Not so much in my case I'm afraid. My "prolific" rating on the UU ladder probably has more to do with me rarely finishing, and in some cases starting, battles, nowadays. I'm also pretty sure I've got one of the lowest rankings out of those players to feature, so I'm not exactly what it is I...

What about Shedinja as a counter for the special set? All Persian can do to it is Hypnosis ... might be worth a mention.

Raw stats aren't everything ... Gabite has a base stat total of 410, and Monferno = 405. Both higher than Ariados who has BST of 390. Yet in the past I've used said spider to take out half a OU team with a little luck, some prediction and super effective attacks: Gengar (BST 500), Azelf...

I honestly don't see why ... having run an effect Parasect on my NU mono-bug team I cannot count the number of times Effect Spore has saved me. Its every bit as viable as Dry Skin.

Does it? It can probably get away with switching in cleanly with its first appearance, but after that its less certain since both of these typically carry a Rock-type attack, and I believe Hitmonlee now has access to Sucker Punch so it might be a little less scared of Xatu than it used to be...
