SS Balanced Hackmons is a broken metagame but won't be removed because the "SS Balanced Hackmons" format isn't actually predicated on balance itself. There simply aren't enough users on this thread to make objective decisions, and the people that are here have known each other for over 4 years, so there's a high susceptibility to "bandwagoning", which, in a small environment like this, is omnipotent.
BH is certainly overpowered, but its also the narrative; to the people that play this format, Balanced Hackmons is the "glue" that holds everything together. It gives them a sense of identity and distinction among both the standard formats and the Other Metas proper. Challenging Balanced Hackmons isn't simply a challenge to such, but to this entire community. You are challenging them, their ideologies, and their identity. "Balanced Hackmons is an integral part of OMPL", and anytime this narrative is threatened, bans are enacted to ensure the narrative sticks. The same applies with Balanced Hackmons, and in this sense, going for a ban is the best you could hope for, because if this gets polled, the bandwagoning I mentioned earlier will ensure it stays around.
Know that you have my support, and take what you will from this post, but don't bother replying to it, because like a Ana, I'm out.
Additional Note: This post was not edited by a moderator, nor was this edit inspired by the post directly beneath mine. While my stances haven't changed (for instance, SS Balanced Hackmons is still a problem), these threads already have enough vitriol in them. I want to see this community grow and prosper, however some of the shenanigans that transpire on this thread can serve as a breeding ground for toxicity, which I'm not immune to being affected by. Receiving laughing emojis is one thing, however the likes demonstrated just how well the community took these words. With that said, I'm fading out like a Ana, however, like a Conja, I may continue to lurk along the shadows, and if anyone is willing to engage these points, like a comrade, I'll return.

Sevag’s & Cityscapes’s BH8 Power Rankings: Brought to you by the SR Circlejerk
In this tier list, the higher tiered player is expected to have an advantage over a lower tiered player, and within each tier the match ups are generally a toss up and the players are seen as equally likely to win.
Tier 1:
stresh
Stresh: Back to back BH8 Open winner. Unquestionably, currently the best gen8bh player out there. Each build is innovative and unique, and is currently one of, if not the strongest OM player out there.
Tier 2:
Big BH starter energy. Have proven to be the top bh players by consistently winning and innovating. Either they have an extremely strong grasp on the meta and can individually build and play, or have shown to consistently win despite not being totally familiar in the metagame.
XxSevagxX: Gentleman Gamer. Sevag has a great competitive mentality and is always down to keep improving and keep trying new things no matter what happens. He has a BH open top 2 under his belt, and he has ample experience playing and winning against top-tier players. Although this is his first major tournament, he has a great chance of performing well.
Cityscapes: Will bring unmons like Victini and Suicune. But for some reason… they will always work. Has a really unique grasp on teambuilding and has a lot of experience winning in bh opens, and in team tours. Understands the meta well and is a safe pick that will always do the most possible in a game to win.
A loser: Good at building generally solid stuff that requires a strong sense of the meta to crack, and even then you’re still facing terrifying wincons like QD Adaptability Yveltal in the hands of a capable player. I am not looking forward to facing Loser, especially if he puts in the work to build a wide variety of teams.
PinkDragonTamer: How is he not washed yet. I swear he only plays in team tours, but he always wins??? Should get strong results as a starter, but might need some team support by a tier 3 or 4 player to ensure that he brings a sound team each round.
Tier 3:
Solid players who have established their own style within the BH meta. These players are pretty scary to face, but can struggle with consistency so definitely benefit from Tier 4 support. A properly supported Tier 3 player will most likely do fine.
Quantum Tesseract: Really strong all around players. Known for his very sound balance and semi-stall builds. These teams can be a bit simple and formulaic sometimes, however they often will get the job done. Has been a consistent bh tour builder and player, and will do well in meta he’s drafted for.
Sugarhigh: It’s Sugarhigh, we all know what he does. Final gambit and weather go brrrr.
Onyx Onix 7: Good builds with both hyper offense and stall strategies, but he hasn’t been in many high-pressure tournaments and he can struggle with self-confidence. Invaluable as support and a threatening opponent as well.
Smove_$wag (TTTech): A long time BH player who is known for his very passive but sound builds. Is a really strong in-game player who will generally win the 50 / 50s and is really good at gameplanning and finding wincons in tight situations. Should be drafted as a BH starter who can win games with the right team support.
A Touch of Crazy: Creates really strong builds. Is able to effectively implement gimmicks in a sound team structure to win games. Also a strong player and is able to win games in tight situations. Known for starting the imprison-form Zac-C wave.
Nihilislave (Asou & Chihiro): Known for building unconventional hyper offense styles like boomspam and gambits. Though these can flop on occasion, they catch an opponent unaware equally as often. Though they are somewhat unproven, they made a strong run in the SM BH cup so they’ve shown a decent capability to win BH games.
Tier 4:
Good BH players who can still be slotted in if needed and stand a decent chance against stronger players. These players can all build for themselves and test, so if you have more than 1 then they can really pull together and become even more productive.
Lph: Had a really nice run to top 8 in bh open. Also played in OMWC once and won his game. Has proven to be a consistent competitive bh player. Is one of the strongest testers here, and can be a starter as well with some strong support.
Ivar57: He created the rain sample a while ago and he beats both of us at chess. He likes building with a stronger defensive core so the team is more resilient against just collapsing, but still with a primary idea in mind such as weather or paraspam. Good at analyzing teams and seeing why they work or don’t.
Stolen Identity (Yolk): Was a top BH7 player known for his insane ladder runs (do /rank controlled yolk) and signature offense build that was at the same time very solid and had counterplay to opposing wincons. He recently just jumped into the scene and was able to quickly wipe off the rust, and play at a high level. Very quickly learned the meta, and has gone 30-0, 30-1 multiple times already. Could fill the role as a really strong sub, and tester.
KeeganSkymin4444 (Soul Dew Latias): The definitive ladder hero of BH (other than Dimrah). He mostly just brings 1 team, but he puts in the effort to make it pretty resilient against bad matchups/situations. Is a strong tester because his team is very well balanced so you can judge overall viability against it pretty reliably from my experience.
Aethernum: Solid player, and builder. Would be valuable team support via testing and building. Can be a pinch sub as well if needed. Good at not throwing games.
Apathetic Inaction (aninterestingidea): Has only really had success with one team, but that one team he built is currently one of the better ones out there. A strong player, and will make the plays necessary to win. A bit new and unproven, and I’m curious to see whether he can create strong teams beyond his one team. A really good sleeper pick, and can prove this tour that he is currently one of the top bh players.
SuperSkylake: BH boomer. Pretty active player so you should do pretty well with him as support, and he’s capable of giving stronger players a run for their money. That said, he can definitely struggle against good prep and has a somewhat limited handle on the meta.
Willdbeast: He told me once to use a belly drum pixilate Cramorant. He has some of the most unique BH set ideas. Not all of them will work, but there will always be a diamond in the rough, which can win a game instantly. Can act as invaluable team support via testing, building, and as a potential sub. He knows how to win, and would be a strong pick for any team.
Tier 5:
These players have a decent grasp on the meta and can test if needed, but can struggle against higher-tier players without sufficient support.

I'm Bored so I decided to do a PR for NFE. aka
in the hills' King Leo V's OMPL Player Guide
NFE:
This ranking is Strictly ordered with some players rated at the same level. I tried to guess a price range where they end up in the draft as well so the managers can plan their draft accordingly. (OFC we might see significant changes to this).
#1:
Skysolo: (16-18k) aka Strap.
It should be pretty clear to people that if a really good player decides to actually play NFE, they would end up being really good at it and Skysolo is a clear example of that. Clear first pick for OMPL for me similar to Jett.

Does not really need any intro. Has been solid at the tier for a while and consistently.

Yes I know I know it's supposed to be #. But it would be unfair to rank Jett lower. Personally, I think both of them have a similar caliber and would and should go for a similar price too.

tlenit: (10-12k) Great player who made it all the way to the finals of the NFE Open. I believe he was using 85's teams for this tournament so not sure how independent he is, but I have no doubt he'd be able to build for himself given a bit of time if he isn't already during UMPL. (Jett).

Ojr: (10-12k) My personal favorite pick of the tour. Might end up cheaper than the picks above but I have confidence that he can end up at least with a positive record in the tour. BEAT FRISO AND XAVGB in UMPL. That should talk for itself. (3-1 in UMPL).
#4:
Mamp: (8k-11k)
No idea how well they've been able to pick up NFE since they went inactive for a bit. Known to be a good player though and will likely be picked up anyways cause they are cool. (Jett).
#4:
Professor Tox: (6k-8k)
A good player can probably start too. If you cannot tolerate a bit of annoying though stay away. (3-1 in UMPL).

Monsareeasy: (6k-8k)
Has a weird take on the tier but is an alright pick, it's better to have a backup player though to correct him in case he goes nuts with his takes. (3-1 in UMPL).
#4:
Rav3dan: (6k-8k)
Plays with solid builds and does not make a lot of mistakes. Good temperament so always a good teammate to have.
#4:
Shing'nSheets: (6k-8k)
Huge tryhard so if you get him for cheap is a good pick. Don't expect him to do insanely good but can manage to put up a fight against most of the players.
#4:
Pileosand/lepton: (5k-7k)
Step 1 to competitive pokemon.. believe in yourself. Has a decent ability to play but has serious issues when it comes to self-confidence. I believe it is seriously holding her back from going big. But getting picked and self-confidence are kinda correlated so maybe this is her breakthrough? We'll see.
Support/potential sub:
85percent: (6k-8k)
Although they would not start Solid builder, personally one of my favorite. If paired with tlenit/arctic/Ojr or maybe even MAMP/ other tour players, might be very effective.
Hys: (3k-5k)
Solid builder and player too, who is worth pairing up with anyone who needs support.

NFE:
This ranking is Strictly ordered with some players rated at the same level. I tried to guess a price range where they end up in the draft as well so the managers can plan their draft accordingly. (OFC we might see significant changes to this).
#1:
Skysolo: (16-18k) aka Strap.
It should be pretty clear to people that if a really good player decides to actually play NFE, they would end up being really good at it and Skysolo is a clear example of that. Clear first pick for OMPL for me similar to Jett.

Does not really need any intro. Has been solid at the tier for a while and consistently.

Yes I know I know it's supposed to be #. But it would be unfair to rank Jett lower. Personally, I think both of them have a similar caliber and would and should go for a similar price too.

tlenit: (10-12k) Great player who made it all the way to the finals of the NFE Open. I believe he was using 85's teams for this tournament so not sure how independent he is, but I have no doubt he'd be able to build for himself given a bit of time if he isn't already during UMPL. (Jett).

Ojr: (10-12k) My personal favorite pick of the tour. Might end up cheaper than the picks above but I have confidence that he can end up at least with a positive record in the tour. BEAT FRISO AND XAVGB in UMPL. That should talk for itself. (3-1 in UMPL).

Mamp: (8k-11k)
No idea how well they've been able to pick up NFE since they went inactive for a bit. Known to be a good player though and will likely be picked up anyways cause they are cool. (Jett).

Professor Tox: (6k-8k)
A good player can probably start too. If you cannot tolerate a bit of annoying though stay away. (3-1 in UMPL).

Monsareeasy: (6k-8k)
Has a weird take on the tier but is an alright pick, it's better to have a backup player though to correct him in case he goes nuts with his takes. (3-1 in UMPL).

Rav3dan: (6k-8k)
Plays with solid builds and does not make a lot of mistakes. Good temperament so always a good teammate to have.

Shing'nSheets: (6k-8k)
Huge tryhard so if you get him for cheap is a good pick. Don't expect him to do insanely good but can manage to put up a fight against most of the players.

Pileosand/lepton: (5k-7k)
Step 1 to competitive pokemon.. believe in yourself. Has a decent ability to play but has serious issues when it comes to self-confidence. I believe it is seriously holding her back from going big. But getting picked and self-confidence are kinda correlated so maybe this is her breakthrough? We'll see.
Support/potential sub:
85percent: (6k-8k)
Although they would not start Solid builder, personally one of my favorite. If paired with tlenit/arctic/Ojr or maybe even MAMP/ other tour players, might be very effective.
Hys: (3k-5k)
Solid builder and player too, who is worth pairing up with anyone who needs support.
