Not good in writing really in depth text, but basically you have mega gardevoir to truck more balance/stall builds, and excadrill to deal with offense.
Gardevoir doesn't really appreciate defog support as much as it likes rapid spin because of talonflame reasons(you usually want to keep your rocks up)
Hippo over tyranittar as it's a better pokemon for balance teams(the ones mega gardevoir is best used at) + it helps with bisharp and non willo talonflame(willo too if you're in a bad spot) and it's just a good glue for balance teams to have(better than ttar anyway)

Ctrl + F + Conkeldurr = 1 Result...something is wrong with this picture. Anyways...

Sylveon is very weak to Steel types, especially Scizor, Excadrill, and Heatran. Conkeldurr can easily KO them with his amazing STAB or coverage.

Conkeldurr @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 48 HP / 252 Atk / 208 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Poison Jab / Fire Punch
- Ice Punch
- Thunder Punch

How? Excadrill and Heatran won't switch into Conkeldurr while Mega Scizor simply sets up on it (unless it decides to run Fire Punch which only hits Scizor). Conkeldurr also can't touch Jirachi and Bronzong at all.

I agree with the rest of your comments though.
Mega Scizor gets 2HKO'd if you use the following set, which also happens to destroy jirachi and Bronzong:

Conkeldurr @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Superpower
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Thunder Punch

Jirachi:

252+ Atk Life Orb Conkeldurr Superpower vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Jirachi: 296-348 (73.2 - 86.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Bronzong:

252+ Atk Life Orb Conkeldurr Superpower vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Bronzong: 263-309 (77.8 - 91.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Scizor:

252+ Atk Life Orb Conkeldurr Superpower vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Scizor: 296-348 (86.2 - 101.4%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO

Mega Scizor:

252+ Atk Life Orb Conkeldurr Superpower vs. 248 HP / 16+ Def Mega Scizor: 199-235 (58 - 68.5%) -- 92.6% chance to 2HKO

252+ Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Conkeldurr Thunder Punch vs. 248 HP / 16+ Def Mega Scizor: 109-129 (31.7 - 37.6%) -- 90.7% chance to 3HKO

(Thunder Punch and Superpower Combo KO's after rocks if you don't get crappy rolls)

Excadrill:

252+ Atk Life Orb Conkeldurr Mach Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Excadrill: 299-354 (82.8 - 98%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Life Orb Conkeldurr Mach Punch vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 190-226 (49.3 - 58.7%) -- 59.8% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

There's no point in running Conkeldurr without Mach Punch, especially the Sheer Force set, because it's actually pretty frail, and there's a hell of a lot of sand in the meta nowadays.

Drain Punch, while recovering HP, doesn't hit hard enough, and it doesn't really give much more power than Sheer Force boosted elemental punches:

252+ Atk Life Orb Conkeldurr Drain Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Manaphy: 187-220 (54.8 - 64.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Conkeldurr Thunder Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mew: 161-191 (47.2 - 56%) -- 80.9% chance to 2HKO

Superpower is key, as Conk's gonna hit hard then be forced out; and Mach Punch outspeeds Azu and uninvested Scizor's priority; Poison Jab literally only hits Clef and Sylveon, who bow down to Specs sylveon in this core.

Superpower also does cool things like putting Rotom-W in mach punch range after rocks.

As I posted in the viability thread, this set can do so much damage until people start expecting it!

216 speed is for kyub, i don't think modest max does much for you
Looking through the Speed Tier, only relevant things in there are positive base 85s (Jolly Toxicroak+ unevolved Pinsir and Heracross), Neutral max Speed Hydreigon(it can Iron Tail you) as well as Speed tying with Neutral max Speed base 100s (Modest Zard-Y and Adamant Mega Medicham. ) So, going for 216 Spe is actually worth it since those are uncommon anyway. Just watch out for SD Adamant Zard-X which runs almost the same Speed (the current recommended Speed is also 290 )

Coming through with another core. Presenting...

Garchomp + Azumarill Offensive Core

Sub Salac Garchomp is an extremely underrated threat in the Over Used meta-game, as it can sweep teams clean as most teams are unprepared for it nowadays. However, there are several Pokemon that give Chomp a hard time. Physically defensive Pokemon such as Hippowdon, Unaware Clefable, Defensive Landorus-Therian, Quagsire and others are able to take on Sub + Salac Garchomp and defeat it with their respective STAB moves or by hitting it with status to render it useless. This is where Azumarill comes in to help. Azumarill can OHKO Hippowdon while dealing heavy damage to Clefable, Landorus-T, and Quagsire in order for Garchomp to KO them without needing to boost. Azumarill's problems include Poison types such as Amoonguss, Mega Venusaur, and Tentacruel, bulky Psychic types such as Mew and Cresselia, who can inflict a burn upon Azumarill, and others. Good partners to the core include both slow Volt Switchers, such as Rotom-W to get both in safely, and fast Volt Switchers such as Magnezone, and Mega Manectric in order to defeat the Steel types, mainly Skarmory that threaten this core.

Garchomp @ Salac Berry
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 12 HP / 244 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Substitute

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Superpower / Knock Off

Mega Chomp + Cobalion + Clefable = Balance

(Damn clefable is short)

This is a pretty cool DFS core. Cobalion is a Defensive Pivot and Lead to get up Stealth Rocks to help Garchomp break walls easier and Volt Switch to safely get it in. However I used T-Wave over Volt Switch if I have a V-Switcher since Garchomp becomes rather slow Post MEvo.Clefable is the Cleric that uses Heal Bell to cure the other two of Status and become a possible wincon. Cobalion has trouble with Setup Sweepers to Unaware Clefable helps alleviate that. Mega Chomp is a stellar Wallbreaker and can break down Clefable's Steel Type checks and Cobalions Fire Type checks.

Garchomp @ Garchompite
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 40 Atk / 224 SpA / 244 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Fire Blast

Cobalion @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 248 HP / 204 Def / 56 Spe
Impish Nature
- Volt Switch / Thunder Wave
- Iron Head
- Close Combat
- Stealth Rock

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 248 HP / 172 Def / 88 SpD
Calm Nature
- Moonblast
- Heal Bell
- Calm Mind
- Moonlight

Mega-Gardevoir + Hydreigon + Heatran= Offensive Core

This is a special wallbreaking FDS core. Mega-Gardevoir and hydreigon have great offensive synergy breaking past each other's checks with ease. The main problem with this core is special walls like Chansey. While both mons are semi-mixed attackers they struggle to beat Chansey as well as mons like Talonflame. Enter trapper Heatran! This Heatran traps special walls like Chansey and beats them with toxic, taunt, and Magma Storm damage. In addition Heatran provides a switch in to Talonflame, Latios, Clefable, Ferrothorn, Serperior and other Heatran. Gardevoir and Heatran's EVs are pretty standard while Hydreigon's speed EVs are shamelessly ripped from the F/P/D cores thread (much appreciated :)). This core has trouble with Mega-Metagross, Terrakion, and Mega-Diancie so team mates that handle those are helpful. I personally use physically defensive, Foul Play Klefki to check the former 2 with Paralysis (as well as lay Spikes for easier wallbreaking) and Serperior to check Diancie (as well as clean up the mess my wallbreaker trio leave behind) but other options exist depending on whether you want to use this core in an offensive or balance team.

Balance Core:
Tyranitar + Amoonguss
---

Tyranitar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake / Superpower / Ice Punch

Amoonguss @ Black Sludge / Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 136 Def / 124 SpD
Bold Nature
- Spore
- Giga Drain
- Foul Play / Sludge Bomb
- Clear Smog / Hidden Power [Fire]

This is a pretty neat balance core that can either fit on fat balance or semi-stall but can also work with a slightly more offensively oriented team if you decide to pair it with Excadrill.

Like many balance cores, this one relies heavily on type synergy. Tyranitar handles flying, fire, and psychic types for Amoonguss - including but not limited to Latis, Talonflame, Charizard and Heatran. Pursuit trapping is also very useful for removing things like Gengar which can be annoying to both types of builds (and one of the main reasons ScarfTar is still a staple on many semi-stall builds).

In return, Amoonguss is able to check grass, fairy, water and fighting types for Tyranitar. These threats include Serperior, Breloom, Keldeo, Azumarill, Mega Lopunny, Clefable, Mega Altaria, Mega Diancie and some variants of Manaphy. The EV spread can be customized accordingly - more defensive investment may be worth running for Mega Lopunny and Azumarill, and Rocky Helmet is a good item in this case as it helps to punish the physical attackers that threaten Ttar (which include U-turners) and potentially Excadrill.

The duo is still weak to a fair number of things including Alakazam, Weavile and Tornadus-T which all outspeed Tyranitar and can OHKO both members. Other things threaten the core with their dual STABs such as Infernape, Hawlucha, and Mega Gardevoir. On bulkier builds I would advise carrying a cleric as ScarfTar has no form of recovery and also really hates being burned or paralyzed. Unaware Clefable plays this role really well and also can help with Manaphy. On a more offensive team, a support set for Tyranitar is viable as well. I guess the last thing I'd say is just bring the obvious stuff like hazard removal and a ground resist, and also Mega Scizor can be pretty annoying.

Edit: a quick search shows a core with Mega Tar + Amoonguss which I did not see. This core is similar but non-mega Tyranitar plays quite differently and not using up a mega slot allows for more options on the rest of the build.

Hello and good morning/midday/evening ladies and gentlemen, I'm back with yet another core.
This time we'll be having a look at a more Stall-ish core that i found in an old XY team, I updated it a bit and then tested it a bit in the current meta and it did surprisingly well.

So here it is: Charizard Mega X, Ferrothorn and Quagsire Balanced core.

The core focuses on Defensive Synergy over offensive synergy, it has checks and counters for about everything in the current meta-game, it also has some minor offensive pressure which is of course mandatory on all teams in the current meta-game, Specially defensive Charizard Mega X does really well in the current meta-game, with Azumarill and Landorus Therian running around everywhere trying to counter it, its a nice Off-Set that should definitely be used more often, Ferrothorn is there to set Stealth Rocks and to check fairy types, it also provides some passive recovery with Leech Seed, Quagsire is there for other Charizard Mega X and for other Set-Up sweepers. Overall this core provides you with a solid defensive backbone that is certain to give the opponent a hard time trying to break it.

Charizard Mega X runs Earthquake so its able to hit Diancie Mega and Heatran, it runs Dragon Claw as its main STAB and attacking move, Roost is fore recovery and Will-O-Wisp is to burn anything that tries to switch into it. It runs 108 speed so its able to outcreep max speed base 70 pokemon and runs specially defensive investment so its able to take hits from both sides, paired with the burns from Will-O-Wisp

Ferrothorn runs Gyro Ball as its main STAB move, Stealth rock to set Stealth Rocks, Leech seed for recovery and Protect for even more recovery, the spread is pretty standard, taking on Kyurem Black and fairy types is of course is its main goal.

Quagsire runes Recover for recovery, Toxic for passive damage, Scald as its main STAB option and Earthquake as its secondary STAB option, this is what takes on Set-Up sweepers. It runs full Physical bulk and a -speed nature so it wont lose any stats, seeing as speed is useless on it anyway its the best option to go with.

:( i was just gonna post this.

Anyways enjoy this core.

Sd Charizard-x+Weavile offensive core

charizard-x as we all know is a fantastic wallbreaker and while he does make for a scary cleaner its also true hes a bit too slow to do so somtimes. Well enter Sd charizard-x! This set turns zard into a full on wallbreaker that turns some of his woulbe be checks into liabilities. Most teams are ready for a +1 zard-x but few are actualy ready for a +2. This allows zard-x smash stall as well as more fat and bulky teams which a +1 zard-x might have trouble with. When it comes to teamates when pairing a wallbreaker with somthing a cleaner that has trouble with fat mons makes for the perfect partner as naturally fast cleaners most of the time lack the power to break said teams. This makes weavile the perfect partner with sd zard-x as zard plows through these fat teams which weavile struggles to beat and this opens up room for weavile to clean up the game with ease. Fire/dragon and Ice/dark make for fantastic offensive coverage hitting pretty much everything hard. Weavile handles offense while zard takes care of stall and fat balence. Even so this core has its issues. For one its exstremely weak to hazards so make sure you pair these two with a spinner such as excadrill or starmie both of which can remove hazards while also sharing some good offensive synergy. This core works wonders with hazard stacking so pokemon like hippowdon and ferrothorn as well as landorus-t make for amazing partners. Both members are prone to being revenged by talonflame so bring a answer to that. A rock and ground resist is also important as otherwise both members are outsped and ohko'd by excadrill in the sand. Enjoy.

Here is a great, underrated core.

Dragonite + Charizard-Y Offensive Core

Dragonite is an exceptionally strong sweeper that can easily find set-up opportunities thanks to Multiscale and the fabled Dragon typing. However, it it isn't all fun and games for Dragonite as there are a few Pokemon that can give the legendary Dragon problems. Faries, especially Unaware Clefable can 2HKO Dragonite with their respective Fairy type STAB, Kyurem-B can OHKO Dragonite through Multiscale by virtue of Teravolt with Ice Beam. Physical walls in general give Dragonite a problem, most notably Quagsire, Hippowdown, and Skarmory. Charizard-Y works perfectly in tandem with Dragonite, being able to 2HKO or OHKO every one of Dragonite's checks and counters. In exchange, Dragonite can set up on some of Chary-Y's checks and counters, including Specially Defensive Talonflame, the fat pink blobs, Chansey and Blissey, and others. Solid partners to this core include Excadrill and Starmie, who provide much needed Rapid Spin support.

I would recommend Dragon Claw > Outrage on Dragonite so you can deal with pokes like Sash Breloom, Talonflame and Thundurus with the combination of Dragon Claw + ExtremeSpeed because of Multiscale and Lum Berry. Nice core though.

Hello and welcome ladies and gentlemen.
This time ill be doing things a little bit differently, Im going to dump a few cores on here this time, hope youll enjoy.
The importables of the cores can be found right below them.
Sorry if i accidentally post a core that has been posted before

Core #1
Medicham Mega+Weavile

This is a pretty standard but fun offensive core, it features Medicham Mega as the designated wall breaker and Weavile as the cleaner. Ever since XY Medicham has hated the presence of Psychic types and Gengar, and Weavile takes care of these threats perfectly, it also provides a nice answer for Garchomp, which Medicham also hates. Overall this core performs pretty well in the current meta-game, Major downfall is however that you have to watch out for Sableye Mega.
Medicham @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Zen Headbutt
- Bullet Punch
- Fake Out

Weavile @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Pursuit
- Knock Off
- Ice Shard

Core #2
Diancie Mega+Celebi+Dragonite

This is a more unique balance core, the core is all about passing Swords Dance boosts to either Dragonite or Diancie, which both love having the support. Celebi's main job is to Baton Pass Swords Dance boosts and lure in Venusaur Mega with Zen Headbutt, to weaken it for Diancie Mega, its also the designated Keldeo Counter, it then passes to either Diancie Mega which will then in return get a kill or two or you pass to Dragonite later in the game for a nice sweep, Diancie Mega also provides some nice Magic Bounce support for Dragonite, which also helps it alot. overall this core does its job suprisingly well, alot of people just cant stop the sweep.
Diancie @ Diancite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 124 Atk / 132 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Diamond Storm
- Moonblast
- Protect
- Earth Power

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 152 SpD / 108 Spe
Careful Nature
- Baton Pass
- Recover
- Swords Dance
- Zen Headbutt

Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Extreme Speed
- Fire Punch

Core #3
Manaphy+Serperior+Metagross Mega

This is another more unique offensive core, it features Sub Salac Manaphy, Yes, Sub Salac, its quite an under-rated set that can easily take care of both balance and offense, Serperior is there to take care of those pesky bulky water types and for gaining more offensive pressure, also weakens Chansey and Clefable so Manaphy can sweep stall teams more easily, Metagross Mega is the cores main physical powerhouse, taking care of the Lati's for Manaphy with Pursuit is really helpfull. Overall the core does well against most teams in the current meta, watch out for sand and rain though.
Manaphy @ Salac Berry
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 76 HP / 248 SpA / 184 Spe
Timid Nature
- Substitute
- Surf
- Energy Ball
- Tail Glow

Serperior @ Life Orb
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Taunt

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
- Hammer Arm
- Pursuit

Core #4
Tyranitar Mega+Reuniclus+Keldeo

This is a bit of a quirky balance core, it features the forgotten legend Tyranitar Mega, Reuniclus which is a heavily under-appreciated threat and Keldeo. The core focuses on both offensive and defensive synergy, providing near full defensive coverage and not lacking in the offensive aspect either, the core is fairly simple to use as its basically set-up spam untill the other team has been defeated, the core was originally made out of just Tyranitar Mega and Reuniclus but it struggled alot against Bisharp and Sableye Mega, so i found an easy solution, Sub Calm Mind Keldeo, it takes care of both Bisharp and Sableye Mega. Overall the core is fun and easy to use, and does pretty well on top of that.
Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Fire Punch
- Ice Punch

Reuniclus @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Recover

Keldeo @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Scald
- Secret Sword

Ok so I hope that you all will find these cores fun to use and that youll have succes using them, Omega out.

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Pursuit
- Knock Off
- Ice Punch

Naive Nature

- Ice Punch

EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Recover

Keldeo @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Scald

Ok so I hope that you all will find these cores fun to use and that youll have succes using them, Omega out.

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Why does Weavile have Ice Punch and Icicle Crash? I think you should change Ice Punch to Ice Shard.

- U-turn

Well here we go. This OU core I've been using works well for laddering, and is fairly easy to build upon. Charizard as always does it's job well with the standard set given here, and can sweep late game if the opportunity to do so. Skarmary here is mostly there to stop Azu and Mega Altaria and it's also there as a switch in. The only reason I have 24 EVs in SpD is because it adds more bulk, and you don't really need speed or attack EVs on it as it really only needs to worry about getting rocks up, and also using it to stop sweeps if necessary. Finally, we get to Landorus. Landorus has always been a good Pokemon as it has a lot of different moves and different sets to utilize to make it very useful to use. Here we have the standard Choice Scarf set to use and it works well as most people may expect it to be bulky, so it can be used to bluff the leftovers if played right. All in all, I would say that this core is balanced, due to it having Skarmary, but it can be viewed as offensive core as well. Use it as you may, I'll be posting more cores up soon so stay tuned for that.

Hello. Got a core that I want to share, being a balance core which I've used on a couple of teams.
Balance Core
Sp. Def Excadrill + Tank Garchomp

Excadrill @ Leftovers
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Iron Head
- Toxic

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 76 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Dragon Tail
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast

Bulky Drill + TankChomp is a really efficient hazard control core for balanced and bulky offense teams, particularly those that really need to keep hazards up for the majority of the game. Their typings and stats complement each other well, as Excadrill covers Garchomp's weaknesses to Fairy and Dragon while Garchomp has a Fire resistance for Drill. Excadrill has enough bulk to take most Ice Beams for Garchomp (though physical Ice types like Weavile and Mamoswine can give it trouble) and Garchomp can take most Fighting and Water attacks quite well due to its natural bulk on both sides. It should be noted, however, that most Water types like Manaphy and Keldeo can break through the core with their combination of Water and Ice moves.

TankChomp's role is to set up Stealth Rock and shuffle opposing Pokemon around with Dragon Tail to get chip damage. It also lures in Skarmory, Ferrothorn and Scizor, all of which Excadrill can't handle too well. Excadrill spins away hazards from opponents and has a way to threaten most spinblockers with a combination of Mold Breaker Toxic and Earthquake. Drill also has solid matchups with a fair amount of defoggers, such as Latias, Latios without EQ or Surf and Zapdos (Drill can take up to two Heat Waves and at scout HP Ice for Chomp). Excadrill is also important for catching fairies like Mega Altaria, Clefable and Togekiss that can't be shuffled around with Dtail by Garchomp.

Threats
  • Water types - As mentioned before, the commonness for Water types to carry Ice moves makes them a threat to the core. Scald also affects both Chomp and Drill negatively. Starmie is the biggest threat imagineable for the core to face, since it can spin and often carries Hydro Pump + Ice Beam on offensive sets and Scald on defensive ones. Keldeo, Manaphy, Kingdra, Seismitoad and Mega Swampert are also difficult for the core.
Good Partners
  • Spinblockers and Defiant users are natural complements to the core. Mega Sableye is a good partner that can go toe to toe with Starmie with SpD investment and provides additional protection against hazards. Jellicent spinblocks Starmie well (especially w/o Thunderbolt) and also all the other Water types mentioned above as well. Ferrothorn is a good spikes setter and helps against Manaphy, Starmie and Megapert as well. Multiple Pokemon like the MegaZards and Clefable also appreciate the Heatran pressure that this core has.
Replays - Might come back with more once I move up on the ladder some. These were for my Next Best Thing entry for Mega Aerodactyl, so if you're weirded out by Fly, that's why. Don't judge the Kecleon ;)
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-248810705 - They handle Venu, Jirachi and others

Mega Sableye + Jirachi Defensive Core

Mega Sableye is one of the best mega evolution's in OU, being able to check a huge chunk of the meta with amazing defensive typing, and excellent support options. However, it is extremely weak to Fairy types which can 2HKO it, no matter how many CM boosts it has accumulated. This is where Jirachi comes in. Jirachi can easily check the powerful Fairy types that threaten Mega Sableye, including Sylveon, Mega Altaria, Mega Gardevoir, and Clefable, the biggest one. Jirachi also provides the much needed Wish support that defensive teams love, and can cripple a ton of Pokemon with Toxic In return, Mega Sableye can switch in and threaten on Skarmory and Ferrothorn, preventing them from getting up hazards thanks to Magic Bounce. Mega Sableye can also switch in on and burn the bulky Ground types that threaten Jirachi, including Landorus-T, Garchomp, and especially Excadrill. Despite this core being able to check a huge chunk of the OU meta, there are still quite a few threats. The main threats to this core are Charizard-Y and Manaphy, the former can 2HKO both members, and the latter can use both as set up fodder. Keldeo can also use both as set up fodder or simply 2HKO them with a Specs / LO boosted Hydro Pump Chansey can check Chary-Y and Manaphy quite nicely. Latios is also a pretty solid partner, as it checks Keldeo, and Charizard-Y, while also breaking through Mega Venusaur with Psyshock.
