I wouldn't say that it's easily revenge killed in the overview, just mention that it leaves it possible to be revenge killed. scarf rotom isn't on every team.
^yea seriously also in usage tips you make it sound awful and really simple to revenge. rotom is only on like ~10% of teams, and its one of the only things that can actually revenge kill it at +2. downplay that a tad bit, haha. also Maybe mention a few more pokemon it can come in and Smash against. As long as it lives the hit it can pass out, so it shouldnt be too hard to find opportunities to list.

you also have a mention of Steelix in team options.

fix all that and 3/3 :)

read comments; your checks and counters is pretty bad tbh.

seems like the taunt mention could GTFO from the overview (and UT to an extent); taunt users are crappy checks and not being able to set up on fast ones is true of, like, any sweeper. it's not even like archeops wants to 1v1 a bulky water-type wielding scald anyhow, yeah? If you want to mention it in UT, when you say Gorebyss can set up on anything that lacks an SE move, just include Taunt, like 'SE move and Taunt'.
Comments:

Scald: can already implies that it's a matter of getting lucky, especially to anyone who knows how scald works (and if they didn't, you explain it right afterwards so ya)

Are there any other Haze users that Hidden Power Electric is for? If so, maybe include them in checks and counters, but if not, just say HP electric is for Mantine, like so

"Alternatively, Hidden Power Electric deals serious damage to Mantine, whose Haze gives Gorebyss trouble."

Your checks and counters kinda suck. Here's let's go detailed, what i'd include.

**Choice Scarf Electric-types**: Choice Scarf Rotom and Rotom-S outspeed Gorebyss even at +2 and usually OHKO Gorebyss with Thunderbolt if they're carrying it.

**Fast Taunt Users**: Fast Pokemon who commonly carry Taunt such as Archeops, Mismagius, and Liepard can prevent Gorebyss from using Shell Smash, making it useless; Liepard's Prankster Taunt means it can stop Gorebyss even at +2, and its Prankster Encore means it can turn Shell Smash against Gorebyss entirely.

Also, why isn't...say, Lilligant mentioned as a counter? Or Choice Specs Rotom? No, seriously, 'fast taunt user' is just 'double switches into it for the force-out / you can't directly set up on it; no 'fast taunt user' except for pranksters can accomplish jack-shit if they switch into Shell Smash, which is about the same as, say, Lilligant, who can also take a Scald / Hidden Power Electric, and exerts more offensive pressure as you switch out since it's...you know, firing off an LO STAB and not Taunt.

tl;dr 'fast taunt users' don't deserve to be mentioned, they can only 'check' gorebyss with a free switch, and they accomplish little and often can't switch in. Liepard can stay, though Encore is much more notable really.

**Haze Users**: Cryogonal can survive a +2 Surf from Gorebyss and either directly OHKO Gorebyss with a powerful Freeze-Dry or Haze away the Shell Smash boosts that Gorebyss has accumulated. Mantine can also Haze away Gorebyss's Shell Smash boosts as well as waste its White Herb (what? with Defog? it's not like you'd even stay in in that situation, and if you did you'd probably Smash, right? or do you mean by using haze after you smash? that's about as 'wasting it' as forcing you out any other way), though it must be careful of Hidden Power Electric.

**Bulky Grass-types**: Bulky Grass-types such as Tangela can survive a +2 Ice Beam and threaten Gorebyss with its Grass-type STAB attacks. However, no Grass-type save for Ludicolo can directly switch into an Ice Beam. +2 ice beam is just two +0 ice beams, so that actually makes zero sense. Plus, it's in OO, so this seems like a weirdly central mention.

**Phazers**: Most phazers, such as Rhydon, cannot directly threaten Gorebyss. However, they can Roar away recipients of a Shell Smash, eliminating the stat boosts that the recipient has accumulated. Also rhydon dies to Scald. Wanna go ahead and mention a phazer that isn't oneshotted in every situation?

Overview
########

Gorebyss's niche in NU lies in its access to the coveted combination of Shell Smash and Baton Pass. It has all the tools it needs to pull off a SmashPass effectively with decent physical bulk, enough Speed to pass against most threats at +2, and a strong matchup against several Haze users and phazers of NU such as including Mantine and Rhydon. As such, Gorebyss has several opportunities to pass a boost to your team's sweeper and possibly end the game for your opponent. However, Gorebyss is slower than most Taunt users such as Archeops, and will do little to help your team if it is hit by Taunt. Gorebyss also fails to outspeed Choice Scarf Rotom and Rotom-S at +2, leaving it vulnerable to being revenge killed. Its special bulk is also less than stellar, making it difficult to set up against powerful special attackers such as Mismagius. Perhaps most importantly, Gorebyss faces SmashPass competition from Huntail, which has Sucker Punch to deal with Rotom and Cryogonal. Nonetheless, Gorebyss's significantly better matchups against most of NU's phazers and Haze users are all that it needs to set itself apart from Huntail.

Substitute helps Gorebyss safely set up a Shell Smash, or lets it to pass a shield to a teammate in order to protect it from status moves and weaker attacks. Alternatively, Hidden Power Electric deals serious damage to the Haze users that give Gorebyss trouble, particularly Mantine.

Set Details
========

White Herb removes the Defense and Special Defense drops from Shell Smash in order to prevents Gorebyss from weakening its teammates' defenses once. Maximum Speed and a Timid nature make Gorebyss as fast as possible in order to be able to pass a Shell Smash before it takes a hit, specifically against and to outspeed Swellow and Choice Scarf Mesprit. Alternatively, full investment in Special Attack can maximize Gorebyss's offensive capabilities, but it is meant to be used as a supporter and not a sweeper.

Usage Tips
========

Due to Gorebyss's low Speed, it cannot set up a Shell Smash on most users of Taunt such as Archeops. However, once Gorebyss gets to +2, it will outspeed the entire unboosted metagame and most Choice Scarf users, though it still fails to outspeed Choice Scarf Rotom and Rotom-S. Ideally, Gorebyss should use slow, defensive Pokemon such as Uxie for setup bait, as well as choice-locked Fire-types such as Typhlosion and Pyroar. If necessary, however, Gorebyss's decent bulk and good defensive typing allow it to set up on various offensive Pokemon and survive a hit. Generally,(rc) Gorebyss can set up a Shell Smash against almost anything that cannot hit it super effectively, including offensive powerhouses such as Kangaskhan and Scyther. Gorebyss can attempt a late-game cleanup sweep if it needs to, but it should not be your team's primary sweeper because of its poor coverage and uninvested Special Attack.

Team Options
========

Offensive Pokemon that appreciate boosts to their Speed are excellent recipients of Shell Smash. Such sweepers include.,(period to comma) such as Mesprit, Rotom, Malamar, Cacturne, and Samurott,(ac) are excellent recipients of Shell Smash. Gorebyss appreciates Pokemon teammates that can take Grass- and Electric-type attacks aimed at it., such as Typhlosion and can deal with Grass-types,(rc) while Rhydon can deal with ,(ac) respectively. Stealth Rock support from users such as Archeops will aid Gorebyss if it must attempt a sweep. Dual screen support from Uxie makes it easier for Gorebyss to set up a Shell Smash and to protect the recipient of Shell Smash from a revenge kill. Xatu makes a great recipient of a Shell Smash boost because of Magic Bounce,(rc) which bounces back blocks Whirlwind and Roar.;(period to semicolon) Xatu also enjoys bouncing back Taunt against Pokemon that try to prevent Gorebyss from setting up a Shell Smash.

Other Options
########

Gorebyss can Baton Pass defensive stat boosts by use of Barrier and Amnesia, but it lacks the room and the Speed to use either boosting move effectively. Hydro Pump is a more powerful STAB move than Scald, but Scald hits hard enough as is, and Hydro Pump's shaky accuracy can cause problems. Focus Sash can be used to survive a super effective hit from strong attackers such as Choice Specs Rotom, but Gorebyss's teammates will not appreciate receiving a drop to their defenses. Ice Beam hits the Grass-types that threaten Gorebyss such as Tangela and Vileplume, while Signal Beam hits Ludicolo and Psychic-types such as Mesprit, Uxie and Jynx. A fully offensive set consisting of Shell Smash and 3 attacks is usable, but Gorebyss is not a good sweeper due to its low sSpeed, and so is better off passing offensive boosts to its teammates.
