Don't spam Individual Pokemon Discussions: Here individual topics are reserved for Pokémon that are relevant to the metagame. If you want to post a topic about a Pokémon, it must be relevant to the metagame. Threads that fail to follow this rule will be closed and you might get infracted if you do this repeteadly.
Doubles Rules:
Pokémon:
Players are allowed a team of up to 6 Pokémon that are not banned, aren't holding a banned item, or know a banned move. The following Pokémon are banned from use in Doubles:
Moody is banned. Unreleased Hidden Abilities are banned.
Moves:
Pokémon in Doubles can use all moves but Dark Void.
Items:
All items are allowed but Soul Dew, which is currently banned.
Active Clauses:
IRC channels: #pokemon, Smogon's main channel for all things related to competitive Pokémon and, #doubles, main channel for Doubles discussion. You can follow the Smogon IRC guide for information on how to connect using various clients (located here). As all metagames, we have a room on Pokémon Showdown, feel free to join in there using /join doubles from any room.

Suspect Policy
As this is the first time Doubles exists as an official tier, there is no set suspect policy. Starting in XY, we are following a similar suspect policy as that of NU held on BW for those familiar with it, using a council. Our goal is to keep the metagame as banless as possible while keeping it balanced, and we also want to encourage players to participation and metagame health by only letting people with strict requirements to be able to vote. You must know the meta well before you can influence it:

- Evasion Clause - Moves that boost evasion (i.e. Double Team and Minimize) are not allowed.

- Council selects on suspect.
- Qualified players need to attain more than a certain ladder rating to vote.
- Supermajority approval to change the status quo.
- Suspect tests would take place in a need basis fashion; we won't be testing regularly.
- We will have at least one "suspect check" phase every 3-4 months (doesn't mean there will be any actual suspects if there's no need).
