Your First Battle

My first battle against another actual person was a long time ago. Myself against my brother with Red and Blue respectively. This was before even yellow released here so that kinda dates it a bit...

My team: Arcanine, Ninetails, Magmar, Charizard, Moltres and Rapidash against his Mewtwo, Mewtwo, Mewtwo, Mewtwo, Mewtwo, Blastoise

I completely rolled him 6-0. That said I was 10 and he was 7 and had basically no clue about what moves to use... All his mewtwos had Hyper Beam, Swift, Recover and Psychic. To this day I am not sure why...

I remember using Solar Beam to take out the blastoise but I dont remember which pokemon did it... Took two shots lol.

First competitive match was in DPP OU. I did some research beforehand, so I did okay, but not great.
Metagross - Stealth Rock, Meteor Mash, Explosion, Bullet Punch
Gyarados - Dragon Dance, Waterfall, Bounce, Stone Edge
Lucario - Swords Dance, Close Combat, ExtremeSpeed, Ice Punch
Salamence - can't rememer, I think it was mixed with Fire Blast or something
Tyranitar - Stone Edge, Crunch, Pursuit, Earthquake
Azelf - Nasty Plot, Psychic, Flamethrower, can't remember
