Hey, everyone. As some of you may know, we've started this project to develop a ranking of the best Sun/Moon Little Cup players. Several of the top LC battlers and analysts were sent a comprehensive list of over 100 players with consistent or successful LC tournament showings. Each person was asked to score each player based on the following guideline: "If this player were to enter a SM LC tournament tomorrow, what is the likelihood of them winning?' A score of 1 denotes least likely, where a score of 10 is most likely. All of the scores were averaged together to determine the final ranking. The highest and lowest ranking for each player was removed to reduce variance. The following ranking represents the Top 50 players.
The intended goal of this project was to hopefully reward players who show consistent success in major Little Cup tournaments and to incentivize new players to join the metagame and start climbing the ranks. By its nature, Smogon encourages a competitive environment, which is something we believe should be nurtured. Thank you to everyone who voted, provided feedback and gave suggestions. I really appreciated it!
