This is the team I'm using and I want to get some feedback on it.
Thanks in advance.
Gengar @ Focus Sash
Ability Levitate
Nature Mild (+SpA, -Def)
EVs: 252 SpA, 4 SpD, 252 Spd
-Icy Wind
-Focus Blast
-Shadow Ball
-Counter
Icy Wind Gengar Lead. This attacking lead deals with most common leads in the 4th gen. Icy Wind first turn to reduce speed and breaks sashes, and then finish with either Focus Blast or Shadow Ball. The other pokemon can either attack or set up rocks, but either way, dies by turn two. If the opposing lead is a physical attacker, like Machamp or Tyranitar, I can use Counter to just finish them. I am also thinking about replacing Focus Blast with HP Fighting b/c the accuracy is unappealing to me.
Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability Technician
Nature Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
EVs: 248 HP, 252 Atk, 8 Spd
-Pursuit
-Bullet Punch
-U-Turn
-Superpower
Standard Choice Band Scizor setup. With Bullet Punch and U-Turn as its moves, it makes a good revenge killer and scout. Along with its several resistances and decent defenses, it can tank up a good amount of damage.
Superpower is there for coverage over other steel types, like Heatran or Magnezone.
Flygon @ Choice Scarf
Ability Levitate
Nature Jolly (+Spe, -SpA)
EVs: 4 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Spd
-U-Turn
-Fire Blast
-Earthquake
-Outrage
Flygon is a secondary scout as well as a potential late game sweeper. Outrage and Earthquake are the primary STABs to hit hard and fast. Fire Blast is there to deal with Skarmory. In addition, since Flygon is immune to both Ground and Electric Attacks, I can find opportunities to switch in, use U-Turn quickly, and then switch again to a more appropriate counter. Its ground typing also gives it Stealth Rock resistance, so I can switch in a little more.
Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability Levitate
Nature Sassy (+SpD, -Spd)
EVs: 252 HP, 84 Atk, 80 Def, 92 SpD
-Stealth Rock
-Payback
-Gyro Ball
-Earthquake
My wall and Stealth Rocker. Steel/Psychic Typing and Levitate make Bronzong a great wall for many pokemon. Payback its Starmie and Rotom, Gyro Ball is a good STAB move that hits Tyranitar hard. Earthquake is there to hit Fire types that would normally dance circles around it. I am considering replacing Earthquake with Exposion, as to deal with unforseen problems.
Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability Water Absorb
Nature Bold (+Def, -Atk)
EVs: 248 HP, 224 Def, 36 SpD
-Wish
-Protect
-Ice Beam
-Surf
The healer of my team and my favorite pokemon of all time. With Wish, it can heal itself and its teammates. Surf is a powerful STAB that keeps Skarmory and Gliscor at bay. Ice Beam is there to deal with Dragonite and other Grass pokemon. I am considering replacing Ice Beam with Toxic so I can break other stalling pokemon.
Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability Natural Cure
Nature Timid (+Spd, -Atk)
EVs: 252 SpA, 4 SpD, 252 Spd
-Rapid Spin
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam
-Hydro Pump
The Rapid Spinner of my team. Knocks out entry hazards and functions as a counter to common sweepers like Gyarados and Dragonite with BoltBeam. Hydro Pump is there so it can OHKO spin blockers like Rotom. I decided no to run this one with recover, since I have a Wish healer on my team.
Thanks in advance.
