Ladies and Gentlemen, it is time for the 21th edition of everyone's favorite tournament: the Smogon Tour!

The Smogon Tour is a serie of Live Tournaments starting this time on the 18th of March. The format is the same as usual, consisting of the three most recent OU generations (ORAS OU, BW OU and DPP OU, in this very order). The Live part of the tournaments will last 9 weeks where everyone will earn a certain amount of points according to their weekly performances. Once this phase is over, we'll move to PlayOffs with the 16 best players of the tournament. The winner of the Smogon Tour will obtain his Very Own Pink Trophy (
), a prize coveted by many that has and still drive his aspirants crazy...

As usual, all the tournaments will take place on the smogtours server, unless stated otherwise. The times at which they will start are unchanged and are as follow:
  • 6 PM EST on Fridays.
  • 4 PM EST on Saturdays.
  • 2 PM EST on Sundays.
Important note: Uncle Sam's country will move to DST this week-end, don't mess up on the conversion my European comrades! Especially since we're only changing our time at the end of the month. Make sure to ask around when exactly are the tours starting if you're not sure.

Remember that you can only join two tours per week. You cannot make a new account to circumvent the rule either. Also, you are not allowed to ask for wins, offer wins or interfer in other people's battles (ghosting them or their opponent). If you do any of the aforementionned, be prepared to get infracted and potentially banned from our Tournaments. We will take retroactive actions if needed.

What can we look forward to this time around? Probably some of these:
  • New French, German or Italian users coming out of nowhere and suddenly playing much better than ever before ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
  • Don't forget the Brazilians.
  • Finchinator obnoxiously spamming #FINCHTOUR21 as soon as this thread is up and then whenever the oppoturnity arises.
  • Free Baton Pass wins in DPP.
  • Some dude stuck in Round 2 when we're in Quarter Final because he's using the most passive Stall of our lifetime.
  • Masterclass explaining how he doesn't care, whether or not he makes Play-Offs.
  • Leftiez memes.
  • PDC keeping us at the verge of our seat with some of the most exciting Clefable Balances © ever stolen from ABR/Heist created.
  • Bloo alts and new users being accused of being Bloo's alts.
  • Biased and inexperiencied hosts.
  • Ton and ton of rage.

After the horrible feeling of BKC violating me in the final DPP week of ST20 which prevented me from making the 16th place tiebreaker, I've come to appreciate the beauty of losing as a learning experience.

I will attempt to play well and make playoffs, and perhaps I can feel content about all the hours I've spent on this site amounting to something.
