SM LC all absorption ability team


Introduction

I really dig the abilities that either heal you or give you a boost when hit with a specific type attack (water absorb, flash fire, dry skin etc.) and I have been trying to build a team with only these kind of abilities. The team requires a lot of prediction, but its super fun when it works out. I am having trouble breaking through fatter mons, especially foongus and would love any feedback y'all have about mons, moves or EVs/natures.



The Team


Azurill @ Eviolite
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 196 Atk / 196 Def / 116 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Body Slam
- Knock Off
- Facade
- Toxic
Right now this is my way of beating stall tanks that like to status / leech seed and wear you down. Sap sipper prevents seed and facade means you don't have to care about status. Body slam is also great for stopping set up mons.


Croagunk @ Eviolite
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 188 Atk / 116 Def / 196 SpD / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Bullet Punch
- Ice Punch
- Knock Off
I am a little conflicted about croagunk because its one of three water absorb mons, but I was really struggling with foongus and so thats where croagunk comes in handy with knock and ice punch. It also balances out the physical/special team ratio.


Cacnea @ Eviolite
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 36 Def / 236 SpA / 196 SpD / 40 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Giga Drain
- Leech Seed
- Toxic
- Protect
With so many sturdy rock setters in LC I found cacnea does a great job as anti lead. Yes they will get rocks (spikes, webs) up, but leech seed breaks sturdy and giga finishes the job. It is also nice that cacnea resists ground. The only problem is cacnea is completely walled by foongus and wingull.


Cyndaquil @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 44 HP / 228 SpA / 236 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA
- Eruption
- Flamethrower
- Extrasensory
- Hidden Power [Grass]
choice scarf eruption, what else do I need to say! but also fire immunity is great and cyndaquill is a great late game sweeper.


Finneon @ Eviolite
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 68 Def / 204 SpA / 188 SpD / 48 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Defog
- Ice Beam
- Scald
- Signal Beam
Defog mon plus a pretty solid spA stat makes this a good mon all around for the team. I am considering replacing signal beam with u-turn to compliment electrike.

Electrike @ Eviolite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 40 Def / 236 SpA / 196 SpD / 36 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Flamethrower
electric immunity plus volt switch makes this mon pretty essential. However, it does add to the number of mons weak to ground which I am not too thrilled about.
Conclusion

Foongus and a pretty noticeable ground weakness are my biggest problems right now. Any suggestions on rounding out the team, maybe a croagunk or electrike replacement would be really appreciated.
