Name: Groudon
Nerfed Stats: 90 / 115 / 100 / 80 / 70 / 55
[BST:510] (-10 HP, -35 Atk, -40 Def, -20 SpA, -20 SpD -35 Spe)
Removed Moves: Stone Edge, Swords Dance, Thunder, Thunder Punch
Ability: Heatproof
Justification: Nerfed its stats and removed its strong rock coverage + strong Electric coverage. Drought is banned in NU so I replaced it with a useful ability in Heatproof.
Competitive Insight: A neat bulky SR user with alot of wallop behind it. An effective Bulk Up set can also be ran.
Name: Ho-oh
Nerfed Stats: 86 / 105 / 70 / 90 / 104 / 75
[BST:530] (-20 HP, -25 Atk, -20 Def, -20 SpA, -50 SpD -15 Spe)
Removed Moves: Earthquake, Recover, Earth Power, Sacred Fire
Ability: Pressure [HA: Flame Body]
Justification: Its mini Ho-oh! It loses Regenerator and its ludicrous special bulk. Also toned down its power and speed. Axed Ground coverage so Rock types can be prime switchins. Also axed Recover so if it heals its gotta risk that Earthquake. I decided to ax Sacred Fire as well, as that move really limits switchins
Competitive Insight: A great mixed attacker that can tank a special hit if needed be, Ho-Oh is a great choice for any NU team. Its crippling weakness to SR is unfortunate however, and greatly limits its switch in opportunities. Sacred Fire may be gone, but It still got Flare Blitz. Its quirky coverage (Giga Drain!) and decent SpA allow it to run a great Specs lure.
Name: Kyogre
Nerfed Stats: 80 / 90 / 70 / 120 / 80 / 70
[BST:510] (-20 HP, -10 Atk, -20 Def, -30 SpA, -60 SpD -20 Spe)
Removed Moves: Thunder, Calm Mind, Ice Beam, Water Spout, Blizzard
Ability: Rain Dish
Justification: Instead of going the same route as its counterpart, while I did nerf the Ocean Ogre, it still retains much more offensive presence. I did ax Calm Mind and its best coverage options tho, as that might make it too much to handle (and now any hardy Grass type is a bonafied counter). Drizzle once again is not allowed in NU so I granted it the next worst thing: Rain Dish!
Competitive Insight: With STAB Orgin Pulse coming off its 120 SpA stat, its gotta hurt! But while it can certainly hit hard, its not as fast as it wants to and doesn't have the coverage it desires makes it weird to use.
