I built this one week ago and got me 89.9 GXE in lad then i stopped playin' it. The team struggles vs Gastrodon teams and well builded stall teams. A good variant to face these enemies is MagmaTaunt + ZSolar heatran or the MagmaTaunt non Z variant.
Do whatever you want with it. Hf ecc ecc...

Godsquads only

FIrst donsquad is built around Mega-Audino FairyDragonSteel core with M-Audino wish-passing into Heatran and Goodra.

This is the mono uncle lordsquad that has pummeled plenty of friends and ladder retards, no explanation needed just 6 uncles that want to have fun

http://pokepast.es/93f16cced042ddb4
Mono-Thottie is one of the best teams made by my good friend and future OST winner UltraBallz (sorry for posting one of the teams you want to use for OST here)
Mono-Thottie is a fire team bc you get a pokemon battle and fapfood in one, only problem with this team is that the hazard setter is copycat Lopunny

http://pokepast.es/161d99c0c7940a33
This one is quite godly because it looks like a normal team but the opponents are gonna get molested by these unsets

http://pokepast.es/4d06c0d6c7b45b6b
Now here is the best team ever made, the lordsquad that i should actually RMT because it is just that good
GUNGLE IN THE JUNGLE
If you dont know what gunga is you can read up on it here Gunga
Stench over any other ability on the stench mons to emphasize the smell of the gunga

This team is all about getting one of the 3 wincons, Volcarona / mega latias / Clefable to sweep. Magic Guard clefable will be your best bet vs Stalls of all kind. And with volcarona you can rush over teams lacking defensive answers to it. Celesteela Lures heatran and OHKO s with Earthquake, it is Evd and natured to do so. Then we have CelePex which walls everything from ash greninja to all that's not named Mega medicham Or tapu Koko. Mega medi can be weared and at the last time one shot with steela Heavy Slam / clefables moonblast and One needs Specs tapu Koko to exactly break through which is easy to take advantage of with latias or clefable on locked move. After +2 clefable starts taking 30-35% with Thunderbolt and can set up on Koko and smash the opposing team is steels have been cleared. Pretty much this team plays like offense sided balance and can sweep on any free turn it gets.

Haven't made a dump in a bit so I'll share some cool teams enjoy :

What's your strategy for +1 Zygarde? It plows through your team and gets set up opportunities on Cele and Pex, as well as unboosted Latias. Have you thought about running Unaware Clef > Magic Guard? It doesn't solve all your problems but may give you an out vs Zygarde.
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Stealth Rock
- Moonlight
- Heal Bell / Thunder Wave

It's an uncommon set but I've found it gives me peace of mind on Balance teams, especially when I'm using multi-boosters who need some momentum, like Mega Lati and Volcarona. I've used both Heal Bell (which gives your sweepers or a burnt/poisoned Zapdos a second chance) and Thunder Wave (great check for Tapu Lele, Char-X, Gyara).

Tyranitar-Mega (M) @ Tyranitarite

Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Keldeo-Resolute @ Waterium Z
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

- Secret Sword
- Taunt
- Calm Mind

Ferrothorn (M) @ Leftovers

Cheese veil running around the ladder, stolen by many people. I've played this team quite a few times so I roughly know the sets, not a 100 on that though so if you are looking for a good laddering team, try taking this and lose don't blame me.

Quick explanation of sets:
  • Azumarill - Bd set, liquidation over play rough helps with mega scizor specifically.
  • Alolan ninetales - Pretty mon that sets up veil, standard set.
  • Magearna - 2 versions of this team, I think the most optimal one is shuca berry with cm/pain split/thunderbolt (coz u don't want to be walled by pex)/fleur cannon, beats stall. Other version is shift gear + cm with a pinch berry or lefties with tbolt & ice beam as attacking moves.
  • Zygarde - Standard double dance zygarde with pinch berry to abuse veil. Sub helps get into berry range if needed + dodge status.
  • Landorus-t - Suicide lead, not much to say.
  • Mega alakazam - Standard moves, energy ball over hp fire to ko mega swampert to cover rain more easily.
Importable:

Azumarill (F) @ Normalium Z
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Aqua Jet
- Liquidation
- Knock Off

Ninetales-Alola (F) @ Light Clay
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Aurora Veil
- Freeze-Dry
- Hypnosis
- Hail

Magearna @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Pain Split
- Fleur Cannon
- Thunderbolt

Zygarde @ Iapapa Berry
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 160 HP / 216 Atk / 28 SpD / 104 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Thousand Arrows
- Substitute
- Dragon Dance
- Coil

Landorus-Therian @ Focus Sash
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Swords Dance

Alakazam-Mega (M) @ Alakazite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Energy Ball

Alternative magearna set:

Magearna @ Iapapa Berry
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shift Gear
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam

Weaknesses (that pop up in my mind):
- Sd mega scizor, can be potentially overcome with azu or zygarde under veil setting up.
- Heavily matchup reliant as with all cheese.
- Teams with lots of priority like fake out + quick attack lopunny.

For anyone who cares, I've played this few times so that's how I know sets:

SlowBrO - Bulky Offense

Bulky Offensive team I built for Iron Chef around Mega-Slowbro. Strong defensive core of Celesteela/Slowbro/Tangrowth, which features a Regenerator core before you Mega-Evolve for the Defense boost. Then Zygarde as a sweeper, Heatran sets Rocks provides a switch in to Fire-attacks. Koko is speed control and defogger. Its pretty simple, just wear your opponent down and keep Slowbro and Tangrowth alive. Identify wincon (Slowbro/Zygarde/Tapu Koko) and just wear the opponent down until they are in range of a sweep or until they lose Pokemon that can break Mega-Slowbro (this list is smaller than you think after 2 Calm Minds).

sorry about that
hey guys, so i don't think i'll be playing showdown till the next gen if i'm still interested to return so i thought i'd share my entire teambuilder & hopefully some ppl like them. i know i'm not really a famous player or anything of that sort so this might not mean much but whatever. if i can find replays, i'll post them tgt with the team. the imports are in pokepaste. so here goes.

Which ones were your most effective teams in your opinion? There's too many to choose from. Lol
hey doug, i havnt been keeping up to date anymore with the meta anymore since ive decided to quit but ill try my best to answer the question as to which teams are the most effective imo. i just wna say that when i ladder, i tend to rotate between my teams a lot so i dont have a team with a "high peak" or anything of that sort.

firstly, the psyspam team is 1 of the most recent teams i put tgt shortly b4 deciding to quit which i think is decent. its a very straightforward team where u just stack hazards. with landot and ferro. cm lele + cm/taunt keldeo score kos more ezily with hazards up + taunt shuts down any attempts at defog. zam is still the same as it was in oras, relying a lot on hazards to succesfully sweep so it works here, avoid megaing so u dont take residual/hazards till u need to, giving u the edge in hazard wars. gengar is used as a rker which soaks tspikes so i dont need hazard control and since shadow ball resists are very few in ou, if u manage to get up a lot of hazards, it can actually clean up games and it also outspeeds scarf kart which is big. twave is used on ferro over knock to prevent hawlucha sweeping.

then, ill go into the scizor + lopunny teams. reason i have so many of them is coz i strongly believe these 2 megas r the best in ou right now. of the teams i shared, i believe these are the most effective.

i rmted this team u can read about it here: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/tower-of-heaven-mega-scizor-balance.3633662/ this is also 1 of my most recent teams & its worked well for me. u basically hazard stack the opp to bring everything in range of sd scizor. cm/taunt keld here shuts down any attempts at defog, deals with steela. band tar capitalizes on zor checks like zapdos and tran, also handling zone. has dual knock off in zor and ferro so clef packs cm so the team has 2 win cons. i used this team alone to get to r5 of 7 of a smogon tour round i signed up for & was hoping to actually win the tour with this team but i lost at r5 as i got outplayed prob & me forgetting to hide my prev game might have contributed to that either idk. also i nvr intended to peak ladder with this team but when i tested it on ladder it went quite well and i was close to 1900s quite easily winning most games. i know its weak to certain stuff like zard y volcarona etc. but i addressed those points in the rmt so pls read that if u wna know more. replays for this team i actually didnt post them in prev post btw.

ive managed to be around top 20 on the ladder on mutliple alts with this scizor team but i cant show replays for these coz i didnt save any of them so its up to u to believe. sd scizor is a mega which benefits heavily on hazard stack to sweep which this team does. dd zygarde + sd scizor can put heavy pressure on a lot of teams. i run iron tail over espeed on zygarde to crush teams that use a combination of bulu + landot to stop it from sweeping, assuming it hits, but u can use espeed if u prefer. the only problem with this particular team is its my oldest scizor team, being maybe 5 months old now and as u know its hard to make teams that stay consistent in this meta but im mentioning this as this team was very very effective for me.

http://pokepast.es/2b07dde328406f74

also a more recent build. this team is weak to opposing mega lop but on ladder idt lop is the most common (doesnt change the fact i think lops very good mega). it uses dd zygarde with iron tail to crush landot for lop, iron tail to crush av bulu for lele and ashgren to wreak havoc.

http://pokepast.es/b9cba3ea7fec89b4

recent build which is actually a skeleton of a very old tour build that i changed. uses less seen stuff like sd bulu which is still really good and mega latios as wallbreakers and then ashgren as a wincon. also weak to mega lop.

http://pokepast.es/194eb099d205c556

"fire team 1". houndooms flamethrower reaches ridiculous power levels under sun. aim to get rid of heatran with houndoom, hp ground ninetales, own tran (which is spdef tran with just enuf speed for av bulu) and lastly, scald fini. doom + venu will run over teams. venu also 6-0s stall btw, giga drain the chansey.

"fire team 2". hazard stack with dd zardx. eq on ttar to deal with tran which walls zard, icy wind + edge keldeo handles both zygarde + volcarona. uses skarmory on offense which is rarely seen anymore. old team but i think it could still work.

Volt-Turn is my favorite style to play in OU, and although the current meta makes it tough, I think this team does a good job of taking advantage of it. It revolves around a double-Z double-BoltBeam core of Kyu-B and Mag.

The Kyu-B set is really great because 1) I think both Fusion Bolt and Ice Beam are necessary and 2) it forces so many switches that it's really easy to get it behind a Sub and under Electric Terrain to essentially get a STAB boost on Bolt. The EVs give it 405 HP and the rest in ATK with an Adamant nature for maximum damage output. I typically use Gigavolt Havoc, which is an absolute terror under Terrain and let's him do things like OHKO Ass Vest Mag from full and KO with the combination of Bolt + Havoc on Mega Scizor outside of Terrain. Ice Beam works perfectly here, hitting everything else for neutral or SE damage and with a nifty chance to freeze. You don't need any investment at all to OHKO Gliscor, non-Yache Landorus, and Zygarde. Set up a sub if you can Volt-Switch into Kyu-b on any of the aformentioned Pokemon.

Magearna is standard Shift Gear. This set bluffs the Assault Vest because of how my team looks at preview and can take advantage of that pretty well. It snowballs fairly easily against offense, and can use Z-Focus Blast to ensure the OHKO on Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Magnezone. I've thought about changing to Flash Cannon or Fleur Cannon > Focus Blast or Thunderbolt, so some help there is appreciated. I think Ice Beam is pretty important in the current meta, but all the other moves I think have their pros and cons. I've also considered Shuca Berry > Fightinium Z to help with Zygarde, but as long as I have Focus Blast, I'll want an option that doesn't miss.

I'm using a Dragon-Spam core with 4 Attacks Mega Latios. I do occasionally miss Roost, but the utility of both Earthquake and HP Fire on a team that has issues with Steels is invaluable. Psyshock is my main answer for Poison types and makes a good neutral move if you suspect a Fairy switch in. I've also considered Energy Ball > HP Fire to help with Rain and Gastrodon, but Ferrothorn was tougher to handle in testing.

Scarf Koko is one of my favorite sets at the moment. I like it's speed for beating other common scarfers, and revenge killing a number of boosted threats. I have Defog as a back-up in case of T-Spikes or Spikes, but I usually expect to play with Rocks on the field. Typically my lead, and I'll pivot with U-turn out to Kyu-b to start breaking through.

Yache Defensive Lando is a set I've used before that does a very good job of living the hits it's supposed to survive. It can set up Rocks on Mega Medicham, Greninja, and Tapu Koko, and occasionally bluffs the Scarf since no Rocky Helmet or Lefties.

The newest addition is U-turn Ash Gren. Originally it was LO Physical Mixed Protean, but I missed a strong priority move and decent coverage on Psychic types. So far, it's performed well, and I don't mind revealing early on that it's Battle Bond since most opponents will want to keep it from getting it's form, which usually means a switch and a free U-turn. I like U-turn over Spikes since a choiced mon locked into Spikes can be set-up bait, and I don't have too many second chances with this team.

The team struggles a bit with Rain, bulky Steels, boosting Fire types, and Excadrill on Sand. The bolded areas are where I'd appreciate suggestions, but any suggestions are welcome.

Cool team, i like VoltTurn too but haven't be able to make it work, at a quick glance there is no reason to have 2 Z-Moves as one item is guaranteed to be useless each game, you'd be better with Life Orb on Kyurem as you have Roost to heal off the residual damage and you don't have Freeze Shock to do the massive damage stanmdard Z Kyurem can do. On Koko you may as well go full phys with Wild Charge, it's stronger and your U-Turn will do more damage, plus your only physical attacker in Landorus, the recoil sucks but as a late game cleaner it often doesn't matter. Lastly I would recommend Defog somewhere on Latios, you really need a more reliable removal method than Scarf Koko as your game plan relies so much on switching. Other than that awesome team.

Hi this is one of the first teams I made after I learned what the tiers are and what is viable. It is based off of a team I used on Nintendo in USUM which was with regular latios and landorus-incarnate + shiinotic instead of gliscor and ferrothorn. And also it had primarina instead of keldeo. With this team I got a lot of wins in wifi battles so I thought I would remake it. I changed the pokemon mainly to pokemon with the same type but more viable. I got some help from the OU room to refine it. The concept is that muk will trap things that stop keldeo. So latios and latias and tapu bulu. Tapu Koko is choice scarf for speed control and gliscor and ferrothorn are for hazard. Keldeo has hp electric so it can 2hko toxapex in electric terrain. 252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Hidden Power Electric vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Toxapex in Electric Terrain: 168-198 (55.4 - 65.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

I made this team during a rate in the RMT section & have found it incredibly fun to play with. Zard-Y is obviously not as good as it used to be, but it does have a few things going for it. First, Toxapex's overall effectiveness has fallen a bit, meaning that one of Zard-Y's biggest counters isn't annoying it as much. Zard-Y also nukes a lot of passive Pokemon that have been increasing in usage, such as Clefable, Gastrodon, Reuniclus, and Torn-T. Heatran helps Zard-Y immensely, being able to trap annoying Pokemon for it like Toxapex and Chansey; Magma Storm under Sun is also relatively hard to switch into. Weavile is here because it can effectively trap the Eon twins for Zard-Y and it appreciates the Fire core removing Steel- types for it. Grass Spam handles all the Water- and Ground- types that are threatening to the the first three members - think Ash-Gren, Keldeo, and Zygarde. Kartana is also a fantastic cleaner on the team, because similarly to Weavile, it loves Steel- types being weakened for the potential late game sweep. Landorus-T was an easy glue Pokemon to choose, as it provided an Electric immunity, hazard control, and Hawlucha answer. The team takes a bit of practice and aggressive playing to get used to, but when used correctly, it's very enjoyable. Have fun :toast:

Before I begin, i'd like to thank eternam and vso for inspiring and helping me to create this team and test the team respectively. while i won't tag either of you, i just wanted to show my gratitude by posting this build. This team was built around weavile - an incredibly underrated and anti-meta option in the current meta. Similar to greninja, weavile is an incredible breaker that also happens to possess an incredible matchup against offence due to its ability to break common balance staples, including tapu bulu, landorus, mega latias and clefable, while being able to cripple other staples, such as celesteela, ferrothron, gastrodon and toxapex.

Speaking of greninja, i noticed that greninja and weavile share similar checks, namely av magearna, keldeo and clefable, while also having the ability to weaken said checks for greninja, so naturally, greninja was my next pick. I had noticed that this particular core had trouble breaking though stall, and could not switch into mons such as scarf kartana, scizor and tapu lele, so I immediately thought to Heatran. Heatran also happened to have access to rocks, which solidified it as the next option. Now, this is where eternam's input begins - I had originally placed AV Bulu in this slot, as the team lacked not only a rain check, but also served as my decidacted electric, water resisist and lele resist. However, as eternam would later mention, the lack of a volt switch immunity and the fact the team would later have two steels, lele would not be an issue, so i opted for gastrodon, as it exchanged the passive healing on heatran for the aforementioned electric immunity and a water immunity. Curse Scizor - arguably its best set - was added to give a consistent check to broken zygarde, as well as providing an answer to mamoswine, mawile, kartana and an additional check to lele - all of which could singlehandedly break past the prior 'mons with minimal thinking required. Lastly, tornadus servers as the defogger of the team, as the large majority of the team is highly susceptible to hazards, while providing the team with a decent stallbreaker. Heat wave was chosen over u-turn to remove ferrothorn and scizor for greninja and weavile respectively, however U-turn can be used if you feel that ferro / sciz is sufficiently covered.

This team was built around the core of Zygarde + Greninja, as (like above), the two shared similar checks, only this time it was in the form of fat grasses and clefable. Groundium zygarde puts enough pressure on mons such as tapu bulu, clefable and venusaur to the point where they can no longer stay at a range where they can safely check gren, while gren can apply enough pressure in order for zygarde to break past the weakened 'mons. Amoonguss was added as i not only needed a grass, fairy and fighting resist that could also punish koko for spamming hp ice. Curse scizor was once again added to this build as it required a consistent answer to zygarde, mamoswine, mawile and latios, whilst being able to dismantle offensive builds. Clefable was added due to its ability to set rocks and immensely pressure bulkier builds, while being able to compress said role with the ability to check mmedi as well as being a general blanket check to anything that neither amoonguss or scizor appreciates. Fat Scarf lando was added as it serves as an offensive check to the previously listed, as well as acting as the team's defogger and glue, being able to revenge kill mons such as zygarde, tapu koko and medicham.

This is a simple team I made around the concept of weavile + reuniclus, something I had discussed over discord with TPP and eternam. The two are able to immensely pressure bulkier builds, as well as break past one another's checks. Reuni + weavile also put a halt to most offensive builds, as renui is able to wall a notable number of common breakers, while lele could pursuit trap breakers that reuni couldn't check. I added heatran as it really appreciated reuniclus' ability to check the fighting types that would force tran out, while appreciating weavile's ability to pursuit trap 'mons such as fightinium z lele, mmedi, mega lati@s and even kartana, while scaring out the grounds (namely zygarde and gliscor) that commonly threaten tran out. It also served as another stallbreaker, as it possesses the ability to remove 'mons such as pyukumuku and mega sableye for reuniclus. Gastro was added to patch the immense koko / gren weakness that the team had developed, whilst doubling as the volt switch blocker. Much like heatran, gastro appreciates weavile and heatran's ability to break past grasses with ease, while appreciating having a status absorber on the team to minimalise fear of toxic. Since the screens ho matchup was looking bleak and the team lacked a proper mega lati@s answer, I added clefable as a soft check to the aforementioned. Clef provided the build with rocks, another fighting resist and a passive form of recovery for heatran and gastrodon. Torn was added, as the team was incredibly susceptible to hazards, whilst doubling up as the dedicated balance breaker. One thing to note is that the team lacks speed control (and speed in general) so opting for twave on clef is always an option.

So it was around 4 weeks ago that I realised that hp fire latios was an amazing partner to Ash greninja, seeing that it was able to not only lure in ferrothron, but also beat magearna, so I decided to build around this core. Being a simple cookie-cutter bulky offense, there's not much to say about it. Magearna and lando forms the usual voltturn core. However, one thing to note is the fact that Magearna carries energy ball for gastro, which is crucial for ash gren. HP fire can easily be used here - which it originally was - but after testing with anish, there was no reason for me not to use energy ball, especially considering the number of gastro he brought. Heatran was originally grassium z, but after some extensive testing, I decided to opt for the standard utility set rather than an offensive z set, as it greatly improved the stall matchup. Tornadus rounds off this build, providing an excellent kartana and hawlucha answer while providing the team with defog, as well as acting as the secondary stallbreaker. The ev spread was adapted from ban mana's torn spread and adapted to fit this team, as it allows torn to live the +2 all out pummelling from kartana from full. One thing to note is that the stall matchup is incredibly difficult, so making aggressive plays with tornadus / tran is the most ideal way to play.

This team comes from me testing with TPP for wcop qualifications. He had told me stories of people using unique 'mons in their builds, so I whipped this creation up in less than 5 minutes. This team is built around the concept of Decidueye being able to trap common greninja switch-ins such as Ferrothorn, Toxapex, Tangrowth, Tapu Bulu and Gastrodon and allow Greninja to clean. I added ferrothorn and landorus as I wanted spikes support for both decidueye and greninja as well as rocks. The core of ferrothorn and landorus acts very similarly to magearna and landorus, although ferrothorn is much more susceptible to magnezone and is much harder to wear down thanks to leech seed. Kartana was added to double down on balance and stall. Specially defensive zygarde was a set I had heard from qplaz and eternam, so I decided to use it in this instance, and it performed fantastically. It's able to basically win versus stall as long as the unaware user has been removed. So to conclude, this team is only semi serious, so don't expect it to work wonders. Side note, the song excellent and is based on a tragic event. Who would have ever guessed?

I made this around the core of tapu koko + kartana, two mons that (arguably) share similar checks. Stealth Rock mega ttar was my next option, as it is able to easily pursuit trap a large number of kartana's checks, zapdos, tornadus-t and mega lati@s, whilst providing excellent utility in the form of near guaranteed rocks. I say this as mega ttar is easily able to beat the large majority of the tier's defoggers - sans mega scizor - with the combination of pursuit, stone edge and ice punch. Heatran was added as it synergises amazingly with ttar, as well it providing the team with another stallbreaker. Wisp is used to cripple zygarde, mmedi and hawlucha on the switch. AV Bulu was my next choice, as it gave the team a ground resist, as well as additional lele counterplay and a rain check. The spread ensures that bulu always avoids the 2hko from specs psyshock and moonblast factoring in grassy terrain. Lando was added, as the team was particularly weak to zygarde and other misc. fighting types, whilst also providing defog support. Not much to say about this really, though I should mention that when playing stall, stone edge in base form on mega sableye's protect to bluff the band, then mega the second turn and set rocks for a guranteed outplay.
