Your favorite song?

My favorite song is never really constant. It changes about every month, but some cycle back through more than others.
I suppose on average lol, my favorite song would be the Goldfinger cover of "99 Red Balloons"

It's definitely out of these two, as you can see I'm a big Florence and the Machine fan but these two have been my favourite songs for the past 8 or so years now so I'm pretty confident that they are.

Oh! Fortunately I found this thread, I love talking about music, hihi! Actually my favorite song is Beautiful - Christina Aguilera.

My favorite song kinda depends on my mood tbh, I'd have to narrow it down to 6

*Beautiful emotional songs
Sober by Pink
Because of You by Kelly Clarkson(almost every verse in that song means so much to me even though I can't relate to the original meaning, it's certainly applicable to a lot of people's situations)
Who You Are by Jessie J("It's okay not to be okay" just cuts so deep)

*Go-to pick me up songs
Roar by Katy Perry
Since U Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson
Brave by Sara Bareilles

Not my all time favorite but a note worthy song is Unconditionally by Katy Perry. One of the most beautiful songs I've heard

My songs depend on how I feel at the moment of me listening to the said song. Personally I like songs that make myself relax and I can fall asleep to. Here are a few examples:
*Relaxed Lo-Fi/Somewhat Chill Songs For Me
- Monday Loop - Tomppabeats
- i'm tired of feeling this way - Elijah Who
- Imagination - Siloh Dynasty
- Love Mode - Joakim Karud
- Gravedigger - P.O.S, Angel Davenport (The instrumental is so relaxing, probably the only reason to listen to it beside the chorus.)
*Quick Note:* The song Gravedigger is used in Need For Speed Payback, if you still play that game.

And then there are some songs in which I need to be in that hyped mood.
*TURN-UP MUSIC*
- Nuketown - Ski Mask The Slump God ft. JUICE WRLD
- Freaky Friday - Lil Dicky ft. Chris Brown
- Dark Knight Dummo - Trippie Redd ft. Travis Scott
- SICKO MODE - Travis Scott ft. Drake
- History - Rich Brian

*Video Game Music*
- Champion Cynthia and Battle!Cynthia (I love Gen 4 so much that the Cynthia theme is probably my favorite champion theme. The chills that you get when you finally meet her again for the final battle is so...hypnotic in a way. I love it.)
- Battle!Ghetsis (Ghetsis is probably my favorite
villain in the entire Pokemon series, besides Cyrus. He's so crazy at the end that it feels so rewarding when you defeat them.)
- YOU KNOW WHAT, I COULD PROBABLY GO ON FOREVER ABOUT MY FAVORITE SONGS BECAUSE THERE IS SO MANY OF THEM !

Random ones that people may have heard of:
Steven universe- haven’t you noticed
(Also anything else by rebecca sugar)

Dodie- human (also anything else by dodie, check out her youtube doddleoddle)

Coldplay- yellow. (Also most things by coldplay, sorry its a generic pick that surprisingly i havent seen anyone else have)

Chainsmokers- closer (call me basic but i love their songs)

Mystery Skulls- when I’m with you

My current favorites jump around from time to time, but if I had to narrow it down...
My favorite of all time would either be Ito Kanae - Metame Rhythm / Metamerism or Train - Hey, Soul Sister due to the emotional attachment I have to both songs.

My absolute #1 has to be Final Masquerade by Linkin Park, there's just that special something about and in this song that I can't quite put into words that makes my emotions well up every time.
Runner-up is Glück Auf by Joris for very much the same reason, with a honorary mention to Dawn by Breaking Benjamin which just calms me down and makes me feel loved every time I hear it.

and despite what those three sound like, I'm usually into harder rock and and leaning into Metal

My favorite song of all time is probably Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon and Garfunkel
I'm not gonna be those edgy kids who listen to Pink Flloyd and complain about being born in the wrong generation. I simply like this style of music and you all like yours. Though I would recommend listening to this song, cuz it is great! :)

Same caveats as last time apply; this only includes songs that I have on my computer (so that I have a definite list to work off), so if there's any Big Omissions it's pretty likely that's due to that, I am well aware Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells is better than Roger Taylor - Airheads but unfortunately I only have the latter on my computer. Not sure if there's much point to talking about specific songs tbh, the rankings + stats already do a fine job highlighting good songs and I really wouldn't know where to start. In general I really like long and atmospheric or intense songs (which has led to the oversaturation of progressive rock in the highest regions lol), but I like a lot of different kinds of rock, so I hope the list is varied enough past the initial prog overload. Should add that I was slowly starting to get a little meh on the songs towards the end; guess that means a top 600 is pretty much as far as I can go with my current library. Which makes expanding my collection enough to hopefully be able to put together a viable top 1000 at some point down the line a nice goal tbh.

I need to spam some posts in order to change my username, so why not share something here?

The Devil's Blood and Urfaust are my favorite bands and this cover of the mythical Voodoo Dust, recorded in 2016 as a tribute to Selim Lemouchi (1980-2014), is my favorite song of all time.
