Something Worth Fighting For
[OVERVIEW]
With a crippling weakness to Stealth Rock and only base 20 Attack, Ledyba is chasms afar from being an ideal offensive threat. While Swords Dance, the high Base Power of Acrobatics, and the niche ability Rattled can marginally mitigate these issues, they don't address Ledyba's other problems such as the extensive team support it requires and the reliance on getting both a Swords Dance and Rattled boost to get anywhere. One is much better off running a more immediately threatening Flying-type such as Rufflet or Vullaby.
[SET]
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Acrobatics
move 3: Knock Off
move 4: Drain Punch
item: Berry Juice
ability: Rattled
nature: Jolly
evs: 36 HP / 196 Atk / 116 Def / 156 Spe
[SET COMMENTS]
Ledyba can set up with Swords Dance against Fighting-types such as Mienfoo and Timburr. Ledyba can also take advantage of these Pokemon using Knock Off against it, activating its Rattled ability. After hopefully acquiring both a Swords Dance and Rattled boost, Ledyba should try to get off as many attacks as it can with its coverage moves. However, due to its 4x weakness to Stealth Rock and the necessity of setting up with Swords Dance as well as being hit by Knock Off to accomplish anything, Ledyba should never be used over better Flying-types such as Vullaby and Doduo.
