Diancie's great typing and high natural defenses allow it to check numerous top threats, including Thundurus, Obstagoon, Entei, and Chandelure. Diancie can leverage its great matchup against most Defog uers, including Crobat and Togekiss, to set Stealth Rock consistently. Diamond Storm's +2 Defense boost can suddenly make Diancie very difficult to KO with physical attacks and empowers Body Press, a key move that allows Diancie to immediately threaten Stakataka and Zarude along with dealing heavy damage to Registeel after a Diamond Storm boost. This Defense boost can also turn the tables on Zygarde-10% as Diancie can survive Thousand Arrows with boosted Defense, and then deal massive damage with Body Press. Toxic cripples common switch-ins like Seismitoad and Milotic, while also pressuring Togekiss, the only common Defog user that can reliably stall out Diamond Storm's meager PP. Diancie needs a specially defensive spread to check the likes of Xurkitree, Thundurus, and Chandelure comfortably. Should another member of its team already be using Stealth Rock, Diancie can opt to run Heal Bell or Protect in that slot instead. Heal Bell can give crucial cleric support for Diancie and its team, while Protect can stall for Leftovers recovery, rack up Toxic damage, and scout potential choice item users, such as Zygarde-10% and Metagross, to ease switching into them.

Diancie is generally a sitting duck against bulky Water-types, as it can only threaten them with Toxic, so it should have teammates that can switch into them easily. Roserade is particularly notable because it's immune to Toxic, can form an entry hazard-stacking core with Diancie, and can lessen pressure on Diancie to check Raikou and Xurkitree. As Diancie has no reliable recovery of its own, Wish and Heal Bell support from Umbreon can be very beneficial. Diancie is very vulnerable to entry hazards continually chipping away at it as it switches in. Noivern, Volcanion, and Crobat are notable Defog users that appreciate Diancie checking Thundurus and Xurkitree. Volcanion can even switch into various Water-type moves aimed at Diancie, while Noivern and Crobat are great checks to Roserade and Zarude should Diancie not catch them with an offensive move as they switch in. Despite having Body Press, Diancie greatly appreciates Pokemon that can handle faster Steel-types, particularly Cobalion and Metagross. Bulky Water-types such as Seismitoad and Milotic generally do well against these Pokemon. Seismitoad can run Stealth Rock to free up a moveslot for Diancie or vice versa. Milotic is more vulnerable to Thunder Punch from Metagross, but it also has Recover to sustain itself throughout longer games. Galarian Slowbro is a great check to Cobalion in particular, and it can take advantage of Diancie spreading Toxic by boosting with Calm Mind as the opponent is slowly whittled away. Zygarde-10% is a potent offensive threat that Diancie can only handle should it get a Defense boost from Diamond Storm beforehand. Zarude can generally handle Zygarde-10% aside from Superpower as well as reliably handling bulky Water-types, and it enjoys having Diancie to fall back on when threatened by faster Flying- and Fire-types. Bulky Water-types, such as Suicune and Milotic, can also take on Zygarde-10% without fearing its common coverage moves.

Despite a low HP stat, fluff Diancie's great typing and high natural defenses allow it to check numerous top threats, including Thundurus, Obstagoon, Noivern, and Chandelure. Diancie can leverege its great matchup against most Defog uers to setup Stealth Rock consistently as it forces out Pokemon like Chandelure and Entei. Diamond Storm lands important super effective hits on the likes of Crobat, Thundurus, and Noivern while also ensuring the likes of Darmanitan and Volcanion aren't able to switch into Diancie safely. The +2 Defense boost chance can also suddenly make Diancie very difficul to KO with physical attacks while boosting up the power of Body Press, a key move that allows Diancie to immediately threaten Obstagoon and Zarude along with dealing heavy damage to the likes of Registeel and Stakataka after a Diamond Storm defense boost. Toxic is generally preferred as it cripples common switch ins like Seismitoad and Milotic, while also crippling Togekiss, the only common Defog user that can reliably stall out Diamond Storm's meager PP, in the long run. Moonblast is a viable alternative to immediately remove Zygarde-10% while also preventing Heracross from having a relatively safe switch-in. Even with Body Press, Diancie can't afford to not run a specially defensive spread as it would then be unable to check the likes of Xurkitree, Thundurus, and Chandelure comfortably. Careful is the preferred nature, although Sassy should be chosen if Moonblast is being used over Toxic. 16 Defense EVs and a Relaxed nature allows Diancie to always survive Zygarde-10%'s Thousand Arrows and KO back with Moonblast if it's particularly threatening to your team. this isn't rlly something for an analysis i think, you miss calm a lot Should another member of its team already be using Stealth Rock, Diancie can opt to run Moonblast or Heal Bell in that slot instead.

Diancie tends to let in bulky Water-types pretty consistently as it can only threaten them with Toxic, so teammates that can switch into them easily are nice to take advantage of this. Roserade is particularly notable as its immune to Toxic, can form a hazard-stacking core with Diancie, and can take pressure off of Diancie for checking Electric types, particularly Raikou as repeated Scalds will quickly take their toll. As Diancie has no reliable recovery of its own, Wish support from Umbreon can be very beneficial and it can also provide cleric support for Diancie. Due to its lack of reliable recovery, Diancie is also very vulnerable to entry hazards continually chipping away at it as it switches in. Noivern, Volcanion, and Crobat are potent reliable maybe? potent seems weird Defog users that appreciate Diancie checking various special attackers for it. Volcanion can even switch into various Water-type moves aimed at Diancie while Crobat is a great check to Roserade and Zarude should Diancie not catch them with an offensive move as they switch in. Despite having Body Press, Diancie greatly appreciates Pokemon that can handle Steel-types, especially Cobalion and Metagross since they outspeed Diancie. Bulky Water-types, such as Seismitoad and Milotic, generally do well against these Pokemon. Seismitoad can run Stealth Rock to free up a moveslot for Diancie or vice versa, and its secondary Ground typing makes it immune to Thunder Punch, a common coverage move for Metagross. you already said it checks metagross, don't need to explain the mechanics of it Milotic is more vulnerable to Thunder Punch from Metagross, but it also has reliable recovery in Recover to sustain itself throughout longer games. Galarian Slowbro is a great check to Cobalion in particular, and it can take advantage of Diancie spreading Toxic by slowly boosting with Calm Mind as the opponent slowly whittles away. Without Moonblast, Zygarde-10% is a potent offensive threat that Diancie can only handle should it get a Defense boost from Diamond Storm before a Thousand Arrows. Zarude can generally handle Zygarde-10% aside from Superpower as well as reliably handling bulky Water-types, and it enjoys having Diancie to fall back on when threatened by faster Flying- and Fire-types.

Despite a low HP stat, Diancie's great typing and high natural defenses allow it to check numerous top threats, including Thundurus, Obstagoon, Noivern Entei, and Chandelure. Diancie can leverege leverage its great matchup against most Defog uers users to setup Stealth Rock consistently as it forces out Pokemon like Chandelure and Entei Crobat and Togekiss. (doesn't make sense that u're mentioning defog users in the first part of this sentence, to only then mention...chandelure and entei? instead i named defoggers and moved entei to the previous sentence, with chandy alr mentioned there previously. if u think noivern shld be included with these 2, feel free to, just think ppl have been running 3 atk roost more). Diamond Storm lands important super effective hits on the likes of Crobat, Thundurus, and Noivern while also ensuring the likes of Darmanitan and Volcanion aren't able to switch into Diancie safely. (just reads like hey diamond storm hits super effectively on these targets, which can be figured out from type chart! instead, id rather see emphasis on the defense boost and what u can suddenly beat with it that u maybe cldnt before. example: dstorm boost on zyg switchin, u take half then ohko with press). The +2 Defense boost chance can also suddenly make Diancie very difficul difficult to KO with physical attacks while boosting up the power of Body Press, a key move that allows Diancie to immediately threaten Obstagoon Stakataka and Zarude along with dealing heavy damage to the likes of Registeel and Stakataka after a Diamond Storm defense boost. (fluff, u mentioned alr that its the dstorm boost that increases the power of press in the middle of the sentence. if ure linking dstorm boost to press, no rsn to mention goon, it dies at +0. also +2 press ohkos staka because nobody runs max max bold, so move it up and just mention registeel at the very end. also, here's where id like to see more emphasis on the earlier pt about how +2 boost can help). (find a better reason to use moonblast or unslash moonblast tbh. diamond storm 2hkos hera with rocks and getting the def boost is much more valuable, other targets such as zarude u basically 2hko w press as well. discussed with ziza that since dstorm is 2hkoing ur relevant targets, u need a stronger reason for moonblast to validate it). (remove this sentence if u unslash moonblast). 16 Defense EVs and a Relaxed nature allows Diancie to always survive Zygarde-10%'s Thousand Arrows and KO back with Moonblast if it's particularly threatening to your team. (similarly, remove this if unslashing moonblast). Should another member of its team already be using Stealth Rock, Diancie can opt to run Moonblast or Heal Bell in that slot instead.

Diancie tends to let in bulky Water-types pretty consistently as it can only threaten them with Toxic, so teammates that can switch into them easily are nice to take advantage of this. (i think if the opp has a steel, chances are they are going that over the bulky water. would rather you say its a sitting duck vs bulky waters, remove toxic point cuz of the point about the steel and cuz u wldnt rly want to stay in with diancie to tox a water unless in a dire scenario) Roserade is particularly notable as its immune to Toxic, can form a hazard-stacking core with Diancie, and can take pressure off of Diancie for checking Electric types, particularly Raikou as repeated Scalds will quickly take their toll. (adjust write-up to make it clear the elecs that rose help with are only raikou and xurk, it loses to both thund and toxt which are also common). As Diancie has no reliable recovery of its own, Wish support from Umbreon can be very beneficial and it can also provide cleric support for Diancie. Due to its lack of reliable recovery, Diancie is also very vulnerable to entry hazards continually chipping away at it as it switches in. Noivern, Volcanion, and Crobat are potent Defog users that appreciate Diancie checking various special attackers for it. (personally wld slightly rewrite this to first mention theyre prone to elec sp. attackers or mention other specific ones, which diancie answers, THEN mention defog support, which gives reader clarity on the type of attackers ure checking instead of just "various special attackers". more on the subjective end, u decide). Volcanion can even switch into various Water-type moves aimed at Diancie while Noivern and Crobat is a great check are great checks to Roserade and Zarude should Diancie not catch them with an offensive move as they switch in. (no reason to exclude vern, it outspeeds both and is essentially simlar to crobat, both having recovery). Despite having Body Press, Diancie greatly appreciates Pokemon that can handle Steel-types, especially Cobalion and Metagross since they outspeed Diancie. Bulky Water-types, such as Seismitoad and Milotic, generally do well against these Pokemon. (u sly sly man, changing this from our discussion before i got to qc :joy:) Seismitoad can run Stealth Rock to free up a moveslot for Diancie or vice versa, and its secondary Ground typing makes it immune to Thunder Punch, a common coverage move for Metagross. Milotic is more vulnerable to Thunder Punch from Metagross, but it also has reliable recovery in Recover to sustain itself throughout longer games. (wld like to see mentions of defensive partners that can handle zyg-10% as well, only mentioning zarude that is slower AND can drop to a superpower predict feels v off to me)

Got all this. Just straight up removed Moonblast. Decided to throw in Protect as an option when there's already a Rocker since it has way more practical use than Moonblast likelly will. Should be GP ready now.
