Silly Things You've Seen In Other Metagames

That's the BW version in Thread Cryonics. XY OU had a 293-page whopper (which helped get me into Showdown in the first place, in an "even I can do better than these guys!" manner), which eventually was closed. michaeloche was there, he might be able to elaborate.
Aye, I was there too, If you wanted true garbage, that thread was the place to go. unfortunately it was closed because people started posting crappy replays and hating on small stuff that wasn't really relevant. Otherwise, it was quite funny.

I think many of us were there. Even I was around too. That thread actually got me to stop being a lurker and join the site. I should go back to watching some of these replays and posting the stupid ones, but I just need more time.

Replays are back, and with them, the stupidity.

Copy/pasted this one in at team preview. I'll let you guess why.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-266944659
Not one Treecko, but two of them. Rayquaza gets two bonus kills thanks to misses, as does Arcanine later on, plus Leftovers screws over a FEAR attempt.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/pu-266947810
Hey, just because it's PU does not mean you should use shitmons.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-266945292
Speaking of which, Charmander. Plus a FEAR Smeargle failing badly, Draining Kiss Shell Bell Klefki, and Slaking, using Giga Impact on Tyranitar.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-266946355
EvasionPass Drifblim and Cosmic Power Castform vs. Dark Pulse Mega Gyarados and non-mega versions of Steelix, Charizard, and Salamence.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-266949022
Normal Banette, Doublade, Delcatty, and Liepard.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-266948144
Well, that was an interesting Groudon set. Until he ran into Slaking, which has 150 base HP. Said Slaking had Speed Boost as well, only to fall victim to Pixilate Extreme Speed Mega Diancie.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-266941508
Ditto without a scarf, mixed Arceus-Fairy, normal Metagross, and turn 15.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-266947880
Among other things, non-scarfed Heatran spamming Eruption even at low health, Flare Blitz Charizard-Y, and Assault Vest Emboar.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/hackmons1v1-266986435
The opposing Gengar-Mega used Quick Attack!
Yveltal lost 5.5% of its health!

The next one needs context. Someone in the OM chat was joking about roseli berry Dragonite being horribly cancerous. I then remembered the ridiculous amount of moonblast Kyogre on the hackmons 1v1 ladder, which I had no reliable answer to. So of course I decide to make my team that much more cancerous by getting rid of the safety goggles on giratina which I never found myself needing anyway.

I am at a loss for words. The only viable thing was Infernape He really needs to start using Contrary
I'm just going to go through a brief explanation of my thoughts when I said what I said, and context in general.

★I'm NOC Afraid: the scary part is that that torment hurt me the most
Well, the Torment harmed my Giratina the most out of everything he did to it.

★I'm NOC Afraid: GIRATINA SWEEP
My Giratina was about to sweep him 6-0. All he had left were two fire types. Need I say more?

InfernapeTropius11: "it doesn't use PH Tina"
To understand this, you'll have to look at the RMT in my signature, which originally didn't use Giratina as I used it all the time (I just use it to counter so much shit).

★I'm NOC Afraid: two close combats tho
I was Impostered to his Infernape, which had Close Combat twice. Need I say more?

★I'm NOC Afraid: CC on a ghost type...lol
He used Close Combat on my Giratina. Enough said.

Well, Now I'll do the other battle against the same person, which is much funnier.

★NOC Hell's Spawn: no snakes, snakes lack hugging power!
★NOC Hell's Spawn: so they lose
In the middle of the battle, while I was sweeping him with Arceus, I decided to be a goober and just huggify him. This is the result of this hugging power.

★NOC Hell's Spawn: your last friend has no happiness, he needs a hug too!
★NOC Hell's Spawn: Share the hugs!
Again, just me being a goober.

★NOC Hell's Spawn: yay!
★NOC Hell's Spawn: have some more love!
★Nesatnoon: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Water break
After two turns, I finally put his last mon to sleep. You get the picture.

★NOC Hell's Spawn: no more need for me to hug you again, you have been huggified
I both leeched his health and put him to sleep. No more hugs needed.

★NOC Hell's Spawn: It's the friendly serial killer!
Arceus had just taken two victims. He was hugging them though.

Dragon Dance Garchomp, and the spectator's reaction once I reveal my trap card on Latios. And "I'm a noob" too.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-267080890
Baton Pass in BH. Uhhh... do I need to explain why is bad?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-267082069
Another Baton Pass team, but what IS wrong in here is freaking Zangoose of all things and Chill Drive Genesect on the left, Volbeat on the right. Also I don't know how you try to avoid the pass spamming Dark Pulse on a Blaziken.

basically everything is wrong here. the battle speaks for itself.
Toxic non-Moody Bidoof, Hyper Voice/Baby-Doll Eyes Lopunny using Fake Out after its first turn out, Belly Drum Smeargle picks the perfect time to set up (and why are you setting up against six Ditto?), pseudo-FEAR Magikarp (hint: it doesn't work without rain and attack boosts), and the specially-attacking Lopunny sweeps. Or rather, Ditto as the specially-attacking Lopunny sweeps.

What is even.

#1. Non-No Guard Dynamic Punch, Mega Punch, Fire Punch, and Ice Punch Hariyama named Marco Ciuto (even using Fire Punch on Giratina when it stayed in!)
#2. Air Balloon Gale Wings Diglett named Icanfly.
#3. Baby-Doll Eyes Fairy Gem Gyarados-Mega named CutiePie.
#4. Focus Sash Contrary V-create Floette named Ms Terror.
#5. Leftovers Slurpuff named CharlesManson.
#6. A Steelix-Mega named Ian Thorpe with Rain Dance, Surf, Dive and Bubble, holding a Mystic Water.
WTF

Started Anything Goes today. You all know what this means lol...

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-268278844
Shadow Claw Weavile trying to hit Arceus with it, Head Smash / Double-Edge / Autotomize Mega Aggron, special regular Sharpedo, physical Yanmega with Aerial Ace, takes me 14 turns to beat that team (13 if it wasn't for Turn 13's missclick).

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-268280018
Hazard stacking special Ferrothorn. No idea about the rest of the team, I just wreck it too quickly lol.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-268281091
Note to self: do not set a Swords Dance when Ditto is there, otherwise this happens.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-268282453
LEFTOVERS EEVEE WITH PROTECT AND LAST RESORT. Also Tangela in the back.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-268283102
Mono ScarfGambit Victini.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-268285017
"Really". Yes, it's called Anything Goes for a reason.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-268285315
OHKO spam, Focus Miss Mega Mewtwo Y (it gets Aura Sphere you know?).

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-268286343
Two Smeargles failing hard against Extreme Killer Arceus, same for Mega Kangaskhan.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-268287265
Mono-Fire. And if Charizard was the Mega, Houndoom was a regular one... (btw still haven't found the infamous non-Mega Charizard).

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-268288202
Sucker Punch fail... forfeit.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-268288636
I don't know what Aura Sphere hits, but Arceus sure is.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-268291472
Lol what? I mean, you know how to play with Mega Kanga... no?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-268292289
I'd run Rough Skin on Druddigon, but anyway why are you using it?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-268293730
Interesting team, unfortunately, Moody is luck based, and Stealth Rock = RIP Sashes.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-268294223
Cryogonal. Also, Cryogonal, don't waste your time using Light Screen, I don't have a single special attack in the team. Iron Defense Slowbro gets ruined by a crit, then Sitrus Berry Darkrai (wtf) comes in and chooses the worng moment to boost. And then... time's up!

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-anythinggoes-268296072
★dsm77773: oh a serious team
★dsm77773: finally
I think this pretty much sums up my experience with the AG ladder. But I wonder if Surf + Origin Pulse Primal Kyogre is standard.
