U-turn is probably inferior on most teams to FeatherDance. The only teams that benefit from U-turn are offensive ones, so it could possibly see use over Toxic, but FeatherDance is pretty non-negotiable (you will lose to some Mienfoo, Stunky, and co. every time without it).

Chinchou @ Life Orb
Modest | Volt Absorb
156 HP / 132 Def / 68 SpA / 144 Spe
-Agility
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power (Fire)
-Hydro Pump

Sets up on the turn Natu switches out, meanwhile killing whatever came in expecting to soak a Volt Switch.

(PS Center Justification looks so nice)

Yeah, Featherdance is pretty much always better then U-Turn, helps you maybe beat Stunky and co. (Although -2 LO Crunch still 2HKO's).

Croagunk @ Eviolite
Dry Skin
52 HP/188 Atk/116 Def/116 Sp.Def/36 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Drain Punch
- Sucker Punch
- Taunt/Protect

Immune to Water attacks, T-Bolt can 2HKO but you heal it back with Drain Punch. Fake Out is good priority, Drain Punch gets back health, Sucker Punch is for revenge killing. Taunt helps beat Gastly while Protect scouts for Zen Heabutt Scraggy.

Try not to post mons that have already been used, it makes the game more fun! I guess if you have to at least make it a different set. Or be a boring fuck I guess...

Gastly @ Eviolite
Levitate | Timid
116 HP / 36 Def / 116 SpA / 196 Spe
- Substitute
- Hypnosis
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Bomb

If you're not using this Gastly set you're using the wrong Gastly set. That or you're running Choice Scarf. Croagunk can't do anything except Payback/Dark Pulse, and you live those anyways (even after the Payback power boost).

Duskull @ Eviolite
Relaxed | Levitate
196 HP / 196 Def / 116 SpD
-Will-O-Wisp
-Pain Split
-Hidden Power (Fighting) / Shadow Sneak
-Substitute
Outspeeds Prem's Munchlax and Will-O-Wisps. After Will-O-Wisp, Pursuit isn't even a 4,962HKO in combination with Pain Split. If they have Rest, Pain Split also does work.

Cottonee @ Eviolite
Bold | Prankster
32 HP / 196 Def / 196 SpD /72 Spe
-Leech Seed
-Encore
-Hidden Power (Fire)
-Substitute

Substitute beats out Painsplit and will-o-wisp. Leech seed provides good recovery. Encore keeps him from doing anything. HP fire deals with grass (ferroseed) type switch ins.

A big Root gives 1 more HP per turn against max life duskull, equal to the amount leftover recovery gives. Theory monning states that Big root has the potential to do more recovery than leftovers depending on the life of the opponent. Just sometihng to think about. Either way, though, Eviolite is probably a better choice.

Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Morning Sun
- Will-O-Wisp
- U-turn
- Flare Blitz

Doesn't really care about HP Fire, can break Cottonee's Substitute with U-turn and evade Leech Seed as well. Can also Morning Sun the damage off.

Litwick @ Eviolite
Modest | Flash Fire
Some in HP | Max Def | Max SpA
Substitute
Fire Blast
Hidden Power Ground
Shadow Ball

Edit: Sorry about that. This set is fantastic at luring something in and then smashing it with the appropriate move. The coverage here is simply smashing, hitting even common switches as Houndour or Chinchou for superb damage. Life Orb could merit use but would then be generally outclassed by Houndour itself. Doesn't need to invest in Speed, so it can focus on being a bulkier version of Houndour, which is where it stands out. Exeggcute has passable synery with it, also a Normal-type such as Porygon completes such a core.

Arrg, I though of another one, until you added HP Ground ex post. Nevermind:

Anorith @ Life Orb
Trait: Battle Armor
EVs: 236 Atk / 36 SDef / 236 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Rock Blast
- X-Scissor
- Brick Break
- Swords Dance

It is faster, so it can Rock Blast. I've tried not to throw Muchlax in, because that would be too easy. Edit: Rock Blast will do 9 points of damage per hit. Litwick will be 3HKOed, no matter if it has a sub (and 18 HP) or no sub (and 22 HP). Some prior damage like SR will make it far more easier, as Rock Blast then is only required to connect, but three hits are still acceptable.

We are always grateful for more threatening reminders; though I don't really understand the the meaning of "infracteleting", google gives me only one result - this thread. If somebody know, PN me.

Golett @ Eviolite
Trait: Iron Fist
EVs: 244 Atk / 236 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Rock Polish
- Brick Break
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide

Resists all of your moves while setting up on you. Brick Break and Rock Slide grant coverage, while Earthquake is an amazing STAB move. Golett also has a very good Attack of 17 (iirc?) so Rock Polish is very good.

Post more than just a sentence with your sets or I'm gonna start infracteleting.

EDIT (Elevator Music): ps, Golett can't use Shadow Punch in LC

Poliwag @choice scarf
EVs: 196 spd, 196 sp. atk, 116 HP
Modest (+sp. atk -atk)
Hydro pump
Hidden power Grass
Ice Beam
Toxic

Hydro pump does big damage (and in this case OHKOes Golett). Hidden power Grass hits water types hard, ice beam is handy for fliers and grass-types and is a coverage move. Toxic is a filler as Hydro pump with STAB does as much as a super effective psychic anyway against fighting types (though you could keep it specifically to deal with croagunk and tentacool). Modest boosts his not that impressive special attack while still out-speeding nearly all scarfers.

Are golett's shadow punch and other level-up moves going to be properly banned on PO? As I've been using golett with shadow punch and focus punch on PO without any problems.

If you dont post a paragraph with your set explaining how it works and what kind of a team your set works well with there will be trouble. Whilst this is designed to be quick and fun, it is not pc++.

OFFENSIVE FERROSEED

p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; } Ferroseed (M) @ Eviolite

EVs: 4 HP / 196 Atk / 188 Def / 68 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)

- Gyro Ball
- Stealth Rock
- Seed Bomb / bullet seed

basically is my version of ferroseed cause standard ferroseed is gay and banned cause vader says so! anyway it takes all of those attacks by loling with resists and shit. can easily set up stealth rock on the thing and beat the fuck outa the poliwag with seed bomb (i use seed bomb cause not always ohkoing drilbur is sad shit). anyway the mon works well with things that beat fighting types so gastly+larvesta. otherwise just run it on a rain team cause its useful like that. and then procide to kill shit!

Ponyta @ Eviolite
Flash Fire | Jolly
36 HP / 156 Def / 76 SpD / 196 Spe
- Sunny Day
- Morning Sun
- Flare Blitz
- Protect / Wild Charge

I saw Elevator Music using this set a while ago. Sunny Day + Morning Sun gives you pretty amazing recovery, and Ponyta has an extremely high BST and therefore pretty good bulk. Flare Blitz, even without investment, does a ton of damage to everything when Sun is up. Protect is nice for scouting, but this moveslot is basically filler. Wild Charge could be used for Water-types. It's also a soft counter to sand because as long as Drilbur isn't in and Hippopotas is dead, you can stop the sandstorm for the rest of the game. They probably won't expect it.

For what its worth, Elevator music used Flame Body, not flash Fire

Sorry; I dont have a counter; I just wanted to put that out there. Doing 9 weeks worth of current events currently :/... you can tell how well its going for me. I'll counter it later tonight/tomorrow if no one else has.

TIRTOUGA

@eviolite
ability:sturdy
84 HP / 212 Atk / 12 Def / 180 Spe adamant
~ Shell Smash
~ Aqua Tail
~ Stone Edge
~ Aqua Jet

kick ass al set except without the splash plate because the extra bulk is needed to tank a wild charge. anyway great physical bulk lets it tank anything that ponyta is using, especially when it runs no attack. smash will give it 20 speed, and the only thing that is an issue with 20 speed is diglet who gets FUCKED UP by aqua jet. stone edge the ponyta cause its sunny. use it on a team with wynaut/dignaut or a rapid spinner to help keep sturdy alive. you could use solid rock but it honestly doesnt make that much difference. aqua tail is chosen for some reason that al picked when using a splash plate consult the analysis addition comments for details lol

Tirtouga looks like a case for almighty Ferroseed, but since it already had its fun a few posts ago, take "him":

Croagunk @ Eviolite
Trait: Dry Skin
EVs: 212 HP / 36 Def / 188 SAtk / 36 SDef / 36 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Nasty Plot
- Vacuum Wave
- Sludge Bomb
- Dark Pulse

Let us see: Being immune to two of three moves and resistant to the last allows it to set up nasty plot on Tirtouga and dispatch it with Vacuum Wave on its weaker SDef. I expect some prior damage to break Sturdy, otherwise it's wiser just to attack right off the bat.

Zubat (M) @ Eviolite
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 36 HP / 236 Atk / 236 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Brave Bird
- U-turn
- Quick Attack
- Roost

Zubat resists both of Croagunk's STABs and has a reliable recovery in Roost to grant health back. Threatening with a STAB super effective Brave Bird, being faster than Croagunk, and having a quadruple resistance to its priority is what makes Zubat an amazing counter. U-turn is used to Scout and flee from the battleground when under risk, while Quick Attack provides Zubat a priority of its own. Super Fang can be used instead of Quick Attack in order to break through set-up Pokemon.

The EVs give Zubat full offensive power, and are pretty much straightforward. 36 HP aren't there for nothing; due to Zubat's weakness to Rock-type, it takes 25% each time it switches into the common Stealth Rock, thus able to switch four times. 36 HP give Zubat 21 HP, which cannot be divided by four, therefore Zubat is now able to switch into Stealth Rock 5 times.

Zubat probably works best on Offensive teams, being able to regain momentum and stop many Fighting-types. Chinchou makes a good partner, as both create the infamous "Volt-turn" chain, which can be very hard to deal with. Pokemon that are weak to Fighting- Pokemon, such as Porygon and Magnemite, will appreciate Zubat's support. It should be noted that Magnemite creates the "Volt-turn" combo with Zubat as well.

are you all happy now

Anorith @ eviolite
Battle Armor
236 Atk / 36 Def / 236 Spe
Adamant
-Rock blast
-X-Scissor
-Stealth Rocks
-Rapid spin

It outspeeds Zubat and then nails him with a powerful, multi-hit, SE move in rock blast. X-scissor provides a more reliable stab, where as Rocks and rapid spin saves you a slot for maximum support. I've used anorith to great success on some of my more balanced teams, both as a suicide lead and as a general support/pivot. He really appreciates help removing fighting types, though he takes neutral hits from them, , he can't really hurt them, making it a last resort switch in at best.

Gastly can deal with fighting types that dont carry pay back/knock off well enough, but it can't really take advantage of its immunities in combination with anorith. Slowpoke can use its regenerator ability to switch into many of the super effective hits (water and steel and rock) and keep it healthy; while also threatening the fighting types for anorith.

Sweepers that appreciate rock support, houndour and clampearl are the first two that come to mind, also beneift from anorith

Also: I use admant over jolly out of preference. It allows even his Rapid spin to hurt pretty hard against more frail opponents. the set on site states that Jolly > Adamant because it ensures stealth rocks. Thats fine and dandy for a meta with leads, but thanks to preview having a dedicated rocker is more of a waste of a slot than ever before. Adamant allows him to outspeed a lot still (hitting 17) while also hurting significantly harder. If some one wants to go do calcs to prove me wrong, be my guest, I'd be interested to see that.

Timburr @eviolite
EVs: 236 atk, 236 def, 36 HP
Adamant
Guts
Bulk Up
Drain punch
Mach punch
Payback

Bulk up is great for bulky timburr and lets him hit really hard with drain punch and mach punch the first keeping him healthy against the anorith. Payback hits switching in ghosts and psychics hard.

Wooper @ Eviolite
Impish| Unaware
236 HP / 156 Def / 76 SpD
-Waterfall
-Recover
-Toxic
-Counter

Utility counter, using Unaware, can switch-into a Bulk Up and proceed to use Counter if it must without worry. Drain Punch deals a max of 40% damage, meaning even if Timburr has been statused, it cannot OHKO (only 2HKOes some of the time). Works well against other boosting sweepers, such as Swords Dance Mienfoo and even Drilbur if you don't get Rock Slide hax or something stupid like that. You can run some Speed EVs (236 to be exact) to hit 11 Speed and outspeed min Speed Timburr and then use Encore instead of Counter. Alternatively, Earthqauke is a good move but misses the SE hit on Drilbur.

Chikorita (M) @ Eviolite
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 156 HP / 156 Def / 156 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Aromatherapy
- Synthesis
- Toxic
- Giga Drain

Chikorita resists both of Wooper's STABs, and has a x4 STAB move against Wooper in Giga Drain. It also has Aromatherapy to heal Wooper's status, and Toxic of its own to cripple stuff. Synthesis grants Chikorita a recovery move. Because any Steel-type will set up on this set, Hidden Power Fire can be used over Toxic. Being weak to common Fire-, Bug-, and Ice-type moves makes Ponyta an amazing partner. Chikorita also clears the path for Ponyta by removing all the Bulky Waters, while Ponyta takes care of Snover who is a huge threat for Chikorita. Ponyta also beats all the Steel-types this Chikorita is weak to, so it's a multiple-win situation!
