I'd like to test out an idea for a battle format that I had, meant to be a unique take on battling that somewhat tries to replicate the Fire Emblem series.

3v3 3*+ Emblem Battle
Emblem Battle Format:

• Each Round, the battler ordering first selects one of their non-fainted Pokémon to attack one of their opponent's non-fainted Pokémon.
• All items are equipped when sending in.
• Single battle mechanics are in play for the duration of the round. For example, Earthquake only damages the targeted Pokémon and does not incur a spread move penalty.
• Effects on a Pokémon, such as Stat Increases/Decreases, Taunt, Torment, Aqua Ring, Sluggish, etc., remain for their specified number of actions when a round ends. These effects do not decay while the Pokémon is not participating in a round. For example, if a Pokémon ends the round Sluggish for one action (from use of Hyper Beam, for example), they will be sluggish on the first action of the next round they participate in combat.
• Field effects, such as Weather, Terrain, Screens, Entry Hazards, etc,. remain in play for their specified duration when a round ends.
• Moves that have different effects when switch = OK and switch = KO benefit from their switch = KO variants.
• Abilities that summon Weather or Terrain will automatically not activate (i.e., no need for the battler to specify), if that Weather or Terrain effect is already in play.
• Damage from entry hazards is halved (rounded normally).

Example Battle Flow

Battler A: Venusaur @ Miracle Seed, Charizard @ Charcoal, Blastoise @ Mystic Water
Battler B: Rillaboom @ Miracle Seed, Cinderace @ Charcoal, Inteleon @ Mystic Water

Sending out Charizard to face Rillaboom

Heat Wave > Flamethrower > Heat Wave
** IF Protect THEN Chill.

Fake Out > Protect > Leech Seed

Rillaboom can now no longer get the flinch from Fake Out for the remainder of the battle. Leech Seed remains on Charizard for 5 actions even as it returns to the bench. Heat Wave damage suffers no spread move penalty and only damages Rillaboom. Grassy Terrain remains in effect for the next three rounds due to Rillaboom's Grassy Surge.

Sending out Inteleon to face Charizard

Hydro Pump > Snipe Shot > Hydro Pump
** IF Protect THEN Chill.

Heat Wave > Solar Beam > Solar Beam

Since Charizard is active again, Inteleon benefits from Leech Seed and Leech Seed's remaining actions are reduced by 3. Since Charizard used Heat Wave on action three of the last round it was in combat, it suffers consecutive EN penalty on its action one Heat Wave here.
