What is XY Monotype?
XY Monotype is early Gen 6 before Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire came out. This metagame is different because certain move tutors do not exist as well as certain Megas (see banlist for specifics). There was also a different policy in a place so there are type bans are in this Metagame. The Metagame ended in the middle or Nani Man's experiment with making lower types more viable by adding ridiculously strong Pokemon to the not so good types EX: Skymin (Grass) Mega Mawile (Fairy) Kyurem-W (Ice) Aegislash (Ghost)​
