Good evening, and welcome to a very special occasion! Tonight, three ancient ASB veterans with multi-year hiatuses haul their asses out of retirement and into the spotlight for what is sure to be a shitshow clash of epic proportions!
Am I overhyping this match by treating it like a tournament semi-final? Probably. Am I still gonna overcompensate after not having reffed in years? Abso-fucking-lutely. Let's get to it!​

On the blue corner we have Iron Caliber. Not only did he draft an eclectic collection of battle rules (Switch: KO, anyone? When's the last time you saw that one?), he's brought an equally unusual team to our battle of teen mons. He's somehow managed to bring as many 4x weaknesses as Pokémon, which is a stat that exists. From his corner I'd pay attention to Bors the Gabite, as it can do a decent number on all three of the opposing mons. Something has to take down Dragonair and Haunter, and Bors is as good a bet as any, I'd guess.

On the red corner we have cbrevan, CAP enthusiast extraordinaire who *checks notes* BROUGHT EXACTLY ZERO CAP POKEMON. Is this meant to be a Gardevoir? I've never seen one of those before ¬¬. From the red side, watch out for Godot the Dragonair, who can slap every possible opponent with powerful, potentially deadly coverage. There doesn't seem to be an answer on Caliber's side for Godot's defensive prowess either.

In case I forget before posting, keep in mind Agility is one of those weird moves that gets different effects in ASB. In this case, you should specify between Agility (Boost), which is the regular in-game move, and Agility (Evasive), which lets you dodge single-target moves. Yeah, it doesn't make much sense, we know.

Not much else really, Combusken draws out every drop of energy possible from Godot but can't get the lucky flinch that would've kept him conscious for one more round.
