[OVERVIEW]

Forced to compete with other physical Normal-types such as Stoutland, Kangaskhan, and Dodrio, Furfrou is relegated to a more defensive role that capitalizes on Fur Coat, its access to U-turn, and its above average Speed tier. However, for Furfrou to also not be overly passive and be solely outclassed by Alolan Persian, it must invest into its Attack stat to try to mesh the two roles together. Furfrou unfortunately succeeds at neither. Furfrou also doesn't have that great of an offensive nor a support movepool, acting as the final nail in the coffin.

[SET]
name: Offensive Pivot
move 1: Return
move 2: U-turn
move 3: Toxic / Thunder Wave
move 4: Sucker Punch
item: Leftovers
ability: Fur Coat
nature: Jolly
evs: 32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Furfrou's best attempt is to force out a weakened physical attacker, induce status upon whatever Pokemon is switching in, and then pivot out into a teammate. While this overlapping of roles as an offensive pivot is somewhat unique to Furfrou, the wallbreaking and setup sweeping potential of other Normal-types such as Stoutland, Drampa, Zangoose, and Dodrio is far greater than Furfrou trying to slowly whittle its foes down over time. Furfrou's niche also isn't very useful and therefore is difficult to build a team around.

Furfrou's best attempt is to force out weakened physical attackers, induce status upon whatever Pokemon is switching in, and then either attacking with Return and Sucker Punch or pivoting out with U-turn.(no need to specify what every move does) While this overlapping of roles as an offensive pivot is somewhat unique to Furfrou, the wallbreaking and setup sweeping potential of other Normal-types such as Stoutland, Drampa, Zangoose, and Dodrio is far greater than Furfrou trying to slowly whittle its foes down over time.
