Monotype Gen 9 Steel Team I made! Suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

I saw a post the user Anchor9 made about a dark team and made a story about, inspired by that I made my own steel team
making a story like they did!

With the rise of terrorist Pokémon organizations such as Team Rocket, Plasma, Flare and other ill intentioned groups. Regions have been looking for answers to these heinous attacks on Pokémon and people. To solve this issue, the regions came together to create the United Regions of Pokémon. To work together towards a solution to these criminal organizations at an international level.

SR-72 "Knight" (Corviknight) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 12 Atk / 100 Def / 144 SpD
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- Body Press
- Defog
- Roost

The Galar region was one of the first nations to present a Pokémon capable of combatting these groups. With a combination of steel and flight typing, they are able to counteract the poison and dark type Pokémon these groups tend to use, dubbing it the SR-72, nicknamed "Knight." The SR-72 is able to use it's steel cranium to super effectively hit the magical but extremely dangerous fairy type Pokémon, an interesting decision by the Galar Region was giving the SR-72 the ability to press it's hull against foes. It is also able to use it's wings to remove hazards on the battlefield and repair it's hull using organic materials as well as landing to make self repairs, known as the Roost Maneuver.

G-22 "Plot Device" (Gholdengo) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 172 HP / 124 Def / 132 SpA / 20 SpD / 60 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball
- Nasty Plot
- Protect

The Paldea region was able to combine a gold alloy together to create the G-22 it was coined the "Plot Device" for always muttering "some disturbing things" to itself before releasing a highly volatile attack. It has also been equipped with a levitation device to keep itself safe from powerful ground based assaults. The G-22 was created with durability made in mind being able to completely shrug off attacks and is void being fatigued and or afflicted with any known diseases or affects due to it's material.

KG-175 "Gambler" (Kingambit) (M) @ Black Glasses
Ability: Supreme Overlord
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 Atk / 108 Def / 148 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Kowtow Cleave
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance

The Unova and Paldea regions came together in a highly classified meeting to create a superior version of the BS-174 "Bisharp." The KG-175, or "Gambler." is completely different than it's older counterpart, giving up mobility for more durability and offensive capabilities. Being able to use it's several cleaver blades to attack foes. Despite lacking the mobility it once had, It has high intelligence and is able to foresee assaults and is able to attack beforehand. Along with being an amazing strategist, it has the tendency to go into deep thought and concentrate extremely strong attacks.

MQ-9 "Reaper" (Scizor) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Aerial Ace
- Trailblaze
- U-turn

The Johto region made a notable contribution by taking their inspiration from the Pokémon Scyther. Dubbed the MQ-9 "Reaper." This specific model has been equipped with a unique battery cell that increases it's strength output, at the cost of significantly reducing it's battery life and thus requires a lot of maintenance. It's claws are also capable of exerting force comparable to that of a 5.56mm round. It's also capable of acrobatics allowing it to use the move Aerial Ace with a 100% success rate. It also able to use a grass type based attack to increase it's speed.

M1A2 "Fire Eater" (Heatran) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
- Protect

The M1A2 was created by the Sinnoh Region, being an extremely expensive and time consuming project and thus being able to produce a few a year. It has the unique property of being completely immune to flame based attacks. It has also been given the same levitation device the G-22 was given. Furthermore, the M1A2 is able to spew out large amounts of lava out of it's mouth. It also is able to shake the ground and even use it to attack foes. It's also been used to use debris and shrapnel alike to create hazards.

CH-47A "P.U.N.K." (Goodra-Hisui) (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Shell Armor
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 100 HP / 252 Def / 156 SpA
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Body Press
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Acid Armor

The CH-47A is the pinnacle of defensive capabilities, equipped with a large steel shell frame, it's able to protect itself from many attacks that would normally critically damage it, are now instead completely nullified and do decreased damage. The CH-47A is able to secrete acids from it's body to create a coating of armor against physical attacks. Furthermore, it's able to use a combination of ice and electrical based lasers while hiding in it's shell. Soldiers that have been in combat with the menacing force have given it the nickname "P.U.N.K" which was said to stand for Pokémon Unit Never Killed.

With this special force of Pokémon, the United Regions of Pokémon were able to prevent catastrophes from these terrorist Pokémon organizations.
Ground forces and Pokémon with fire magic still pose a large threat to these Special Forces. Pokémon trained in martial arts also pose a significant threat to these Pokémon being able to strike their bodies with pin point precision that is able to break through their immense defenses.

Thank you for taking the time to read this story, and a huge thanks to Anchor9 for inspiring me to write all this, suggestions to make this team better is also appreciated.

Greetings, officer. We have recognized your efforts.

We ran an analysis on your squadron and understand that as their handler you have played to their best traits - defense.

Today I'm here to offer an alternative.

Though defense is not entirely discarded, it will not be the main focus in my proposal. I have taken the liberty in changing some of your units' missions, equipment, and abilities. In doing so I also felt the need to rotate some units out in favor of two others, one I deem comparably similar and easier to manage and the other to fulfill multiple roles. You may read more all about it ahead.

:corviknight:
SR-72 "Percival" (Corviknight) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Mirror Armor
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 24 Atk / 220 SpD / 12 Spe
Careful Nature
- Bulk Up
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Taunt / Body Press
While SR-72 "Knight" is undoubtedly effective at its defensive role, I'd like to nominate "Percival" for future missions. Cleaning up after others is too humble a role for what this unit is truly capable of. Pairing its ability to repair itself with its overlooked capacity to bolster both its defenses and offensive prowess simultaneously, "Percival" can quickly become the enemy's worst knightmare. Where its previous iteration was more conservative with its attacks, this particular unit hurls itself into the action fearlessly, seemingly with reckless abandon, happily exchanging mere scraps on its chassis to raze its target to smithereens. It can still use its hull to damage whatever is unfortunate enough to be within its immediate reach but now to an even greater degree with its empowered framework, however it can also direct enemy fire unto itself instead, testing the opposition's firepower against its own tried and tested durability and tricking the adversary into their own demise. And lastly, I have decided to change out its armor in hopes that its defenses remain impregnable.

:gholdengo:
G-22 "Plot Device" (Gholdengo) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 172 HP / 124 Def / 132 SpA / 20 SpD / 60 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball
- Nasty Plot
- Recover
Mission results show that G-22 "Plot Device" is performing capably as usual, though Research and Development suggests it should forgo its shield arrays in favor of frame regeneration.

:kingambit:
KG-175 "Gambler" (Kingambit) (M) @ Black Glasses
Ability: Supreme Overlord
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Kowtow Cleave
- Sucker Punch
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head / Low Kick
During testing a personal request from the "Gambler" came forth. It seems old habits die hard for this warworn veteran. We've downsized its form as much as we can to give it better mobility. Though its not as agile as it once was, the "Gambler" is adamant on betting on itself in the coming battles, truly living up to its moniker. We have decided to trust in its judgment.

:scizor:
MQ-9 "Reaper" (Scizor) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Trailblaze
- Close Combat
The "Reaper" while already deadly can be made even deadlier. We're glad to introduce to its arsenal an algorithm that's been adapted from a power-granting ritual along with an optimized martial art of sorts that it can employ in a close-up melee.

:Empoleon:
Empoleon @ Leftovers
Ability: Competitive
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Surf
- Knock Off / Yawn
We are discontinuing "Fire Eater"'s service in favor of the "Bismarck". Though we call it the "Bismarck" that's only the name we've given it during its trials. As its commanding officer, you may choose to name it as you deem fit. Compared to "Fire Eater", the "Bismarck" lacks the ability to 'eat fire', though we trust that it can make up for this with its recovery. Like Heatran however it can also deploy shrapnel on the battlefield that can serve as a nuisance against the opposition in a protracted battle, and where Heatran commands the flames, Empoleon wields a torrential might. The "Bismarck" can optionally be deployed to infiltrate enemy ranks and damage essential supplies or incapacitate targets entirely inconspicuously.

:Iron Treads:
Iron Treads @ Occa Berry
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Ice Spinner
And at last we reach "Centurion". Similar to the "Bismarck", you may rename it as you wish. This Iron Treads in particular is a prototype version and highly experimental. The folks from R&D aren't entirely sure this is the proper way to go about this but their calculations seem.. fruitful enough. "Centurion" can shine where this squadron might have struggled before. When deployed at the right time against an enemy that specializes in fire Iron Treads can seize victory uninterrupted. On top of whirling debris away, we've also modified its structure so that it can inflict wounds that are frigid to the touch.

Afraid that it might underperform, I am including another idea that "Centurion" can pursue while resembling the previously replaced member, "P.U.N.K".
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 248 HP / 48 Def / 212 Spe
Impish Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
