuff like Mega-Steelix.)

Three mons in and I already auto lose to Yanmega. Fortunately, AV Snorlax is a thing. At first, I didn't know what AV Snorlax offers to the team asides checking special attackers. After a few games of testing, I learned that Snorlax actually works really well as a pursuit trapper that can punish switch ins not named Steelix/Quag/Chesnaught. It also pairs very well with Gligar defensively.

I used Nidoqueen as my stealth rocker since its pretty good and can absorb toxic spikes (which is detrimental to Snorlax). I was also in need of a strong special attacker so I guess queen was the unanimous decision.

Originally, I wanted a flying resist like Rotom-Heat as the sixth mon of the team. Then I realized that Ditto is practically useless in stall matchups since it doesn't do anything except get locked into a utility move or get walled. So I settled for a stallbreaker. Turns out, CB Durant is actually Jesus in pokemon form. Even Jesus couldn't do half the stuff that CB Durant does! I can just mindlessly click a stab move and watch mons drop one by one even if the move is resisted. Unfortunately, Durant misses a lot so its not exactly perfect. Even so, it certainly is the star of the team imo.

Replays

So here's the replay on how the team is supposed to function (sac Ditto, let banded Durant kill as many pokemon as possible)

Here's another replay of Ditto forcing a guy not to set up (this is with my Alt btw)

Week 11: Mega Abomasnow

Mega Abomasnow has seen somewhat of a falloff in usage since the advent of USM, facing a meta with increased offensive pressure, the standardization of Superpower on Feraligatr, and the rise of Mega Glalie as competition since it became the tier's premier spiker. Mega Abomasnow still has a set of strong qualities going for it, able to fire off strong hits on both the physical and special spectrum, and difficult for even the most bulkily inclined of teams to switch into. Can this week's builders create teams that allow Abomasnow to be properly positioned and take full use use of its strengths?

This is a balanced team around mega Abomasnow :
I decided to built the team around mixed Mega Abomasnow since it does a pretty decent job with wall breaking able to hit hard from both of its offenses. As mega Abomasnow has plenty of weakness and one of the main weakness is fire, I decided to use thick fat snorlax that not only acts as a check to fire type moves but it also wall breaks along side mega Abomasnow weakening shared checks such as doublade and Porygon2. Next I added doublade to provide the team with a fighting immunity since both of snorlax and Mega Abomasnow are weak to it. It is also a great set up sweeper thanks to eviolite but more importantly it appreciates the wall breaking support of snorlax and Mega abomasnow in taking out walls such as Gligar,Porygon2, Milotic,Mega steelix etc.I wanted to have a sturdier Defog user as the team was suspectible to hazards so I settled with gligar on the team which is a good defensive mon in Ru checking a number of threats and providing invaluable utility support. Next I added stealth Rock necrozma to support the team in having easier time scoring KOs ,it also deters common hazard setters such as Nidoqueen and has good offensive presence as well. Lastly the team was slow so scarf Salazzle was added as speed control and to take out steel types for the Mega Abomasnow such as Registeel,Mega Steelix,Doublade etc. In return Mega abomasnow takes out water types that trouble Salazzle such as milotic.
