There was once a big purple dinosaur named Barney. He enjoyed playing with children and teaching them their ABC's. Barney had a cousin. His name was Dragonite. He was Orange and liked to fuck shit up in the Battle Field. This thread is about him.

Dragonite doesn't have anything special persay when it comes to Dream World. Its ability Multiscale has already been released, but even with that considered what a great Pokemon it is.

One of the biggest selling points of Dragonite is that it can magnificently counter Breloom. Unless Breloom is carrying Stone Edge Dragonite can wall it to hell and back since it x4 resists Bullet Seed and x2 resists Mach Punch. He can then proceed to set up on Breloom with Dragon Dance or just start firing off Outrages if he is the Choice Band varient.

Dragonite (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Outrage
- Fire Punch/Waterfall
- Earthquake/Dragon Claw
- ExtremeSpeed

This set is as simple as it gets. Go out and hit things with Choice Band powered Outrage. Basically every non steel is 2hko'd by this monster and even most steels are 3hko'd allowing you to rip massive wholes in the opponents team. The great part about this set is that if you can get in on a slower Pokemon that you outspeed then its basically good game, since the opponent will be unable to revenge you in one hit due to multi-scale. Outrage and ExtremeSpeed are standard, but the last two move slots can offer a bit of variety. Fire Punch should be used on all teams but rain teams, while under rain Waterfall should take its place. The other move slot can really come down to Earthquake and Dragon Claw. Dragon Claw if you want STAB that won't lock you for 2-3 turns and EarthQuake to get the supereffective damage on Heatran and Tyranitar.

Dragonite (M) @ Lum Berry/Leftovers
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Outrage/Dragon Claw
- Fire Punch/Earthquake/Substitute
- Dragon Dance
- ExtremeSpeed/Roost

The Dragon Dance set is so insanely versatile that it is impossible to really list all its options right here. You can run a variety of spreads and movesets depending on your team and what Pokemon you need to hit. The most basic set up consists of Dragon Dance with Outrage, Fire Punch, and ExtremeSpeed as the moves with Lum Berry to avoid status, either from the opponent or Outrage. If that isn't your cup of tea, it is possible to go a bit more conservative with Dragon Claw and Roost with Leftovers. Either way you run it the basic strategy stays the same. Come in and get a Dragon Dance. If opportunity presents itself start Dragon Dancing some more or just decimate their team with Outrage.
