Lord Esche's Nidoqueen
Hogg's Tyrantrum

I would've voted for TSR but the presented sets use up tailwind turns. Specs would fit better imo

okay so i think this team calls for a little innovation. It could really use a fast grass type (like the sceptile suggested above) seeing as it has no way to damage waters super-effectively in a water infested meta. I also think this team could really benefit from screens, seeing as Escav and Reuni would both greatly appreciate them while trying to set up for a sweep. So i give you this masterpiece:

Virizion @ Light Clay
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Leaf Blade
- Taunt/Superpower

Virizion has some decent defensive stats and combined with its good speed I think it can be a decent screener. It also gives the team a fast physical attacker, which it currently lacks. For the fourth move you could go with taunt for the incoming Defoger or prevent setup, or Superpower for the extra coverage. It might really be personal preference and may be more obvious after some play-testing.

As the current team stands, it really needs hazard removal given how slow it is and the reliance on leftovers. It is extremely dependent on predicting correctly against CB krookodile (God forbid it's the dread plate or taunt + SR variant) and is screwed against NP infernape if it sets up while SR is up. Infernape has 2 good opportunities to force out hydreigon and escavalier to do so which is really bad. I don't think there is a good answer that perfectly covers all 3 of those glaring weaknesses but infernape absolutely must be addressed which narrows it down to 2 pokemon IMO, either being an interesting tentacruel variant, or mega-Aero. Since krook is also bad, and that reuniclus can potentially go for a CM war to cover suicune while other bulky waters won't like giving hydreigon free switches, I think the last has to be Mega-Aerodactyl.

M-Aerodactyl @ Aerodactylite
Tough Claws
Jolly
252 ATK, 252 SPE, 4SPD
-Stone edge
-Aqua Tail
-Roost
-Defog

Although removing your own hazards sucks, Christo's hazard setters are bulky enough to reset throughout the match, while patching up major issues of
-NP ape 6-0'ing the team otherwise
-Forcing Krookodile users to predict a bit harder than "can I get an easy EQ off while covering hydreigon switch-ins?"
-A secondary check/revenge killer to mega-sceptile and +1 gyarados (you need 2 layers of spikes or SR + 1 layer of spikes for the OHKO on mega-sceptile though)
-A secondary mega-beedrill switch-in.
-Another late game win condition when hazards have taken their toll

Steel types still require a lot of effort to wear down, but fortunately bronzong isn't happy about hydreigon, while forretress is set-up fodder for both reuniclus and escavalier if it tries to remove hazards. Anything else has to deal with spikes + leet scald hax from qwilfish. Empoleon phazing is a problem though I'll take that as an issue over an infernape sweep.

Virizion @ Lum Berry / Yache Berry
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Leaf Blade
- Stone Edge

A fast Grass-type fits well because the team is slow, could use a check for bulky Water-types other than Reuniclus, and synergizes excellently with Escavalier Pursuit-trapping fat Psychic-types (and Alakazam, in this case). Virizion fits this role admirably while having a much better matchup than Mega Sceptile against Mamoswine and Snorlax, which otherwise harass this team. It also provides a one-time Krook switch-in so Hydreigon doesn't have to risk having its Specs removed by Knock Off. Reliance on Lum Berry to dodge Scald burns is fine considering Diancie has Heal Bell and Reuniclus is a good backup check for Scald users. In fact, the extra support against bulky Waters could make Yache Berry an option to better deal with Mamoswine.

The lack of hazard removal is concerning, but no viable hazard removers deal with Snorlax adequately or synergize with the team structure very well (the team really wants a fast wincon/cleaner in the last slot to take advantage of the hazards and Pursuit). Mega Aerodactyl comes the closest (as Silenced posted), but that still leaves the team weak to Snorlax (forgot sd escav beats lax, my b). Infernape is definitely an issue, but with hazards, Life Orb recoil, and the fact that many 'napes run Vacuum Wave over Focus Blast it should be manageable with some slight tweaking (Drill Run over Swords Dance on Escavalier imo).

Swampert @ Swampertite
Ability: Damp
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
- Ice Punch
- Rain Dance

Rain Dance Mega Swampert pairs well with Reuniclus, sweeping through offensive teams while Reuniclus beats stall. It helps check big threats to the team such as Krookodile and Mamoswine. Swampert's ground typing also deters electrics from freely clicking Volt Switch.

Tentacruel @ Black Sludge
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam / Sludge Wave
- Acid Spray / Toxic Spikes / Sludge Wave
- Rapid Spin

I chose offensive Tentacruel because the team was struggling to deal with ghost + hazard stack builds, Nidoking, scarf Kook (if runs superpower), also is a good check for Mence and LO Hydreigon that providing a defensive Set come to try that may weaken the spd and kill them with ice beam, also has a second check for mega bee (if you did not Drill Run), and it is a good check for mienshao. It also is a solid check for Sylveon and Celebi (if it exceeds the speed tier in case of offensive sets). also Toxic spikes are a good option because can help Florges and Celebi to weaken their counters. Good evening to all ^^

This team sounds really cool, it seems it has a strong defensive core for balance builds but i believe it lacks fire power to break thru some defensive cores with fat steel types, which could stop a sweep from all this team wincons, SD Esca, CM Florges or NP Celebi. To fix this my suggestion is to add Entei for the team.

Entei @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sacred Fire
- Flare Blitz
- Extreme Speed
- Stone Edge

Entei provides a strong wallbreaker, that can help put pressure on opposing teams, spread burns and break common cores, since UU common fire walls often cant deal with Entei + NP Celebi duo. This team is kind slow too so having a strong priority in Extreme Speed helps a lot.
This choice leaves you really weak to hazard stack, since you won't have hazard control, but you can make use of this to your best, since it has an answer for every relevant hazard setter in the tier.

Reserving Defensive Tentacruel

Tentacruel @ Black Sludge
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 248 HP / 156 Def / 104 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Toxic Spikes
- Haze
- Rapid Spin
So, I think that Tentacruel could be the last member of this team because this team lacks an Defensive answer to Nasty Plot Infernape, since it can OHKO everybody after Stealth Rock and after a Nasty Plot. Tentacruel can haze any threat if needed, like SD Cobalion, NP Infernape and SD Escavalier. The team lacks an Hazard removal too, so Tentacruel can spin-off hazards too. Finally, Tentacruel can provide Toxic Spikes support to help the team against fat builds.

You might be right but you're not correct.

Salamence @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Roost
- Defog

Entei counter = Swampert. Swampert's recovery = the non-existence of Wish Florges a.k.a just Leftovers. Hazard removal = nothing. So yeah this team definitely needed an actual Entei switch-in with solid recovery and hazard removal more than anything so this is it.

This looks like a spectacular team with very few obvious weaknesses. However, I do see a few problems. First of all is the weakness to hazard stacking. Not only are hazards generally threatening to a bulky balance team like this but the team doesn't have much to threaten common hazard setters (especially spikes and toxic spikes setters) like Tentacruel, Nidoqueen, and Chesnaught. All of these Pokemon will have plenty of chances to set hazards. You can also be phased about with relative ease by common phasers, compounding the weakness further.

Additionally the team seems a bit weak some to set up sweepers (DD mence in particular.)

After some thought, I have some hot flames which I believe will patch up this team's weaknesses and take it to the next level:

Blastoise-Mega @ Blastoisinite
Ability: Mega Launcher
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
- Foresight

Yes, you are indeed looking at specially defensive Foresight Blastoise-Mega.

This set will allow you to
  • Threaten common hazard setters, incl. Forre, Mamo, Krook, Chesnaught, Nidoqueen, Cobalion, Donphan, among others!
  • Have something else to help deal with those threatening set up sweepers like DD mence and Haxorus.
  • Spin on Sableye! (what Sableye is going to *taunt* Blastoise-Mega? No one will see it coming.)
  • Fit in well with the team typing wise! You're adding a second grass weakness -- you have three resistances. You're adding an electric weakness -- you have two resistances and an immunity. Meanwhile, additional resistances to ice, fire, and water definitely don't hurt the team.
While unusual, I firmly believe this set is the best option to complete and team and will make it much harder to break defensively.
