Hex Drakloak functions as an offensive pivot in the NFE metagame where its aim is to spread status in Will-O-Wisp or Thunder Wave to threats like Thwackey, Raboot, and Galarian Mr. Mime, crippling their damage output or Speed. Hex in combination with these allows walls like Galarian Corsola and Mareanie to be broken down easily, and U-turn gives Drakloak the opportunity to pivot out of the field to generate momentum or when threats are not yet in range of its attacks. Fire Blast enables Drakloak to force out Steel-types like Ferroseed that may try to switch into Drakloak and take advantage of it by setting hazards up. Draco Meteor, on the other hand, can be used to output strong damage against the general metagame as well as to hit Pokemon that resist Hex or are immune to the status of choice like Galarian Linoone, Magmar, and Piloswine. Infiltrator enables Drakloak to bypass Substitute users like Lampent whilst also ignoring Light Screen and Aurora Veil.

Holding the second highest Speed in the metagame, Drakloak enjoys being paired with other pivots like Thwackey, Pikachu, and Raboot that value momentum and take advantage of statused threats. Slow Pokemon like Gurdurr and Piloswine really benefit from this, as the spread of paralysis allows them to outspeed the general metagame and impose a better offensive presence. Drakloak's biggest downfall is its low damage output, especially against threats that have not been inflicted with status yet, so having multiple Knock Off and Toxic users like Ferroseed, Thwackey, and Mareanie is beneficial to Drakloak, as they allow it to click Hex more liberally. Drakloak isn't particularly bulky either and lacks recovery, which endorses entry hazard damage as one of its downfalls. As such, having Wish passers like Clefairy or Healing Wish users like Hattrem is a good way to keep Drakloak's longevity intact, especially as Hattrem can prevent entry hazards from being set and has a good matchup against Stealth Rock setters like Piloswine that can easily beat Drakloak. In return, Drakloak can paralyze Vullaby, which easily switches into Hattrem, and limit its ability to use Roost.

Hex Drakloak functions as an offensive pivot in the NFE metagame where its aim is to spread Thunder Wave on fast attackers like Raboot, Torracat and Thwackey providing Speed control for the rest of the team, although it must be wary of Dark-type coverage from the aforementioned Pokemon. Hex in combination with Thunder Wave allows for walls like Galarian Corsola and Mareanie to be broken down easily as well while U-turn gives Drakloak the opportunity to pivot out of the field when facing difficult match ups against the likes of Machoke and Piloswine. Draco Meteor is used to hit Pokemon who resist or are immune to Hex like Vullaby or Galarian Linoone. Fire Blast on the other hand enables Drakloak to force out Steel-types like Ferroseed who may try to switch into Drakloak and take advantage of it. Clear Body allows for Drakloak to ignore stat lowering hazards like Sticky Webs or abilities like Intimidate.

As the second fastest Pokemon in the metagame, Drakloak enjoys being paired with other pivots like Galarian Linoone, Mienfoo and Raboot who can value momentum and take advantage of Thunder Wave's effect. Galarian Linoone especially works well with Drakloak as it can knock out Eviolites and lower the stats of opposing threats when pivoting out, letting Drakloak come in safely whilst providing a Fighting-type immunity. Drakloak's biggest downfall is its damage output being weak especially against threats who have not been inflicted with status yet so having multiple Knock Off and Toxic users like Machoke, Thwackey and Mareanie is beneficial to Drakloak as it allows it to click Hex more liberally. Drakloak isn't particularly bulky either and doesn't like taking entry hazards chip (I think it makes sense for somewhere in this sentence to mention its lack of recovery as another reason for being susceptible to hazard chip, additionally could mention how Clefairy and the later mentioned Hattrem also can provide is recovery with Wish/Healing Wish respectively since Drakloak wants to pivot often so may be switching into hazards a lot) so packing defoggers like Togetic or hazard preventers like Hattrem is a good way to keep Drakloak's longevity intact, especially as Hattrem has an impeccable match up against Stealth Rock setters like Piloswine who can easily beat Drakloak, while Drakloak can threaten out other Stealth Rock users like Galarian Corsola who Hattrem has a more difficult match up against.

Hex in combination with Thunder Wave allows for walls like Galarian Corsola and Mareanie to be broken down easily as well while U-turn gives Drakloak the opportunity to pivot out of the field when facing difficult match ups against the likes of Machoke and Piloswine Change to Vullaby. You don't want to take an Ice Shard.. Draco Meteor is used to hit Pokemon who resist or are immune to Hex or cannot be paralysed like Vullaby or Galarian Linoone or piloswine. also mention it being more immediate damage. Fire Blast on the other hand enables Drakloak to force out Steel-types like Ferroseed who may try to switch into Drakloak and take advantage of it. Clear Body allows for Drakloak to ignore stat lowering hazards like Sticky Webs or abilities like Intimidate. drakloak does not care about intimidate. also, infiltrator bypassing screens/sub (e.g. to para a sub haka or kill a weakened lampent) is worth a slash imo.

As the second fastest Pokemon in the metagame, Drakloak enjoys being paired with other pivots like Galarian Linoone Thwackey, Mienfoo and Raboot who can value momentum and take advantage of Thunder Wave's effect. Galarian Linoone especially works well with Drakloak as it can knock out Eviolites and lower the stats of opposing threats when pivoting out, letting Drakloak come in safely whilst providing a Fighting-type immunity. I don't really agree with this. Drakloak has a bad matchup vs our best Fighting-type (Machoke) and GLinoone itself doesn't benefit from twave and makes it hard to add actual Kadabra checks like Vullaby which offer more utility generally speaking.. I'd prefer more focus on Fighting-types, particularly Mienfoo and Machoke instead since the former offers way more immediate damage, benefits more from the speed control & can threaten to break Kadabra's sash for Drakloak w/ Fake Out (while still doing all the same knock off stuff) and Machoke is absurd with Dynamic Punch and the speed control is huge for it. Drakloak's biggest downfall is its damage output being weak especially against threats who have not been inflicted with status yet so having multiple Knock Off and Toxic users like Machoke, Thwackey and Mareanie If you change the para above you might want to change Machoke to Vullaby or Ferroseed. is beneficial to Drakloak as it allows it to click Hex more liberally. Drakloak isn't particularly bulky either and lacks recovery which endorses entry hazards chip as one of its downfalls, having Wish passers like Clefairy and Hattrem Rephrase this so you aren't implying Hattrem learns Wish is a good way to keep Drakloak's longevity intact, especially as Hattrem can prevent entry hazards from being set and has an impeccable match up against Stealth Rock setters like Piloswine who can easily beat Drakloak Piloswine is one of the few setters that can kinda pressure Hatt, I wouldn't call it "impeccable" but the rest of the line can stay.. Drakloak in return can threaten out other Stealth Rock users like Galarian Corsola who Hattrem has a more difficult match up against. You're letting Rocks go up in this example which is a lil too matchup-variant for my tastes. Change this to note how Drakloak can para Vullaby, limiting its ability to use Roost.

Minor nitpick but hex should probably be the first move on the set since that's the set name
